Rate this book
Following a global disaster, Trish Webber was born and raised for seventeen years inside a bunker controlled by the government. At the age of four, they executed her mother in front of her, leaving a scarred Trish in the care of a father incapable of love. Other than to control Trish’s life and keep her isolated from others, Dr. Frank Webber has nothing to do with the daughter he never wanted from a marriage forced on him by his superiors. Until he discovers what lies hidden in his daughter’s DNA.
Eighteen-year-old Christina Burgos was raised in a world full of suffering and pain. Born several months after the global genocide of over ten billion men, women, and children, Christina learned at a young age how to survive and help those in her walled in community. The worldwide devastation had come and gone, but what remained, the creatures that roamed the planet, would either kill you, or turn you into the infected like them.
Escaping the clutches of her father, Trish and Christina’s paths collide on a roller coaster ride for survival, where Trish learns the truth of what really happened to the people left on the planet and the role her father played in humanity’s downfall. A merciless father who will use any means necessary to find and capture his daughter.

Don't miss this post-apocalyptic tale of loyalty and survival in the midst of world-wide disaster!

Oh hell YEH! Guess who has two thumbs and found a sapphic apocalypse series to get into??? ME! I DID! And I'm SO freaking happy.

This book just grabbed my attention from the start, I didn't sleep 'cause I got so lost into the story of Trish and Christina. Coffman has written such an amazing main character in Trish and honestly, if there truly was an apocalypse, I want to be her. And Christina... wow, she's so fiesty and hot... just wow!

I found a new favourite author in Coffman, and I can't wait to see what else she has in store for us not only for The Alpha Evolution series, but for her other series too.

As someone who isn't usually into post-apocalyptic novels, I really enjoyed this one! Coffman is a wonderful storyteller with the ability to bring all her characters to life and make the reader fall in love with them. She is an author who really cares about her characters and this shines through. This book is smart and action packed with a little bit of sweet romance mixed in. I cannot wait to see what happens next in the series!

I've read this book over a hundred times! Some may call it the editing process, but I call it professional entertainment. I hope you enjoy.

I loved the story and the characters. If there is ever going to be an apocalypse, zombie in nature, yet different, this is the one I would choose to live through. As Trish of course. I hope I don't have to wait long for book two!!!

Wow! I love Coffman's version of an apocalyptic world. The power hungry are very hungry. The overpopulated planet is failing. The military is following orders, and an unaware daughter is trying to survive. I like the personal interaction that our MC Trish goes through. She grows from a sheltered teen trying to fit into the new society, to learning to care and maybe love. The military is well written and the zombies, not zombies are fierce. I recommend giving this book a try.

3.5 Stars for me.
This book was enough to fill the hole of apocalypse/world ending scenario for me. It was fleshed out and had an interesting premise behind it that differs from the nom. However I felt the relationships between characters was a little lacking and with a bit more fleshing out between them it would be a near perfect book for me.
