For 300 years I’ve been a Siren. I swam around the ocean, stalking and luring thousands of sailors and fishermen to their deaths with my song. I wanted to exact my revenge on the men who let me drown all those years ago, leaving me at Poseidon’s mercy. One day, my hatred ran out and guilt seeped in. What monster had I become?
Now, I feel like I’m trapped in Poseidon’s net of control and lies. I need out of this life before it consumes me. My life changes when I see three handsome and rugged fishermen. They are so beautiful and free. I wonder what it would be like to feel the kind of freedom that would allow me to create my own destiny.
When I get the chance to live in their world, I take it. I want to see what else Land has to offer. Poseidon, my master, doesn’t plan on letting me go so easily. He wants me, his property, back in his grasp. Will my fishermen accept my true form? Can I escape Poseidon’s control? When I finally feel like I have all the answers, everything changes… and now I’m not sure if freedom will ever be in the cards for me.
Warning
This is a full-length erotica romance novel intended for an 18+ audience. The Siren’s Seduction is the first book in the Siren Saga series. It ends on a cliffhanger and contains references to murder, domestic violence, parental abuse, general violence, and contains other themes that readers may find triggering including strong language. This is a reverse harem romance with MM content. The female lead character has multiple love interests and does not feel the need to choose between them.
MK Robert is a French-Canadian writer. She started writing as a teenager. Being a writer was always her dream and 15 years later she finally made that dream come true with her debut novel The Siren’s Seduction with Co-Writer Maggie Bonnet.
Loralie is a siren, and that’s all she’s known for the majority of her life. Singing her song, killing men, and doing Poseidon’s bidding is all she’s allowed to do - and she’s sick of it. So when Lori runs away, Poseidon gives her two weeks to return to him and the sea. And while Lori has no intention of returning to her cruel master, she needs to figure out a plan.
Catching a ride with Finn, Mac, and James, the fishermen she saved, is her first step. Lori didn’t intend to feel anything towards any of them, but each man is enticing in his own way, and she ends up catching feelings for all three. The only problem is that James hates her, and she refuses to tell any of them the truth about her identity.
Holy cow, I cannot recommend this book enough!!! I love reverse harem novels, and this one did not disappoint. First of all, I absolutely adored Lori. She’s so sweet and sassy, and I love how she always has a cutting comeback every time James tries to insult her. I admire her for her strength and selflessness.
This is my first book by these two authors, but I know that it won’t be my last. The worldbuilding was excellent, the imagery was descriptive, and the romance was well developed. And as for the steamy bits… oh my!!! Absolutely brilliant. This is the perfect book for those who enjoy reverse harem, plus sized heroines, and sirens. 5 steamy stars!!!!
Mermaids are great but sirens just hit different you know? At least Lorelei, the take-no-shit, heart of Siren's Seductions story does. Her journey from seeking endless vengeance for the murder of her human self at the hands of a superstitious crew 300 years ago to trying to escape Poseidon's control hooked me in from the start.
And then the harem she collects once she gets on land. ::fans myself::
All I can say is it takes a very special collection of attentive and dominating men to hold down a bad ass (mer)babe like Lorelei and, wow, does she get what she needs. All I can say is that I don't blame her for not wanting to head back to the sea (looks at Finn and Mac).
The world building and siren lore really added so much dimension to this romance and make me really interested in reading where this author duo is going in book two.
an absolutely amazing book! i finished it in a day. it had me clinging to the edge of my seat almost the entire time. i love the dynamic/character development going on and cannot wait for the second book coming in March. i also really loved the multiple POVs to show internal dialogue and thoughts within the different characters. 1000000/10 would recommend this book! 🖤
Wow what can i say , for the first book i have read from MK and Maggie, this book was so good! The character development was hands down so good! So many steamy hot scenes! Lori and her dirty sailor men are everything you could hope for . You have one of every thing! James is the mean one , Flinn is the cute kinda boy next door, Mac is the dirty playboy , and then there is Storm he is the strong slient type and hands down my favorite! The girls did so well with the plot and story line .
Diving in head first! I have read other mermaid RH books and none of them compare to this book! I love how there are multiple POVs and how they overlap time wise so you get the whole story. This book surprised me so much! And I mean that in the best possible way! First off, Lori, such a strong woman who knows her worth and I love that she fights for what she wants. Even when she is dealing with the ignorance of James and confused about certain things, she comes out swinging! My heart bleeds for her! Mac and Finn I love love love them and their dynamic. How they didn’t question their feelings and didn’t fight what they felt was right! Storm I want to love with how compassionate and understanding he is, but I’m torn.. him with jack just makes me want to throw my kindle across the room. (I didn’t thankfully) James, Sir, you need a swift kick in your behind and stop being so Mean!! Those last two chapters I was so excited and then just completely awed and then broken!!! I was not read for this book to end! There are so many things going on and I honestly have no idea where this story is going next? What will Poseidon do? What are the plans Jack made? Will James grow up and face his own feeling? How will Mac and Finn fix things? Will there be a HEA? Safe to say that this book was amazing, intriguing, funny, suspenseful, and spicy! Thank you to the authors who gifted me with new characters to obsess over! Now just impatiently waiting for book #2 !
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
First off, I just want to say want an amazing story this is gif the debut novel for MK Robert and Maggie Bonnet. Well done ladies, now when do we get book 2 because that ending was evil 😉.
Lori is an amazing character. She has been through hell & has come out kicking and swimming (pun intended). I love her as a character! All of the men in her life have had rough pasts that have definitely shaped them into the men they are. I cannot wait to see how Lori helps them to grow in future books. This growth started in this book, but it is definitely in the infancy, which makes sense for book 1 in the series.
This book is also very hot. Yummy! Two of the men in Lori’s harem have a previous relationship together and I love seeing how they brought her into the fold together.
I love this book! It has been a very long time since I have read a book with a mermaid, or siren in this case, and I really enjoyed the take on the mythology that the authors took.
As a pretty regular PNR and RH reader I was pretty excited to ‘dive in’ to my first romance with mermaids, and I am here to say this book does not disappoint! MK and Maggie do a great job with weaving a tale of discovery, differing points of view, some mystery and some downright spicy action between the characters. I enjoyed the myth behind the main character, her badass abilities, and why she escaped to land. I felt the characters were very well thought out, had great chemistry, and just enough backstory to pull you in and want to know more. MK and Maggie take you through this story, bring you to an almost agonizing decision of the character and take us right off the edge of one hell of a cliffhanger. I am really excited to see where this story goes and can’t wait for the next book. Well done ladies!!
I absolutely loved The Siren’s Seduction. Thank you Maggie and MK for giving us a badass female main character who has curves and doesn’t take crap from anyone. Loralie is absolutely wonderful. She doesn't put up with crap from James, no matter how much he goads her. She gives it right back to him, and stands up for herself. I love Loralie’s relationship with Finn and Mac, and the boy’s relationship with each other. And then there’s the hot and brooding Storm, who clearly has something up his sleeve. The storytelling and world building was absolutely amazing. And there was so much spice!!! The cliffhanger with Storm and Jack left me wanting more. I can’t wait for the next book in the series to find out what happens with Loralie and her group of sexy fishermen!
I have read a lot of PNR books and this one does not disappoint. Lorelai is a bad ass Siren and the men just answer her call. The different POV'S were just so explosive. It is nice when you can read a story from more than just the FMC'S point of view. I loved this story and how it developed. I can't wait for Book 2. Great job ladies !!!!!!!!
Nothing better than a golden retriever, Dom, alphahole and stalker to round out your harem.
While Lori is trying to move on from her past and keep her siren status a secret, a nefarious plot against her might be brewing. Characters you'll fall in love with, a story that'll keep you reading and an ending that makes you question everything.
This is such a great story; one of the ones that stay in your head long after you’re done reading. The characters are so well developed. You feel like you’re in a relationship with them too! The storyline isn’t predictable, but it is entertaining! I really enjoyed it.
Yes, Yes, Yes! This book has and is everything I've ever wanted. The different POV's and the emotions. I feel like I've been an a literal roller-coaster. Can't wait for book 2! Awesome job Ladies!!
This was so good! I loved the little twist of mythology! The guys have so much depth. I love how the MC has so much sheer strength and the ability to dominate any of them but remains so sweet and even submissive to a point. This is a wonderful read and I can’t wait for book two!
RH's aren't my typical read but the book was enticing from the start. I can't wait to read more by both of these authors. Siren's are real and sexy fisherman can't get enough of Lori. One man has her as another looks on. Little do they know she wants whatever can fill the void and keep her away from Poseidon. Great read for sure!!
I really enjoyed reading Loralie’s journey. There were a few elements I haven’t read before and I CANNOT wait for the next book to see what happens. Sooo good.
DNF (did not finish). What made the book unfinishable in your opinion? The story has a mixture of Greek mythology and the retelling of The Little Mermaid. I was creeped out by Poseidon collecting a harem of women. It's unfortunate the main character is one of them. Then you're vaguely introduced to two of the love interests who are lovers. Insert a hot intimacy scene between them. Then the main character goes to save one of them from a competing siren. The main character decides to stay on land most likely because Poseidon is going to want revenge against her. Unfortunately, by this point in the book I just wasn't interested. It could be that I'm not a fan of Greek mythology or it could be that I don't like retellings of fairy tales. Either way, I recognize this book has potential it just did not hook me into the story. I stopped around 10%, so I'm going to give this book an average rating because I didn't get far enough to give it a genuine judgment.
God damnit this was so good but I hate both of them for that ending 😭😭 way to rip out a girls heart and stomp on it a bit. I feel like that ending was on par with the Peckham/Valenti Sisters.
Loved me some Mac Daddy and Finn, UNF. Their scenes together were delicious and their scenes with Lori were too.
James needs a damn good smack upside the head and I really hope he gets his shit together and GROVELS hard in book 2 because he really fucked things up throughout this book.
I’m reserving judgement on Storm tbh until the next book.
I have many, many feels about this book. I thoroughly enjoyed it and finished it in about 5 hours. Lori was such a great FMC for the group and I really hope they all manage to get their shit together in book 2. Thank god the next release is only a week away!!
Five freaking stars for Siren's Seduction!! This book was such a joy to read and I am thrilled to have received an advanced copy from the authors.
Loralie is a curvy, bad ass siren that's done playing monster of the sea under the thumb of her keeper, Poseidon. She finds three hot fishermen that take her in and their love is absolute FIRE! This story has everything: mermaids, morally grey baddies, tattooed daddies, sexy bar games, enticing piercings, sword crossing, tortured souls, a foul-mouthed heroine, alleyway deviances, and even some throat ripping. That ending kept me on my toes and I can't WAIT for the second book in a few months!
8⭐️/5 15🌶/5 First, read it. Second, no I’m serious go download it on kindle unlimited. Ok ok I guess I’ll tell you why you should do that. Lori has been a siren for a very long time and something calls her to the humans she’s supposed to destroy. She meets 3 fishermen and explores land life for a few weeks while getting alllll of the spice mf and mmf. She has made an accidental enemy in James by merely existing however she handles him very well and doesn’t let him get to her so much. This book has everything! I will warn you it does end on a cliffhanger! But don’t let that stop you I think this is my favorite read of this year so far!
Stash this one on the MUST READ pile and get to it!
I really enjoyed this book. Loralie is a siren. She has been doing what a siren does for 300 years. She gets sick of the same old. She has been spying on a ship with three men that work on it. She ends up having to say one of the guys from something that happened. She ends up staying with them. Mac and Finn both click with Loralie right off. James doesn’t like or trust her. They meet up with Jack and Storm. They all head out in the boat to get to Boston. There is lots of steam and some drama. Loralie’s secret comes out. Will they guys accept her? Will she have to go back living under the sea? Read the book to find out.
Noooo😩 I was not ready for that to end… I need book 2 STAT. That was excellent! I love this genre of fantasy and it isn’t done enough! Our main character was great! I love seeing curvy women (and men who love them) in books. I wanna bitch slap freaking Jamie buuut I don’t know… I’m not giving up home on him. So many secrets to explore! I can’t wait to see all the mysteries unravel that were hinted at in this book! Some characters have a lot of explaining, apologizing, and RESCUING to do but I’m here for it!
Cons: Somewhat repetitive Some parts reminds me of different tales put together
Cliffhanger may be a con to some ( not going to lie this is the part that I liked the most and made me want to continue because before this I wasn't sure I would be interested)
I am not sure how I feel about the male characters I don't exactly love them nor do I hate them. The only one that stood out to me the most is Storm maybe because he is a stalker and I don't know his story yet.
There’s just something about Sirens. It helps that Loralie is awesome! She takes no s**t and can stand up for herself just fine. It’s been 300 years, so she fell out of touch with her emotions, but the guys begin to bring them out in her. She’s sassy and always has a comeback ready for James, yet at the same time she’s sweet and loving with Mac, Finn, and Storm. Truthfully, I struggled in the beginning to get into the book, it felt flat, and I couldn’t connect with the characters, but as it went on, they grew on me – a lot – and I was hanging on every word. By the end I was dying to know what happens next! It was a refreshing read; I’ve never read a book like it. I would recommend this to anyone who loves the ocean and the tales of the Siren’s. 🖤
It got much better as it went along and the authors got into the groove of it. The beginning seemed shallow and the descriptions very repetitive. I think they could have used some strong edits and less build up until the actual story.
I’m glad they proved her more fierce than just describing her as such or just verbally fierce which was the way it was going. I really struggled to connect with the characters until about 60% in.
I don’t know if I’ll read the next, but the only reason would be to see if I was right about Jack.
Loralie is a siren who wreaks havoc with sailors for her maker, but she is tired of this dark life. When she rescues a sailor from another siren, she has no choice but to hide on land with him and his fellow sailors.
I loved that Loralie was strong, both physically and mentally. She is no damsel in need of saving. I'm very curious where this story is going. There were a lot of mysteries presented with very few answers. It was an enjoyable read.
Interesting Tale —Tail? *snort laughing at own joke*
I liked this first offering from new authors Maggie Bonnet and MK Robert. It was a interesting take on the siren mythology, and I enjoyed the interactions between the characters. The heroine is feisty, so if you like strong heroines who are not ashamed or scared if intimacy with different heroes, you’ll enjoy this tale. Beautiful cover too. Book ended on a cliffhanger, and I’m really excited to see what happens next.
mermaids are beautiful but sirens the have it alll.
This is the first book I have ever read of Maggie's and it didn't dissapoint .
Fell in love with Lori and her men, I mean who wouldn't lol. James is the grumpy one who I wasn't too keen on Finn aww he is such a sweetheart Storm the brooding silent type and then there is mac omigosh he's mine I swear he maybe a playboy but holy damnnnnn
