Gianna & Xavier

They met when Gianna saved Xavier and called for help. From there, it was an instant attraction. I’m loving the development of the relationship between the two.

2nd read was the newly released audiobook narrated by Winston James & Trei Taylor

What an interesting way to meet your soulmate. It's not your run of the mill girl meets boy but, it'll definitely be an interesting story to tell the grandkids. Gianna was that chick! She was not afraid to shoot her shot and go after what she wants. She and Xavier were perfect for each other. Their chemistry was off the charts. While there was no relationship drama, it came in other various forms. From difficult family members to secret illnesses. It'll still have you giving plenty of side eye and grabbing tissues for the tears you're sure to cry. Then, the introduction of Zion had my interest peaked good and proper. I can't wait to find out what went down between him and Aurora. Gianna's story was a great introduction to The Parker Sister's series. I loved that her and Xavier's love story was so unproblematic. I can't wait to read about the other sisters.

New To Me

I didn’t know what to expect from this book. I went in blind. I just knew a lot of my mutuals enjoy the authors work and I loved the covers. It wasn’t what I was expecting but I enjoyed it. I loved the way Xavier moves, confident, a little aggressive, and with purpose. For the most part I liked Gianna she’s fun and confident and kind of a badass. But it’s always a little hard to read about grief and not judging the characters because the don’t act how I would or think they should. I’m not sure I’m ready for the rest of the books on this series but I’m looking forward to reading more from the author.

This is my first book from Tay Mo'Nae and it won't be my last. I love the family dynamic and I loved the way that Gianna and Xavier fell for each other. There was definitely a lot going on. I hope to learn more in the next book.

Linsey and Xander SMH! Writing kept me engaged and begging for more. When I got to the end I was looking for more pages. Loved the book.

Gianna

This was a pretty much unproblematic love story for G and X. The drama came in various forms and different angles from wayward family members (Xander) to secret illnesses (mama :(). The illness hit home for me because I just lost a loved one to the same thing and many of the family members were kept in the dark. This author has a way of drawing us into the supporting cast. Like I am way more interested in Zion and Aurora just from his brief appearance and I am way too curious about Renee’s plight now!

G & X

Gianna is such a vibe! I love how spoiled and don’t take no ish from no one she is. Xavier is such a man who shows actions are louder than words. Although they met in a worse situation, it worked perfectly for them. A few errors here and there but this author can pen a story. Can’t wait to read the other sisters book. Definitely recommend

Great start to series

What a way to start a series. Gianna and Xavier were everything. I loved how Gianna was the one to save Xaviers life and she was also the possessive one of their relationship, I was so here for it, sis played no games and Xavier loved it. While Xavier changed his life around he still had ties to the streets and would get his hands dirty if necessary. Xavier was also quite the charmer and had the Parker women loving him. Gianna was so spoiled but Xavier knew just how to handle her possessive and spoiled side. This was a cute love story and a great way to start the series. I hope we get something from Naja and Dre, they seem like they would be an interesting read.

Good, but too many loose ends

The book started off strong. It was a very unconventional way to meet and fall in love with someone. However, there are a lot of things happening with various characters that leave too many loose ends. The ending also seemed a bit rushed and didn’t necessarily entice me to want to read part 2 (which I assume there will be one since there was no closure)..

This was really good💕

It's been awhile since I've read one of Queen Tay Mo'Nae's books and she did not disappoint with this first installment of The Parker Sisters.
Lindsay mouth wrote a check her a** couldn't cash. She was warned and tried to show out worth her friends and got her face rearranged😂😂😂.
I would love to read about Naja and Dre.
Xander was a freakin narcissist. Dude really only saw himself and his wants with no regard for who was effected by the dumb sh*t he kept doing. Now ish done hot the fan and he gotta live worth the consequences.
My heart broke💔for the Parker's. Knowing That this is the third time Mrs. Parker is hit with this😢. Mr. Parker is a real one and although I don't agree with them keeping things from their daughters, I understood him wanting to respect his wife's wishes and his need to protect her peace.
I can't wait to read Auroras story cause she's hurting, but you can tell that her and Zion still love each other.
Gi-Gi was a spoiled fu**ing brat that kinda irked my nerves at times. She met her match with Xavier, cause although he spoiled her, he didn't take her sh*t. The way they met wasn't conventional, but their connection, their chemistry was crazy. I really enjoyed everything about their journey to love💕

Tay Mo'Nay I love these sisters. Gianna reminds me of my sister spoiled. I love how her heart was so good though. She was such a carefree person. Watching her maneuver through issues that could break someone just gave her more of a sweet place in me.
Xavier is a good man. I love how he takes charge without caring because his actions are pure. I can't wait to see the next sisters situation 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

The Parker sister series got off to a great start with this. One night, Gianna saved Xavier, and the two have been inseparable ever since. The two had an instant connection and chemistry. Gianna was dealt spoiled. I believe that there were several issues that were not addressed but which, hopefully, will be throughout the series, such as Mrs. Adrianna's health.

That was too quick! Lol I really enjoyed Gianna’s book. Xavier was that guy!!! The way they met was a hot mess! LITERALLY, but it worked out because he fell into the right woman.

Gianna as spoiled as she may be I liked her. I don’t usually like spoiled in books. Lol. She grew on me quick. Maybe it was her medical background.

The spice was “spicing” 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ 😮‍💨😮‍💨🫡 lol

Gianna x Xavier

I was prepared to not like Gianna, honestly. When they kept mentioning how spoiled she was, I just knew that she was going to be a headache. But she turned out to be an utter sweetheart 😍I ain't gone lie, I was thrown off about Xavier situation, but when he explained everything, I was like ahhhhh. The chemistry between them was natural & so refreshing. I completely understood Gianna wanting her mom to fight & even when things didn't go her way, I didn't blame her. Xavier was everything she needed in that time & he really stepped up for her. The dynamic between the Parker sisters was so beautiful & I can't wait to dive in for more 🥰

Gianna Girl

The Parker sister's story feels like I've read this one before. It is like dejavu. The story was a good thing, and the characters were lovable. The thing with the mom was just left hanging. What is the deal? Overall, the story was nice.

This is my first read from Tay Mo’Nae and I’m mad at myself for waiting so long to read her work.

Gianna is the baby of the Parker sisters and I absolutely love her. She’s a headstrong, independent, and intelligent nurse that’s not afraid to speak her mind and go after what she wants. And yes, she’s spoiled!

Xavier is definitely bae. 😍 He’s a street dude turned businessman who owns a construction company. Charming. Loyal. An upstanding guy. Very good with his hands. He kinda remind you of a legal thug. I just love a smooth, sexy, smart, caring and educated man that doesn’t take no sh*t. So back off ladies, he’s MINES! 😈

The book starts of with an interesting & unforgettable meeting between the two. Who would have thought that you’ll find love after meeting like that!? They are absolutely perfect for each other and I love their chemistry.

There isn’t much relationship drama between them, however it did come in other forms. Lindsey got on my nerves and I’m soooo glad Gianna gave her what she was asking for. I was so over Xander and his shenanigans. I hate what happened to him, but you get what you give. 🤷🏽‍♀️

I loved Gianna and Xander’s relationships with their best friends; Naja and Dre. It’s hard to find real friends that are loyal and supportive as they are. I love (more like envy. Yeah, I’m jealous.) the relationship of the Parker sisters. I wish I had sisters! 😢 I can’t wait to read Aurora and Sloane’s stories. Especially Aurora’s because the way Zion popped up… I’m very intrigued.

Y’all are going to love this book. It’s a five star read for me. Yes, it’s some unanswered questions at the end, but I’m sure the author will answer them in the other sisters books. You’ll definitely be rolling your eyes, grabbing your tissue box, and getting all the feels from this story! And those sex scenes! Mannnn, I’m not gonna lie, I had to wake up my hubby to get me a quicky! 😝

This story, is a great introduction to the Parker sisters. So download it and read it for yourself. You will not regret it.

Anything Tay Monáe writes, I’m reading!!!!! She has such a gift with a pen and always picks the best narrators. This new sisters series is off to a great start! The baby sister is always the extra sister 😂, but the family dynamic feels so real and heartfelt.

The storyline around their mother touched me deeply since I’ve been through something similar with my own mom. No matter how much you prepare, you never really are. I loved how the main character had the support of her family, was secure in her career, and still found love in the midst of tragedy. Xavier’s own family struggles made their connection even more beautiful and healing. An emotional and uplifting start to a series I can’t wait to keep reading.

SIDENOTE (aka “Don’t come for my stars!”):
Just a quick heads-up my ratings are based on whether I’d reread the book or add it to my personal collection, not the quality of the story itself. So here’s how I roll:

5 🤩 = I’m obsessed with everything the storyline, the author, and the narrators! I read it yearly and own ALL the copies: physical, digital, and Audible. I can basically recite this book. It lives in my private library.
4 🌟 = Loved the story, the author, and the narrator (if it’s audio). I’d happily reread it when I need a solid comfort read.
3 ✨ = Enjoyed the story, the author, and definitely the narrators. A great addition to my yearly reading challenge likely to revisit if it’s part of a series I need to refresh.

While I was feeling the vibes of Gianna and Xavier, I could do without Gianna and her spoiled bratty ways.

One thing I love is a story with strong family bonds and the Parker family had that. I was a bit upset that her parents would keep such a big secret from them, yet I do get a parent wanting to protect their children. I love that Mr. Parker let Xavier know that he wasn't playing about his baby girl and that he was a straight shooter 😏.

The dynamic between the Parker sisters is interesting. I'm still trying to fill out the other two, yet Gianna surely isn't my favorite.

Although I get that Xavier was trying to hold up to his deceased parents wishes of him and his brother Xander, having each other's back, I'm glad Xavier washed his hands of his brother and his crazy immature antics. There was no reason for Xavier to have been caught up in Xanders mess and the last time was the last time.

Xavier being there for Gianna was heartwarming. I know they're new, yet the way he wanted to be there and comfort her once she started spiraling due to her mom's health, was so sweet. I'm glad he was there and hope these two last a lifetime.

That ex, Lindsey, was asking for it and Gianna gave it to her. I hope she truly stays away and moves on.

This was a great intro to the Parker sisters. On to the next.

Good read. Highly recommend.

The Spoiled One....

Ms. Mo'Nae I can tell from this first installment that this series is going to be intriguing. Gianna is most definitely the spoiled sister of the three. It is usually the "baby" of the crew that is. I do love the fact she is a nurse. She is going after her bag. I think her and Xavier complement each other well. Xavier is going to have, "to get his weight up," when Gianna is in an inebriated state. She becomes an energized bunny that he struggles to keep up with.

This is a magnificent read, that has a lot going on simultaneously. It is quite a few loose ends that need to be tied up. I get the feeling between the next two installments Mrs. Adrianna health is going to steadily decline. I also want to know what is really going on with Xander. It has to be a lot more to his story than we currently know. I am anticipating who Aurora is going to be with. She is most definitely the stubborn sister, a feminist, with a strong personality. And Naja, Gianna bestie, made be heading down a road the leads to heartbreak. Sloane seems like the only sister with all of her ducks in a row, but I know looks can be deceiving. You can say I'm looking forward to more about the Parker sisters. This first book has started off with a bang. I highly suggest it, you will not be disappointed.

Ummm I need more! This story had a lot going on and I believe the trope here was strangers to lovers in an it’s meant to be “kismet” kind of way. Gianna was a fun character but boy was she spoiled and that almost ruined her for me towards the end of the book. Everyone experiences grief differently but I wish Gianna was more understanding of everyone not just her on feelings. Xavier had an unfortunate event to occur that caused him to fall right in the sight of Gianna. It sucks that the source of his problems was someone close to him, but the fact that he got to meet Gianna made up for it. Xavier learned a hard lesson on letting people live their lives how they want. You can only control you. I feel like there is still more to come from the Parker sisters. Aurora and her ex and Sloane and her husband have more to tell. I also think the journey between Gianna and Xavier is new and will continue to develop! Looking forward to the next install for this series!

Great Story

What a way to meet somebody!!! Not quite a meet cute, but definitely a meet unforgettable.😁 Xavier and Gianna were such a cute couple! I love that Gianna was not coy about what she wanted. When Xavier asked her out she didn't play around, she said yes immediately and when they went out, she let him know she was feeling him. Xavier was Bae, he was such cool dude. I do think he was too nice to both Xander and Lindsay though.😑 I loved their best friends, Dre and Naja. Both supportive friends who have their own chemistry. The Parker family is a beautiful, tight knit unit. A couple of their scenes had me in my feels, but it's real and it's life. I'm looking forward to Aurora and (hopefully!) Zion's story. They definitely got some black history I want to read about! Gianna and Xavier's story was great and I'm excited to read more of the Parker Sisters.

❤️

This was a cute book and a great introduction to the Parker Sisters. I loved the bond that Gianna has with her sisters. She’s the baby girl but I can tell she will move Heaven and earth for her family. One night out Gianna finds herself helping a stranger that was shot and left for dead. That big heart of hers helped form a new love interest- Xavier. I love love Xavier’s character! He has this good boy demeanor but he isn’t opposed to getting his hands dirty. The way that he handled Gianna and loved her when she was low, earned my respect. I love these two together. The book has just enough family drama and some hot and heavy love scenes. It was heavy- just a little when it came to the girls’ mother but I think the topic was handled well. I am eager to learn more about this family. Good work! 👏🏾

Now this was an interesting way to meet yo man! I loved how open and free Gianna is about everything in her life. She is about business when it's time, but she can turn up too when she wants! 😂 Xavier, has had to take on the role of caretaker/protector/fixer for his problematic older brother, who just can't get his ish together! Gianna saving his life was the catalyst to their blossoming relationship. They are adorable together! I hated that Gianna's parents kept something so important from the girls! It seemed to do more harm than good. I know that there is more to come about the other sisters, but that ending felt so abrupt and incomplete. However, I am very much looking forward to Aurora's story. She's the wildcard! 👍👍👍

Gianna and Xavier love story was super cute. Gianna was bratty at times but X knows how to handle her and her spoiled ways.

I was shocked to hear about Renee’s husband. I need a story on her finding love again.

GiGi and her sisters were amazing and I really like how close she and Naja were. Same for Dre and X. Would be interested to see if any thing will come from Naja and Dre kicking it.

Xander seems like a lost cause just hope X doesn’t suffer for it.

I will say this story felt incomplete for me. Will we get a back story for Sloane and Jace. Or aurora and ole boy ( forgot his name ☺️) I want to assume there will be more since the title is Parker sisters but until then I have unfinished business.

I’m Waiting For The Next One!!

That was a messed up way to meet. Gianna sisters were worried about her, especially since she said she was at the hospital. Xavier was tired of bailing his older brother out. That’s why Xavier got shot because him and Xander looks so much alike. That’s was all Gianna had to do to make Lindsay to stop messing with them? I happy Gianna realize she has to much to lose by fighting. Xavier felt some kind of a way by not being there for Xander because he wanted to shoot up ole boy car up in board day light. I feel sorry for Renee because got to take of a baby because of husband’s cheating. Naja and Dre are just having a good time. Aurora is going to meet her match when she meets J. Elliot. Sloane and Aurora is willing to come to terms with their mama diagnosis, but Gianna is still dealing coming to terms with it.

I’m loving the Parker Sisters! Each of them brings a different dynamic but they work as sisters. Now with Gianna and Xavier…what a way to meet your man! I loved their dynamic, and how they work with each other knowing their personalities. Gianna was definitely spoiled but honestly I thought it was pretty funny because it wasn’t an annoying spoiled. Their chemistry was on point and I loved how they were with each other especially with the bad news about Gianna’s mom. Xavier is the alpha male type I love, strong when he needs to be but also soft when it’s necessary. Can’t wait to read about the other sisters!

Tay Mo’Nae never disappoints! This short but sweet book captured my attention from page one!

Gianna was everything and so was Xavier. Seeing their budding relationship grow and develop into what it became was beautiful. I enjoyed how Xavier was there for Gianna and helped her keep a leveled head during a difficult time. I love Xavier step back and allowed his brother to clean up his own mess. I loved the camaraderie that Gianna and her sisters had.

Tay wrote this novella with precision. Even though the book was short I didn’t walk away feeling like I was missing something. I would definitely recommend this book!
