Janet grew up in Scotland but now lives in New Zealand. Among other things, she’s been an artist, a teacher, a security guard at a castle, a magazine editor, and a cleaner in a drop in center for drug addicts (NOT the best job!). 5 things you didn't know about Reset, Benson Security 7:

1. I had to confront two of my biggest fears to write a couple of scenes in this story. One scene left me so freaked out that I ended up breathing into a paper bag when I was done! Really hoping my own panic comes across in the writing - because, author!

2. Those of you who've read all of my Invertary and Benson Security books will spot some Easter Eggs in Reset. No hints. You'll know them when you see them. And please, message me when you find them. I'd love to hear from you.

3. I did an awful lot of research on abandoned mines, trapped miners, cavers, rescues and subterranean networks for this story. Which reminds me, if you haven't watched The Rescue which is about saving the boys lost in the Thai cave, you really have to. It's amazing. Anyway, despite my research, the main inspiration for the setting in Reset was a visit I made, over twenty years ago, to the San Francisco catacombs in Lima, Peru. In fact, I almost based this book in Lima, but seeing as we already visited there in Relentless and Ransom, I thought we needed a change of venue.

4. They always say you should make sure your characters confront their greatest fears in your story. For Sarah that meant being abandoned and helpless in the dark. For Ryan is meant going days without snacking every couple of hours.

5. When you're writing romantic suspense, you have to figure out where you can realistically put the sex scenes. I mean, you don't want your hero and heroine to stop mid-run for their lives to get it on while bullets fly around them, do you? Mmm, maybe you do. ;) Seeing as Ryan and Sarah are stuck underground, finding ways they could be intimate was a challenge. I became obsessed with it. To the point where I woke my husband in the middle of the night to ask if an idea I had would come across as sexy or weird. Yeah, that went well...

I hope you enjoy reading Reset!

Not sure I can put into words how awesome this book is but I will try. From beginning to end this book kept you interested and it was definitely a page turner. This was a one night read and I made the mistake of reading it in the dark. Needless to say, I had to turn the light on in the middle of it. The author kept you captivated with her words of explanation to detail. She brought you in each scene as if you were experiencing it yourself. I was sitting on the edge of my seat, biting my nails with each page wondering what was coming next. The torture of not knowing makes you want to keep reading page after page after page. This is crazy good. So many emotions in one book: happy, sad, fear, shocked, anxiety, excitement, amusement, empathy, sexy, love and so much more. Ryan and Sarah had so much chemistry and were perfect for each other. They had to overcome their fears and learn to lean on each other and be vulnerable. Their relationship grew as they helped each other during their difficult journey. Even though some characters were in different places trying to find them the author did an amazing job bringing everyone together. The flow and pace of the book was superb. This is the last book in the Benson series but can be read as a standalone. I would recommend reading all of them for the best result of the perfect ending to this great series. An exciting and thrilling ride that I didn’t want to end!!

Janet’s done it again and, as always, not at all in the way I expected. I’m not sure what I expected from Reset, but it was probably closer to the traumatic thriller that was Run than this equally beautiful but totally different masterpiece. It was so lovely to hear from secondary characters who are already living theirs HEAs, and also to meet Ryan after his head trauma. I think one of Janet’s best gifts in writing is developing a character while also keeping them the same person. It’s a very rare gift among writers and several far more well known authors than Janet really can’t do it.
Ryan has genuinely grown up in Reset, he’s mature, he’s logical, he’s making good relationship decisions… but at the same time, he’s still RYAN. He’s still the sweet, sensitive guy who will goof around when people need to smile and hug them when they need to cry. I just love him.
Sarah is brand new, and it took me maybe 3 pages to take to her, and decide that yes, she is totally perfect for Ryan. She reminded me a little of Julia, a little of Isobel, a little of myself (we have the same fears!) but mostly of the exact person Ryan has needed since we met him. She was brave, smart, resourceful, sensible, but also wonderfully human and real and just perfect. She was also quite lucky, Janet had clearly restrained herself. I’m pretty sure I only shouted “Janet, stop hurting them!” at the book once, which is probably a Bensons Security record.
Instead of traumatising her readers the way she did in Run, Reset was all about the feels, the adventure, the suspense, the family. I am so going to miss this series and these amazing characters, but have to admit it was a beautiful way to end it. A perfect finale saying goodbye to the Benson Security family - the same crazy misfit bunch of people who were first lumped together at the end of Here Comes the Rainne Again. The team Callum was so unimpressed with, now his chosen family. A family made up of a surly Scot, a crazy positive blue-haired tech, a vicious tongued ice queen, an office manager who hides behind plants, a trigger happy ex-hairdresser with no fear, and a human eating machine - plus the perfect significant others Janet has paired them with in the last 7 books. I just love them and if Janet changes her mind and decides to continue the series, there will be no one more excited than me. I’d also love to hear more about Ryan’s sister, would love to know where Janet could go with her.
I was once again honoured to receive an ARC of Janet’s new book, and I could not have loved it more. I would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys romance, suspense, comedy, or themes of chosen family.

The final chapter in the Benson Security novels is also a fabulous stand-alone book. It is such a page turner that I couldn’t put it down. You will be right on the edge of your seat, if not hiding under the covers. Ryan and Sarah are trapped underground and have to deal with some terrible things but with ex-soldier Ryan’s strong and humorous support and Sarah’s unending optimism, they are a wonderful pair. A 10 out of 5 stars must read. Congratulations Janet.

"Reset" is the final book in Benson Security. While reading the others is not necessary it helps the reader develop a greater understanding of this story. I've loved Ryan since he first shows up in Invertary toward the end of another great series where he's protecting the women. We see how much he likes women& food. Janet Elizabeth Henderson is such a gifted author with her abilities to take words and paint amazing characters.
The end of "Run" put all Ryan fans on the edge of our seats. Thankfully for epilogue 2 we get "Reset"!
We find Ryan & Sarah in a dark scary underground prison. As they work their way out we discover how much more there is to Ryan & why Lake Benson saw his value as a soldier. Why Callum McKay thinks of him like a son.
Ryan has always downplayed his skills but his abilities come in very handy in his protection of Sarah& their escape. Janet's descriptions of the underground, rats, bodies gave me little shudder.
Sarah is the perfect "girl" for Ryan. She's brave, kind, forgiving& strong enough to love Ryan.
This is a great story even with it being the end. But with Janet Elizabeth Henderson's gift of writing we just have to wait til our next adventure!

Janet Elizabeth Henderson, you've done it again.

I am yet to read one of your books and not laugh out loud or fall in love with your characters. Reset was a wonderful conclusion to the Benson Security series. As always you give us insight into what the whole gang are up to while focusing on a particular couple—Ryan and Sarah.

What a great couple they were. I loved the way they brought the best out in each other during a situation that was designed to tear them apart.

Thank you for your stories which always brighten my days.

Wow!! I don't even know where to begin. What can I say that will adequately describe just how awesome this book is. I have read and loved all the Benson Security books but Ryan's story was perfection in every way. From the very beginning I was hooked and felt every conceivable emotion. Laughter, tears, suspense, anger, aahs, and "what?! I did not see that coming". While I will miss the Benson crew I know we will get updates on them (please Janet!). I appreciate the opportunity to go on this incredible ride. While I am sad it ended I loved the way it did!! Janet has an incredible talent and her readers are very lucky she shares it with us, I know this one is! As a huge Ryan fan I waited for his story and it definitely did not disappoint. Absolute perfection!! No spoiler but I am still chuckling over the piranha! Thank you Janet!!

What a way to end a series! We see the man-child as just a man with wants, needs and depths just hinted at previously.

Ryan and Sarah find themselves trapped below ground by an unknown foe. They must work together to attempt an escape.

I loved the mix of flirty romance and suspense between the characters. The switching between the main two characters and those looking for them also helped the plot advance.

This was a great book even if you haven’t read the others. I always think the next book can’t be as good as the others and JEH comes through every time. Every book is solid and my favorite!

Whenever asked who my favorite author is or what my favorite book is the answer will always and forever be, any book by Janet Elizabeth Henderson and there is a reason for that, every book she writes is beyond amazing! I'm not even into Romantic Suspense that much but if Janet wrote it, you know it goes beyond that; her books are hilarious, the stories are so engrossing, there hasn't been a book that I started of hers and didn't finish that same day (usually within hours of starting), and there hasn't been a single book of hers (and I have read them all, multiple times) that I didn't love. All her characters become like family, you want nothing but happiness and love for them and you really want to hurt anyone that hurts them.

Now that I have covered my love for Janet and her books let me tell you about my love of the Benson Security team, especially Ryan, the fun loving playboy that has a bottomless stomach and in which Reset is about. The Benson Security team has been to hell and back but each time one of them comes out with a new love and the team grows closer, some of them will act as if they can't stand being around their co-workers, but if you mess with one of them you mess with all of them. When it comes to Ryan, one of the youngest on the team of security specialists this team has not only grown close to him but his family as well. Ryan has this easy go attitude, can literally eat non-stop and still be hungry, has the worst luck when it comes to women (seriously it's crazy), is adorably funny and sweet and he is the character that you just can't wait to hear their story. Since this is the last book for the Benson Security team of course Ms. Henderson saved the best for last and she did not disappoint!

I'm not going to give away any details of Ryan's story because I want everyone to read this book, it's fantastic, has so much excitement, sweetness, drama, suspense (you definitely won't see what's coming next), a little sexiness, humor and of course the wonderful team of Benson Security. Ryan and Sarah (the woman who will bring Ryan to his knees) have quite the ordeal in order to get to their HEA but they do get it in the end. If you haven't read this series yet, I hope I have convinced you to because it is a series that I have and will continue to read multiple times and if you have already read them all then you already know how wonderful these books are, but if you are debating whether to read Ryan's story, I promise you it is truly worth the read. As hard as it is to say good-bye to this series, I'm so glad Janet saved the best for last and did such a wonderful job of it. Happy Reading!!!

I didn’t want to start this book because I didn’t want to say goodbye to Benson Security. At the same time I couldn’t wait to read Ryan’s story and it did not disappoint. Ryan has always been the heart of the team with the comic relief, horrible luck in dating (although much was self inflicted) and the never satiated hunger. I almost had a stroke when he got hurt in the last book but i’m so happy with the way his story went. So happy with Sarah and their journey together. I fell in love with her empathy and love for Ryan even under the worst of circumstances. Janet Elizabeth Henderson is amazing at writing romantic thrillers/comedies and including all the easter eggs from previous books in the series in such an organic way that you are completely immersed in the story and the outcome. I held my breath, laughed and panicked with the characters, it’s such great writing. I hope to hear more from Benson Security in the future. These characters feel real to me and I already miss them. Don’t miss out and read all the books in the series!

Reset was everything I expected and so much more from a Benson Security book. Ryan is a character that I have loved from the very beginning and his story was perfect for the final book in this series. He has always been the funny, boyish character in the other books, and in this story, we get to see another side of him. His character is the perfect combination of playful, sexy, caring, smart, and loyal. I thought the back story of how Ryan and Sara knew each other was sweet and JEH did a fantastic job of intertwining their past relationship into the present story. I love that each book, while focused on one couple, still has all the characters from the other Benson Security books as well. I'm so sad that this is the last one, but I'm looking forward to seeing what JEH has planned next.

What a mix of emotions as I finish this final book of the Benson Security series! Not only did Ryan and Sarah experience the full range, I did too. Ryan and Sarah are perfect together, although it took all of the time Ryan was in his coma and recovering for them to realize it. I’m not sure what I would have done if I were in their shoes, but Janet did an awesome job of setting up a crazy scenario and bringing everyone from the Benson Security Team together to work on the problem.

I feel so amazed to have been chosen to read an ARC of this book and leave my review! It was the perfect ending and I couldn’t put it down, yet I’m sad that it’s over.

Stories like this are made possible by incredible authors who put their heart and souls in each book. Janet did just that once again, with the final in her Benson Security series, Reset. This epic page turner has it all. You will be confused, you will laugh, it will make your skin crawl and you will literally hold your breath as we follow the amazing story of Ryan and Sarah. We get to see the whole team do what they do best for one of their family members and I loved seeing them all in action.

Amazing book! Shows Ryan in a new light and I wished I could read slower so I could savour it but it's too good! The team all together makes you want to cry a little because they are the family you would want when your in trouble, never stopping until your ok. I'm not crying at all! Loved it

This is the last of the Benson security books. We finally get Ryan’s story which is highly anticipated by me being that he always was a fun character in everyone else’s book. If you haven’t read the previous books this book will make you want to binge them while if you have read them you will be highly satisfied with Reset.

We start out the book with Ryan who is now recovered from his coma waking up somewhere and he doesn’t know where he is. He then find Sara who is manacle to a wall in what seems like a cave and he doesn’t know who she is. Unbeknownst to him Sara had a date with him right before he was shot and went into a coma. They really hit it off and she’s angry when she sees him because she thinks he has ghosted her. So the premise from the beginning is very interesting and different in that they need to rely on one another and for Orion we get to know who Sarah is.

On the other hand everyone else and then some security is very frazzled when they find out Ryan is missing again. It’s really fun to see the whole gang back together and working together in order to find someone who is such a major part of their family .

The book has these two concurrent storylines that are going on at the same time and you keep waiting for Benson security to meet up with Ryan and Sara. Ryan and Sarah‘s relationship progresses quickly but it just seems like they are meant for one another. All in all this is such an entertaining book and brings back all the wonderful feelings of all the characters that you have loved in previous books and wraps up Ryan story in such a heartwarming way

This book was so good! If you’ve read the other Benson Security books (not necessary ftr), you have known Ryan for years now. He is like a kid brother who has the body of a Greek god, and eats all the time. This book did a great job of mixing the youthful side of Ryan with the man he actually is, and letting us in on more of his behind-the-scenes thoughts and feelings. He is funny, but man is he sexy too.

I also particularly liked the setting of this book- it played a lot with space constraints and I thought it was really well done- it added to the thriller feeling. However- the change between two sets of characters gave some relief from the nail biting portions and brought in more of the comedy content that Janet is so well known for.

I loved the villain concept for this book, and wish it would have been explored a little more, but understand that it wasn’t the focal point of the story - just a sideline. Suffice to say though- it’s a good villain.

If you’ve read the other Benson Security books, you get to see a lot of our other friends, and some from Invertary too.

This was a perfect ending to the series. I hope we get to see all of the characters again someday, but if we don’t, I am comfortable and happy with the ending and epilogues Janet gave us.

Go read this book! It’s a good one!

**contains some possible spoilers**

Out of all of the Benson Security staff Ryan is my favourite character and I may have complained a time or two about Janet's treatment of him (which I'm sure she knows).

Ryan is recovering from a traumatic brain injury after being shot in the head that resulted in a coma, but finds him self kidnapped along side a woman who knows him but he doesn't know her. Post head trauma amnesia has a lot to answer for.

I stayed up until 2.30am reading this book. I was hooked. Ryan is known as the joker but this book explores his personality in more depth and proves that the man is a survivor and a protector.

If you weren't afraid of the dark and enclosed spaces before this book you may be afterwards. ** Warning- Do not hold your breath when reading**. I loved the serious thriller like quality to the book and also the comedy light heartedness that stopped the book from becoming too dark. **insert flying drop kicked rat here**

I'm sad to see this as the last book to the series, but it was great for all the characters to come together and have their HEAs. Also the ending to this book was perfect, no drama, no ultimatums just going with the flow and taking chances.

Congratulations Janet I loved Ryan's book and you kept him being hit in the head to a minimum, you did my favourite character justice.

I received an ARC from the author, all my views are my own.

Happysad! So thrilled that Reset, Ryan's book, is here! as expected, we always expect the food references when it comes to Ryan. But we also got references to other things! thanks for tossing in Indy, gotta love that. The book is funny, touching, creepy, heroic and romantic. JEH can do anything, clearly. While we have to say goodbye to Benson Security, the characters we've met and loved keep making their appearances and reminding us how much we've loved them all. We see how everyone's diverse talents and strengths come together to piece a puzzle together and make the story whole. Thanks JEH for an amazing set of Benson Security books! Can't wait to see what you conjure up next.

Reset is an excellent end to the Benson Security series by Janet Elizabeth Henderson. Ryan is goofy and lovable, but also an extremely important part of the team. He always comes through for his teammates even though he loves to irritate each of them. He is insatiable when it comes to food in an oh so hilarious way, which makes this book so unusual since he has no access to his usual supply of donuts, etc. He is trapped in a cave with the love of his life that he doesn’t recognize due to a previous head injury, which makes this book even more funny and entertaining. Janet’s ability to draw you into a book and make you feel like you’re right there is amazing and such a great talent. This book has it all. It’s a thriller that keeps you engaged, romance/sexy feels, teammates we all love, and an HEA. I was happy to stay up all night reading it!

I was so excited for Ryan’s story Reset to come out, but also conflicted because I didn’t want the series to end. I also made the mistake of starting the book at night, which meant sleeping wasn’t even a possibility! Ryan & Sarah’s story was at turns harrowing, loving, nerve wracking, claustrophobic & funny. It was wonderful to see the Benson team at work once again as they struggled to find Ryan & Sarah. Though I’m sad to see it end this is a book series I will read again & again. The relationships between these characters is unique and just isn’t something you find often in series.

Ryan is in trouble and he’s trapped with a beautiful women from his past he can’t remember. Sarah remembers Ryan, but was hurt by circumstances out of either of their control. Now they need to trust each other to escape, there are near death experiences, dead bodies, foreign criminals, someone wants them dead and rats! As Ryan’s team races to find them, they race to escape. Ryan proves to be more than an immature eating machine and Sarah proves to have more depth than a numbers/statistics expert. What a fun story to end this series, but I am excited to see one of my favorite characters meet his match.

This whole series is fantastic, and I have been very excited to see how it would end. Ryan has been such a terrific character, and he definitely needed an HEA. He was on his way to finding love, but he got shot in the line of duty and spent months in a coma. He has spent more months recovering and is anxious to get back to work. But then he wakes up in a cave with a woman who obviously knows him but he doesn't remember.
This book delivers everything that I hoped it would. There is plenty of excitement as Ryan and Sarah try to find their way out of the cave. They also have lots of great conversations and tender moments while they cope with each challenge thrown at them. Of course, Ryan tosses in lots of humor, but Sarah is also very funny in her own way. There are also lots of appearances by the other characters in the series as the rest of the team tries to find Ryan. It is a great way to end such an outstanding series.

You don’t have to have read the previous Benson Security books to enjoy RESET but I strongly recommend you do as they are all very good.
If you like well drawn characters, that make you feel every emotion they are going through, this book is for you.
The first sentence pulls you immediately into the plot. You want to know what happens next. I don’t want to give any plot spoilers but parts will make you smile, parts will be painful and I fully expect you will literally hold your breath at one point and time it 😉
Another great book from JEH … now I wait impatiently for the next!

Ryan was my favourite character in this series. I wasn't sure whether I would like his "love story". For some reason, I had doubts, although, after Relentless I also have hopes too. Yet, Mrs Henderson decided to give him a different second half than I thought after "Relentless". I see almost all readers were happy with the heroine for Ryan. But not I. Yes, Sarah was thought-through, but I didn't feel the chemistry, etc.

The action was nice. Although, to my taste, it was too long. And the mystery (who did it) was simply absurd. Interesting, but too much out of the blue.

In other words, most parts of the story were promising. I could have had more fun with the book. But the way the author choose to create the novel wasn't as I could hope.

The friends from previous parts of the series, their wit gave me a bit more joy from reading.

I mean...it sucks that Ryan and Sarah were kidnapped but they might have never gotten their HEA if they hadn't been...I'm just saying!

"It wasn’t you who changed my direction in life, it was a bullet to the head. All you did was give me a choice for the future that’s way better than anything I could have come up with on my own."

Nice way to end the series. 4 stars
