Wendy Hix has one thing in mind—be the best at barrel racing so she can convince her dad to let her participate in more rodeo events. And even hunky Trevor Mayhew can't get in her way.
Trevor loves nothing more than the rodeo, so when he's offered the chance to go on the pro circuit with Stephen Hix and his daughter, Wendy, he jumps at the chance.
Sparks fly between Trevor and Wendy as they travel with the circuit, but Trevor's attempts to get past Wendy's protective wall is proving to be trickier than he thought. Can he convince her that life is more enjoyable when sharing it with others, or will he be left to pick up the pieces of his broken heart?
Jaclyn is an Idaho farm girl who grew up loving to read. She developed a love for writing as a senior in high school, when her dad jokingly said she was the next Dr. Seuss (not even close, but very sweet). She met her husband, Steve, at BYU, and they have six happy, crazy children who encourage her to keep writing. After owning a bookstore and running away to have adventures in Australia, they settled back down in their home in Utah. Jaclyn now spends her days herding her kids to various activities and trying to remember what she was supposed to do next.
Meyhews honor one another and Trevor is a man of honor but when he's injured on tbd rodeo circuit can he bid his time or will he become is own worst enemy and destroy not only his ankle but his chances with Wendy.
The Mayhews have been an interesting family. I love rodeos and cowboys so this book was perfect for me. Jaclyn Hardy continues with the humor, romance and twists of the rest of her books. It is fun to watch Trevor and Wendy dance around falling in love.
