Found this by chance, while sorting mysteries for a book sale. This is a quirky police story set in Hong Kong (part of a series). It has an engaging plot, full of suspense and action, but what makes this an above average read is Marshall's characterization. We get to see the inner self-image of a number of characters in a fascinating portrayal. A thoroughly enjoyable read.

This is the second Yellowthread Street mystery I have read, and I have enjoyed them both.

Set in Hong Kong with a cast of characters from different backgrounds. This mystery was fast-paced, and left me, as the reader, guessing throughout.

I would recommend this to others.
