As she tries to settle into a new life in a new land, she crosses paths with a brooding and self-loathing Caelin. They are both wounded souls, but Daemiana ignites in him a fiery passion for her and her quest, though she has vowed to never again let a man into her heart. It devolves into a lusty love/hate affair as he tries to help her find the cure she seeks, but she knows she will only devour him, so she refuses to get too attached, knowing that his days are numbered if he remains with her due to her accurst fix. Yet, he manages to survive nights with Daemiana when her dark side comes out using his survivalist skills, albeit the feat growing increasingly near-impossible with each passing night. And when both cults close in on them, they viciously fight for one another, bent on seeing their plight through to the end. But ultimately, will their complex and unlikely love be strong enough to survive their first full moon together — as both cults mount their final attacks? Or will Daemiana and Caelin end up destroying one another like Daemiana fears as she becomes full monster and he descends into the most violent depths of classical masculinity? It all culminates in a most shocking climax and satisfying twist ending in this suspenseful, horror-thriller reinvention of lycanthropy mythology in which nature itself poses a central role; all intertwined with escalating elements of dark fantasy, action-adventure, and paranormal romance.

Caelin has always been considered weak, bullied by peers and pitied by adults. When he and his father are attacked by bears, he is saved by a mysterious woman in a crimson cloak. Daemiana distrusts men, but she impulsively risks her own to save Caelin. As both the church's Inquisitors and her former Coven hunt her down, Caelin is determined to keep her safe and find a cure for her pact no matter the danger to him. As his feelings for her grow, will he find that his love for her makes him weak or stronger than he could ever imagine?
This was a random buy for me. I loved the title and wanted something dark and out of the ordinary. I definitely got it! This is a werewolf tale like no other. It has traditional aspects like the wolves can be hurt by silver and are uncontrollable during the full moon. Yet that's where everything else falls away. Daemiana is the feral darling, and I've never read a character more suited to such a title. She's in love with nature even though her dark nature makes her enemy of Mother Nature. She wants to be cured and sees that maybe the answer will lie with a remarkable young man in Caelin. Their relationship is chaos in its love/hate dynamic. It can be sweet but then incredibly toxic and awful. This story isn't for the light-hearted. It's very dark and gory, and reaches into levels of horror that are more than just the monsters stalking you at night.

A twisted, enthralling novel
I love reading romantic novels with touches of drama and I chose "Feral Darling" which turned out to have some horror, as well. I loved it! It´s an interesting and twisted novel written by Ed Diamante.
In this story, the protagonist possesses a wounded soul because of an old unrequited love who has broken her heart. Due to that awful experience, she is determined to avoid falling in love but not everything is simple.
I dare say that my curiosity increased with the smart use of dilemmas throughout the pages and the way they are described. I liked the author´s writing style since the narrative structure is simple, letting me follow every twist in the story. So, without a doubt, I recommend it.

this book is bit of a departure from the normal creature feature ie .creature is female, not gonna tell you what kind but you will find out after 1/3 of book is read. knocked off one star because of the fact that the author just seemed to throw everything that came to mind in and tried to tie it all together. such as, female creature, domineering father, wimpy son, crazy bears, female lead that runs around naked, mountain climbing, zealot slayers from the church trying to kill female lead, constant preaching from one man, manly hermit, Avalanche, coven of creatures also trying to kill lead, wimpy kid and lead love interest and brief sex, hunting orcas, wimpy kit finally gets a set of balls, much more blood and gore, ends with sex. what more could you want.

FERAL DARLING is an exceptionally compelling horror drama that has kept me up quite a few nights.
The narrative is thought-provoking, and, at times, terrifying, showcasing Daemiana as a powerful main character.
The true highlight of the tale is how wounded sounds sometimes bump into each other and change realities and lives.
Ed Diamante has placed his cards very well here, he crafted incredible characters and he has used the weird and the uncanny in a skilful manner.
This book is excellent and it delivers the kind of bravura necessary for a kind of story like this. I loved it; its climax and final twist are just amazing!

Feral Darling is a romantic story, and one that is very special because it is out of the ordinary. It narrates the lives and relationship of two people with difficult pasts. They have a stormy relationship, very complicated and unusual, where love and hate are always present. The plot has some surprising twists and turns which captivated me. It is a very original story.
I felt nervous and tense, and it made me reflect upon my own relationships. It is a very well written novel with excellent characters; they're well drawn and defined within the story. Drama, romance and even suspense have a part to play in this wonderful fiction story.

A good novel!
“Feral Darling” is a fantasy novel that tells the incredible story of a woman.
Written by Ed Diamante, the fantasy starts as a typical romantic story where the two most wounded souls meet and swear not to fall in love again. Of course, they do fall in love but while doing so, the twists and turns of the story become intriguing and unexpected. This is what made me keep on reading non-stop for a week or so.
Although the story starts a little bit predictable, I give it four stars because of the unforeseen ending. I recommend this reader for fiction lovers.

This book blends many interesting topics and genres. It is enjoyable from beginning to end. Just by reading the title I got an idea of this: FERAL DARLING: A Love/Hate Horror Romance Novel. Author Ed Diamante did something different, out of the ordinary and I really like that.
Dialogues were well constructed and hooked me even more in the plot. Characters are also a good thing to point out; well developed and believable, they are interesting and intriguing too.
I recommend this novel because it is unique and for this, it deserves five stars.

FERAL DARLING by Ed Diamante has a bit of everything and this mix is what makes this book a very good one. There’s horror, fantasy and romance with surprising twists that got me reading at the edge of my sofa.
The setting is very nicely described and this helps make a mental picture while reading. Moreover, the characters are well developed and very interesting. It is a book that has no waste. I read it with all my attention from beginning to end. I would definitely recommend reading it because I believe it has something for every reader!

DNF- The writing definitely wasn't for me. Felt like the author was trying too hard.
