▪▪▪▪Francis Patrick “FOCUS” Flanagan Sgt. at Arms for the Royal Bastards NYC/Rotten Apple Chapter▪▪▪▪

I knew immediately Nixx’s tough girl game was an act—New Yorker with a rough edge and a decent size chip on her shoulder—I wasn’t buyin’ that mess at all. She has the eyes of a damn angel and lips that’d make the most religious man wanna lay down with Satan himself. She’d make the Bastards a lot of money.

I’d make sure of that.

Rattler thought he’d be the one to pull her in, but she was used to guys like him. She hadn’t been around one like me. My mama always said, “You get more flies with honey than you do with vinegar.” I’d be the honey until Nixx was grindin’ on and openin’ all those flies. Boy, did that girl shock the hell outta me. It was like takin’ candy from a baby. Until, she started to like her job too much.

I told her she’d be a waitress. I swear on my mama it wasn’t a lie. She did waitress. Then she stripped, escorted, did webcams. Then I took her to L.A. to see what she was made of. That’s when I couldn’t take it anymore. She pushed my buttons too many times—smilin’ and teasin’ while she was with all them other dudes.

I wasn’t supposed to fall for any of those girls. Turn ‘em out, keep ‘em high, and make ‘em work those little honey pots until they couldn’t stand—that was my job. Nixx’ s pot never broke or ran dry. For some reason it bugged the ever livin’ piss outta me. Ya know, Eve took the world down by makin’ Adam eat an apple. Either Nixx was the shiniest apple of the bunch or the most rotten apple of ‘em all.

▪▪▪▪Nicolette Barrett/Nixx Barrit▪▪▪▪

I’m Nixx Barrit—it should be Ni-XXX with three fat ‘X’s considering I’m a fancy hooker. Ya know—an escort. Whatever you wanna call it, I do what I do for the all mighty dollar. Cash is king and it all hits the palms of the most royal, rotten hands in the Big Apple.

It started when FOCUS and Rattler walked into a diner where I worked. Next thing I knew I was a waitress in their place, The Mounds Bar, at least that’s what the Bastards said I’d be. What a joke! It took about a month, until I was crawlin' around on the middle of the stage. The girls tried to feed me meth and liquor but the biggest drug of all was FOCUS. If you piled all of them on a table they wouldn't compare to the high I got bein' around that psycho Irishman.

I write raw, gritty, and flawed characters who ultimately find, perfection is not a prerequisite. Our flaws are what make us unique and some flaws compliment each other better than others.

About B.B. Blaque
I’m a dark author . . . I won’t call the dark stuff romance in the least, but there is much erotica and SUPER MIND F**KERY. I’ve even been told recently there’s a big helping of horror. My other books do have a lot of romance and HEA, just not the Beautiful Evil or Sawree Duet)

I live the BDSM lifestyle (as a submissive/slave) and have for many years, so when I write it comes from knowledge of the subject matter. My dark stuff is NOT BDSM (except for Beautiful Evil the Master and The Masters M.C. #2 Beautiful Insanity.)

I’ve also been involved, in some way, with bikers, and motorcycle clubs since I was a teenager. What I write doesn’t come from research; it comes from living the lifestyles and writing what I know.

That being said, I also love psychology, the darkness of people’s minds, serial killer profiles, and horror. I write monsters who are real men—which to me are much more frightening because they could be anyone you know.

I love BDSM (Male dominant/female submissive.) There's something that just feels so right about a man wearing the pants (especially when he wears them well and fills them nicely.) I am interested in the psychological aspects of relationships in general and especially when there is a power-exchange dynamic.

My world would stopping revolving if not for heavy rock music (and the wonderfully talented people who make it.) Music and it's makers will definitely be strongly visible in my work. I listen, I remember...I listen, I'm inspired...to write...to love...to f**k...to live.

"Shiny apple. Rotten to the core.

Ladies! LADIES!!! Omg...

There are authors...you simply know that whatever story they are creste, is going to rock your reading bubble. B.b. Blaque is definitely one of them. You never know what road she is going to lead you onto, or rather, in this book,  what road trip she is going to kidnap you into...*smiles / grins /giggle*.

Rotten Apple is so different from her last books. Yet, as soon as I started reading I recognized the author's style, her atmosphere.

The subject matters are certainly less dark than what I expected, BUT, you have to trust her to bring out some crazy and intense emotions !!!!

A whore / pimp story? Sign me in for a challenging read, the kind Mrs Blaque can write, and that I love.  Forget about anything plush, lush, luxurious, stark...Instead you'll see the real, the gritty, the not-that-shiny side of the strip / porn business.

I was very curious about FOCUS after meeting him in G.F.Y...Ahhh! That guy was not doubt the a$$hole I was expecting him to be! He is ruthless (at at first ruthlessly charming), relentless, harsh, violent... Nixx never saw the trap coming until it was too late. The naive waitress caught in the web of the Royal Bastards' Sargent at Arms didn't really stand a chance.

"There was a note written in my lipstick. Shower. Shave. Dry hair. No make-up. King highn-ass, sergant major pain in my ass had spoken."

If I felt bad for her, and was so angry with him, the story quickly took another turn of events! Surprise? Oh yes, it was so twisted! FOCUS knows how to get the best of his little monster, but Nixx definitely knows how and when push his buttons! Degradation, humiliation, objectification, jealousy...they play all those cards. It was so wrong and it works so good for them!

"The nastier I was the more she responded. She needed to be kept in a nice, tight, little box."

The rhythm gripped me, the tension kept me enthralled. And the last scene was utterly perfect for that imperfect couple. *winks*....I can only bow to that fine line that B.b. Blaque once again navigated with brio.

I VOLUNTARILY REVIEWED AN ARC COPY OF THIS BOOK. THANK YOU!!!

Rotten Apple is a full length novel set in the Royal Bastards MC world. It featured several characters from the other books of the project that piqued my curiosity.

* First time reading author

I have to admit Rotten Apple was hard for me to read. The graphic sex scenes and the way Nixx was so easily past around just made my skin crawl. I think the hardest part for me was that she was OKAY with it. Do not mistake my review. This is not a woman that is in trouble. Nixx is a woman that enjoys sex and wants it all the time. FOCUS is not a man that takes advantage of her, and Rotten Apple is not a romance story in any sense of the word. Rotten Apple is a story that takes you into the dark side of an MC where the crew does not sell drugs or guns. This crew sells porn, flesh, and deals in strip clubs. Nixx just happens to be their newest "shinest apple"

Focus is the Sargent at arms- the enforcer- for the Rotten Apples MC. He and his brother’s are out at a dinner and they meet Nixx. They want her to be part of the new business venture. When a brother fails to get her, Focus jumps in to get the job done. Not realizing he has done far more than he bargains for.

“Problematic is exactly what Nixx Barett was, is, and always will be.”

Nixx is the gawky looking girl. Just working a job minding her own. When she waits on Focus and his brother’s at the dinner one night. It changes her whole life.

“ Just a little pillow talk for psychopaths.”

Rotten Apple (Royal Bastards MC New York City, #1) by B.B. Blaque An incredible read, definitely not your typical romance. At all. Spoiler: Rotten Apple contains graphic sex scenes, multiple partners, and heavy violence. That being said, this lady devoured it! FOCUS, our bad-boy main man (I didn't get why his name was capitalized), and sweet waitress-turned-seductive dancer Nixx enjoyed intense chemistry, lighting up the pages from start to finish. Their journey was layered and intriguing, and the dirty dialogue was the icing on the cake! Can't wait to read Crucifixe's story...

Not for me.

I couldn’t read this book. I stopped at 50%. I know we were warned that it isn’t a typical romance but it wasn’t even close to a romance. I’m ok with that aspect until I look at everything else. The characters were not good at all. They didn’t even care about each other. They didn’t seem to have the same code as the other RBMC books when it comes to women. And the writing didn’t help. Readers should definitely give it a try and form their own opinion; I know there were others who liked this book.

Wow

I did not see this coming! This is not your typical love story. This was my first BB Blaque book but it will not be my last. Gritty and painful but funny. You start it and you keep saying to yourself "what!" But by the end you're thinking of Lord yes!

Rotten

Rotten but totally delicious. A true MC "romance" except this can't really be called a romance. I loved every filthy dirty word.
Definitely not a safe read.

This book is hard core biker at its best.

What? Cos there's not a mills n boon in sight! biker books have become so tame and boring!

This book is everything you really expect biker books to be: its dark, edgy, raw, dirty, bad, fucked up and fucking brutal.

Its not really a love story, its about a girl who is groomed to be a sex worker, whore and porn star.

Neither mcs are likeable frankly. They're pretty fucking horrible!!

Nikki is a nymphomaniac that will fuck anyone and as many as possible and doesn't seem to mind being used and abused.

Focus is a pimp and a dick, he's not nice in any way shape or form. He just wants to make money out of her.

Its a fucked up read and I freaking loved it

I love and prefer more realistic biker books and am so over the mc bandwagon that authors have jumped on to make a buck on this genre, but 90% get it so wrong.

If you want your biker books hard-core and more real this author has nailed it !!

Now why the fuck haven't I read any of her books??? Just checked i have: property of and I rated it 2 stars n wasn't impressed. Bizarre

Well, not what I was expecting....

The Royal Bastards. One of my favorite series to date.
Until this book.
Every Royal Bastard series has a story behind the character with his relationship woth his brothers.
Not this one. This was an MC of 3.
Focus. It took the ENTIRE book to know his story. Literally the last chapter. Don’t get me started on him hitting a woman. I lost all respect for this book at that part. It isn't necessary.
Nixx. Just nope. She is a Nymph. Ok cool. Luke ends up being her ex boyfriend she left behind because he didn't like it then shows up while she is stripping and diddling herself to end up being a broth in a different chapter to getting so upset that he disappeared from the story completely?! What the heck.
This story was ALL about sex and nothing about the MC brotherhood.

Don't waste your time

TW: sex trafficking

As an avid bookworm and lover of romance novels I've read a lot of books. Especially romance novels. Dark romance is not one of the sub genres I like, for reasons.

The book starts out with the female MC being groomed to become a prostitute by a pimp, who's the male MC. Bc she's "owned" by the club, she's their property and not allowed to leave. Basically she's a sex slave and a sex trafficking victim. No matter how the writer tries to justify a love story between the two main characters, this is about a sex trafficking victim and the man who uses her.

The whole plot and theme aside, it's also just very poorly written.

There are much better books about motorcycle clubs that have been written by better writers. Don't waste your time reading this book.

My rating is mostly due to the writing but as of right now it's a dnf. At first I had trouble even getting into it and that was before I read on and found out it's not even a romance. It's just a man who met a waitress and turned her into not only a stripper but a whore.

"Nothing wrong with bein' a hole. Men need 'em and they pay for 'em" said by Focus who she thought she had a relationship with.

Might come back later and try to finish but I like a little bit of a romance. In other reviews I read they don't get together.

.5 ⭐ Focus & Nixxx: triggers- human trafficking, drugs, prostitution, pornography, nymphomania, extremely rough sexual acts. I don't even know where to start with this ... I have never read a book that classifies itself as a "MC romance" or even just a "romance" that is just blatantly NOT a romance. not even a little bit. Nixxx is working at a diner as a waitress when she meets FOCUS and Crucifix. they tell her she can make a lot more money but also make it seem like they're really interested in her. all of a sudden, homegirl is stripping at the RBMC's club and then she's being passed around like dishes at a dinner table (if you know what I mean). I don't know what the author was trying to do with this book but I did not like it at all... Nixxx (the female character) seems downright ditzy and dumb and she let's these men treat her like crap while letting them literally keep her captive. oh but she believes that Focus is in love with her... WTAF... I don't know where you came from but where I come from, that's not love... honey, that's your pimp. then they end up traveling across country to visit other clubs and put her through the same routine but crucifix is the do called President of the rotten apple chapter in New York and I've been reading MC romance for years, it's very rare that the president of an MC will travel for such a long time leaving the business of running the club behind. also... crucifix and focus are the only two members of that chapter that we ever get to meet. instead, the author tries get hardest to connect this book to the series by adding characters from previous books written by previous authors in the RBMC world. however, this is where this fails for me... the antagonists in this book is in fact the members of the RBMC from this chapter in this book. because NO OTHER CHAPTER would ever treat a female, not even their sweet butts/club whores the way they treated the main female character. there's no suspense or drama just constant sex so the book is essentially just porn but in a cringe sort of way. there's no relationship buildup between the main characters. everything they learn and know about each other is very surface level. this is not a romance .. it's not love. I'm so very disappointed in this book and even more upset that this author has what looks like 5 other books in this series that I have to try to choke down. this is my first time reading this author and I have a bad taste in my mouth.

Wow

This was a hard gritty read. Raw, emotional, and sometimes cringeworthy. I couldn’t put it down. I was halfway through it and stopped to wonder why it would be listed as a romance book…at all. But I was so vested in a Happily Ever After for Nixx (and as a Crue fan, I adore the name) even though most of the time I was hoping there would be a huge shoot out and Focus would die.

And then I realized I was so sucked into the story, because it was so raw and real. That women do fall in love with their pimps, that some women’s choices when it comes to their sexuality is vastly different than my own, but that doesn’t make it less true to life.

The author wrote of a vivid dark world that people consider the “seedier” part of life. MC’s, prostitution, stripping, pornography, hard drug use. She didn’t let you look at her characters through rose colored glasses, or pull any punches with their personalities. They were real, sometimes terrible people.

This book isn’t for the faint of heart. It’s also not for those looking for a sweet love story. Very little that happens in this book is sweet. It’s a dark, emotional read. But I did get the happily after ever I wanted, and it didn’t end in death.

Definitely five stars. One of those I borrowed on kindle unlimited, but also bought, cause I’m greedy and when I like a book I want to keep it.

On to two, which I’m worried about, because I kinda fell half in love with Crucifix in this story, and I’m afraid I’ll want him gunned down halfway through his book too…lol

I LOVE THIS BOOK!!!
You know how sometimes read a book and know it DESPERATELY deserves more than 5 stars?? Well this is one of those books. I think I went through EVERY emotion imaginable reading Rotten Apple. That FOCUS kept me my toes the whole book through. He put Nixx through the ringer and she gave as she got. Nixx is a strong, independent woman who knows what she wants and goes after it.
And FOCUS doesn't seem to know what to do with her. He's hard, callous, cocky and is as big of an a**hole as they come but I think he's met his match with Nixx. He has no idea what he's got coming when he goes into the diner she works at in Brooklyn.

“What makes you think I’d let you take me home your Highn-Ass?”

“That’s your Majesty, and I’m takin’ you home because I’m safer than the subway" “And, because I said so. Get on.”

She's tough as nails and as sassy as it comes. I freakin love the relationship between the two of them. All the ups and downs they had and even when I wanted to kill FOCUS for being a pri*k I couldn't help but hold out hope that he'd finally get his head out of his a**. Nixx calls him out at every turn and it seems she may even have an ally of sorts in Crucifix. This book left me completely exhausted, torn apart and by the end all put back together. What a FABULOUS read!!!!!

This book, like Heavy’s book( prez of Washington Royal Bastards MC, which also appears on this book) is focused in the porn industry.
F.O.C.U.S. meets Nixx in a dinner where she works and for weeks he dazzles her until he convinces her to got for a test run at his bar. There she will start waitressing, to dance naked and give his client a little extra...
Nixx has always have a high sexual drive but her ex-boyfriend Luke convinced that she was a degenerate. F.O.C.U.S. brings out her wildest side again, he fucks her all the time at the bar without knowing that she is being recorded and then uploaded to the internet.
The day comes when she gets the big test( Goldie Locks) where 7 men including F.O.C.U.S. fuck her in all posible ways and positions and she ❤️❤️❤️it. They decided to make her their pornstar for the movie they want to shoot in LA. Along the way they make several stops where she makes performances and where she ends up meeting Heavy, with whom has a 🔥🔥encounter. During all this time her relationship with F.O.C.U.S. is one of high and lows. She is love with him but she loves being fuck by others. He fucks other women, he wants to keep making money with Nixx but he also gets all jealous and territorial with her if she enjoys her work too much. 🤯🤯
It has been an ok read but for me it is not the best of the series.

I'm working my way through all the Royal Bastards MC series' (multiple authors). so I am trying all these new authors books. this was first book I read from BB Blaque. didn't like characters at all. It takes a lot for me to not like a book or characters. I forced myself to read half of it and just couldn't do it anymore. I skipped to the end just to see if she redeemed them at all, nope not at all for me. I rarely quit a book without ending it, its just not in my nature to leave things unfinished!
I will say had I taken the time to read description she did give a warning in it. she also assures the next book/characters are completely different. I will give it a chance but I have already moved on to another author so it will be a little while before I give it a chance.
I also want to say it really bothers me to leave a bad or mediocre review on someone else's hard work. the writing isn't bad and its not full of mistakes or anything like that. I simply don't like the characters or the story.
a huge turn off for me is a character who sleeps with other people after meeting/being intimate with their love interest. I also don't really want to read about them being with someone else before meeting that love interest. don't get me started on how he "turns her out" and her "nympho" ways. Gross just gross!!

from waitress to star for the MC

I purchased this book via Amazon and am leaving my review voluntarily. It is part of the Royal Bastards MC series. It can be read as a standalone but it does have characters from other books that make appearances.

Triggers: unprotected sex, multiple partner sex scene, prostitution, assault, drug use, non-con/graphic descriptions of sex

**spoilers**
This book is about Nixx, a seemingly shy waitress with secrets and FOCUS, a member of the Royal Bastards MC. The overall story is about how FOCUS and another MC member took bets on who could "convince" Nixx to work as a stripper/prostitute/porn star for the MC. The story of MC and FOCUS were really secondary.

Nixx clearly had feelings for FOCUS from the beginning where as he viewed her as a money making "hole" to be used for the benefit of the MC's bank account.

Not a traditional love story. There is verbal abuse, physical abuse and non-con sex (and I do not refer it as rape because Nixx is a very sexual women and likes being "forced") There is lots of sexy time.

Some drama. Eventually at almost the very end, we learn about FOCUS' past and he admits he loves Nixx and might not want to share her with other men.

I thought the author gave a realistic view of women who are brought into an MC.

This book is part of the Royal Bastards MC collection. Each book is written by a different author. This chapter takes place in New York City. They run girls. They have strip clubs, and do some internet streaming things. FOCUS finds Nixx at a diner one night. He can tell right away that he can use her and that she could earn them tons of money. I was iffy on this book. I love the story line but at the same time I wasn’t crazy about parts of it. I am all for a girl doing whatever. But, at parts Nixx seemed forced until she become comfortable with it and wanted to do it. She wasn’t just allowed to up and leave if she wanted. In the end she loved everything she was doing and wanted to do it. FOCUS is the one who ends up not being crazy about what she is doing. She brings out some feelings in him that he doesn’t want to acknowledge. He has to though or his moods will interfere with the club’s business and his Prez won’t allow that. This book is steamy to the max. It could have some triggers for some people. I really liked this book and can’t wait to read the next book in this collection. Great job B.B. Blaque.

I liked FOCUS when he was introduced in a previous book and he's actually not as rough as I expected. He's such a turn on rough!
There's nothing bad to say about Nixx, so I'll let those who read this have their own opinion☺☺☺
I bought a bottle of Fireball to enjoy this book now I'm thinking those Mounds Bars sound great! And tell me if I start drinking Jagerbombs will I get a Royal Bastard?

I found this story quite hard to take at times, Focus was so confusing and real nasty one minute then he would do sweet stuff. Nixx liked sex, even rough sex. This did not mean she was a whore or needed to be turned into more than that, she just needed to meet a likewise partner. It didn't make her a bad person or dirty. Having read the notes at the back of the book it did make the plot clearer and more understandable of where the author was coming from, so for that I'm glad. I for one do not like daddy references when it comes to sex, it makes me think of pedofiles and feel a bit queasy. Other than that I am fairly broad minded. Over all this is fairly gripping but not overly fast paced, there isn't really a whole lot to the plot it is mainly sex of one sort or other. Focus fighting any feelings other than ownership, is the underlying subject matter. I gave it a four because it was well written and did grip me for the most part but it wasn't a five for me.

Wow. Nixx and FOCUS are just amazing. I wasn't sure what to expect about going into this book. I've read the author's other MC books, and they are intense and often dark. So, I was ready for dark and intense. I got the intense but it wasn't nearly as dark as I thought it might be. And that's perfectly fine, because Nixx and FOCUS' story isn't horribly dark.

Don't get me wrong, it's not sweetness and light either, I mean, the subject matter isn't going to let it be, but there's a lot of humor and fun in there.

Nixx is just a breath of fresh air. She's got this fantastic spirit about her, and one that's hard to avoid. I think that FOCUS might've gotten in over his head with her. Which is funny, since I think it was supposed to be the other way around.

Fantastic story.

I absolutely loved this book.
Francis Patrick 'FOCUS' Flanagan is the Sgt. at Arms
for the Royal Bastards MC: NYC chapter and a pimp.
Nixx is a waitress at a diner he and Rattler come to eat at.
FOCUS gets her to come work at one of there clubs to be a waitress
or so she thinks. He has other ideas for her.
FOCUS kept me on my toes through this whole book.
He puts poor Nixx's through the ringer.
But she gave as good as she got back to him.
The chemistry between the 2 of them is off the charts.
I would definitely recommend this book to others who read this genre.
I voluntarily read and reviewed this book from an advanced reader copy.

So completely off track and yet so beautiful and fascinating, dark and hard - empathy and understanding was so completely out of my comprehension until finally the last page came and everything was finally good again. For me this is a very intertwined and also devouring story, incredibly tricky composed and therefore so overwhelmingly great, because different! Chapeaux!!!

I can't say it's something you have to read, BUT something you should read in consideration of trigger warnings and if it's just to broaden your horizon and get a different perspective. Not for the tender souls, you should be able to deal with dirt and harshness.

I'm stunned!

I love the series and the different author's storylines, but I just couldn't get into this one. Maybe I'm so used to the bad boy & his queen starting to fall for each other early on. I just didn't understand how Nixx could work & love the way FOCUS & his brothers handled her. Is it true that there are women out there that succumb to this type of thing & enjoy it? I suppose my saving grace was by the end FOCUS & Nixx finally committed to one another. I still love the author's other works. Good job, because the characters were so strong that it made me want to smack FOCUS & tell him to get his girl & only HIS girl!!

This book was absolutely incredible! I laughed, swooned (just a little), and wanted to throw my kindle more than once, that's when you know you're reading a darn great book! Focus is hard, cocky, and an a**, but he met his match when it came to Nixx. I loved the relationship and chemistry between them and their journey kept me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. The thrill that this book gives you is addictive and it's definitely going to blow your mind! It's an intense, what the hell did I read kinda book, and utterly fantastic! A definite 5 STAR read!

Nympho Nixx turns heads

FOCUS and Nixx's story totally had me on edge. Wondering if or when FOCUS was finally going to give into his feelings. His passion. This was a new plot within the Royal Bastard's MC saga. Porn has been mentioned before but Nixx takes it to another level. Had me going, "Go girl!" Too many times. Then there were those moments where I was scared for Nixx because of her love for the almighty c&$#, I was weary on how FOCUS would react. Totally an amazing addition to the Royal Bastard's MC saga.

Found a new Author today, and I actually enjoyed the book. It's part of the Royal Bastards MC. I've been hearing a lot about these Chapters of the MC because K.L. Savage is coming out with their own set of them, with Thrasher. Well I decided to take a read, and honestly, it kept me reading, just because it was so twisted and messed up and they weren't perfect and it was real for my imagination. So if you get a chance, try reading Rotten Apple by B.B. Blaque. It was good, and the Characters Nixx and FOCUS was amazingly put together, even as sick and twisted as they are. I loved them.

Not sure how to rate this book, probably 2.5 stars. That is not because of the content, any MC/gang/cartel in the flesh trade treat the women they take as no more than commodities and although some people have expressed a dislike of physical violence against women in this book, that is pretty true to life. What I actually had a problem with was the writing and delivery, it was all over the place I'm afraid. It wasn't completely awful, however it wasn't good, I just hope that the author's I normally follow have better books in this series.
