A fun, witty romance story with sweetness and steam. A fun and enjoyable romantic comedy. Great characters, strong chemistry and an all around enjoyable read.

Alex Keaton is the narrator (I am picturing teenaged Michael J. Fox wearing a suit but Alex is supposed to be this super hot casual hunk and probably not anything like his namesake.). In the beginning of the story, Alex is the shallowest son of a gun on this side of the date line, with a tendency to objectify all babes. His life is chasing girls and parties with his friends, I don't even know what he does for a living. He is the quintessential horndog, treating girls as a game, frequently pursuing several hook-up prospects at the same time. Now his friend and wingman Marco is getting hitched, and his friend Claire who used to date Marco is taking it hard. Alex thinks she's hot and wants to tap that and shockingly, she's not ready to jump at his offer. But one day he comforts Claire when she's upset and one thing leads to another. Alex gets to taste his own medicine as this time Claire is the one who wants to keep it casual and meaningless and Alex feels rejected. So this is the story of a commitment phobe who changes his tune when a girl appears hard to get.

I enjoyed this story and the way it's structured around events in Marco's relationship. Although the attitude Alex has about girls in general could get rather annoying if you knew him in real life, even if he likes and respects Claire more in particular. At least, eventually he does. It is light entertainment that can be finished quickly and doesn't go very deep into any soul searching issues. I liked the ending scene.

Steam level: Alex has a lot of sex but doesn't describe it in graphic detail, mostly just sharing what happened in the aftermath.

I couldn’t put this book down. I wasn’t so sure about the storyline following Marco but I found that in the end it worked out. This is told from Alex’s point of view and he is a huge player. He seemed to be enjoying his free lifestyle and being with numerous different women every week. Claire, on the other hand, is the total opposite of Alex. She seems put off by his lifestyle choices. I enjoyed how the 2 main characters developed and matured throughout the story. The realizations that Alex goes through were amazing. I wasn’t sure if it was going to end up being a happy ending or not. I loved reading what was going to happen with Claire and Alex. Would definitely read more from this author.

Let me just start by saying it was a horrible idea to start this book at night.😂 I literally could not put it down. From the very beginning I was hooked. The beginning was a little different, but I still loved it. At the beginning I wasn’t a fan of Alex and Claires relationship, but after awhile I grew to love them. This is not so much slow burn, as it is casual hook up to romance. Overall I was a fan, and I can’t wait to see what else Sara Breaker writes next!
This book would be perfect for fan of slow burn, clean romance and friends to lovers!

This is the first time reading something by Ms. Breaker and I was not disappointed. It is a fun and cute romantic comedy that is both sweet and a little steamy. The story had a nice flow to it and definitely kept my interest all the way through. I loved the characters of Alex and Claire and they had such great dialogue that had me laughing and smiling. Great book to take with you to read relaxing by the pool or beach. I would love to read more books by Ms. Breaker. Lots of fun - I definitely recommend!

The opening scene is rather crass just like the main character who is an absolute lame sleaze bag. By the middle of the story, it's just dragging on and on. The ending almost makes up for it, but not quite. Claire's probably the only part of the story worth any effort.

Haunting. Tragic. Twisted. Unpredictable. Wonderful characters.

When They Do is a short and sweet romance story. Sara went outside the box with this book as it’s written very differently than most. It worked out very well though. I don’t normally read sweet romance, but I think Sara did a great job with this book and I would definitely read more from her.
Alex is a playboy and is perfectly content with his status. Claire is still hung up on the past. Can these two find their HEA or will their past get in the way?

This was the first book I have read by Sara Breaker and I look forward to reading more. This was a fun and enjoyable romantic comedy. I was hooked from the beginning until the end. I love a quick read that still gives you everything that you need. I felt like the characters and the story were well written. Claire and Alex will have you laughing and smiling. If you want a fun and quick romcom check this book out. I would recommend it.

A first person narration by the hero makes this romantic comedy unique and lends itself to a lot of humor as Alex figures out how to pull his head out of his... er... place where the sun doesn't shine to get the girl that he never thought he was meant to be with, but who might be perfect for him. It was a quick read, full of chuckles and romance that was perfect for an evening in.

Absolutely LOVED this book! Written in male point of view, this is the story of the notorious Playboy who will never fall in love. Contains adult themes but not hot and steamy. An absolute great read!
