What can I say? Lindsey knocked it out of the park yet again with this book. Nate and Kat are pure fire and I loved all the push and pull between these two.
I loved the forced marriage aspect of the story, the love/hate, the banter, all of it. Zoey and the girl power that was going on was a fab bonus and I’m hoping we get a story for Zoey. As always, Lindsey had me turning those pages, and when I got to that epilogue, I wanted more! I didn’t want to leave their world!

Wrecking Ball was such a beautifully done story that never got boring and kept me guessing about a mystery that surrounds the main characters Nate and Kat.
Nate is a crime lord that seems heartless and cruel to his associates but when he first lays his eyes on Kat, his world tips from its axis. Kat, on the other hand, is in no way a shrinking violet, and fights with Nate tooth and nail though his mean reputation.
They have such an exquisite relationship throughout the book in contrast to their back and forth about Kat’s foul mouth and Nate’s impossibly controlling nature. Nate’s love for her is so swoon-worthy that he calls Kat his “wrecking ball” for breaking all the walls that are surrounding him just by existing. On the other hand, Kat slowly realizes that Nate is actually breathing life right into her lungs and she truly starts living when she is with him.
The book was done beautifully with short back and forth moments between the past and present and always kept the momentum going. Wrecking Ball is definitely a one-click book for me.

Hats off to Lindsey Powell. Such a fabulous story.
This book has it all. Suspense, tragedy, and a beautiful HEA.
Nate. Crime Lord. An arrogant alpha male that gets you all hot and bothered.
Kat. Forced into marriage. She's a badass lady that isn't afraid to stand up to him.
Sparks fly and quickly ignite between them. Their love/hate relationship gives so much depth to the story.
You also get a great supporting character in Zoe. She's a firecracker. Would love to see her get her own book.
Very well written. This was the first book I read from this author and I'm looking forward to reading more.

Man alive I bloody love Lindsey’s books & Wrecking Ball did not disappoint!!
Nate saw what he wanted and decided he’d do whatever it took to get it!
I love the forced marriage aspect, and the push and pull it creates with Nate & Kat.
I laughed, raged and cried reading this book. I flew through it in a couple of hours I couldn’t put it down!
He makes it clear to Kat what he wants from the very beginning and she does her best to fight it! But how long can anyone hold out against a total alpha! Their chemistry is absolute 🔥!
This book is 10 for me! Without a shadow of a doubt! And I need more!!!!

This is the first book I've read by the author and I enjoyed it a lot. I couldn't put it down nor can I stop reading it. I finished it within hours.
Because of a betrayal, Kat was left to clean up the mess. But the only way is to accept Nate's marriage proposal. From the first time Kat went to him, Nate knew he wanted to make her his. When Kat wasn't able to pay back his money, he came up with that proposal to make it come true.
I definitely loved their storyline, I think it was interesting. I can't help but be drawn towards Nate. I didn't know why he felt like he needed to break her before making her love him. But eventually, it works out. I loved how he is with her. Definitely kept her on her toes, with how he made her feel. I cannot wait to read more books from the author.

Gosh!!! NATE is dreamy!!!! The back and forth in this book is so deliciously heart racing. When he teaches Kat to shoot, she is so BAD ARSE!! I can’t believe how much i love these two together, i love a forced marriage trope - and this is my top pick.
I love the female empowerment in this book, between Zoe and Kat- i love the fact that the women show the strength in this scene!!!
And the ending is just the perfect HEA!! LOVE LOVE the 5 year time time jump at the end to complete the story❤️

Wow , this has been one hell of a read. Upon reading the blurb I knew that I wanted to read this book and wow I’ve not been disappointed it has been pure fire.
I have enjoyed this book so much I have devoured it in one sitting. Once I started I just couldn’t put it down, it made me just want to keep turning those pages until I was completely entrilled with the story .
Nate and Kat have tons of chemistry streaming through them that neither of them want to admit to one another in the beginning. It’s a very love hate relationship at the start but then you get to see a beautiful trusting and budding romance form.
Thank you Lindsey for sending over this book I look forward to reading more of your stories .

I love Lindsey's books, and every single time she blows me away. And I mean... Every. Single. Time.
This book definitely did that. There was never any doubt in my mind. It took me on a ride of emotions through laughter, smiles, rage, tears. The lot. And I wouldn't have wanted it any other way!
The book had the power to suck me right in and I devoured the book from front to back and left me wanting more!
Nate was delicious, dark and a total alpha and I loved him and Kat together. Kat was fiesty and stood her ground and put as much fight as she could but it was inevitable. Their chemistry was fire.
If I could rate higher than a 5, I 100% would! Loved everything about it.

Wow, what can I say. I loved everything about this book! Steamy, romantic, gripping, Wrecking Ball has it all. And Nate Knowles is 100% #husbandgoals! Kat makes a great heroine, not one to walked over and a great match for Nate. If you love a fabulous romance, with hints of suspense and lots of steam then this is the book for you. So good! I really hope that Nate's sister gets her own book next, as I'd love to read more from this world ❤️

Absolutely blown away with Kat and Nate!
When i knew of the forced marriage trope i knew i was going to love it!
Kat in a sticky situation but knows ultimately she hasn't got a choice but she doesn't back down and puts on her best brave face and marrys Nate.
Nate, gah i loved him! He knew he wanted, which was Kat.. did he go the right way about it? No but still he wanted her bad enough to give her an offer she really couldn't refuse.
I hope we get to see more from this world!

I absolutely loved this story by Lindsey and in some weird way parts of it resonated with me.
Nate Knowles - Phew, he was so hot! And the chemistry between him and Kat 🔥
Kat - I loved her sassy side and how despite what Nate said she didn't allow him to force change upon her and her personality and given I'm a potty mouth it really made me laugh 😆
I cannot wait to see what's next and I know Lindsey will deliver another fantastic story.

Bu olayı sevmekle beraber birkaç sahne daha görmek isterdim açıkçası. Birbirine alışmalarını ve âşık olmalarını, birlikte yaşama süreçlerini okumak isterdim.
Nate gibi bir "hanımcı mafya" okuduğum için çok mutluyum 😍

İşte düşmanlarına işkence edip evde Kat'in peşinde dolaşması, sabahları ona kahve hazırlaması çok güzeldi 😍😂

Nate & Kat how I love to love your journey.
From the moment I started Wrecking Ball I couldn't put it down. Honestly it's probably because it had my two favorite tropes - Forced Marriage & Enemies to Lovers.
Kat owes money, you know, that she borrowed for her pathetic ex who clearly doesn't have the balls to borrow himself. RED FLAG. Now the crime lord himself, Nate, has come to collect with only two option 1) Marry him or 2) Die.
Forced hand, I love it.
"Tell me I don't give you the best F'in high of your life"
CLEARLY Nate has no intention of killing Kat, in fact he's been pinning for her since she walked through his door asking for help. MUST MAKE JANE LOVE ME - goes complete Tarzan on her, kinda
But will she bite? well duh, but the plot that gets ya there. It's a doozy.
(he get's up and pulls on grey joggers from last night. Grey joggers. Always had thing for a man in grey joggers, and I'm so fucked"

Enemies to lovers is always a trope I enjoy and this book from Ms Powell was very entertaining.
The push and pull between Kat and Nate was interesting from the very beginning…I loved getting to know these characters.
Kat is feisty and fearless as she is faced with quite the dilemma…..marry the man she hates or die….not much of a choice really!
Nate is determined to make Kat his and the only way he can see to truly possess her heart is to force her hand into marriage….
But what happens when the devil you thought you knew turns out to be the ideal disguise for the perfect man…..who could have believed that the king of crime would have such a soft heart…..but only for the females in his life!
There were moments when I really wanted Kat to be the hero of her own story….
An enjoyable romance with dark themes that has a suspense element which keeps you guessing.
Looking forward to the next characters story..

Nate is a man that always gets what he wants. He forces Kat to make a choice to either marry him or die. She chooses to marry him. She is strong heroine though she does not bow down to him even though he is feared by most. He wants to break her and their relationship is not all sunshine and rainbows. I really loved it.

I was lucky enough to get to read this amazing creation early and let me say when it has everything from a bad*** feisty mc to the dirty-mouthed alpha !! Read in one sitting, the tension was UNREAL & Nate is my personal favourite. God I wish he was real, the most caring man when it comes to Kat and doesn’t bat an eyelid when torturing people

This is such a great read! I loved it! The characters and storyline are awesome and keeps you entertained throughout the book!
I loved seeing how conflicted Kat is about falling for Nate, she really goes back and forth with herself about it! I also love the relationship dynamic and sexual tension between the two!

DNF. I wanted to love this. I really did. But it didn’t reel me in after trying for three days.

Nate is top tier book boyfriend status!!! This man's mouth is HOT!!!!!
Nate first meets Kat when she comes to him for help. When it's time for Kat to repay him, Nate gives her the options of dying or marrying him. Obviously Kat chooses to marry him, but she doesn't know his reasoning for it.
We get flashbacks of the past of what has happened between these 2, along with what is happening in the present. This helps show Nates reasons why and his real feelings.
There is scorching hot chemistry between Kat and Nate. Even when Kat pushes back and tries to act like she doesn't want Nate, and when Nate tries to fight their attraction, you can see the sparks flying. And when they finally give in, FIREWORKS!!!! Nates dirty mouth is so freaking hot!!
Once again, Lindsey has written an alphahole I can't help but love. I absolutely adored this book and I can't wait for everyone else to read it. I have loved everything I have read by Lindsey and I can't wait to add this beauty in paperback to my Lindsey Powell shelf!!!

We get flashbacks of the past of what has happened between these 2, along with what is happening in the present. This helps show Nates reasons why and his real feelings.
There is scorching hot chemistry between Kat and Nate. Even when Kat pushes back and tries to act like she doesn't want Nate, and when Nate tries to fight their attraction, you can see the sparks flying. And when they finally give in, FIREWORKS!!!! Nates dirty mouth is so freaking hot!!
Once again, Lindsey has written an alphahole I can't help but love. I absolutely adored this book and I can't wait for everyone else to read it. I have loved everything I have read by Lindsey and I can't wait to add this beauty in paperback to my Lindsey Powell shelf!!!

I loved Nate & Kat. These two are explosive from the very beginning. Kat is in no way a submissive person no her mouth is literally everything and she pops of at Nate to rile him up any chance she gets. Nate is a true possessive alpha and definitely has his work cut out with Kat and I am here for it. Nate’s was brought to his knees the moment he saw Kat now he just had to prove she belongs with him. Their journey was everything! Every interaction between these two all of their banter the back and forth and then their spicey moments *swoon* Absolutely loved this one.

ARC REVIEW. 5/5⭐️ Kat is absolutely amazing & is just so perfect for Nate it took her time to come round after many arguments inside her own head. She has the whole love hate vibe about Nate. Nate is absolute book boyfriend goals & I want him! Total ‘touch my wife & you die’ alpha. But also he is the sweetest guy to Kat behind closed doors. Lindsey writes the most amazing books!!

This is a mafia, arranged marriage trope. Told in dual perspectives.
The first half of the book was slow paced, but it really picked up in the second half.
We start at Nate and Kat’s wedding. Throughout the story we have flashbacks which tell you about the 6 months before the wedding, how they came to getting married.
I did struggle to connect to Nate, he is a crime lord, but from the get go he felt very soft, In my opinion, I would have loved to have seen the build up to him being that way. We did get to see a bit of his rough side in the flashbacks and also when he was doing his work.
Kat is a sarcastic, cheeky woman who I loved. She has the quick comebacks, and wasn’t prepared to just lie back and be told what to do.
Kat made a deal with Nate after he loaned Kat some money, unfortunately she wasn’t able to pay the money back and he said it’s either, marrying him, or death. But why does he want to marry her?
If you want to dip your toes into the Mafia/ darker world of books, I’d say this would be a great book to start with.

From the work I read so far, I immensely enjoy reading Lindsey Powell's books! But I was super excited to read her latest release "Wrecking Ball", simply because of its trope "forced marriage". And boy, oh boy! I wasn't disappointed! I mean, I was instantly hooked from the first few pages! It's a dark romance with quite a few steamy scenes. My gosh! These two! Nate and Kat sure did know how to irritate each other, it was like watching a never ending sports match. And the s*xual tension between them! They are like a fuse and dynamite waiting to ignite. It was too hot to handle! Two equally stubborn and hot-headed characters who constantly challenged each other.
Kat is an independent strong willed character and when her life choices were suddenly taken away from her, well, she started lashing out. Nate is your typical alpha male: dominating, dangerous, c*cky, protective and possessive. He's also a morally grey character, and as I turned each page I loved seeing his vulnerable, softer gentle side. He's definitely "book husband material"! Nate might be the most feared crime boss/lord but in his twisted unique way, he wants to help Kat, or more like breaking her, bending her to his will. But when his feelings for Kat started to evolve his priorities slowly changed. Despite the interesting complex situation she is in, Kat can't deny the fact that she's attracted to him. But she wouldn't easily submit to him, she stood her ground (well, she did in the beginning). Nate might love her fire and sassiness but she pushed his boundaries. Hence, Kat easily got under his skin and vice versa.
Kat is in debt, and Nate provided two less than ideal solutions. One was out of the question, so she had no choice but to pick the other option: marrying Nate. At the beginning of the book, it did jump back and forth in time, but with Lindsey's amazing writing technique it was a smooth and quick transition. I loved the flow of events as they unravelled. And the pace of the last ten chapters really picked up! Adjusting to her new lifestyle Kat shouldn't be experiencing an onslaught of emotions, namely towards her husband. Kat *should* hate her husband and the situation she is in but you know that famous phrase "there's a thin line between love and hate". And Kat's hatred for her husband slowly disappeared turning into something so much more: love. Ahh... I enjoyed seeing their relationship evolving throughout the book! And let's not forget Zoey! (She's Nate's younger sister.) One of my highlights from this book was seeing Kat and Zoey forming a sisterhood; they easily got along. I hope she will get her own book because I'm curious about her backstory.
