The Different Bride by Charu Singh, a love story of Prakash & Chandrika. But this is not just another love story for me, since we don't see much of Indian authors writing their MCs with some disability & mental health issues.

We get to see each one character has Albinism whereas other has OCPD, which has been revealed at a very later stage in the book. But the way author has described the real issues & concerns faced by each in their love is something commendable.

This is a story which is a combination of feel good as well as Life lessons from both the main characters as well as the plot. The cover picture is pretty much apt for the story and I guess we all should be accepting of eachother's flaws.

The book is set in 2000s which has been set in the atmosphere very well with Prakash shown as working in a call center and Chandrika being not having a mobile phone, etc. The very best part was the fact that she has a very supportive mother-in-law.

"Sometimes people fail to understand love. They try to confine it to a narrow definition. But whatever the obstacles might be, love transcends all of them because love never fails."

The Different Bride is a love story, though distinct from what we usually witness/experience/listen to in our daily lives. I have never read any Indian romance where the protagonists (in this topic, Prakash & Chandrika) suffer from mental & bodily problems, respectively. Albinism, Obsessive-Compulsive Personality Disorder & Pregnancy are issues wrapped in this account. The writer has wonderfully incorporated these points around the pair's love tale & attempted to impart valuable learning in the process.

The Indian community, even today, is not receptive to love marriage, especially if they see that the girls are dissimilar from the standards established by them. Prakash chose to shatter this standard & let humanity understand that his bride is a regular girl. I appreciate how the author has documented both the central personalities' points of view. The vocabulary is pretty straightforward & effortless. There are a few mistakes but ignorable with the flow.

I would suggest this book to romance readers, as it'll leave you with significant values to ponder on.

After the endearing last read of mine , I was looking forward to a novel that won't demand a searing focus and I can sail through it peacefully . Usually love stories does that for me and hence I decided to pick this up.

Chandrika is just like any other girl ,cheerful and content with her life. Preparing for her B-school entrances she is burning the midnight oil to see herself succeed. On the other hand we have Prakash who is into sales and hence has to slog for hours. One accidental encounter with Chandrika over call blossoms love between the two souls. Behind the two personality are some rigid norms of their parents or their own limiting beliefs that are restricting them to come out of their cocoons.

The novel is well articulated and doesn't seem cliche . It is not the routine love story of a boy meets girl rather the characters have many different layers. The best part about the tale is its realism . Both the protagonists seems relatable at various levels and their conversational style reminisces one of their own times.

Overall a worthy read.

Charu Singh takes us to the lives of Chandrika and Prakash. Chandrika, a cheerful person, who does not carry her supposed 'flaw' as baggage instead lives an optimistic life.

On the other hand, Prakash, an ordinary sales executive who is frustrated and worried about achieving his monthly target.

Disheartened, He made the last call of the day, hoping the sales to happen, Lil did he know, he wanted that call to never end.

It's a complete filmy story full of drama and emotions. A saga of love, family and hope. With a delightful plot and a pleasant narration, we witness the shades of life in this book.

Chandrika and Prakash's love story was not going to be easy, with Prakash's conservative Indian Family. Love started binding them until work took the front seat in their lives. Struggling, juggling between work and love, Life changed once they were married.

What I loved most here is the family love and the bond they shared. How Chandrika's bhabhi supported her, Prakash's mother's side of story and a lot more. I enjoyed the later part of the story.

The writing style of the author is enchanting and to the point. It's a fast-paced story with a smooth flow of words. There's no dull moment in the book.

I liked how brilliantly the author narrated Prakash's situation, the way Chandrika handled the situation well, and the way her father supported her.

One thing that you will witness here is the way love changed them. How chandrika was more calm and present after they got married. How she worked on every lil thing to make things work. Prakash too, did his best for Chandrika.

Another thing that I loved is Chandrika's family. How they supported the couple and there was not a bit of ego and attitude in them despite knowing Prakash's family situation.

Overall, It's a light, sweet read.

The Different Bride by Charu Singh is a story of unadulterated love that transcends the barriers of norms to fulfil itself. It is a story of Chan and Prakash who come together despite differences. It would be interesting to see if their love does get its deserved happy ending.

Set in the early 2000s, The Different Bride by Charu Singh revolves around Chandrika and Prakash and their love in the times of no mobile phones! Chandrika has albinism that makes her an undesirable woman in the eyes of society. However, she is both ambitious and determined enough to not allow a setback to pull her back from moving ahead.

The story starts beautifully and goes on to include the tumultuous journey of an unusual love story. It covers finer aspects of society, family, and relationships very well. Although the storyline itself is simple and to an extent, pretty conventional in its approach, I feel the author has done a decent job at weaving the narrative. The writing is simple and breezy to read.

However, I found a few things disturbing when it comes to Chan and Prakash’s relationship. While the setting up of the plot and character sketches are good enough, there could have been some depth in the story.

In a nutshell, The Different Bride is best suited for beginners and especially those who would enjoy reading contemporary romance fiction on a lazy day.

*book review*

The main characters of this book, Prakash and Chandrika, are very complexly built characters. The story is set in the 2000s. Me being a 2000s born kid could kinda relate to some of the elements in this book - like the landline phones. And I couldn't relate to some others. But I enjoyed them all equally! The book beautifully portrayed a lot of elements including insecurities, life's challenges, nostalgia and so many more.

The author maintains a decent pace throughout the book. It was very well written in a simple and straightforward language. I did feel a few parts to be a little cheesy, but that's just me! It was a light read and I would recommend this to people who enjoy romance reads! The plot was quite good too!

Some books tell us that two characters are so in love. But this book shows us how the characters get there. They face a lot of obstacles and they handle them in their own ways.

The Different Bride' by Charu Singh
Charu Singh brings a heartwarming tale of Chandrika and Prakash with a unforgettable plot line, multi dimensional characters and beautiful language.

When Prakash gets in contact with Chandrika, a simple call turns out to be start of a friendship. I really loved Chandrika she was smart headstrong and Prakash was perfect for her. Both the characters Chandrika and Prakash have their own emotional baggage that's holding them back.It was more than just a romance, it explores complexities of marriage, family, relationships, difficulties and discriminations faced when you are born different.

All in all I was consumed by the story and had a hard time putting it down.
I felt everything along with characters, this was not your typical love story, I loved how the author developed their relationship, it felt real and relatable.
🌟🌟🌟🌟 Stars for this different love story.

"Rains have always called to me in ways I cannot explain. When the tiny drops of water fall from the grey skies, whatever be the chaos in my life, the melody of the drops always brings me serenity."

The different bride by Charu Singh is a lovely yet different love story. Chandrika and Prakash are the main characters of this book. I really loved how the author penned down Chandrika's character, she displays a confident and struggling young women. She reminds us to embrace our flaws and accept the way we are on the other hand Prakash is entirely different, their differences in personality might have attracted them. I'm not going deep into the story, the character development and the progression of the plot resonated with me.

The book is lucid and simple and can be enjoyed by a beginner. I recommend this book if you are thinking to read a different love story.

Sets in 20's, The different bride revolves around Chandrika and Prakash. It's about two people falling in love and accepting each other's flaws. The book starts with an unexpected way of starting a friendship. It focuses on realistic concepts of marriage. I wanted to see more of them falling in love, as in how they fell in love. However most part of the book focuses on the incidents after. The writing style wasn't smooth, it didn't work well for me. The language is lucid & book is slow paced. The cover is okay & the title perfectly suits the story.

✳️The Different Bride is an Indian Romance novel written by Charu singh that tells us the story of Prakash and Chandrika. Actually this title and the cover was what really intrigued me to learn more about the bride. At first, when I saw the cover, I thought that he might have married a non-Indian woman. But, it was not ! So read this book if you want to know more about what makes this bride different.✳️

🔹“𝑴𝒂’𝒂𝒎, 𝑰 𝒂𝒎 𝑷𝒓𝒂𝒌𝒂𝒔𝒉 𝒇𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝑺𝒂𝒕𝒚𝒂𝒎 𝑶𝒏𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒆. 𝑨𝒎 𝑰 𝒔𝒑𝒆𝒂𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒐 𝑴𝒔. 𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒓𝒊𝒌𝒂?”🔹

✳️Coming to the story, It all started with a phone call. Prakash was a sales executive who worked in an online business. His job was to sell internet plans within a month's target. This story occurs during the 2000s. At that time, Internet availability in India was not like as it is today. For renewing internet connection plans, Prakash makes a call to his customer and fortunately it was Chandrika who was on the other end of the telephone. It was like love at first call.✳️

🔹“𝒀𝒐𝒖 𝒅𝒐𝒏’𝒕 𝒏𝒆𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒐 𝒔𝒂𝒚 𝒔𝒐𝒓𝒓𝒚 𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒊𝒏 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒊𝒏. 𝑰 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖."🔹

✳️The plot was good. It was a typical Indian love story. But the author has done a wonderful job in showing each phase of their relationship. This was a medium paced, easy-to-read novel written in lucid language. If I was Chandrika, I would not have fallen in love with someone with just one or two phone calls. I don't trust people easily. And I didn't like how Chandrika asked him to quit the airline job. If they talked less, it wouldn't mean they'd break up. He would have been well promoted if she wasn't desperate. And Chandrika, thinking all about this, she lost her dream university. Great!!✳️

✳️The story tells us that falling in love is easy. But to keep that love going, it is what hard. Respect, love, adjustment and acceptance are some of the factors that make a marriage work. Both partners should put everything they can into their relationship. If one of them is not willing to make an effort, then their marriage may fall apart.✳️

Author: Charu Singh
Genre: Fiction, romance.
Pages: 213

About the book: Chandrika has a genetic disorder, she suffers from albinism. Whereas Prakash has a dysfunctional family, and an abusive father. Their paths cross my chance and they fall in love. Their married life poses a lot of difficulties, especially because of Prakash and his behavioral issues. This is the story of how Chandrika changes Prakash.

My views: The story is well written and it flows swiftly. The married life is portrayed nicely, as are all phases of their life. But overall I am not a fan. This is the same old story where the man is abusive because of some other abusive factor, but instead of getting help, he does not change and keeps up the cycle of abuse. But the woman (in this case his wife) suffers through it all in the name of love, does all the emotional labor for him to make him a nice whole man. I am tired of such narratives because they portray the woman's unnecessary sacrifices as love. No woman should have to go through what Prakash's mom and Chandrika had to go through, no matter how "happy" the ending is.
Not to mention how at the beginning Prakash changes Chandrika's password to her social media when she is a customer of his company to check if she is talking to someone else---- I mean dude is clearly not a good guy..! Are we not past the phase where we romanticize red flags by men?

My ratings: 3/5

Things happen the way they've to happen. And the way they happen is the best way they could have happened.

Body shaming is one of the worst things that can ever happen to anyone. I'm strictly against it, it's one of the very few things I despise the most. Being a victim of it myself, I've faced it while growing up & remained depressed about it throughout my entire life. I understand it's not an ideal way to live, a scenario to be subjected upon. The scrutiny, the tyranny, the hypocrisy coupled with stereotype that follows is totally uncalled for. I've been subjected to a lot of scrutiny & torment as long as I can remember. My suffering used to be in the form of mental anguish, depression & negativity. I used to be sad & cry all the time. It's like punishing oneself just based on others opinion of oneself. Whenever the topic was brought up pertaining to my exterior/external appearance - it used to drain all my joy & happiness; thus, pushing me onwards towards mental illness. That's the worst thing ever, to be not be able to love oneself. As we all know self-love, self-catering is essential. So instead of living & leading life according to others & surviving just to fit in with the role given/bestowed upon us by them, we must replicate self-love. Additionally, we must also stay away from toxic people - let it be our so-called friends or family.

I used to change myself for others. To fit according to their perceptions, I used to hide behind a facade - a curtain of lies just so that I can impress them. That's when I realised, I'm not here to please everyone. Ultimately, few special yet close people made me realise who I'm, my worth, my value & my importance. The definition of I'm what I'm, I'm who I'm set it - I cannot change myself for them nor am I even supposed to do so. That's what makes me unique, hitherto that's what makes every human being awesome. We're not here to impress or please everyone.

This book focuses on this aspect predominantly. Hence, it's going to be my favourite for a very long time. Writing style is balanced along with narration. It's natural accompanied by a smooth flow which gives a gentle reading experience. The first half of the book is worth reading. However, the next half gets stretchy as many cringy content is added & I didn't feel like finishing it. It gets all draggy, monotonous with more details added unnecessarily. That's what made the novel much bigger compared to the ideal desirable size. Honestly, it could've been much shorter, crisper, compact, precise & upto the point. According to me, it's a good one-time read as the idea here felt original compared to others in the same league as it focuses on the darker side of society & highlights it effectively.

QOTD- Do you believe that physical differences are bigger than human existence?

Title - The Different Bride by Charu Singh is just like its title its story is also different than usual love story. Title perfectly match with the story.

Plot- This book's story revolves around the central character Prakash and Chandrika. Prakash belongs from middle class family and Chandrika was albino and was from rich family. Both came to know each other through internet connection because Prakash was working in a internet connection provider company. Both came very close to each other. And after two years of dating they decided to marry. But circumstances were not in their favour. Chandrika's family were ready for marriage but from Prakash side, it's not so easy. But destiny had it's own planning. And finally they got succeed in marrying. To know more what happened further? What happened in their love story? What makes this story unique? Must read this book.

The Different Bride by Charu Singh is based on theme love and romance. But after reading this book I can say that Author has put her 100% effort to give the best tp the whole book. Whether it's plot, characterisation and the way of writing this book. This Book is not only a story of love and romance but it will tell you the harsh reality of our society when someone looks different from others. In our society, people assay someone not through their qualities, capabilities, kindness and nature but they assume someone only through their appearance. If you want to read something different in this winter season must grab this book right now.

❓❓𝐀𝐫𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐬 𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐧?

I am sure, marriages are definite made in heaven and God create the best match for us.
It's our journey to fight and seek for the best for ourselves.

My recent read
"The different Bride" by Charu Singh is a well drafted life journey experiencing various aspects of life.
There is always love between two people in a marriage and if not, then sooner or later gradually evolve.

🅟🅛🅞🅣
The love duo Prakash and Chandrika shares an unique love story.
Chandrika is a happy-go-lucky, girl next door, hailing from an affluent family and always ready for gaining new experiences.
On the contrary, Prakash works as a sales executive in an IT company, highly arduous and disciplined in nature and always under command of his rigid and rules loving father.

Both are two different character, never had any speculations that cupid have planned a different story for them.

The story proceeds with the involvement of more characters and addition of more sub-plots.

❓𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐤𝐚 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐤𝐚𝐬𝐡 𝐦𝐞𝐭?

❓𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐝𝐢𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐟𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐢𝐧 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞?

❓𝐃𝐢𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐠𝐞 𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐲?

❓𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐟𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐭𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫?

These are curious points which will force you to read the book of 214 pages as it kept me going.

🅻🅸🅺🅴🆂
The characters and their features are so relatable to the readers.
The progression of love story is apt and romantic.
The gradual unveiling of sub-plots keep the readers on hook.
The readers would definitely fall in love with Chandrika, bold, beautiful and confident.

I recommend this as a good read with flawless flow of emotions and relatable stances of life.

The Different Bride by Charu Singh travelled time with the ink of the writer dressed in her memoir. Dial-up landline connection, love in folded letters and simple silly rendezvous are kinda rare nowadays. She is depicting her time hitting us( old school person) hard with such wonderful nostalgia.

A little less for you! Don't worry " Yahoo Id" will be sufficient to bring back memories. Taking freshness from the letters and bouquets along with the readers we will peek at the different angles of the life of Chandrika.
She had something to say as she mentioned ----- "Will you still love me?
Even if I am not the kind you wanted to see,
I wish you'll hold my hand,
I wish you'll understand."
Why is she not the kind he wanted to see? Why is she different? Is she a different bride? What to know why? Come have a seat let's ride along with her.

The Odyssey of "over conscious Chandrika" mentioning trivial things turning into "confident Chandrika" was not a cakewalk but a part of her life curve. And thus the promise you have made at the starting of the book will take you to the happy ending with a strong and encouraging token. Quite fascinating, isn't it?
I think you should get the book and know yourself what is it with the different bride!

This story has a Strong connotation, a simple life silhouette, a colourful pathway and a joyous culmination. What else do you desire? Get your copy!

Frankly speaking, the barbie type picture on the cover and title made me pick this book up. I will briefly summarise the key features why you should pick this up. It’s the story around 2000 era. I still remember the way author mentioned dial up connection and chargeable incoming mobile calls. That was accurate description. Prakash works as the sales executive at Satyam online. He is the protagonist. Another protagonist of the story is Chandrika. One day, for the MTNL connection, he got in touch with Chandrika as customer, sales provider on call. They shared contact number. Their contact grew via messenger and started meeting at cafe. Chandrika does not carry her supposed flaw' as baggage. She instead lives a happy and cheerful life with clear and serious goals. She believes that love is not for her. Prakash has a strained relationship with his father because of his
father's rigid rules and rigorous expectations.
Read the book to know how their story proceed. I liked the story. It’s simple and beautifully written. Especially the letter of Prakash expressing his feelings was too beautiful and heart touching. I liked Chandrika’s reply too. I liked the chapter “The divine wedlock the most”. It’s written beautifully and in too realistic way that we can relate. The language of the book is lucid so that everyone can pick it up. The narration style of the author is smooth and captivating. I liked how the story proceeded. Overall good one.

The Different Bride
By Charu Singh
Book Length 260 pages
__________
The different Bride. The name already catches a readers interest. Why is this particular bride different? Only as you read the book you will know.

As I started reading this book the narrative felt engaging and definitely different from the cheesy fictions which even though the cover is so pretty in some way give away vibes of. First I too thought why the cover looks cliche when the protagonist is an Indian? Only is revealed later. I liked it's suspense carrying ability.

I am glad the author choose to not write a love story between two people with few physical and mental flaws which we don't get yet enough in indian literature.

As the chapters started to glide I got to know the girl who is just like you and me but still in her own ways owns her flaws. That's why she feels love is never for her and aims to get in Business school through MBA only.

But it's a phone away that changes two lives forever. Next we get to know about Prakash who works as a sales executive in an internet based company. Again he comes with another issue.

Life has something twists planned for them and here what they start coming in. What made this bride so unconventional and even makes the groom so different?

I liked the subtle life lessons the author included in the story. I find the narration and the plot nice and better than most debut romance writers.

Altogether a good book for young adult romance new readers.

A sales call changed two lives forever.

Prakash working as a sales executive with Satyam Online calls Chandrika, a potential customer to sell her the new internet plan (this was the early 2000s), little did he know that he would fall in love with this sweet and sensible girl.

Soon a lovely friendship blossoms between Prakash and Chandrika which transforms into love. But Chandrika is different, will Prakash be able to accept her? Will their families accept their decision to get married? Will this couple have a happy ending?

The Different Bride has as beautiful a story to tell as the beautiful cover. If you love reading sweet love stories, you will definitely love reading this one. Written in simple language, with effortlessly beautiful writing style, this lovely tale felt like a cotton candy with its sweetness melting into my mouth.

Both the main characters have their distinct personality traits, some of which are opposite of each other and as they say opposites attract! then how could they not fall in love. The book contains pov of both Prakash and Chandrika in alternating chapters which made me connect well with their characters as I could feel their emotions. This book was a lovely read for me and I would recommend it to everyone who wants to read a sweet romance novel.

The book cover and the title of the book has grabbed my attention. Both of them are interrelated the story well. This novel is about the story of emotional love, which has broken the SELF-LAVISH RESTRICTION and strongly blooms in this LOOKS-CENTRIC WORLD.

Love blossoms in between the quite informed customer CHANDRIKA and a sales executive PRAKASH. Chandrika, who is not ready to break her Self-lavish restrictions because of her ALBINISM enters into a realistic and protective love. Prakash, who is not able to break the RIGID rules of his father and his rigorous restrictions has ignored all Chandrika's imperfections and have real feelings for her in this looks-centric world. The deep emotion develops their unsaid connection into a strong relationship.

Things happen the way they have to happen in Chandrika's life. And the way they happen is the best way they could have happened? is the moving realistic story.

The way they have shared their feelings are time stamped. Because they used to confess their strong feelings through words, which convey a more profound message than the words that come out of the mouth. This approach impressed me in this novel. The epistolary touch gives more and more life to their love.

The strong and emotional character sketch gives life to the story. The plot has a rational move. Overall a breakthrough love story.

I recommend this book to all youngsters

Witness the beautiful love story of Chandrika and Prakash. They accepted their imperfections and no matter what challenges life threw at them, they were always together and overcame every difficulty.
A well-narrated story, it got cliche at some point but what I liked the most about this book was Chandrika's confidence and her "never give up" attitude. She had albinism, she grew up watching people giving her strange looks, but she not only ignored them but carried herself with such confidence that it was inspiring to read about her.
Chandrika met Prakash through a phone call and thus began their beautiful journey.
Life threw Many obstacles toward them, when the topic of their marriage came up, everyone in Prakash's family objected to it except for his brother.
Since the day they got married, Chandrika and Prakash's relationship went through many ups and downs..
What I didn't like in this book was how Prakash and Chandrika let go of their respective careers because it somehow was creating a rift between them which I found very absurd. Because I personally believe that career is very important and if you really love each other then you should support each other and work towards your respective goals.
Read the book to find out how they got married against the wishes of Prakash's family, what struggles they had to go through and how they overcame every challenge.

The Different Bride by Charu Singh is a beautiful romantic novel about Chandrika and Prakash.
This love story is quite unique and unprecedented.

The plot has been crafted in a very structured manner. The language of the book is perfect and there are absolutely no errors.
If you are looking for an enjoyable reading experience then you should definitely pick this novel.
This is not just a normal love story, Chandrika and Prakash's lives go through many ups and downs and yet they emerge victoriously.

The romantic conversations seem a bit too cheesy, and Prakash's flirting tactics are kind of cheap sometimes.

The author has undertaken a considerable effort to bring out raw emotions through their conversations and portray their characteristics well.

There is only one thing that I did not like much about this book, which is the constant mention that a married woman should be patient.
Why shouldn't a married man be patient? Is it only a woman's job to maintain peace in the house?

The novel maintains a standard pace throughout the book. The book is divided into bite-sized chapters with suitable titles, which I truly appreciate.

The Different Bride is an amazing novel. I recommend it to romance lovers. The book is a light read and can be read by readers of all age groups.

Romance is a genre that is a perennial and an all time favorite for readers from all corners of the world, no matter their age and demographics, and it is not hard to see why.

A good love story is something that has thrill, drama, inquisitiveness, comedy, angst, and, of course a little heat.

However, often it has been observed that romance novels give us an unrealistic idea of what love should be and colours the perception of its readers with unfeasible and non viable conjectures.

‘The Different Bride’ by Charu Singh proves to be an exception to these impracticable suppositions as it is a story that portrays love in the most realistic and pragmatic manner.

The journey of our two main protagonists of the book, Chandrika and Prakash is truly something unique, which we may not have read about before, yet at the same time, it shows us how these individuals deal with their circumstances and situations in a sensible and sagacious way, that is based on practical rather than theoretical considerations.

They say that if something is meant to be, then that thing is bound to happen, no matter what the impediment. That is why, even though there was no way Chandrika and Prakash would have ever met, it was their fate that brought them together and they embarked on their beautiful journey.

This is definitely one of the well written romance novels and reading it is bound to make the readers feel just like falling in love — intimate and personal, yet huge and life-changing all at once. Hence I am going to give this book FIVE DIFFERENT STARS ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The different Bride by Charu Singh is an unique love story. It is not the general cheesy love stories that is commonly seen but one with unique presentation and thought.

Chandrika an optimistic and strong girl who doesn't consider her so called physical flaw as a weakness and is resolved to obtain her goals and Prakash who has some of pessimistic approach for certain setbacks meet each other on a chance encounter and their story takes a new turn.

The author here talks about albinism, OCPD, which genuinely touched me because these issues need light. People need to understand love which is not based on looks or perfection because that does not stay. The story is fast paced amd emotional with lots to gain from.

Though I feel the writing style could be more improved as the plot is engaging so the writing style should match up to it.

It was good that I got to read a different kind of love story after a long time.

You may have read several love stories before, but I'm sure you haven't read the one like Chandrika and Prakash.

Chandrika is a happy & optimistic girl with big dreams in her eyes.

Whereas Prakash is a sales executive in an internet company, the complete opposite of Chandrika.

They don't even recognise when their seller-buyer relationship turns out into an unbreakable bond of love.

But this love is not easy they have to go through several challenges of understanding, acceptance, and heartbreak.

This story will break all of your wrong preconceptions about marriage and will let you know the true meaning of it, that love is not only about loving each other but loving ourselves first and accepting the flaws in life.

There is a wonderful story waiting for u behind this simple cover of this book, so just don't wait & grab your copies from amazon now.

A unique love story

'The greatest love stories are not those in which love is only spoken, but those in which love is acted upon.' "The different bride" by Charu Singh is a beautiful love story of Prakash and Chandrika.

Prakash was an easy going guy working as a salesmen. Where as Chandrika was a studious and confident girl. She met Prakash as a customer and both fell in love with each other. It's said that true love is not an easy going way. Many problems one have to face.

Same as, Prakash and Chandrika faced many obstacles on the way of true love. It's an unique love story and well plotted by the author. Will Chandrika be a different bride? How it will happen?
All should read this once to reveal these secrets. It's a good read.

As far as I remember its my first time reading a protagonist with albinism.
It was informative but not preachy. I liked the simple approach that author took which made the story realistic and relatable. Another thing I enjoyed is the timeline, now I understand why my parents are obsessed with time before technology took over.
To be honest, I found the pace pretty overwhelming in the beginning as it didn't give required pages for protagonists' romance to grow. Later I got used to of it, frankly it just grew on me and I liked the progression.
The world building is okayish and there wasn't much to look forward to in the story which wavered my attention a few times.
I don't dislike the book but can't see myself rereading it. Overall its Easy one time read.

" The Different Bride " is a quick read that follows Chandrika and Prakash. When I read the title of the book for the first time, I was really curious to read the story. finally, I read the book last weekend and I enjoyed this story a lot.

This book is mixed up with so many emotions And the story will take the readers through several situations and emotions of love. The characters are well developed, and detailed information is available which will make you fall in love with the book and you'll imagine yourself in the place of characters.
.
The title of the book can't be better And one more thing that I would like to appreciate is the imagination power of the author. I feel as if the movie is playing in my mind. I was able to visualize the scene while reading the book.

The book is a complete package for Bollywood movie lovers. Highly recommended to beginners and romance lovers. ❤

The book 'The Different Bride' is a romantic story written by Charu Singh.

In the story there are 14 chapters and the Protagonists are Chandrika who is hard working and wants to be MBA graduate whereas Prakash who is a salesman who is not interested in studies.

This story is all about the love story of their life. How they became true lovers from strangers. And how Chandrika was a different bride from others.

My favourite quote was -

“Mmm, I think companionship would be the first one. Then, of course, transparency, respect, and unconditional love would be the other three. As long as one doesn’t play with them, I don’t think things can go in the wrong direction. I didn’t mention money, but that too is important for a good life and a good relationship.”

The language of this book is too simple and easy to read and one can enjoy this romantic story.

I love books which have open honest interactions between the partners with mental health awareness and this book checks both theses parameters.
Chandrika has Albinism and her outlook to life along with others around her is a strong message to people all over to treat everyone equally.
Prakash suffers from OCPD, and how with awareness and his wife's help and support can lead a stress-free balanced loving life is what needs to be told...and has been written very well.
I loved the supporting characters esp Chandrika s bhabhi and dad so encouraging and supportive!

Highly recommend this book!

'The truth was the last thing he wanted to hear. Lying had become the tune of the town at home'.

This is the love story of prakash and chandrika. Prakash works in a satyam online in sales division while chandrika is a MBA student, prakash befriends her to turn her into a potential customer. Since then their frndship blooms into love. But both have their own barricades prakash has a father who's not so good or abusive while chandrika has a genetic disease albinism so she looks just like the girl in the book cover.

Will they fight for eachother? Will prakash accept her as she is?The lines in the 1st paragraph said by prakash bcz his father can't accept the truth so prakash and his brother started lying. This is not right i don't understand why some parents don't free their child why restrictions and all?

Overall the book is grt,the characters are really good and chandrika's character is a strong one. It shows some true things which we do see in some people life. The name different bride it's really good atleast now i know why she's so different thn other bride.
Will recommend it to others.
