Connecticut's Seaside Ghosts

Rate this book
Tour Connecticut's most fascinating seaside hauntings. Nearly 400 years of spirited tales are covered, from the ghostly legacy of colonial witchcraft trials to cursed pirate gold, from spectral voices at haunted battlefields to ghost ships that sail stormy skies. Visit the cursed gravesite of Midnight Mary in New Haven's Evergreen Cemetery, who is said to have been buried alive, and shadow folk who silently flit among the ruins of Bridgeport's old Remington Arms Factory. Meet Ernie, the ghostly lighthouse keeper of New London's Ledge Light, and read about the Bridgeport Poltergeist that shocked the nation and inspired a major motion picture. There are ghost ships, treasure, and much more to entice you along the haunted seaside of Connecticut, but be prepared to be chilled.

Great read! Author has well researched the tales in this book and personally visited the sites of the ghost stories. The evaluations made into the encounters were made without hype and a healthy dose of skepticism but does reveal some cool encounters. I hope the author updates his encounters and look forward to further writing.

Interesting stories and I enjoyed it especially since several of the stories were of places in my home town.

Well written. Interesting stories but I am still not a believer in ghosts.

I will say this is a very interesting book. It is actually something I like when I read about haunted locations, the facts more than lore. The reason for the four star is some of the information was not completely correct, but that is a personal issue. Overall a good read for those who like reading about hauntings.
