He ain’t no hero. But he’s not throwing a half-starved kid to the wolves…
Eddie Houston wears the Blackwater Renegades MC “Nomad” rocker, serving as the club’s eyes and ears out west. Otherwise, the ex-convict junkyard picker and bouncer keeps to himself. He owes nobody, and he likes it that way.
When a scruffy, half-starved kid with defiant blue eyes and an attitude to match is left on his doorstep, Eddie knows for sure “Lucky” ain’t his. And he ain’t no do-gooder. But the girl needs help, and his MC brothers will know what to do. Besides, while he’s visiting the club, he’s likely to find a hot woman to break his long, cold, dry spell.
A dangerous biker’s arms could be the safest place for her heart…
Vivi Sinclair, new hire at Blackwater, Kentucky’s battered women’s shelter, has come to the MC’s party looking for a little adventure on the edge. The rough-around-the-edges biker at the bar is just what she needs, and soon the night is headed for a red-hot climax.
But when Lucky is kidnapped, Vivi has seconds to make a choice. Stay safely behind, or jump in Wes’s truck and help him get the girl back. So begins a wild ride where Vivi has to decide where the greatest danger lies – the kidnappers, or the hardcore biker with blood in his eye.
Inger Iversen lives in Virginia Beach with her tree-hugging boyfriend Joshua and her overweight lap cat Max. When not reading or writing she spends her time watching reruns of True Blood or killing zombies in Call Of Duty.
Eddie and Vivi are both just looking for a good time and are off to a great start until everything goes sideways. Both have trust issues but in order to find their way out the trouble they now find themselves in they are going to have to work together and put their personal issues aside. Relentless Stranger is not your traditional romance because neither the hero nor heroine is looking for love, but fate has a way of changing things and these two definitely didn't see each other coming. I loved the characters especially Vivi because she is no wilting flower and she is not looking for a white knight to come along and save her. Eddie is also no white night and is rough around the edges but Vivi seems to like all he has to offer. When these two come together they are a formidable pair in and out of the bedroom and that made for a drama filled, action packed, steamy read. The narrators also did a great job of telling the story which made it that more entertaining .
This is my first time reading this author. I love a good MC story and the possibility of a single father on top of that??? I was wanting to read this one from the start.
Eddie is a nomad for his MC. No real ties other than the brotherhood. SOmeone leaves a young girl on his doorstep and then the adventure really begins!
Vivi is looking to blow off some steam at the local MC. What she gets is a fast paced adventure with bad guys, shoot outs, kidnapping and with a determined pre-teen in the mix.
I hadn't read anything else in this MC but I am interested enough to go back and pick some more up. Loved the honesty by Eddie. Vivi got a little frustrating for me but I will chalk that up to nerves and not that she was being petty about the situation. Good to see familiar characters and their goat in this story as well from the C0**y Bastard book.
Overall a good read.
*I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
The storyline was good, I enjoyed the main characters but the girl kind of worked on my nerves in the beginning. I also thought that the story was kind of slow this is only my opinion it may not be yours.
Eddie's a Nomad, doesn't do roots, or commitment. He's definitely not about kids. So why is he finding himself taking care of a kid who was left at his doorstep with a note claiming she's his?
Vivi lets herself be convinced to come to a Renegades MC party, looking for a night of fun. She's about to find it with a gorgeous biker when she finds herself instead convincing him to let her help him find his kidnapped daughter. Will this road trip lead to them opening up to each other, to trusting each other?
Relentless Stranger is intense, hot, and fast paced. Eddie and Vivi had a rocky ride, didn't get to that happiness easily. In fact, I wanted to shake Eddie when he wouldn't take his head out of his ass for so long, but it wouldn't have been nearly as entertaining if they had made things easy on each other. Though I haven't read anything else by this author, after having fell in love with this Nomad and his feisty Vivi and sassy daughter Lucky, I will definitely be reading more by her in the future.

Get ready to fall in love with Eddie and Viv and the thrill ride that is their story. I loved his book so much and it is so fast paced and good that you will not lay this book down for a second. I was so engrossed in it the world just fell away from the beginning to the end of this book. Eddie is a nomad and one day a sassy fired up girl is left on his door steps. He knows there is not way this girl is his and she needs help so he takes her to the MC where she will be safe and sound. Lucky got pretty lucky there as the poor girl looks like she's not been taken care of at all and in dire need of food and clean clothes. Back at the MC though Eddie has decided that it is time to end his dry spell. Viv is the new girl who just go her job with the women's shelter and she needs to blow off some steam. The MC party should be a great place to make that happen. This is where she meets Eddie and the sparks fly but suddenly someone is kidnapping Lucky and she has to decided weather or not she wants to stay out of it or if she wanted to help Eddie. Its an adventure that you soon will not forget. One I loved reading and couldn't lay down at all.
Eddie is accosted by a female claiming he's the father of her daughter. He knows it's lie because he wraps it tight, each and every time. The said daughter is a hellion on wheels with secrets that Eddie attempts to pry out of her. What he learns is disturbing and he promises to right her wrongs.
Eddie must consult with the leaders of his MC, he cannot make a move without informing his MC, while at their watering hole, Vivi spots him from across the room and her goal is to live a little dangerously in bed with a hot biker. She scopes him out and sends a drink, only for him to send it back and she is verklempt.
She eventually learns that he thought the drink was from Cleo, who identifies as female and he makes it clear, though he's not a homophobe, he just doesn't roll that way. They start over and it's clear what they're both after, he wants to give it to her in the alley and she wants a bed, so he takes her to his hotel where he's staying in an adjoining room with his newfound daughter, renamed Lucky.
Before they can do the deed, a scream erupts and Lucky is taken. Thus, begins the adventure of getting Lucky back. Vivi learns bits and pieces of Eddie's crusade, and she determines that she's going to take Lucky from him. As the hours progress, she learns more and more about Eddie and still is determined to do what's best for Lucky. Given her profession as a social worker, I understood her goals but it felt off-kilter.
They both have trust issues, Eddie doesn't fully trust her and he shouldn't since she has her own agenda. Vivi was willing to trust her body to a stranger but not the person himself given the evidence presented to her. Her frequent use of the words, gang and thug annoyed me. She was eventually set straight by another female within the MC Universe.
We're given information at the end that was difficult for me to accept, given Lucky's talent that lead to the discovery of what the kidnappers wanted returned to them. Overall, I liked the storytelling and this story because of Eddie and Lucky. Recommended: Read it!
This is a wonderful addition to this new series and is Eddie and Vivi’s story. Eddie is a nomad for the Blackwater Renegades, and he is an ex-convict, bouncer, and a junk picker, who prefers the solitude and to keep t himself, and when Lucky, who is half starved and with a big attitude is left on his doorstep, he knows he has no option but to take her to the MC, where his brothers will know what to do to help her. Vivi is a new hire at the battered woman’s shelter, and she goes to a party at the MC looking for some excitement in her life. From the moment that Eddie and Vivi meet the sparks fly between them, and they go to a hotel to spend a night together, which does not go to plan when Lucky is kidnapped, but Vivi does not hesitate to go with Eddie try and find Lucky. This is a well written story which is fast paced, and with undeniable chemistry, suspense, danger, emotions, drama, twists, and action, which leads to a thrilling and riveting page turner. I look forward o reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
Inger is a new author to me and I loved this book. Vivi is out with some friends at a Blackwater Renegades MC Biker party and Eddie shows up. She is immediately attracted to him. Eddie is a one-night stand kind of guy and isn't ashamed and lets the women know that's all he will ever be to them. This suits Vivi as that is all she is looking for too. Eddie hasn't had a good day an ex has dumped a daughter Lucky on him who he knew nothing about. Vivi and Eddie end up going to his hotel for the night and he doesn't let Vivi know that Lucky is sleeping in the adjoining room to his. Their night gets ruined when Lucky gets kidnapped. Vivi wants to help Eddie find her but he's not one that accepts help easily especially from a woman he doesn't know. There are many twists, turns, and dangers in their search to find Lucky. I received an arc for my honest review for NNBB. If you love a fast-paced biker story with a few twists and turns you don't see coming. This book may have some triggers for some people so this may not be the book for you if you have them.
Eddie is a member of the Blackwater Renegades MC and is determined to not let anyone close however he now finds himself a single father to Lucky, a daughter he knew nothing about, when a woman from his past leaves her at his door. When he meets Vivi at one of the Club’s functions it was only supposed to be fun but when his daughter goes missing it changes everything.
Vivi is a social work who is looking forward to a night out and with the help of her friends she might just find a man for the evening. When she meets Eddie, the sparks fly but their night takes a turn when his daughter is abducted, and she isn’t about to walk away.
Neither Eddie nor Vivi was looking for love or a relationship, but fate has other ideas when they find themselves working together as they try to rescue Lucky and keep themselves safe as well.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
As usual, this author did not disappoint as she is a gifted writer. Vivi and Eddie begin a dangerous adventure of sorts as they journey to look for his kidnapped daughter. They just met, and though the chemistry is off the chain, they do not trust each other. Both of them believe the other has a hidden agenda as they brave gunshots and other dicey situations in their rescue attempt. Of course we see the MC brothers getting involved as well, including a peak at previous characters.
This story is not like any you will read. It had more twists and turns than any MC book I have read in a long time. I did struggle a bit, in the beginning, trying to figure out what was going on. Eddie finds himself with a young girl who needs his help. This is what his club does help women and children stay safe, but Lucky isn't like any other and though she seems tough she's still a little girl. These two will have to fight tooth and nail to keep her safe. When Vivi gets involved things are just a wild ride from there. You will definitely be kept wondering the truth until the end.
The shock soon wears off, when Eddie comes home one night to find a child=Lucky in his bed. 'Your me Dad'. Is lucky Eddie's child or a con for money? Pursing of the truth, Eddie opens doors that should remained locked and those behind them buried along with the keys. With the assistance of Eddie's one night stand Vivi, the chase is on to find the now snatched from him, Lucky. As more and more doors are opened the naked truth of the situation is revealed. Three strangers, now linked together. But which of them, is really relentless?
Relentless Stranger by Inger Iversen is truly awesome. The characters Eddie, Vivian and Lucky had me locked down. I sat on the side of my bed and read from start to finish. Relentless Stranger affected me on so many levels. It had my emotions scattered. I was laughing intrigued, scared, sad and happy!! I fell in love with the storyline and characters. Their chemistry was fire hot!!I love Inger Iversen books❤
Vivian and Eddie’s story was hot, steamy, sexy and more hot, steamy and sexy. It was so good that you won’t put it down. Sure there will be triggers for some but just push through it like they did and it’ll be worth it. Another great addition to the Cocky hero series. Oh and did I mention hot bikers?
So they both have trust issues with each other. I get why vivi did what she did she was thinking 🤔 of luckys safety above all else Which is right. And I get hey Eddie was mad at her. Either one of them trusted the other and in the end it caused more problems then it needed. But this book 📖 was a great read 📚.
This author is a great story teller. Her tempo is just right for easy and engaging reading. However, it would be nice if she would begin to launch her MC series. It was great reading main characters returning from some of her other novels but it would excellent if we have more of the enriched world she created shown. I can only hope more stories will be coming.
Vivi is so annoying. Really, really annoying. She can Never shut up, jump to all the wrong conclusions, thinks she knows better than everyone else, and just made the other characters lives more difficult. This book is such a shame because I usually such a fan of Inger’s writing. Maybe that’s why the disappointment is so great with this book.
Liked the premise of the story but it just didn’t flow well. Started off feeling the vivi was a string character but honestly some of her dialogue was cringeworthy given her social work status. Eddie I couldn’t get my head round as he blew hot and cold. Not sure I’d pursue more from this author.
This is my first book by this author but it won't be my last. I love the action and suspense and the anticipation with Eddie and Vivi. Their relationship wasn't easy and had me on edge but it was wild.
A new author for me that did take some time for me to get into the story. After a few chapters I did enjoy the story itself and I liked reading about the characters. The storyline was enjoyable and easy to read.
Vivi & Eddie... From the start these two are thrust into a dangerous journey. He is in search of his kidnapped daughter. I thought these two were so great together. I loved their connection and what they go through. One amazing story!
Loved this story very much, but found Vivi annoying as hell, sometimes. There is naive and then there is Vivi’s naivety when it come to understanding the MC culture. The Hero was my kind of guy, less talk, more action! :o)
I was intrigued from the very beginning and trying to follow the clues. I was fascinated that such a rough, gruff group of men could be so caring and protective. A heartwarming story and entertaining read.
I can say enjoy the outcome of this book I think what I missed the most is I was hoping in a way she would’ve gotten pregnant not only have Lucky But another child as well but I enjoy it as well it’s a great read I applaud the author
Eddie and Vivi took me on a crazy adventure filled with drama, twists and turns and what a thrilling ride it was. This is my first book by Inger and I really enjoyed this book.
I like MC reads and theirs was a good read. This book is full of action and chemistry between Eddie and Viv. Both looking for a one night stand but instead turns into a wild ride
Lucky is one sassy preteen !!! It was supposed to be a one night stand, but you how things can change at the drop of a hat . Let Eddie, Vivi and Lucky tell you all about their journey.
