The extra cash will help me secure a down payment on the perfect location for my new business.

He doesn’t look like a CEO or act like a CEO, and he doesn’t treat me like he’s the CEO. And when I accompany him on a business trip, he shows me what it would be like to be more than his assistant.

But playing pretend outside of the office can’t last forever. In the real world, he’ll never see me as his equal, and unfortunately, neither will I.

He really isn’t just another billionaire. Seth is a great guy.

Tessa needs a little extra cash before she starts her own business. She doesn’t like privileged people but sees a way to make ends meet. Seth isn’t just a rich guy. Actually he’s quite lovely.

Can Tessa see past the job and money? Could romance blossom.

Great book. 5 fabulous stars.

RL Kenderson Not Another Romance bk 02 Not Another Billionaire

I didn't want to put this down. From minute one that he entered the scene, I loved Seth Crawford. He's honest, humble, and trips over his tongue a few times. Then, there are the times that his jealousy makes him a mercurial caveman. 🤣🤣🤣

“Did you happen to look at any images during your Google search?”
-- Seth Crawford

The fact that Tessa Archer didn't combust from embarrassment when they first met showed she has some mettle. It definitely gets challenged a time or four.

I was disappointed by both of them for a little while, but when Seth goes about rectifying a situation, there's no half measure! For that, I'll forgive them both their transgressions. 😉

I listened to the audio book and read along. The narrators are Samantha Brentmoor and Robert Hatchet, both of whom I've listened to and enjoyed before. This time was no exception! Duet narration is the only thing that could make it better.

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review.

Not Another Billinaire had a good plot but I felt it was poorly done.

There were only two characters. Actually, there were a bunch of characters, but only the two main characters (oh, and I guess one friend, so make that three characters) had a little definition.

Tessa had an enormous group of best friends but we only see them through text messages and hanging out a couple of times at a bar. In the beginning, I thought she had only four best friends, but suddenly I'm reading all these different names in their group thread or when she goes out and I was surprised by how large the group was. Maybe it's because I didn't read the first one, but I didn't know a lot of the history. There was some drama between a friend and some guy that will appear later to fill out the series, but I had no clue what was going on.

The romance had zero buildups. It went from 0-100 almost immediately and it was not working for me. There was no hesitation whatsoever except for maybe one time for Seth to be able to say he had 'self-control', and then that control immediately vanished. (Also, their speech changed drastically multiple times, and I just wanted to shake them so they would stick with one form of language. They would make up random names for sex or genitals and then they would go overboard with dirty talk and then back to the weird names. Pick one, and then flesh it out. Make one better instead of throwing various things into the book to appeal to more people, or whatever.)

Tessa was mostly well-developed, I thought she was annoying a few times, and she kept thinking Seth was mad at her because he was lost in thought and wouldn't talk to her for a few minutes. And she would freak out all the time that she was about to be fired. Her backstory was the best part of her - as sad as it was, it was written well and the way she kept reacting to it was very good.

Seth was not well-developed. He was just kind of there. We know absolutely nothing about him, and he doesn't tell Tessa anything, either. He has good views and donates to various charities to add some depth, but he's so 2-dimensional it's almost laughable. Let me also add that he wanted to make it very clear he was not a billionaire but a millionaire, and that's a big difference and means he doesn't actually have that much money. I'm not even kidding, too, that was a legitimate conversation they had. And I wanted to know more about his business, too. Honestly, everything about the world was lacking in details except for Tessa.

I was pretty annoyed by this book. There was a significant lack of characters and the dialogue was choppy and all over the place, and I was looking for a plot and I couldn't find it anywhere.

You’ve been driving me crazy since the moment you walked up to me and demanded who I was."- Seth

An office romance with a lot of laughs and surprises, this is book 2 in The Not Another Romance series and is somehow even better than the first, which I absolutely loved!

Tessa (Bree's friend/Zack's sister from Not Another Manwhore) takes a temp job for CEO Seth Crawford. Talk about a meet-cute! Despite her mistrust against people with money, Tessa can't help but be attracted to him. And who can blame her? He's gorgeous, hard working and a genuinely nice guy. Plus he LOVES lemon cupcakes 😉

Seth and Tessa are so panty-melting hot together, it's a good thing you can't get pregnant just from reading! It's also a perfect example of how important talking is in a relationship, not just physical chemistry.

Some parts had me frustrated, others had me laughing out loud. Another sensational contemporary romance from this duo.

This is book 2 in the Not another Romance series by R.L.Kenderson, and I think I liked it more than the first book. The members of the Man haters club (well it's not actually called that but the name is so long I can't remember it right...lol)..well this is Tessa's story and what a great story it is.
This is a workplace romance. Tessa needs money so she can open up a bakery with her friend so when a job at an advertising agency for 3 months comes up...she goes for it as the pay is amazing. The only problem is that it is owned by a Billionaire and she has a huge problem with Billionaires.
After a really bad experience in private school where all the rich kids bullied the poor kid she often gets nightmares about those days and the things they put her through....so she does not like people with millions to splash about. She gets the job and her first day is interesting as the first encounter with her new boss she mistakes him for a delivery guy. Honestly Tessa is hilarious, she just says and does things that are just embarrassing but funny. She keeps thinking she is going to get fired every 5 minutes. I LOVE her. But Seth is not like your average A-hole boss that you usually read about in romance books. He is charming, funny, sweet and understanding. He is also so swoony.
I think this catches Tessa off guard and overwhelms her because she is used to rich guys being nasty and spiteful. Seth and Tessa have huge amounts of chemistry and it is obvious they are attracted to one another. So when a 6 day business trip has them flying away for a business deal, it changes their working relationship forever. I will just say they have to stay in the same room and you can imagine what happens next...
I loved the sexual tension between them and when Seth gets all pissed off because he wants her so much we see the possessive side of his easy going nature. But when a situation gets misunderstood Tessa acts impulsively and the relationship is over before it can get started and she is left with a surprise. I really loved listening to this audiobook. The narration is like the first book with Samantha Brentmoor and Robert Hatchett taking the stage again. They are both Phenomenal and very easy to listen to, I Love their story telling, they are both very talented and brilliant.
This book was thoroughly entertaining and it charmed me from the start until the end. I am loving R.L.Kenderson's humor and writing style, it has the perfect balance of sweetness, sexiness and romance...I am looking forward to book 3. A Marvelous audiobook. 5 Stars.- Cat W.

Disclaimer: **I received this book free from Hidden Gems in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.**

I was frustrated by Not Another Billionaire, not because of what it was, or even what it wasn’t, but what it could have been.

This story had good bones. We have our heroine, Tessa, who hates rich people because she was tortured for being poor in the private school where her dad was a janitor (and therefore she had free tuition). She and her bestie want to open a bakery, but bestie’s ex-husband is dragging his feet on selling their marital home, so money is tight. Tessa takes a 12-week temp job as the well-paid admin to an advertising CEO, Seth, and it quickly becomes more than that for them both.

With a little work, this could have been a NY Times Bestseller. It could have made it onto one of those “unputdownable beach reads” lists that folks like People Magazine or Cosmo publish.

But for that to have happened, the book would have required more care. The relationship started so quickly between the leads, that there was no warm up beyond a few pages of pretty stilted, awkward dialogue. Romance is a genre that is full of tropes, and the ‘billionaire boss’ is one of the more popular. But for this to work, you need a slow build. You need to see them become grudgingly friendly before they are jumping into bed and proclaiming their love.

You also need a more fully fleshed-out supporting cast. Tessa has SEVEN best friends, and we only really get to see one of them as an actual person, beyond generic banter at a bar. I wonder, since this is a series, if we are getting one book per girl, but nothing on the author’s website bears that out, and even if that is the case, not fleshing them out as actual humans in this book, as opposed to the cardboard cutouts that they are, does nothing to entice anyone to read any other books featuring them.

The things I liked were that Tessa was feisty, and unwilling to give up on her dreams…and also unwilling to take money from her brand-new boyfriend. I also liked that Seth was occasionally very funny.

But in the end, it just didn’t feel…real to me. It felt like a slightly cleaned up soft-core movie, you know, the kind involving a refrigerator repairman, clunky dialogue and all. It wasn’t a bad book. But 70 more pages, better dialogue and some real heart and it could have been something magical.

“He’s my boss.” My boss, who had just licked the frosting on the cupcake like it was a pussy and circled the lemon candy on top like it was a clit before sucking it between his lips. The tingling between my legs was unnecessary and way out of line. I absolutely could not be thinking about Seth like that.

🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁

These books are short and sweet but that doesn’t do them justice. The MMC is damn near perfect. #teamsethcrawford & Tessa is great. (The overuse of ‘rich’ was close to getting on my nerves) Honestly- all the characters and plots have been refreshing to read. I enjoy stepping into this world.

They definitely started out as my ‘in-between-deeper-shit’ novels, but truly they are a pleasant surprise. 🧁🧁🧁

Well written. Crafty and clever.

This was an okay read. I will admit that Tessa is the reason this didn't work for me. She was so annoying. I did like Seth and of course thought he could do better. However, they go their happy ending and that was good for everyone.

This is book two in the Not Another Romance Series by RL Kenderson and I am really enjoying this series so far. RL is a new to me author, I am so glad I took a chance!

This is Tessa’s story and she needs some fast cash because she wants to open up a bakery with her friend, so when she sees a job at an advertising agency pops up and its amazing pay, she goes for it, but there is a downside.. the boss/owner is a billionaire and she has a huge “thing” to do with billionaires… Even though she has a problem with them, she ends up taking the job. As you read the book you will see why she has a problem with people with money… Tessa is awkward and funny throughout this book. I couldn’t stop laughing!

I couldn’t help but fall in love with Seth too! (The billionaire boss) he’s not your typical alpha hole boss. He has a kind and charming side. He’s understanding and sweet… he may be those things but he is also possessive and protective and a little jealous at times… and it was damn hot! I couldn’t help but swoon so hard for this man!

The chemistry and the connection that grows between Seth and Tessa throughout this book is addictive and all-consuming. You can clearly tell that they are meant to be together. The sexual tension is high and when they have to go on a business trip together they end up sharing the same room… I’m sure you can join the dots on what happens *Wink wink*

I absolutely loved this book. I devoured it in one day! I cannot recommend it enough. Read. This. Book. You won’t be disappointed!

5 STARS!

I received a copy from Hidden Gems; this is my honest review
-I'm not a fan of Tessa. I just couldn't take her. She's just plain dumb. She has such low expectations from the "rich & famous" that it's embarrassing.
-Seth is a great guy, brother, uncle and boss. He's aware of what's going on around him and acts upon it. He protects those he love even that other person seems "strong" but in reality is not.
-The friends made a bit thing out of her working for a billionaire - not really, he's just a millionaire. How crazy is that? Anyone owing a business would have money, so who do YOU think you work for then?
-Guards don't know you're there only temporarily and didn't need the additional info Tessa gave out. Tessa thinks "how many people do I have to go through?" Well, did you think no one would welcome you at the entrance of an office? When Colleen and Rhonda said it's been an awful two weeks it's only because they've been doing someone else's job plus their own. Why think something's wrong with the boss? Get out your guttered mind for once.
-At least five times Tessa thought she would be fired. It was getting old fast. She was a victim forgetting to answer his phone (they were in his office doing business stuff), for him not wanting to pick her up (when he clearly said he wanted to), for not talking to her (he was in his head thinking), she had messed up her job (not this again), etc. I kept saying to myself "just shut up".
-Heads-up to anyone who would think so: Not explaining personal trauma because you just don't want to live it again doesn't make you not love those around you.
-Winning points: 1. When Seth licked the lemon cupcake in every detail possible. 2. Pru and Sebastian better have their story soon - they are hilarious together.
-PS A 6'1" guy doesn't fit in a Queen bed.

Well he didn't look like the CEO...

Not Another Billionaire is the second book in the Not Another Romance series. This is a funny office romance story about Tessa Archer and Seth Crawford. She has a business plan for starting her own company but all she needs is the money now. Seth is the CEO of the Bradford Group. Tessa gets a temporary gig as Mr. Crawford's assistant a the Bradford Group on Monday morning. After arriving she gets herself settled a bit and waits to meet Mr. Crawford, as his office door is closed. That is when a younger man appears looking more like a messenger and wanting to get into the office. But being a good assistant, and not wanting to get fired on her first day, she blocks him and that sets off funny exchange, as it is Seth trying to get into his own office. Well that could have gone better but they both make the best of an entertaining beginning. Things seem to mess up more than a few times putting these two into witty and funny exchanges and situations with a lot of sexual chemistry zinging around.

This is an engaging and entertaining story with characters that are nicely defined and likeable. The story-line was well paced and I liked the banter between them which has a great sexy edge to it. I am looking forward to reading the next in this series.

I received a copy of this book and am leaving my honest review. My opinions are all my own.

Light but Shallow

This story was very predictable, and not in a fun, "YAY,I KNEW IT!" kind of way - more like a, "Oh, no surprises here, yawn." I will say that there was a bit of sweetness to it. However, it seemed like the author's couldn't decide whether to write a contemporary romance or an erotic romance, and those two genres really don't match up seamlessly. The sex scenes seemed forced into the story, and that felt awkward.
There were also plot points that seemed to be inserted only so the authors could score points for being "woke," and those felt extraneous.
Overall, a decent way to spend a couple of hours, but not enough of a draw to make me want to read more of the series.

I rate this book 3.5 stars.

I liked this story but took a while to get into it. Tessa just drove me crazy and to be honest, I really didn’t like her too much as a main character as she did get better and a little less annoying. Seth was a great main character though I wish we knew a bit more about him. The chemistry between these two was sizzling, and the passion between them just launched them into a quick relationship with not a lot of build-up.

I received a free advanced reader copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving my fair and honest review.

Good romantic comedy
I really liked the character of Tessa, who hates rich men, according to her and because of her past, although I found that it didn't necessarily show much through the story.
The story is rather cute, hot, tender, a little predictable, but it makes you smile.

I think that this one had tons of potential, but Tessa was a tough pill to swallow. I can like stories that have no conflict but this one needed some anger from Seth. Her assumptions at the end and then running off without telling him she was pregnant was too much for me. If he wouldn’t have shown up at the grand opening, who knows if she ever would have told him about the baby.

Not Another Billionaire is a contemporary romance featuring Tessa Archer and Seth Crawford. It is the second book in the Not Another Romance series, but can be appreciated as a standalone story.

Alexis, Bree, Elizabeth, Isabel, Paisley, Pru and Tessa have been friends since high school. Not too long ago they started a club called the United She Woman Single Ladies With Our Vibrators So We Never Have Another Bad Date Or Experience Romance Again Because Men Suck Club. Each of the stories in this series appears to be how one of their members unexpectedly finds love again.

Alexis and Tessa have been planning to open a business together - a bakery and café. The only problem is that Tessa is still waiting for money from her ex-husband. He is supposed to be selling their former home and splitting the funds, but he continues to delay. Tessa, having already given notice at her job, decides to seek out temp work and accepts a position as an assistant to the CEO for a 12 week period. She will be working at The Bradford Group for Seth, the CEO, founder and owner of the company.

Tessa has a rocky first day when she stops Seth from entering his own office unaware of who he was. He made her squirm a little, but in the end the two develop a great working relationship. Both Tessa and Eva do a pretty good job of ignoring (or not acting upon) their attraction to the other, until Seth needs Tessa to accompany him on a one week trip out of town. In her haste to make the arrangements, Tessa neglects to book herself a hotel room. Fortunately, Seth is staying in a suite and it just so happens there's a spare bedroom.

One night, Tessa opts to head to the hotel bar to give Seth some space. He can't stop thinking about her and when he heads down to locate her, the possessive alpha male emerges. What comes next is a lot of fun spice! Did I mention spice? Yeah, these two definitely share some fun horizontal mamba times. There was a very interesting conference call.

I particularly enjoyed the lemon cupcakes' frosting as well as the aforementioned conference call. I'll also note that the line that read something like, "He pounded into me so hard he rearranged my cervix." had me almost snorting.

I enjoyed this audiobook. It took me a moment to get past the fact that the same voice actors are used so I had to separate them from their prior characters, but that didn't take long. Samantha Brentmoor and Robert Hatchet did a fantastic job bringing Tessa and Seth to life. It is vert easy to listen to them, and I love the way they each adjust their voices to portray the opposite sex.

I need to run now. Paisley's story (Not Another One-Night Stand) awaits!

**Double review. For audible AND book**

What to expect:
📌 Standalone
📌 Spicy Rom Com
📌 Office Romance
📌 Forced Prox
📌 HEA

Narrated by Samantha Brentmoor and Robert Hatchet.

🔊 For the audible: I really enjoy this pair. I normally find it hard to listen to audible books. Mostly because they don't hold my attention and I end up zoning out and not paying attention. Ultimately missing half of the story. But this pair holds my attention. They deliver an amazing performance telling this story. During female read dialogue, Samantha "plays" the male characters, and the same for male read dialogue for Robert. I thought the switch would be off putting, but again, they do their respective parts very well.

📚 For the story: I found myself again lost in this story. I literally let the audible play from start to finish. I loved the banter between Tessa and Seth. This is now the second book I have read by this author. I'm finding myself wanting to find more and more. Already moving on to the next in this series.

In this book, we have Tessa. We met her in the first book as a background character. Now we get to see more of her and follow her love life. See if she'll still be part of the woman's version of the He Man Woman Hater's Club (the book ref the movie, I'm not that witty lol). She is currently in limbo. She quit her job to open the bakery with Alexis. But that is moving a little more slowly than expected. So she reaches out to a temp agency. And that is how she lands in Seth's office.

Seth runs his own advertising company. When this "new" temp assistance shows up, he finds himself instantly attracted to her. But he can keep it professional...right? Things seem to be going well. Seth has a to take a trip to CA and has Tessa book the flight/hotel. Only when they get to the hotel, Tessa only booked ONE room. She had been multitasking and after Seth's room was booked completely forgot to book one for herself. Now the two of them are sharing a suite, that luckily has two bedrooms.

Things seem to be slowly heating up, but really start to sizzle when Seth sees Tessa in the hotel bar with another guy. All restraint he was showing snaps. The rest of the week turns into more than they expected. Everything seems to be going exceptionally well, even after they returned home. But then Seth's assistant comes back early. After a brief conversation, Tessa finds runs from the office building with intentions to never see Seth or that office again.

I found myself lost in this story and hanging on until the end. It was amazing. The author has a way of drawing you in and falling in love with these characters.

I highly recommend it. It's such a fun read!

R.L. Kenderson, ‘Not Another Billionaire’.
Not Another Romance Novel.

As an Hidden Gems ARC reader I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily wrote an honest review. Here it is.

Rating: 3,5 (of 5 stars).

In general: From enemies to lovers.

Main characters:
- Tessa Archer (28).
Together with one of her best friends, Alexis, she wants to start her own bakery and cafe. Only they have not enough money saved to start the firm, so Tessa accepts a job as the temporally assistent of a very wealthy CEO of a advertisement company. Her friends are concerned about this temp job for they know that Tessa at her high school was bullied by nasty rich kids. So she’s a bit traumatized by rich people.

- Seth Crawford (36).
CEO, owner and founder of the Bradford Group, the largest advertisement agency in the Midwest. He needs a temporally assistent for his personal secretary is on maternity leave.

Tessa and Seth meet at the first day of her new job. From the start there’s a physical attraction but their cooperation is initially a bit difficult.
The author, R.L. Kenderson, then describes in a fairly predictable plot how step by step Tessa and her boss overcome the mistrust both had at first. It’s a typical ‘from enemies to lovers’ story with some funny misunderstandings, a sassy heroine and a a boss who not always understands the feelings of a woman. So an easy to read, nice office romance.

Not Another Billionaire: An Office Romance
Not Another Romance
By: R.L. Kenderson
Narrated by: Samantha Brentmoor, Robert Hatchet

Love, love , love this series! This is the second book, and while part of the series, it definitely can stand alone. Tessa and Alexis want to open a coffee shop with baked goods, and now are just getting close to the ability to do it. Tessa has given up her job, and now with a slight delay is taking a temporary job as the assistant to Seth. Yes, he is gorgeous, and rich, but he's not the typical rich, arrogant man. Tessa is a bit flustered in the beginning, but finds her footing and the two work really well together. But that doesn't mean they should act on an attraction, does it? They just can't help it, but where will it all lead? This book flows with ease, keeping the story easy and entertaining. I love the crossover characters as Zach, Tessa's brother pops in with his girlfriend. I am falling in love with each of these and cannot wait to grab book 3!

Samantha Brentmoor and Robert Hatchet continue their narration of this series and they are on fire! I love this team, their voices complimenting each other, and the emotional feel from scene to scene is constant. Brentmoor gives Tessa a confidence that is truly wonderful, as she blossoms with Seth. Seth has incredible charm and Hatchet brings it to the forefront. I loved this listen and their performance.

Good time for sure; it was funny, the banter was cute, the spice was good.

On the discreet cover under the title it' says "A spicy romantic comedy" and on the last word there's a single 🌶️ and for some reason I really enjoyed that. It told me exactly what I was getting and even what spice level to expect even if that wasn't the goal it's what made me click on it and it definitely delivered.

I didn't realize it was the second book so I plan to go back to start book 1. I think these books are meant to be standalone but interconnected because it's the same group of friends. While listening (BTW I listened to the book) I got the sense I was missing something while she was talking about her friend group but it wasn't enough to make me stop to check the book order.

So I did listen to the audiobook

Samantha Brentmore It is one of my favorite narrators. She has a great narration style easy to listen to and her male voice is perfection in my opinion.
Robert hatchet is great too, his voice is so bland but not in a bad way if you listen to his voice in another book you would believe he's that character. For example, now anytime I hear Teddy Hamilton I think of Zade and it takes effort to block it out. Robert hatchet is not that way. I can hear his voice in many books and not have it overlap.

I will probably end up listening to the whole series. maybe not all at once but it's on my TBR.

Happy reading or listening!

Not Another Billionaire is a sweet and funny office romantic comedy. Book #2 in the Not Another Romance series by R.L. Kenderson, this story had some great banter, swoony moments and steamy scenes.
This book is about Tessa and Seth. Tessa is short on capital to open up a business with her friend. When an opportunity to temporarily work for a billionaire arises, she's hesitant to take the job, but the pay is too good to refuse as it will help her get that much closer to opening her business. Having done little to no research about her new boss, she's embarrassed when she mistakes Seth as a client instead of her boss. Normally she can't stand rich and pretentious people, but the more she's around Seth, the more she finds herself becoming attracted to him.
Seth is not your average CEO. Yes he's driven, hardworking and passionate about his company and cares about his employees. His new PA Tessa is a breath of fresh air and he finds himself lusting after her. These two are trying to fight their attraction for one another. What happens when a week long business trip has these two in constant close quarters and proximity?
These was a great read with plenty of humor, fun banter and hot sparks.

My weekend read with wine was sooo damn worth it! Amen! Yaaaas Queen!

I have read countless assistant & boss romance novels. Sounds a little cliché I know. But hear me out...

Tessa, Tessa, Tessa! The definition of "set in my ways" would be Tessa. Now, I know a lot of us have been scarred for life by past traumas, but never did I figure a millionaire would be a traumatic experience. However, I understand our blue eyed beauty's concerns.

Mr. Crawford on the other hand. Talk about a smooth operator! From the very first moment he met Tessa, he has it out for her. Not in the bad kind of way... But in the hard kind of way. 12 weeks of working together should be a piece of cake right? Wrong! Business trips always lead to mind blowing things and being hypnotized - if you know what I mean😉

I don't wanna spoil it for you, but doesn't it go... "first comes love, then comes marriage... then comes the..." WHOOPS! But that's not all. Because it doesn't matter which order it comes in. So long as it comes and it sure does, multiple times😏 and with a little misunderstanding that gets cleared up.

What is love, if not a little complicated and messy, but still beautiful?

Not another? More like another happily bites the dust!
Not Another Billionaire: A Not Another Romance (Book 2) by R. L. Kenderson is an interesting office romance romance. The characters make this book interesting. Tessa is smart and witty as well as beautiful, all qualities Seth appreciates but tries to downplay because of their working environment. I really enjoyed Seth’s character. He is as humble as he is hot, while completely alpha and nearly downright possessive of Tessa.
The plot brings Tessa and Seth together, creates the impetus, the strike on flint to ignite what was simmering between them. Seth and Tessa grow ever closer, but yet much is not communicated between them.
Overall, this romance begins as casually but quickly becomes emotionally deep. Tessa may not have been looking for a love of a lifetime, but Seth has this and more for Tessa. Good intentions and deeds, along with a surprise make for a wonderful HEA.

I am voluntarily leaving this review. This was a great read. The story was well written, the characters were relatable and the drama/suspense was just right. I found my self laughing quite a bit throughout the book.

Tessa has a fear of wealth, but when she is in desperate need of cash, she finds herself at the mercy of a new job making her the assistant to a hunky wealthy man. Her life officially gets turned upside down from her first day at her new job. Seth finds himself face to face with his new assistant who turns his world upside down for the better. But he has to tread carefully when he starts realizing her insecurities or he just might lose her.

I would recommend this book. I wasn’t aware this was part of a series when I started this book, but it can be read as a standalone because it gives you just enough information from previous books that you won’t be confused, while giving you a little nudge to try and figure out what the next book will be about. I can’t wait to read more!

Tessa and her girls have a club, it's about not needing men in their lives, in fact they've all sworn off men for the time being. Tessa and her bestie are wanting to start up their own bakery, but are waiting for the money from a house sale to be able to have all the money for the down payment. Tessa takes a job at a temp agency to help her get more money toward their dream. The problem is that Tessa grew up being tormented by the rich kids she was stuck going to school with, as a poor girl, her father worked at the school free of charge. She hated it, but her older brother the jock fit right in, he was popular and loved the school. She grew to hate rich people with a passion. She got a temp job as a personal assistant to a billionaire.
The book was amazing and I can not wait to get into more by this author.

So here is the second book in this series and I loved it just as I did the first. Here we have Tessa who if you remember is Zack's sister. We do get her back story and why she does not care for the rich. She does have dreams and that is to open a cafe with her friend. Her dream must wait a little longer because they need to come up with more money. So she takes a temp job to become an assistant to a CEO. Now get ready for some laughs because there were moments that I was like blushing or cheesin' like a kid in a candy store. I loved how Seth was just enjoying her. She was different than all the other woman he meets. She does her job too. He can't help but notice her and he definitely likes what he sees. All it takes is one business trip that changes things for them. Is it enough to have Tessa thinking differently? Well it seems as though some wires get crossed and things are not looking good. Well can this relationship be salvaged. Check it out to find out how it all ends.

Tessa and Seth’s story is a sweet, funny and entertaining. Needing money to invest in starting a business with her friend, Tessa finds a temporary job that pays very well, though she is wary about taking it because the boss is a wealthy CEO. Having had poor experiences with wealthy people in the past has given her a negative view of the wealthy in general. She is pleasantly surprised to find that Seth is not spoiled, entitled or dismissive, but rather a hardworking, conscientious and dedicated boss. The banter between them is fun, a bit flirty and entertaining. Their attraction to each other begins to smoulder and burn though both try hard to hide it. A business trip with forced proximity soon turns everything up a notch. You will have to read this engaging book to see what happens next with this unexpected and fascinating couple.
