Have we met? No? Well it's time to end that tragedy.
I'm a former firefighter/EMS guy who's picked up the proverbial pen and started writing bad boy romance stories. I co-write with my sister, Ali Parker, but live in Texas with my wife, my two little boys, my daughter, two dogs, three cats, and a turtle.
Yep. A turtle. You read that right. Don't be jealous.
You're going to find Billionaires, Bad Boys, Military Guys and loads of sexiness.
Something for everyone, hopefully. I'd love to connect with you. Check out the links below and come find me.
Okay, so I knew this book was based around Christmas but y'all... I'm now so homesick for Christmas lol. This was such a cute book. It was like a Hallmark/Lifetime Christmas movie. Definitely worth a read <3
Another great read from Weston Parker. Love fake romance novels. Watching people fake being in love and slowly start to fall in love is one of my favorite tropes. There is just something about these types of romances that melt my heart. It proves that romance is real no matter how hard to try to ignore it. Loved Henry and Izzy. Their relationship may have been fake but their chemistry was not. Weston has yet again created a world and characters that you will fall in love with and want to visit again and again. You won’t be disappointed in picking this book up or any of Weston’s books.
Oh Henry! This man brought me to tears by the end of the book. Sure, he frustrated me at times, but I spent most of the story wanting to hug the stuffing out of him like some kind of a life-sized teddy bear. Izzy stole my heart too, just in a quieter way. I loved seeing her commitment to her family and her chosen career. Like a Christmas elf, she just made everything around her better with her presence. These two were perfect together, even when they weren’t. And that ending was utterly flawless. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.
Henry and Izzy will grab your heart and you won't be able to put this book down. Extremely well written and heartwarming. The characters are likable, well developed and so perfect for each other. Henry has some baggage from his childhood and shuns any permanent relationship while Izzy came from a loving and stable family. She's finishing up her medical cardiology training and is drowning in student loans. This leads to to an upscale escort agency that doesn't deal in the extra's. She is paired with Henry for twelve holiday dates to help him promote his hotel business and improve his image to investors. She is sweet but has some self confidence issues which he improves by showing her with gorgeous clothes and compliments. He's a workaholic who's determined not to fall in love but sparks fly when he meets Izzy. I read an advance copy via the author and voluntarily chose to write a review.
Wow! Henry & Izzy’s Christmas Fake Dating Romance Is A Perfect Holiday Read. With Mentions Of Hallmark & A Variety Of Christmas Celebrations, It Sets The Mood For The Season. Theirs Is A Feel-Good Read About Family & Tradition.
ABOUT FAUX LOVE NOVELS:
This book is a Faux Love novel. Faux’s is an exclusive escort agency run by Della Fontenot, whose intuition helps her successfully pair her clients with just the right girl (or guy) and distinguishes her from the competition. Her clients sometimes need arm candy, a date for business or social events, a just a little innocent companionship. All is above board and professional, with contracts and NDA’s. Sometimes, however, Della’s matchmaking abilities are so keen that business begins to blur with personal, and soon hearts are involved in the transaction.
The agency is first introduced in Fake Rich Witch, which is Eli and Raven’s feel-good Halloween romance. It is a lighthearted story about finding love amidst the Halloween season, full of haunted houses and fabulous costumes as well as scary moments and innocent fun.
Fake It Real Good is next in the Faux Love lineup. Aton and Ashley’s sweet yet heartbreaking story starts out much like a blind date, and although they try to keep the walls up, things have a way of getting personal as time goes by. The couple’s faux relationship romance is a story about family and sacrifice. IN THIS BOOK:
Henry Barlow, thirty-three, is ready to take his hotel business international. He operates three luxury, resort-style hotels that have flourished under his careful attention. With locations in New York, Chicago, and Aspen, he is a man on the go. His style is hands-on, and although he has a good management team in place now, it took time to get to this point. Now is the time to make a move, but Henry needs investors if he wants to strike fast. He has his eye on a particular property in southern France but is also considering potential locations in Germany, Italy, Japan, Canada.
As the holiday season begins and the social calendar fills, Henry needs to mingle with potential investors and sure up financing. According to Nicholas, his assistant of nearly ten years, there is a slight problem. Apparently, people find Henry cold and standoffish. He comes across as robotic and unfeeling. Rumors have long circulated regarding his very private life and apparent lack of dates. Nicholas, who has long suggested that Henry would benefit from the company of a woman, has a solution. He refers Henry to Faux’s, an exclusive escort agency, to set up a woman to accompany him to the twelve events on his calendar that take place over the course of three weeks, ending on Christmas Eve. According to Nicholas, who is the only person that really knows Henry, this should help to soften his young Scrooge image and assist in his efforts to sway potential investors, who often look at the person behind the proposal – not just the numbers.
Henry’s is a real rag to riches story. He entered the foster system at age eleven and went through eighteen homes before running away six months prior to aging out. He lived on the streets, but he took his hardship and turned it into a powerful motivation to succeed. He got a job at a hotel and earned his associate’s degree while working his way up the ladder. At age twenty-two, he bought his first hotel, and though it was a fixer-upper, it paved the path to the success he enjoys today. There is one problem with that, though. As Nicholas says, Henry lives for work. He hasn’t been with a woman in years and doesn’t take time off to enjoy his success. He has no social life, but he likes it that way. He doesn’t understand people. He never developed healthy relationships in childhood, and as a result, he lacks the social skills that many take for granted. He can certainly turn on the charm, but he doesn’t particularly like people and prefers to keep to himself.
Isabelle Sharpe, twenty-five, has been hard at work in pursuit of her dream for years now. As a fourth-year medical student living in Aurora, Colorado, she looks forward to finishing her clinical rotations and beginning her residency next year. Her goal is to become a cardiothoracic surgeon, something she was inspired to do when her own father’s life was on the line. She had been just twelve years old when a surgeon saved him, and ever since, she has hoped to help others in the same way.
She never anticipated how much work and commitment would be involved, but she isn’t about to give up, even at the cost of giving up a social life. As an only child, her parents have sacrificed for her and she isn’t about to let them down by dashing their hopes for her. They’ve even delayed their own retirement dreams of selling the Aspen home and traveling the world just so they can keep the family home for Izzy to return to when on break. Though Aspen is home to the rich and famous, her parents own a home that was passed down to them. They do alright with money but they certainly are not rich. They help with what they can, but Isabelle has a pile of student loans to pay off. So when she comes across Faux’s escort agency, she cannot help but be interested in the possibility of a big payday in spite of all her misgivings. She doubts her curvy figure is what wealthy men are looking for, but decides to give it a try since it could make a real difference in her life.
Henry and Isabelle don’t exactly hit it off right away. There might be some underlying attraction to one another, but Henry is all business. They do, however, get along very well, and despite his doubts, Henry decides to move forward and hire Isabelle for the three-week period leading up to Christmas. Isabelle can hardly believe it is real, but she won’t argue with the $100,000 payday. She soon finds herself in fairytale-like circumstances, but Izzy is a smart and down-to-earth girl-next-door type who knows better than to expect a happily ever after. Her position with Henry is strictly business. But as he finally begins to open up to her, his personal story breaks her heart just a little. And when she discovers that he has never experienced the joy of Christmas, she makes it her personal mission to change that sad fact. The couple experiences ups and downs as they struggle to get on the same page, but they eventually find a happy ending.
Wow! Henry and Isabelle’s Christmas fake relationship romance is a perfect holiday read. With mentions of Hallmark and a variety of Christmas celebrations, it sets the mood for the season. This story has a real vibe and there is little in terms of over-the-top drama. Henry is a deeply flawed character. He acted out in his youth, but somewhere along the way, he got serious, too serious for his own good. He has business goals, but his personal goals have been put on hold. That isn’t surprising, however, because his social skills are lacking. He doesn’t pick up on social cues, so he often misses out on the unspoken intentions of others. When Izzy enters his life, he isn’t prepared to deal with someone that doesn’t take orders. It begins to confuse him. He understands his inability to deal with feelings, so his preference is not to deal with them at all. Izzy, however, brings out all sorts of feelings in him. He waffles between giving into those feelings and keeping up the pretense that everything between them is strictly business.
Isabelle is like Henry in many ways, so it is easy to see why they have so much potential together. She, too, puts her goals and work first. She hasn’t had a boyfriend or much of a social life because she has devoted most of the last eight years to her education. Izzy is not the type that seeks attention. She is often content to stay at home and do something simple. She is a smart young woman from a humble background. Still, she is comfortable enough in public and quite capable of mixing with and meeting new people. She does so while maintaining an air of authenticity. She is warm, open, and honest. This contrasts with Henry’s cold, closed, and often abrasive attitude. Nicholas was obviously insightful when he suggested that Izzy would soften Henry in the eyes of the public.
Henry and Isabelle’s holiday romance is a feel-good read about family and tradition. It is also about achieving goals and finding balance in life. Finally, it is about overcoming poor social skills and taking a chance on love. Their story is well-written. The plot is somewhat simple. The characters are complex and well-developed. Henry is particularly compelling, and his story sticks with you. The story is written in first person. The POV alternates between Henry and Isabelle. I rate this book 4.5 stars.
I received an advance copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
So I was expecting a HEA and Henry got on my nerves but his assistant was adorable and needs his own book and I’m glad it wasn’t the typical plot and discretion was involved!
“Fake It For Money” is another story from Weston Parker that gives you much more than you might initially expect. You see the premise of a billionaire and a graduate student in a fake relationship and your mind categorizes it as a rom-com. You might already know that a rom-com by this particular author is bound to be good. Well, this story is so much more than that!
Henry is a man with a golden touch for business. It’s something he understands and is very good at handling; personal relationships, not so much. So, when he needs to appear to have a stable relationship to make himself appear more relatable for business purposes, he turns to a business for help. Izzy is almost done with medical school to bring down her educational debt before she starts a residency program. Random chance, the hand of fate, or maybe even a Christmas miracle leads her and her friend to run into a woman from the agency that Henry ends up using to arrange his professional date.
Christmas plays a very important part up things several times in this book. It sets the stage for what is to come, provides the settings for key events, and then provides a launching pad for a wonderful future. Izzy is a lovely character from the very beginning, but she has a very poor body image. Her experience with Henry changes her opinion of herself for the better. Although Henry has achieved incredible success in life, he’s never been able to overcome the emotional burdens of his youth – burdens that were so deeply ingrained within him that he never really even recognized their existence. Toward the end of this story there’s a scene where the Henry has a holiday dinner with Izzy’s family, and it was written so well I felt like I was lurking in a shadowed corner and watching it unfold. I thought the ending was extremely well done. This is definitely a heartwarming story for any time of year.
Izzy is home to Aspen where she lives with her parents from medical school - she's training to become a cardio surgeon as her Dad suffered a heart attack many years ago. Like most students she's broke with mounting debts for school fees. Whilst out with her BBF at a market one Christmas holiday they spot details of a firm that provides escorts [dates with NO 'funny business'] that are extremely well paid. Izzy signs up as she wants to pay off her debts. Meanwhile, billionaire Henry Barlow is very solitary but , after a less than perfect upbringing, he has three very successful hotels and is wanting to expand. However, his image is not as good as it could be and is not attracting the investors he wants so, as he doesn't have a wife nor girlfriend, he uses the elite escort service to hire a woman to be his date for twelve functions and his exclusive focus for the time period. Izzy ends up being matched with him and he is especially pleased to know that he is her first client. Like in Pretty Woman he showers Izzy with fabulous clothes etc to make her fit into the events. She is stunning and he is overwhelmed. This is the latest book by Weston Parker and it is certainly one of my favourite of his books. The storyline is great with 3-dimensional characters that are fun, believable and, so very obviously, made for each other. This is a very easy read with humour and surprises as well as misunderstandings occasionally. I would love to know what happens to his executive assistant as he is fun! I received a reader's copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here. Most definitely recommended.
Isabelle "Izzy" is home for Christmas break from med school for a much needed rest. When she goes to the Christmas market with her bff Noelle they come across a booth advertising for an escort service for high profile clients. Henry is a hotel magnate looking for investors for his new resort and has no time for romance but according to his assistant he needs a woman by his side to soften his image. Wala...enter Izzy for the contract of twelve dates over the holidays in several cities as his fake girlfriend. Just what they're looking for, no messy relationship, no strings, no sex...hmmmm maybe just once. Izzy needs the money to start her career debt free without hindering her parents retirement plans. Henry needs his reputation reinvented to a softer and serious persona. Izzy is smart, funny and very personable and is the type of woman that Henry could fall for. When did fake come with feelings?? One time together isn't enough. What happens when Izzy catches the wrong part of a conversation that crushes her and she flees?? Will Henry man up and confess his true feelings and try to win her over before it's too late?! Great characters that fit each other, his/her POV, no cliffhanger and a HEA. A MUST Read!! I voluntarily reviewed a ARC of this book and happily purchased a copy for my favorites collection. Looking forward for the next Weston Parker story.
Henry is a self made billionaire. His assistant, Nicholas, has advised him that he needs to change his image and fast. Henry is a loner by nature. He doesn’t date, heck he can’t remember the last time he was with a woman. All he cares about is building his hotel chains, but he needs some investors to go international. Nicholas has advised him that he needs to hire a girlfriend for the next month or he’s going to lose investors.
Isabelle, or Izzy, as everyone calls her, is on Christmas break from medical school. She doesn’t have much money to buy gifts for her family but she will try to find something at the Christmas market. Her best friend Noelle accompanies her when they come across a both for an escort service called, Faux. Noelle convinces Izzy to fill out the form when they find out the money she could possibly make. The following day she gets a call from the owner, and lets her know she is to meet a prospective date at a bar. Izzy can’t believe how handsome Henry is. Why is he still single? However, once she starts talking to him, she realizes that he has zero personality, but hey, it’s only for a three weeks. What could go wrong.
I loved the characters in this book so much, that I was rooting for them from the beginning. This is a must read.
I received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
First of, another great Weston Parker book! We have the main 2 characters Henry and Izzy. Henry, when I think of the name Henry, I think of an older stodgy gentleman, maybe smoking a pipe and drinking scotch. When I think of the name Izzy or Isabelle, I think of someone young, vivacious and full of life.
Izzy is a medical student about to go into her residency year to become a cardiothoracic surgeon. It's Christmas time and she's at home with her parents during her break from medical school. She is enjoying life but always in the back of her mind is the astronomical cost of school. Henry is a young billionaire who rose up from an orphan to become the up and coming owner of an amazing hotel chain. This years party season has Henry's assistant Nicholas wanting to make some changes to his image. Nicholas says that Henry needs to up his game if he wants to break ground on his new projects and in order to do that, he needs to look approachable.
That's where Izzy comes in, medical debt meet billionaire. The story is full of fun, frivolity, sparkles, laughter and some great feels in general. This is a great story and I loved it! I hope you love it as much as I did!
This is the second story featuring Della's Faux Escort service and as expected it is an entertaining read!
Henry owned some Luxury Hotels in the US but he wants to spread his brand globally. He needs some new investors but his image needs a bit of polish. He is advised to contact Della and use her company's services to help with his image
. Izzy is studying to be a surgeon and really does not want to start her residency drowning in student loans and depending on her parents. She is encouraged by her best friend to give Faux's a try and see how it all works out. Izzy is contracted to work with Henry for 12 dates but did not expect to fall for him so quickly. His hot/cold demeanour though as through her insecurities into the mix.
Henry is only interested in taking his business global but did not realize how than arm candy Izzy is until he actually misses her.
Can these two keep up this business charade or will this fake dating end up leading to more?
i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the story of Izzy and Henry. Izzy is a med student who is on break for Christmas and learns of Faux, the escort agency that she can work for to be a professional date, without any sex, to earn a lot of money for her student loans. Henry owns a number of luxury hotels and wants to expand overseas, but he is seen as standoffish and his investors would prefer if he had a softer image, so his assistant suggests hiring a fake girlfriend for a number of Christmas parties. Henry doesn't see the need, but agrees anyway. When Izzy first meets Henry, she doesn't like him, but she agrees to continue for the money. As time goes on, Izzy and Henry start to spend more time together and Izzy starts to think Henry is a good man, but he doesn't know how to express himself. They develop a friendship and soon Henry wants more. Izzy thinks she is falling for Henry, but he is only interested in her because of the contract. I really loved this story. I found it emotional and thought Izzy was going to get hurt. Henry couldn't tel how he was feeling and i think he assumed she knew, but she didn't. Another great one.
Henry is owner of a Cain of Hotel that his reputation needs a lift. They want to see more that s cutthroat bachelor. Read it to find out! Well done! I highly recommend this book!! I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book
Izzy is headed into her last semester of medical school! Woohoo! Light at the end of the tunnel! Now all she’ll have left is her residency! And a mountain of student debt. Not a huge mountain thanks to scholarships, but still a small mountain is a mountain. By chance she signs up to work as a date for hire with an exclusive escort service. Expecting her “date” to be some balding older man, she is pleasantly surprised when she meets Henry Barlow. Thirty-three to her twenty/eight, handsome, fit, and a billionaire hotelier! Wow she had hit the jackpot. But he’s something of a recluse workaholic. What starts out as strictly business quickly morphs into so much more. But Izzy is outgoing and likable and Henry is not. Can they put aside their differences to make their relationship real!

A modern day Scrooge. Henry is a billionaire hotel owner with a little problem. He comes across as cold and needs something to soften his image. Enter Izzy, a surgeon in training, who encounters a representative of Faux, an escort service. Seeing the opportunity to pay off most of her student loans, she agrees to accompany Henry on dates to twelve Christmas parties promoting his business. their strictly business relationship becomes something much more. I absolutely loved Henry! After a childhood in the foster system, he is totally clueless about women and relationships. And Izzy is a bubbly holiday lover ready to transform Henry into a fun-loving relaxed man. Easier said than done! Lovely story with some really good love scenes and somewhat awkward romance. This author never fails to satisfy. Highly recommended!!
I'm really enjoying the Faux Love series! I really love these characters. Henry is a businessman, he pulled himself out of his sad childhood and built something reliable and strong. He's not the typical alpha, womanizer and I love that about him. He keeps his nose down and is married to his work. Izzy is loyal, sweet, smart and equally as hard working and determined to fulfil her goals. The two click so well together and I enjoyed the growth that they had, the smiles, sweet and heat as the story progressed. There's a great back and forth, some ups and downs and an all around great feeling to this story. A great, must read!
I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
I love the message in this book. Your past doesn’t have to keep you down, you are not your parents and if you want something bad enough you can make it happen with hard work and dedication. This is the case for the arrogant Henry Barlow who starts out as all work and no play.
Izzy is a smart women with self esteem issues when it comes to her looks because the world likes to make you think you aren’t worth anything unless you’re a size two. She is a kind hearted, giving woman whose determined to be a heart surgeon. She takes a chance to make money as a escort to play off some debt and meets Henry.
While it may be rocky at times, these two are a match made in heaven with the perfect happily ever after.
I'm a sucker for Christmas Books, that's why I was so happy to read one from one of my favorite authors - Weston Parker. Fake it for Money is a great follow-up to Fake it Real Good, using the same "escort" service Faux's. Izzy needs money to pay off her student loans, while Henry needs 12 dates for Christmas parties. You could tell from the moment they met that this was going to be another special love story. Henry and Izzy have great chemistry that is very steamy (hot tub in Aspen - hello!). I loved getting to know these characters. Henry is always lonely until he lets Izzy into his life. She shows him the true meaning of Christmas - a holiday he never celebrated before he met her. I couldn't put down this book. A fun, sexy, and loving book you will love for the holidays!
Henry is the owner of the Barlow Hotels. Isabelle is studying to be a heart surgeon. He needs to improve his image because he is all business and has no clue about feelings at all. His assistant solves the problem by suggesting to go to an escort service for a women he needs for 12 dates to pretend she is his girlfriend. Isabelle’s best friend finds out about this agency at a Christmas Market. She convinces Isabelle to sign up for it for the money because she has a great deal of student loans. And this is where it starts. Two opposites attract, for sure. There is all the teachings and learnings between them. It’s interesting to see how they develop their relationship with each other. There are ups and downs through it all. It’s an enjoyable book.
I read this book in one sitting as I didnt want to put the book down once I started it. Weston Parker pulled me into the book right from the first page and held my attention all the way until the last page. This is the story of Henry Barlow the owner of Barlow Hotels and Isabel "Izzy" a med student about to embark on her residency as a Cardiothorasic Surgeon Henry needs a plus one to pretend to be his girlfriend at 12 holiday parties so he contacts Faux's Escorts. Izzy and her girlfriend come across a booth for Faux at a Holiday Faire and Izzy signs up thinking nothing will come if it but it would be nice to pay off part of the student loans. Next thing Izzy knows shes meeting Henry to go on 12 dates to fancy parties and so the story begins. Terrific read
This is such a brilliant read. Henry is a business man and owns a chain of hotels but when his assistant says that he needs to improve his image by having a girlfriend to take to all the Christmas parties he turns to an escort agency. Izzy is a medical student with plenty of debt so when she sees a stall for an escort agency she reluctantly signs up. The chemistry between them when they first meet is off the charts but its only a professional relationship that they will have. Wherever Izzy goes she makes everyone feel better including Henry but when feelings start to change will he push her away. Full of emotion but also plenty of love. Absolutely loved the ending. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
Terrific This book should come with a warning that you won’t want to put it aside until you’ve finished it. Izzy and Henry are compelling characters that pulled me into their story of a fake relationship for business reasons. Izzy is studying to become a doctor while Henry is a super successful entrepreneur. He hires her to be his pretend girlfriend for the Christmas events he will be attending so that he will appear more “stable” to potential investors. With time things change and pretend becomes real. A truly delightful story for any time of the year; however, especially nice for the holiday season. Definitely a highly recommended read! I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
You will melt into a puddle after reading this book. Spectacular. Henry is like a brick wall and he just works, works, works to make his hotels the best in the world. He has no social life and his assistant, Nicholas, has told him his he needs to upgrade his image. He is unapproachable. Nicholas sets him up with Izzy, to go to 12 parties to make him more personable. Izzy is everything he never knew he always wanted. She is a breath of fresh air and likes him for him, not his money. Henry realizes what he has been missing his entire life and he didn’t even know it. Falling for Izzy was the hardest thing he ever did. Magnificent. Heartwarming. Henry’s love for Izzy will turn you into a melting mess. Absolutely loved it.
Henry owns a hotel chain and when he wants to broaden his business, he is told that he needs to up his image and have a girl on his arm. When he is told to try a dating service, he wasn’t so sure but eventually decided why not. Izzy is studying to be a surgeon but knows that it will cost a lot of money and doesn’t want to have to ask for help. When her best friend suggest that she look in Faux she is like why not. This is where she meets Henry who hires her for 12 dates. This is a great fake relationship romance. Weston did an awesome job on the character and the storyline. I am really enjoying this series and can’t wait to see what’s next. I received an arc copy and I am voluntarily leaving my review.
This is Book 2 in A Faux Love Novel Series by this author, and can be read as a standalone. It is a lighthearted holiday romance between billionaire Henry and medical student Isabelle. These flawed but likeable characters and the unique plot make for an interesting read. What starts out as a fake relationship turns into something more. It is a heartfelt love story filled with drama, humor, frustrating moments, family dynamic, unexpected twists, and passion, plus appealing secondary characters to keep the reader interested. The main characters share an undeniable chemistry and connection. An emotional page turner.
