UGGHH I am so conflicted with rating this book (3.5). I liked it but I wanted more, and I think I expected more because of who the author is, she has always given me what I needed in a book but this one I felt was more focused on the sex scenes then on the actual suspense part of the book, heck it was even more than Luke and Ana working their way back to getting together again. Yes that does happen but it's like they use sex as a way of communicating instead of actually communicating...does that make sense? I know I am in the minority with this view and that is okay because like I said I love this author's books I just wanted more, and a LOT of people were happy with what they got and I'm fine with my confliction because I know I will get what I want in the next book...answers to sooo many questions.

Awesome second volume with high-adrenaline suspense and a healthy dose of smokin' hot steamy scenes between Luke (aka Lucifer) and Ana. Can't wait for the conclusion! ❣️

The Walker gang back in action again! Luke and Ana are starting where they left off in book one, trying to find answers with very little to go on, as well as, trying to repair the damage to their relationship. We got movement on both, but there is still some answers we need. I think it's safe to say Luke and Ana will be fine when all this is said and done, but I sure will enjoy the ride to get there. I'm enjoying the mystery behind all this as well. I don't even know what they are dealing with yet, but it's fun trying to figure it out.

the action never stops...
the rekindled relationship between Ana and Luke gets tested on every turn...as they try to maneuver the danger, the passion, the secrets, the guilt and the anger...unresolved issues will always linger in the air between these two, BUT they will and are willing to learn how to live with those issues or get passed them somehow....

BUT to do that, they have to uncover the biggest lie and ploy of all...

Luke's Touch is book 2 in the Walker Security: Lucifer's Trilogy by Lisa Renee Jones. This is a continuation of Luke aka ‘Lucifer’ Remington and Ana Banks' story.
Book 2 picks up where book 1 left off where Luke and Ana are on the run. Great mystery that's ongoing that pertains to Ana's brother which somehow ends up getting back to Ana and Luke. Add in the betrayal, secrets, twists, chemistry , romance and cliffhanger ending.

My Rating: 4.5 stars *******

Right, book 2…..what do i feel about what happened there?
On the one hand,i’m glad Lucifer and Ana FINALLY talked things out,and are back where they should be,which is engaged.
It took them long enough, but to be honest, they were interrupted a LOT!
In the meantime, the plot thickens, and people that seemed friendly are not.
Also, people don’t seem to be as dead as they were…..
It’s a good thing Lucifer has Walker Security behind him, because they REALLY need them.
On to book 3…..

Amazon / Apple / Nook / Kobo / Google / Print

Luke and Ana are back, continuing where Lucifer's Sin left off. The mystery of what's happening now, what happened back then when they (everything) fell apart, is the main component driving them forward, but what of their feelings? Neither ever got over the other, but there's the matter of trust. Can Luke trust Ana? Can Ana trust Luke? Is a second chance for this duo ever going to happen? And more immediately important, who can each trust, not just each other, but the people surrounding them who supposedly care about them?

This second installment of Luke and Ana's story is really going there with the mystery and the suspense. I really want to know exactly what's happening, who the real villain is, and all the details of who's after Luke and Ana. And of course the relationship - it's finally gathering steam (in every sense of the word), and they're starting to get back on track again. Of course they will have to make it out intact before they can even think of a happy ever after, and now I'm anxiously, impatiently awaiting all the answers and to see if they find the happiness they deserve, when Luke's Revenge finally lands on my Kindle.

Luke's Touch is the second book in Lucifer's Trilogy so YOU MUST START out with Luke’s Sin (Book 1), and if you don't, then you will miss things that don't need to be missed, plus it's the brilliant Lisa Renee Jones, so why the hell would you want to skip books?! You know, there are authors whose middle books can slow the pace down, but that's not happening here or any that this author writes to be honest, so the pace was even quicker & more intense. Luke & Ana are fighting for their lives as they try to figure out who & why of it all before it's too late, but to make it a bit more complicated is their past. They can't stay away from sexy times while in close proximity (and it's totally understandable with their heat) but there's a lot to unpack since their past has a serious traumatic event that needs to be faced together but will they get past it is the question. Of course it's hard to actually face the past when murdery danger dogs your every step so the twists were coming in hot & the f-bombs were dropping loudly. I know this author & her super brutal cliffhanger endings, and yet, I still get upset when she kicks me off the side of her big cliff & this one was definitely mean so my impatience has already taken over me despite the fact that the book isn't out until tomorrow as I NEED THE CONCLUSION NOW LOL! So yeah, don't miss out on Lucifer's journey as I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I'm going to start out with I need the final book in this trilogy like right now! LOL I do love how Lisa starts the book reminding me what happened in the previous book. I do read my review of the previous book but she has a better way with words.

Luke and Anna are still trying to navigate of what the "package" is, trying to stay alive and they have to try to deal with the emotions that they still have for each other. Yes, they lust for each other, their chemistry is off the charts that's never been the problem for them. Two of their biggest problems are feelings of guilt and abandonment.

While trying to figure out the mystery of everything while trying to stay steps in front of who is after them had me reading faster and faster! I couldn't put it down and then when I got towards the last few chapters I was ready to spit because I KNEW I was going to have to wait for the next book!!! Can't wait for it!!!!

Luke and Ana are on the run, try to find out who is after them and what they want. In the meantime they are also reconciling their feelings for each other. This is the second book of this trilogy and picks up immediately where the first book ends. Thank you to the author for the spectacular summary at the beginning to bring us up to date! Lives are at stake and so many questions to be answered. Who can they trust besides each other and Walker Security? Not everything is as it seems and, of course, this one leaves us with quite the cliffhanger! At least the third book is right around the corner!!!!

WOW....I was not expecting that nice little ending there and now I am stuck waiting for the final audiobook since I cannot squeeze in actually reading the last book.

I have enjoyed this trilogy just as much as Savage's. Lisa Renee Jones does a great job of getting the reader/listener so invested in the story. I cannot wait for the final audio in this series.

It was nearly 40 chapters of i love you, ok but you killed my brother, i love too though, no i killed your brother and you think I'm a monster, but I was just hurt you left, no you can't forgive me, I can, I don't think you can but I love you, you wouldn't have left if you loved me.

And they had sex after every argument. Just to sum it up.

It still wasn't a bad read and now I'm invested. I just hope their will be more to the story in the final book.

A good solid story, lots of shenanigans afoot to keep you on your reading toes along with lots of spice. Not really a trilogy as far as I understand a trilogy is -- this is one story broken into 3 segments... and segment 1 and 2 ending on a cliffhanger -- the story picks up without missing a beat. So you have to read them in order. Because if you’re like me and you get hooked on this story, you’re going to want to find out what happens at the end. This review is about all 3 segments...

Lisa Renee Jones does a good job with chemistry and pacing and spooling out plot to keep things moving forward. She knows how to hook you and keep you wanting more.

Things I love about this story - impossible love, good characters - both the mains and the supporting - complex plot stuff to keep things interesting and moving, good pace related to those plot things and the spice level. Things I wish for - less time spent in the push/pull (they want to be together, but they can’t, but they can, but they can’t — if this had been one novel instead of one story broken into 3 parts, I think there would be less reason to linger in that zone because it got a bit tedious, and skim-worthy, in book 2 for sure)… also wish there had been a more climatic climax and that the whole long set up didn’t feel short changed by what came across like a rushed (and kind of easy) wrap up ending. There were thousands of words dedicated to who done it, and what they were looking for and then it all very quickly resolved in book 3.

Segment 1 — Lucifer’s Sin - Their love is impossible. The past is something that neither will be able to reconcile... or will they? Super hottie FMC is an FBI agent in danger and MMC, Luke aka Lucifer, must save her despite their history -- he killed her brother on a job (had had to) and she was upset and shot him... so ya know... it's complicated.

Segment 2 — Luke's Touch - The middle bit, more plot, more desire, more pushing and pulling... and pushing and pulling... etc.

Segment 3 -- Luke's Revenge - And we finally get to more plot and then a rush to the end. Wanted more, a bigger bang for my reading buck.

This rating of 4 stars is for the story as a whole, which I liked a lot - despite my peeves! And despite wanting a bit more of a bigger and more rich ending.

This picks up where the first book ends and things are on a wild ride from that moment onwards. Luke and Ana are racing to find answers to questions that happened years ago. Each step along the way results in the loss of life of one of the friends/co-workers and the mystery surrounding them deepens.

I loved both Luke and Ana as their struggle to find a solid place in their relationship is just as tumultuous as the case they’re trying to solve. However, the further in they go, the more they begin to trust each other again. Truth has a way of easing their journey and I loved that they were capable of releasing past misunderstandings and moving forward.

This is filled with lots of steamy moments between Luke and Ana as well as danger at every turn. But when the last few pages revealed a shocking surprise, I had to pick my jaw up off the ground. And then of course, that was the magic cliffhanger this author is so good at tormenting me with. I can’t wait for the final book in this trilogy!

❤~🌟~❤ 5 HIGH OCTANE STARS! ❤~🌟~❤

Lisa Renee Jones set my pulse racing in LUKE’S TOUCH, the second tantalizingly twisty installment in in Lucifer’s Trilogy. So, you better hang on because once again she’s got some more aces up her sleeve that are going to keep you riveted!

PREMISE:
Picking right up where book one took off, ex-gun for hire-turned-Walker Security operative Luke Remington and FBI agent Ana Banks are on the run, with their lives in even graver peril than before. They are in a desperate race against time as they frantically search for answers as to why the two of them, along with several other operatives, are on a vicious killer’s hit list. All they know for sure is that it’s all tied to a mysterious package that went missing during a covert mission Luke was embroiled in that went gone horribly, TRAGICALLY awry two years ago. And now that another member of their team is MIA and presumed dead the clock is ticking for them to close in on the killer before the body count rises. All the while they have a mammoth amount of emotional baggage to sort through as their passion blazes to a fiery inferno. But can the love that still burns in their hearts be enough to breach the seemingly impenetrable wall of hurt, mistrust, pain and betrayal that still stands between them? Only time will tell, but in the meantime, danger and treachery, suspense and subterfuge dog them at every turn as they must figure out not only who they can trust but whether their love will prove to be their sweetest salvation…or lead to their ultimate demise!

MY MUSINGS:
Set once again in the Walker world, LUKE’S TOUCH is a fast-paced romantic suspense thriller about love lost and found again amid a treacherous terrain of backstabbing and betrayal!

“The past rages between us as a part of the present, a mix of love, hate, and confusion that is stirred with a shot of blood and death.”

Once again Ana and Luke’s tumultuous enemies to lovers tale is chock full of bristling discord, fiery heat, edge of your seat intrigue and all-consuming passion but the stakes are higher than ever as they set out on a clandestine, cross-country trek in search of answers.

I was totally swept up in every adrenaline pumping, passion-fueled, death-defying moment of this book as Luke and Ana walked a perilous tightrope between love and hate, danger and desire as they embarked on an impassioned quest for vindication, forgiveness and justice! However, mending their broken hearts—and fractured trust—is far from easy as the devastating chain of events that tore these stormy lovers asunder two years ago still haunts them to this day. There is so much guilt and recrimination, pain and anger and loss, flaring between them and the turmoil they feel at times brings out the worst in one another! But as much as this headstrong duo can’t help but go at each other’s throats, they also relish tearing each other’s clothes off and there was never a doubt in my mind that they would fight tooth and nail to reclaim their love and keep one another out of their enemy’s crosshairs! And in my heart of hearts, I truly believed they were “better together, and as long as they remained a united front, somehow, some way they would survive whatever craziness the universe hurled at them!

Gah…LRJ always pens the most deliciously dominant alpha males and Luke Walker in all his broody, tortured, sinfully sexy glory had it going on! There is just something about this big, commanding, rough around the edges Walker agent with the gruffly tender, wildly possessive touch that revved my engine and made me swoon like a schoolgirl . And he might have a tainted past but Lucifer is honest and honorable to the core, and I love how UNCONDITIONALLY he loves Ana, and unwaveringly vows protect her at all costs, even when they are entangled in a heated argument!

“No one will ever hurt her again. Not with me in the picture. I will kill for her. I will cause pain for her. And I will tell the world, and even the devil himself, to back the f*ck off.”

And I loved how Ana’s love for him never faltered either, even when she felt he’d betrayed her in the worst possible way, and then abandoned her in her darkest hour. Ana is truly a kickass heroine that checks off all my boxes! She’s tough and tenacious, and smart as a whip, but this fiercely independent field agent is also soft-hearted and achingly vulnerable and incredibly loyal …the perfect woman for our blue-eyed man of steel! As for the love scenes? YOWZA! The erotic encounters are flaming hot, explosively emotional, raw and intimate and they most definitely set my undies on fire! But smoldering sexcapades aside, it was the all-consuming love that tethered them together that truly electrified my heart!

As always, key members of the Walker Security Team proved instrumental in helping our powerhouse duo stay one step ahead of the danger and provide the intel to unravel the clues that could unearth their killer. But as they continue to piece together the evidence, Luke and Ana discover that some of their closest allies may be their very worst enemies. And NOTHING is as it seems. And they begin to close in on the damning truth, the more jeopardy they all find themselves in!

BOTTOM LINE:
LUKE’S TOUCH is an exhilarating, utterly intoxicating continuation of the Lucifer trilogy that’s shock full of steam, nail-biting suspense and heart-searing emotion that’s not to be missed. And yes, while of course it ends with another heart-stopping cliffy, we are nearing the finish line and I cannot wait for the mind-bending conclusion!

Highly recommend!

4.25 stars-- LUKE’S TOUCH is the second instalment in Lisa Renee Jones’ contemporary, adult LUCIFER’S erotic, romantic suspense trilogy, set in the author’s Walker Security World. LUKE’S TOUCH is the continuing story of Walker Security specialist and pilot Luke ‘Lucifer’ Remington, and FBI Agent Ana Banks. LUKE’S TOUCH should not be read as a stand alone as it picks up immediately after the events and cliff hanger of LUKE’S SIN aka LUCIFER’S SIN.

SOME BACKGROUND: Six years earlier Luke Remington met and fell in love with FBI Agent Ana Banks but life, death, betrayal and vengeance pushed Luke out of Ana’s life, and in the two years since they have been apart, Ana struggles to accept what happened and why. When Luke gets word that he and Ana, as well as several members of his original team are part of a hit list, Luke and the team from Walker Security go in search of the woman he loves, only discover betrayal at the highest level.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Luke and Ana) LUKE’S TOUCH follows Luke and Ana on the run. Another member of Luke’s original team has gone missing and is presume dead, and Luke’s need to protect Ana becomes his first priority but all is not well when secrets begin to reveal betrayal at every level including betrayal by the people Ana thought she had loved. Clues take Ana and Luke on a cross country journey, a journey that comes full circle when the past comes back to life, threatening our story line couple. What ensues is the rebuilding romance and relationship between Ana and Luke, as our couple, along with Walker Security, try to stay one step ahead of the people in control.

The relationship between Ana and Luke struggles in the face of past heart break and lies. Luke has never stopped loving the woman who has stolen his heart but Ana battles with the knowledge that betrayal, death and secrets follow our hero, in his wake. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and passionate with the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

Several members of the Walker Security Team return including Savage and Adam, as Blake Walker (via phone),Luke’s former teammate Parker, and Ana’s boss Mike.

LUKE’S TOUCH follows the search for the truth; the search for a killer, and the realization that heart break and betrayal are but the tip of the proverbial ice-berg. The fast paced premise is enthralling and exciting; the romance is provocative and steamy; the characters are broken but struggling to heal. LUKE’S TOUCH ends on a cliff hanger-you have been warned

I love Lucifer / Luke and I think being able to see what made him in to the man he is really helps add another layer to things. Add to that the story with Ana, well we have something intense, complex, and HOT.

We left off the first book with these two on the run, we know that many of the people around them are dirty and we don’t yet know who we can trust. There’s so much more of a mystery shrouding the whole situation with what it was that Ana’ brother was doing, as well as the resolution with her father, his business and everyone who’s connected to them. Walker is now involved and we know that they’ve got their back, but there’s always a question of who’s going to survive.

The chemistry between Luke and Ana is something that we have to struggle with. They are meant to be of course, but they fight each other on what the future holds since they both know that it’s not safe to be together. There’s really not future for them though that doesn’t include one another, so we get to watch how they combust, how they dance around each other and hopefully how they resolve to just be what they always were meant to be.

Throughout this second installment we fly all over the place, uncovering more secrets, questioning the motivations and motives around all the actions of the past, and really wondering if people who are said to be dead are dead. You know in these types of books, just like in all good soap operas, if you haven’t seen a body, the person isn’t dead, and even if you have, the person’s not dead. So that’s what we encounter after there are shoot outs, huntings and lies. Someone who’ deemed dead isn’t, and someone that we thought was on our side flips.

So, that means that we’re on the edge of a cliff again. Guns being pointed at everyone’s heads, and there’s a big question mark on who’s going to come out alive. There’s tension, heat and hatred, all wrapped up in the last few chapters here.

This is the second installment of the Lucifer trilogy, and LRJ opens it up with a recap of the first book. It picks up right where it left off, and Ana and Luke are once again on the run in Denver. They still don't know exactly what they're looking for, or who even is after them.

What I liked:
-Nobody builds up suspense in these trilogies like LRJ.
-Luke and Ana have a lot of angst and history and love and chemistry between them, and they're being thrown together now as both of their lives are in danger. It makes for some good angst and sexy times.
-Both Luke AND Ana are badasses, another thing I like about LRJ. She writes women that are fierce and strong, but they don't do that "I don't need a man for anything so I'm going to do unbelievably stupid things and have to be rescued" thing that a lot of romance authors are guilty of.
-Savage and Adam are the Walker agents there, and I never get tired of Savage. Also, when is Adam going to get his own story?

What I didn't like:
-How is Blake always able to get cars/phones/people to wherever the hell his agents are? He apparently can hack into any camera or computer or security system anywhere, and apparently, there is no end to the number of people Walker can send to anyone's aide anywhere. It's exhausting, quite frankly. Does the man sleep?
-At one point, they're in a mountain cabin in a snowstorm, trying to find something her former partner left for her, they're being chased by God knows who trying to find God knows what, but they still decide to have sex? I'm willing to suspend belief to a point, but that just seemed like something really stupid two badasses wouldn't do.

What I didn't like:

This is the continuation of Ana and Luke's story as this picks up where "Luke's Sin" left off. This series must be read in order.

Luke and Ana are continuing to unravel the mystery surrounding Ana's brother and his betrayal as it appears to be connected to the reason someone is after them now and killing those involved in the events of the past. They want what they think Luke and Ana have but neither Luke nor Ana have any clue what this is. It is not clear who they can trust and the rule of thumb is that if they are not Walker Security then trust them not until Walker Security can prove otherwise.

Whilst there is still some tension between Luke and Ana that exists from their past but the chemistry between them keeps pulling them together and is off the charts. There is still lots to be resolved between them but it is a start. Ana is tenacious, strong and confident. She knows what she wants and won't let Luke make decisions for her. I admire and love her sass and strength. Luke is very much an alpha male and finds himself on the back foot continuously with Ana who doesn't automatically jump to his orders. It is fun to watch.

This was another great read by Lisa Renee Jones. As usual for the second book in a series, it ended with more questions than answers. There was plenty of edge of your seat action as well as off the charts sexual chemistry and heat. Looking forward to the conclusion to this series.

I love diving into another Lisa Renee Jones series and I had been waiting for Lucifer’s Trilogy to be completely released. Then I decided to grab it in audio for the ultimate experience since the always amazing Jason Clarke and Andi Arndt narrated this story. Let me say, this was just what I was in the mood for. The story has tension and suspense - a second chance, romantic suspense that will keep you guessing. Luke (Lucifer) and Ana have so much tension between them with the events of the past keeping them from giving into the red hot chemistry that brews between them. All 3 parts of this story are high on fast paced action, steamy tension, mystery, and quite a lot of tension breaking spice.

They were once in love, but life and tragedy tore them apart. When threats from an unknown enemy thrust them together, they must learn to trust each other again. Their heat and passion ignites while they track down the source of their trouble and uncover truths from their shared past. Their journey to find a mysterious package reveals ghosts - both dead and alive - and they discover that they may have a future together after all.

I have always loved Lucifer in the other stories he appears in and was one of two characters I wanted to have their own stories. He was every bit of the good guy with dark edges I’ve always known him to be. Ana wasn’t what I expected, but I liked her better for it. She was just as skilled as the guys, but more emotionally vulnerable that you might expect. It made her a bit of a paradox at times, but honestly she worked for the story. I wished they had worked it out a bit sooner and had more of an opportunity to work together as operatives in the story. There is more focus on their past and the rocky dynamic that it created between them rather than the suspense plot. While I really enjoyed this trilogy, it doesn’t top my favorite of LRJ’s stories. Overall, I felt like this was an excellent addition to the expansive Walker Security series and sincerely hope to get more in the future, particularly Adam’s HEA.

Luke’s Touch the second book in the Walker Security: Lucifer Trilogy by Lisa Renee Jones. This starts exactly where Luke’s Sin let off so it is imperative that you read this series in order. And oh…what an adventure is in store for Luke and Ana as they come together and try to figure out all the clues.

“The past rages between us as a part of the present, a mix of love, hate, and confusion that is stirred with a shot of blood and death.”

Nothing is what it seems. The last two years they have felt betrayed and hurt. Together they had always been okay. Stronger together. Trust was never an issue. But now they must fix their relationship. As danger surrounds them.

His kiss undoes her, his touch sets her on fire. She is the soft, heady mix of past and present that both torments and soothes him. Their want for each other and all-consuming need, is nothing new. But will he be her salvation or her destruction?

This had me on the edge of my seat as these two fight for their future together. Full of danger, hate, passion, and love. Get ready for the heat that this author is known for bringing.

I need the last in this series NOW! Loved it!

Received an early copy and this is my honest review.

Lucifer’s Touch is the second book in the Lucifer series. This series must be read in the order of release.

If you haven’t already fallen in love with Luke and Ana, this book with cement the deal. Not just “seal the deal,” CEMENT it. I fell in love with Luke the first time he was introduced as Lucifer. Then Ana came along and had him at gunpoint in a heartbeat. I knew then that these two would always have sparks flying, emotions high, and a happily ever after just around the bend.

Their relationship has taken some brutal hits. It is damaged, but it not beyond repair. I love that they are figuring out how to communicate in the midst of heart-pounding, adrenaline-filled, non-stop terror.

I’m hanging onto the cliff and counting the days until we’re all rescued from the wait.

Note: While I received this book as a gifted ARC, my opinions are my own and are given freely.

Intense and intriguing. This is a strong second part in Luke's trilogy. Dirty secrets abound, yet the emotional journey is the main element here.

Ana and Luke haven't finished hashing out their dark baggage, but it's like a catharsis between them. Anger, resentment, fear of abandonment, even guilt. Above all, though, it's that unstoppable pull of love and lust. And it's hot in this book, so hot it's sweaty and carnal and clothes fly off.

I liked the detailed focus on the main couple's state of mind and turbulent emotions. What I enjoyed the most is when the action is set in motion with old allies turning suspicious and endless layers of dirty deeds being uncovered.

Ana and Luke work together to follow clues and it takes them on a remarkably bumpy and dangerous path. The last few chapters are a revelation of emotional bonding and also mortal threats. Good cliffhanger. I'm ready for book 3.

I continue to marvel at Lisa Renee Jones' prowess as an author. The suspense and intrigue she weaves into a story captures and holds your interest, keeps you guessing about what comes next and often times has you on the edge of your seat. The emotions and feelings she explores between Luke and Ana are deep, raw and gritty; anger, need, lust, pain, guilt, remorse and love. What they finally figure out and understand is that they're stronger together than apart and no matter the hurt and pain of the past they never stopped loving one another.

As the mystery of the reasons for the hitlist and who is on it deepens the twists are myriad and become increasingly fast paced. No one is above suspicion and the Walker team scrambles to get answers. The danger increases with each passing hour. Be prepared this books ends with an astonishing revelation and a helluva cliffhanger.

I have read another fantastic book from Lisa Renee Jones! I absolutely adore these Walker men and cannot get enough reading about them and the women that bring them to their knees, literally. Lucifer (Luke) and Ana have a difficult past and this is basically a second chance for them. There is a lot going on in this book with some suspense and you really wonder can these two get past what happened to them to move forward. Lisa provides us flashbacks so we can understand and get to know these characters. The ending has a bit of a cliff hanger but I know we won't have to wait long before we get the next book. I am very anxious to see where Lisa takes us on the journey! I received an advance copy of this book from the author and this is my honest and voluntary review.
