A devastating typhoon and a mystifying concatenation of Chinese mythological symbols plague Harry Feiffer and his crew from a run-down Hong Kong precinct station, as they pursue the murderer of six officers from a nearby precinct
William Marshall (or William Leonard Marshall) (born 1944, Australia) is an Australian author, best known for his Hong Kong-based "Yellowthread Street" mystery novels, some of which were used as the basis for a British TV series.
Found this by chance, while sorting mysteries for a book sale. This is a quirky police story set in Hong Kong (part of a series). It has an engaging plot, full of suspense and action, but what makes this an above average read is Marshall's characterization. We get to see the inner self-image of a number of characters in a fascinating portrayal. A thoroughly enjoyable read.
