Wonder: Advent Meditations On The Miracle Of Christmas

Rate this book
Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year. For most people, the season is a magical mixture of beauty, curiosity, mystery and history. And, we long for this. However, the wonder of Christmas isn’t twinkling lights, a winter snow, homemade desserts or a decorated tree. What makes Christmas so full of wonder is that God stepped into time and came near to us. The most wonderful time of the year celebrates the most wonderful moment in time.

Such is the goal of this little book. Wonder is a daily devotional to guide you through the Advent season. For each day in December, you will be introduced to a small piece of the Christmas story designed to cultivate a greater sense of wonder. You will explore the person of Jesus, the promise of His coming, the role of His earthy parents, people who did and didn’t celebrate His arrival, stars, angels and the gifts that He brings. With a brief selection for each day in December, Pastor David Daniels offers a mixture of devotional and doctrine--touching the heart and challenging the mind to consider biblical truth.

DAVID DANIELS is Lead Pastor of Central Bible Church in Fort Worth, Texas.
