Innerhalb dieses Buches wird kurz das Leben des Naturforschers Sir David Attenborough beschrieben und seine Tätigkeit als Naturfilmer erläutert. Er war einer der ersten, der Tiere, Pflanzen, etc. innerhalb ihrer natürlichen Umgebung gefilmt und dokumentiert hat. Es waren die ersten großes Dokumentationsfilme im Fernsehen.
Erneut ergänzen hier wenige Sätze die Zeichnungen, die meiner Meinung nach zwar etwas schwächer sind als in anderen Büchern (z.B. die Illustrationen in Anne Frank), dennoch aber recht schön anzuschauen sind.
Gern hätte ich noch ein wenig mehr zum Leben von Attenborough selbst erfahren, aber ich kann auch verstehen, dass dies auf einer so beschränkten Anzahl an Seiten kaum möglich ist.
Das Buch eignet sich also hervorragend für Kinder, die sich gern mit Tieren beschäftigen und vielleicht sogar bereits eine Dokumentation von Attenborough gesehen haben. Vor allem da es meines Wissens nach auch eines der ersten Bücher für Kinder ist, dass den Forscher behandelt. Er ist daher eine wunderbare Ergänzung innerhalb einer Sammlung von wichtigen und inspirenden Persönlichkeiten neben bekannteren Wissenschaftlern wie Albert Einstein, Marie Curie, etc.
Aufgrund des doch etwas leichteren Themas ist das Buch,denke ich, etwas einfacher für Kinder zu verstehen, allerdings gibt es auch wieder ein paar schwierigere Begriffe - diesmal vor allem englische Begriffe, was natürlich logisch ist, wenn es um das Leben eines britischen Forschers geht. Daher empfehle ich auch bei diesem Buch wieder, das Vorlesen des Buches durch einen Erwachsenen, damit fremdsprachige Begriffe genauer erläutert und Fragen geklärt werden können. Auch hier also wieder eine klare Empfehlung des Buches! Bisher gefällt mir die gesamte Reihe sehr gut und ich freue mich auf weitere Bücher!

Inspired Inner Genius’s newest book is David Attenborough.
Such a great look into the life of someone who has helped make nature a public interest. I hadn’t heard of him so this was extremely interesting!
I love knowing this book is out there for kids to learn more about David. The glossary, extra information, and free educational guide make this book a great teaching tool.
I typically love the illustrations in these books. I can’t say as I did with this one. The colors used throughout the book & the facial features weren’t aesthetically appealing to me.
