Working at a women's magazine definitely has its perks, including a free vacation to the Bahamas. The catch? I have to help my best friend, Gem, host a singles cruise that uses your zodiac sign to match you with your soulmate.
Ya know, if you drink the Kool-Aid.
I find the whole thing amusing until she starts to set me up with every Aquarius, Cancer, and Virgo on the boat.
Then I meet Gage. A Leo.
He's the exact opposite of my ideal match by zodiac standards, and is the perfect solution to get Gem off my back.
Then the stars align, and I find myself drowning in love whether I want to or not.
But I guess that's what I deserve for tempting fate.
Kelsie is a sucker for a love story with all the feels. When she's not chasing words for her next book, you will probably find her reading or, more likely, hanging out with her husband and playing with her three kiddos who love to drive her crazy.
She adores photography, baking, her yorkie, Bob, and her devon rex, Mara. And now that she's actively pursuing her writing dreams, she's set her sights on someday finding the self-discipline to not binge-watch an entire series on Netflix in one sitting.
This is my sixth Written in the Stars story and I am still loving everything about this series PLUS I can add yet another new to me author to my like list! Yay To be fair, this is actually the second book by this author that I have read but I read them both back to back so I can still say this read falls under new to me … but I digress LOL
Drowning in Love has just about the best meet-cute of all time! From there the story was just fun for me! I loved the cruise idea because it allowed them to get from point A (meet) to point B (HEA) in a believable way. Close proximity tropes allow for relationships to blossom and grow quite quickly without the feeling of insta to them. I like that a lot! I liked everything abut this story. I liked how it unfolded and how they grew into a relationship and it was beautifully written. #win
Book 6 in the Written in the Stars series and it was a great addition. First book that I have read from Kelsie Rae and I loved it. I was pulled in from the first chapter and it didn’t let me go until the very last page. Gage and Nora were such a great couple. They have the best meet cute but due to a misunderstanding, they don’t get to see where it can go. They meet again while on a singles cruise that her company is running. Loved the chemistry between them. Great read and I can’t wait to read more from this author.
I read an early review copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
This was a quick read. Gage and Nora both had issues with love, but they let it go and all ended well. This was a near PG rated story with no real steam to it. Very sweet.
Kelsie Rae has proved again why she is one of my favorite authors! I loved it! Such a cute story, with what is now my favorite meet cute of all time!!! Gage and Nora were a great couple, and bonus points for tying this story into her Signature Sweethearts series.
Nora and Gage fall for each other the first time they meet but its under the most crazy circumstances ever. After their initial run in, they don't see each other until a few weeks later when they are on a singles cruise. Sparks fly but can these two with the wrong zodiac sign make it. I love Kelsie and this book also gives you a glimpse into another book she is writing with Saylor and Owen.
Drowning in Love made me giddy right from the start and my heart might have skipped a beat or two. If you aren’t fascinated as soon as Gage comes into the picture, we can’t be friends. He could call me pretty girl for the rest of my life, and I would probably still blush. Nora and Gage are two imperfect people that couldn’t be more right for each other. They just need time to figure that out and not let their own vices get in the way of their own happily ever after. You need to read this book for the game, the signs, the massage, and the brownies alone. Nora’s best friend, Gemma, is over the top and you will either be laughing or rolling your eyes in the best way. Kelsie, I would gladly drown in Gage’s love forever.
Wow Book 6 in Written in the Stars series was yet an other an amazing book! Thus far I have loved every single standalone book in this series and this is no different! From the time they first met, to their next adventure your sitting there wondering what is there individual stories AND ARE THEY GOING TO GET A HAPPILY EVER AFTER?!?!?! Ya'll pick this book up! you're going to laugh, smile, cry, feel happiness and heart break all while rooting for theses to amazing characters. You Will Love Nora, shes a shy, sweet, doll who really has that motherly instinct when it comes to people she loves. And Gage! OMG in my head he is one hot book boyfriend! He is complex but at the same time hes honest, arrogant, cocky but you can't help but fall in love with his character. Do your self a favor and pick up this book. Your going to love it! you'll love this whole series!
This is Book 6 in the Written in the Stars series, and personally, I felt this book was much better than the others I’d read. Although it seemed to be another book about young adults going on a cruise, and looking for hookups, it’s not at all what I was worried it would be. This was a book about a couple who really weren’t into astrology, meeting randomly twice and realizing it’s better to spend time together than deal with the typical young adult meat-market cruise.
Nora works at a woman’s magazine and she and her best friend Gem, are on the cruise to manage the events, presumably to help young singles find their soul-mate. Gage joined his work friends at a discounted rate cruise, hoping for a chance to chill for a bit. When he sees Nora (this is his second encounter), the two agree to pretend to be a couple to get their friends to leave them alone. But pretence becomes reality as the two take a number of pairs/couples events together designed to help them learn more about their other half, and to get closer.
I really enjoyed this book from the original meet-cute, to the second meet-cute, to the pretend relationship. I enjoy Kelsey Rae’s journey of discovery to HEA without too much extraneous side situations to distract from the main couple. Would really like to read Gem’s story in the future! I think she deserves her own HEA (hopefully not to expected given her dependence on astrology signs and their compatibility!)
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

If only he felt the same way.
Loved Gage and Nora's story! Freaking loved every single page. There were many lol moments while reading this book. One of my favorite parts was when they first met. So not to give anything away you will just have to buy this book. Great summer read.
Gage proposes to Nora within 5 minutes of meeting her. Too bad he’s as drunk as a skunk and does it for the crowd effects at a college football game.
When he fails to return to his seat to get Nora’s phone numbers, Nora is hurt and a little emotional.
Enter the singles, horoscope cruise that Nora is helping her best friend organize for the magazine they work for. Gage is on the cruise because his friends and coworkers convince him it’s a great way to meet single ladies.
While Gage is not looking for long-term or even a relationship, he encounters Nora. They agree to a pretend ‘match’ but each of them becomes more enthralled with the other as they attend workshops and learn more about the other person.
I loved Gage, he’s sweet and yet strong and willing to take the plunge after getting to really know and enjoy Nora.
Thanks to her brother, Nora finds herself sitting next to one handsome Gage at a football game. He acts all swoony toward her, even proposing marriage! But Nora isn't about to fall for his antics. What she doesn't realize, however, is that fate is ready to play her card and prove to Nora that Gage was meant to be in her life.
Gage knows deep inside that Nora is meant to be his, and is about to do anything he can to keep her in his life. What he didn't expect was to lose her after being at a football game, only to have the Universe work in his favor, and see her again on a singles cruise.
The waves are rocking, and love is knocking! Will Nora and Gage take their feelings to the next level? Will their singles cruise bind them for life? Well, I would tell you, but then it'd ruin all the fun in you reading this great novella in the Written in the Stars series!
From the moment they met, Nora and Gage’s relationship has been something different. Though, I loved the way they first met because it was fun, memorable and a complete surprise. Their second meeting is when sparks really start to fly and that connection starts to form.
I love the cruise aspect of the book. It was something fun and different. Everything about the cruise was a surprise and both Nora and Gage learned a lot about themselves as individuals, but also about a relationship. Both of them want something different when it comes to relationships, however, they can’t deny their chemistry.
This story also sets up a book between Nora’s brother, Owen, and his high school love. I loved every single moment of this story. It was a fairly quick read, but perfect for a weekend read.
Nora and Gage are perfect for each other even if their signs aren’t necessarily a match on paper. Nora and her friend work for a magazine that is having a horoscope themed singles cruise during an eclipse. Gage and his buddies go on the cruise not hoping to meet their soulmates but to have a good time. Gage and Nora had already met a month before but didn’t exchange numbers. They see each other again on the cruise and that’s where the sparks start flying. Brownie points to Kelsie for the tie in to the Signature Sweethearts series. (If you haven’t read that series, you really need to!) Kelsie is one of if not my favorite author. Love, love, LOVE!!!!!
Nora finds herself on a singles cruise helping her best friend Gem match the passengers based on astronomy. The last person she expected to see was Gage, a man who she only met once but it was a meeting that neither of them would ever forget.
Gage and his buddies are on the cruise looking for some fun in the sun and not a love match. When he and Nora end up spending time together to avoid being matched they may just find what they didn’t know they were looking for in each other.
Their personalities were very different, but they couldn’t have been more similar when it comes to what really counts and that is their feelings for each other.
Nora and Gage!! I love them. There first meeting was literally the cutest thing ever! I loved the astrology cruise and how it played a part in their story. These two are super cute together, the banter is wonderful and I loved how the grew together. I am now craving brownies. Also I loved how it tied into her signature series, I was already super excited for the next book but now I really can’t wait! This is definitely one of my favorite Kelsie Rae books yet. Read this book and then read the rest of the series because I am loving it!
I’m a big fan of Kelsie’s writing and Drowning in Love is one of my favorite books by Kelsie. This book had me laughing one minute and swooning the next. I loved the way it starts out with Nora meeting Gage at a football game and him proposing to her, then them not seeing one another again until he signs up to go on a singles cruise with his friends. The ending was one of the best endings I’ve ever read in a book. This was such a sweet read that had me all gooey inside just like brownie batter.
Drowning in Love is book 6 in the series Written in the Stars series, this series just continues to show the talent of each individual writer! This is the first book of Kelsie Rae that I have read so I didn’t know what to expect once I started reading, but I was blown away by the pure raw talent that I was reading!!! Gage and Nora are such an adorable couple and they way they connected especially at the very beginning!!! Not only was this an amazing story line but it also came with relationship advice for couples!! It will definitely make you want to perfect your brownie batter!!!
Such a fun insta-love story that i read in one sitting. From the proposal at the beginning to the proposal at that end, Nora and Gage kept me entertained. Was it fate or did the stars and an eclipse align for them to start a relationship. Not looking for anything more than hanging out on a singles cruise, both Nora and Gage soon start to form feelings for one another. The events from the Star's cruise make them both question what they want in live, do they want batter or the real thing.

The first chapters had me hooked! Gage and Nora stole the show and then, Bam! Noooooooo. I wasn’t sure if I should keep reading. I’m so glad I did.
Nora helps her friend Gem host a cruise sponsored by the magazine they work for. It’s a zodiac cruise for singles to find their perfect match. Nora plays the game and is brought to her knees when she reconnects with Gage and learns that drowning in love makes you feel so alive. Will her heart survive is he doesn’t feel the same?
I absolutely love this book. The whole series so far has been highly enjoyable. This book is Nora and Gage's story. They meet at a college football game when Gage spontaneously proposes to Nora. Yes they were strangers. Fast forward a month and they meet again on a Written in the Stars singles cruise. What starts out as a mutual deal of friendships turn into so much more. Will Nora have her happily ever after? Be sure to read to find out.
Gage & Nora's meeting was a little unconventional, but kinda cute and a little funny. Their second meeting's location was just about as funny but was the perfect location for dating, if the stars aligned. I loved that it not only gave them time to get to know each other in some fun ways, it also gave them the opportunity to dive through their reasons to not want long term relationships. Their chemistry was also off the charts. I loved it. I swooned.
I love the concept of this story - finding love on a singles cruise ship based on your astrology sign. (I personally love cruising so this was right up my alley.) Definitely a different kind of romance story. A different spin. Unique. And I was sucked in when Nora and Gage met. And the proposal! The first one. It made me smile. :)
Nora and Gage story was perfect for this story. I loved how the story was about finding love and some people believe that their signs dictate how their loves lives should be but you don't have to go by that. It was beautifully written and told perfectly. This story is the perfect example of you love can just fall into your lap when you least expect it!
Drowning in Love was cute right from the start. Gage is a guy you can imagine encountering at your typical college football game. Nora is a girl I can relate to, doesn't like all the attention on them! I got through this story fairly quickly but it was enjoyable the whole way. Made me giddy with that new love feeling!
If you love a fun, sweet romance than Drowning in Love is a perfect choice for you. Gage asks Nora to marry him at their first meeting and the rest is history with just a slight detour first. This is a quick, easy read with an enjoyable storyline and two characters that you can’t help but fall for.
What do you get when you mix one of the best meet-cutes in romance with one of the industry's top romance authors? Welcome to Drowning in Love, the latest edition to the incredibly entertaining Written in the Stars series and one the best reads of the year.
Kelsie delivers as always with a swoony worthy hero Gage, a man who doesn't believe in astrology or long term relationships. Matched with the incomparable Nora, sweetness personified. This pair meets in one of the most epic manners possible and when their paths cross once again we can't wait to watch the sparks fly.
Drowning in Love is a super fast read, hitting all the right notes, filling you to the rim while also leaving you wanting more (hint, hint, the story of Saylor is coming).
This was the perfect read for me at the right time. What a gift. What a find. Read it today.
Come on! How does she keep doing this? I loved Nora and Gage and seriously could have kept reading about them for another couple hundred pages at least! Looks like I'll be adding the rest of this series to the TBR pile...
First and foremost as a cancer I approve this story. I’m basically Nora and could totally relate, now if only I could find myself a Gage.
This was a sweet and funny story about two people who think love is not in cards for them. But when the stars align and the powers that be have other plans, things can change!
Sweet sweet Nora was an emotional mess most of the time, but she was so awesome, and caring. She was the perfect balance to Gage’s cocky, larger than life personality. And I l LOVED that he pushed her out of her comfort zone! These two were adorable and melted me into a puddle of mush and feels. Great read!
What a fun enjoyable story! I loved Gage and Nora! Their story was fun and very relatable. They had great chemistry and the storyline was very entertaining! It’s the perfect summer read! It capitulated me from the start! I couldn’t put it down! I love The Written In The Stars series! I can’t wait for Fearless In Love! I’m sure it will be great too!
