Book Review

Really really enjoyed this book! If you like fast burn TH with dragons, this is the book for you! The story is easy to get into, and the chemistry between the FOX and her dragons is blistering hot! This author certainly knows how to write an erotic story!! Such a lovely book to read! Will be reading more of this author's writing!

It was okay. Mostly steamy scenes with the bare minimum of plot. It’s a dark romance because the beginning is very dubious content. If you can get past the beginning the rest isn’t very dark. Not much darkness in the way of fighting, violence, or characters bullying each other.

The four brothers all have a little different spin on their steam. The earlier scenes are a little spicer and then they get more gentle rather than spicier. It was nice to see that they could be “gentle” with her, but some of them were presented as these pretty spicy characters like Oliver

That’s the majority of the book. We get these brief hints of world building with other shifters, a council, their thrall being newer, fated mates etc but none of it gets developed. It really just leaves you with more questions than answers.

I did like the characters. We get little bits of character development and personalities. It’s all through the chapters in their POV. The characters don’t talk to each other. There aren’t any talking about our feelings, healing from our past. Only magic sex, no therapy here (although they all need it).

I felt frustrated for Cass because she has 4 men just saying “you’re our mate” but explaining nothing. What does mate mean to them? What’s her place in their thrall? What is a thrall? What can they do as shifters? How do they expect to share her? The fact that she enters into this to protect her sister and then sees her sister briefly one time the rest of the novel is ridiculous. They needed a sister moment where they talk about their parents death. She’s so protective of Cora, but doesn’t check up on her at all. It was weird.

If you just want steamy scenes, dive on in. The water’s great. If you want a full plot with shifters, fated mates, and character development try another pool.

ADULT BOOK!! 3 STARS BOOK COULD HAVE BEEN SO MUCH MORE!!

VERY VERY SPICY. 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

Trigger warnings of:- kidnap, permission, dominance. Multiple partners. sexually descriptive. Voyeurism.

If you want a super spicy, multi partner/character, descriptive book this is it….. I wont mince words, its a porn book. And not a really bad one…

If you want a book with…. well, a normal book… its NOT for you.

It could have been longer. In regards to the actual storyline, however fluid, could have finished in a better manner than “it was meant to be”.
It doesnt explain any of the dragon politics nor why they moved suddenly or started where they are. Or why they have tributes from werewolves…. BUT ITS A SEX BOOK so hence it got a star for story..

Regarding the sex side of the book (the majority), just like in real life, it wraps up in a matter of minutes/pages. It could have had so much more to it and it would have been a fabulous adult (did i mention it was a sex book?) detailed read that had a great story and still had so much sex in it.
It could have had BDSM.. briefly mentioned but not mich. It could have had more voyeurism and pushed the multipartner experiences. So many opportunities to do this AND keep pulling you into the dragon life and the thrall experience. I could feel the story in it but it never was to become (it is a sex book i suppose). Detailed sex scenes. Mentioned feelings and thoughts, physical and mental conflict and all the verbal ques.

OVERALL… All the threads were there for a staggeringly fabulous, very physically sexual book.
I would love the author to rewrite it but first create the dragon universe, characters, personalities and all the back stories! Then rewrite with all the focus of the spice too. It had the potential to be not only a series but a spicy adult series so clearly missing at the minute.
It could have had a lot more to it but i gave two stars for the sex.

Three overall.

Bad Transitions at Climax

**Spoilers**
I was really feeling this book. I liked that each brother had their own personality and quirks. I like the small details. However, there were a couple of things that bothered me. The major thing is that I felt like the climax of the story was ruined a bit. I am referring to the cabin scene with Cass and William when he explains how he can’t take her sister away. There wasn’t a proper transition in her feelings. It seemed very artificial. She got over the situation with her sister real quick when, supposedly, she is very protective of her. She also suddenly changed her mind in that moment that she was going to forgive the kidnapping and be with the men forever. Like what? Literally a hour before she was wanting to run away with her sister. She was really conflicted throughout the story and then suddenly it’s no big deal to her. It just doesn’t really make sense. It also didn’t really make sense how she suddenly super in love with William. She knew him the least out of all of the brothers. The other thing that bothered me about this story is that it took place only over the span of only a couple of days. It just seemed really odd. They could’ve cut down on some of the scenes to make the relationships a little more authentic and progress over a bit more longer lime span. Also, super random but if I were Cass, I would be super pissed that William left the claim mark on her face. Now she has a permanent scar on her face! I know she did the same for Oliver and William in return but still; it's different for females. Overall, I think the book was pretty good. I debated giving it 3 stars because of what I stated above but I stuck to the 4 stars because the story drew me in. I binged in and finished it in a day.

I read this via Kindle Vella, which was a first for me. I was looking for a reverse harem and this came up as a popular series. I jumped on it, especially since it was completed. It was okay in the beginning and I saw great potential with the story. But it lacked just that and fell flat at the end.

Cass was not a fully realized heroine. She had these motivations to protect her sister but then she only interacted with her maybe twice after they're taken. Hell, we don't even see them after they've accepted their situation! This read like a rough draft of a story. It had no meat. The world building was an afterthought at best. Potential conflicts or background plots would be brought up and then immediately dropped and go nowhere.

The dragon brothers were the highlight of the book but even their character traits went out the window towards the climax. William, the last of the brothers to be introduced, ended up being the catalyst for Cass accepting them as her mates. This made no fucking sense. He was barely a character before Cass claimed he treated her so different than the others and she felt normal with him. HOW?!?!?! There was no wooing or any meaningful interactions with him.

I wanted to call it quits about halfway through when it was clear nothing of note would happen but I had already bought tokens to finish the story. I wish I had read something else instead.

Finding the plot is like playing Where's Waldo

First of all let me start off by saying, I love my smut as much as the next girl. However I do require a plot still. She focused on bad smut scenes more then anything and her characters had no real growth or development to be found, because you can't develop without having a plot. The editing was bad and I get dragons look like a lizard/snake hybrid, but you don't have to make them constantly lick their lips, wet their lips or dart their tongue out like a reptile.
Honestly I feel like me giving it two stars is being extremely generous, since this book is missing crucial elements to classify it as real literature for example plot, conflict and character are extremely lacking. I have read way better dragon books by other indie authors.

Okay book with little story to tell

Spice level: 🌶🌶🌶
FMC: 1.5 (of 5)
Story line: 2 (of 5)
Reread potential: 0
The story and the FMC, Cass both start off strong, but Cass soon becomes annoying. From chapter 3 on, she is filled with self-doubt and denial. Cass is constantly repeating herself in inner dialog. She only transforms into the brave woman we saw at the beginning of the book in the final few chapters. What really annoyed me was that her desire to emulate her little sister was what prompted the shift. Her need to do what Cora had done was so strong that she was only able to come to terms with everything she was feeling at that point. She spent 90% of the book not trusting herself.
The story fell a bit flat for me due to the weak storyline and the annoying FMC.

I mean…it was okay

I have no words really other than you get a bunch of half plots, a sister who you know nothing about and a story for her that doesn’t happen nor do we get any insight for.

Mainly, this book is just sex. Reverse harem, raunchy sex with a bunch of brothers. Which is fine, but if you’re looking for a strong MC that takes what she wants and fights back, don’t look here. Look far far away from here because she is submissive and fully complacent in her Stockholm syndrome escapades. And serious, she doesn’t give a fuck about her sister lol

33/50

I am in my ✨smut era✨.

I actually started reading an unfinished book by Jane Knight on her patreon and whilst I'm waiting for the rest of it to come out I thought I'd read some of her published stuff.

This was quite enjoyable. It is f i l t h y. But the plot was a bit meh. I feel like the story could have been more in-depth and more consistent. The book sets Cass up to be a fiercely protective older sister but she doesn't see and isn't with her sister pretty much AT ALL in the book and spends the entire book banging all the brothers instead 🤷.

Smut 5/5⭐ Plot 3/5⭐

Rough love

Cass and her sister needed love and family and they got it from the dragons. I loved how each of the brothers treated Cass and how the tried to comfort her when they heard her story. The guys were lost just like her and had to try to get over their own sadness about their moms not wanting them. Bash,Oliver,Lucian and William were kind caring and loving. I really loved this story.

it was okay

There was A LOT of typos which for a person whose currently failing English to notice, it was too much. Also, the chapters are misaligned? There’s a bunch of chapter that‘ll say 56, then 51 under it, but it’s a black page, then a new chapter will start? It was confusing.

I did like the story, it was mostly smut which is what I was here for today. 😂

Fantastic

I am craving more of this story. Story full of steam and twists! I love how all of Jane's stories are tied together. This author knows how to write a paranormal romance. You won't be disappointed with any of her stories.

Beautiful.

So I devoured this in one sitting. It was so very good and I love reverse harems more and more.
The only thing that threw me was the dub-con, but I was aware of that trigger going in so I was able to mitigate it for the most part.

Absolutely jaw dropping spicy book. I couldn't stop reading and finished it in one day. The dynamics and character development was great. I would love to see a second book with the other trio of characters.

If there's anything worse than a terrible storyline, it's awful grammar and countless typos. How do you spell the main character's name wrong?? The writing was all over the place, and you couldn't figure out what was going on half the time. I would not waste your time on this book.

Build up for nothing. There was a semi interesting plot line and than it was just the end. Like why. The characters were fun but pretty common and nothing special.
