Generous 2 stars here. This story was all over the place and really lacked structure. I ended up DNF because reading it bored me and I was rolling my eyes way too much.
Well, we'll, another new author to add to this list, and so far, not bad. This is a short and sweet 200-page inter connecting series. My thoughts the story felt a little rushed to begin with could have used more character development, that being said as I neared the end hello plot twist leaving my with 20% left of the books with my heart racing on what's happening. I got 6 more books to go on this, and I'm eager to see the author grow and expand.
I really am not a fan of books written in the present tense. This goes doubly for badly written works. The story could be better with an editor to fix all of the grammatical errors, missing words, and horrible formatting. Hopefully the he. She gets more established, the author can have someone go back through her work and clean it up a bit. Normally I would DNF something like this, but she gets an extra ⭐️ simply because I was interested enough to keep reading. I may even get the next book.
A five-hundred-year-old Daemon who’s basically given up on love… until the MC hires his fated mate? Yeah, I was instantly invested.
Liam’s got that “I could ruin you but would also die for you” energy, and Phoebe? She’s out here being a tech genius who doesn’t take crap from immortal bad boys—or anyone, really. The sparks? Immediate. The tension? Chef’s kiss.
It’s got danger, banter, and just enough heat to make you side-eye your Kindle in public. A solid 4⭐️ ride that proves even ancient Daemons can still fall hard.
I really enjoyed the story, there were a few nits that are microscopic, there’s a little more telling than showing in places and odd unnecessary over describing of innate things, I also needed a little more interaction and conversation between Liam and Phoebe, but the characters and story is very exciting and pulls you in easily. A good Beta reader would turn this from a good read 5o an outstanding one.
I really enjoyed this book and I look forward to reading the next one. Once I realized they were a MC of supernatural beings, it made the book all that more exciting to me. Liam and Phoebe complimented each other in more ways than they could imagine. I enjoyed her sass and how once Liam realized she was his, it wss a rap.
Paranormal MC?!? Yes, Please. This is the first book in the Havoc Predators MC series. It is a great introduction to the characters and the local area. This is a quick read and although has steamy bits, it is very character and plot driven. A very enjoyable read. I read the entire series in 4 days, while being sick. This is exactly what the doctor ordered.
Loved this. Couldn't put it down. I loved how Phoebe and Liam didn't do the same old same old, play hard to get suspense. Got to the point and the story line was perfect. I recommend this book to everyone. Can't wait for next book.
A paranormal MC based in my home state? I'm here for it! This first book in the series hooks you from the beginning. Lots of twists and turns that will keep you turning pages until the end!
Another recommendation that turned out to be great
This author is new to me and the first book of hers I’ve read. It certainly won’t be the last. Loved the idea of paranormal bikers. Plenty of action little bit of humour. I couldn’t stop turning the pages.
People should really evaluate what the stars mean. I try not to post bad reviews but this something from wattpad but from ten years ago. It reads like someone’s diary. It’s badly written and needs heavy editing- Like no
Liam is the Enforcer for the MC and a 500 year old demon. But he meets his mate in the new club hacker. Enjoyed this first book. Author and series is new too me.
Couldn't put this book down. Such a great MC story that isn't your typical MC or Paranormal story. I loved that Phobie was a strong woman that didn't need a savior to rescue her from her life but once her mate was revealed she could be vulnerable to him. Phobie brings out a different side of Liam, a club enforcer that has a soft side, to her and wants to take such care of his mate. The twist that come about threw the story also gives this book an edge that you just can't put it down because you have to know what happens next. I want to say so much more but don't want to spoil the best parts of the book, you just have to read it, I promise you will not be disappointed. Ann Edwards first book just has such an amazing writing style you would never think this is her first. I can't wait to get my hands on Jaspers story.
A twist on the typical MC romance combined with a paranormal romance, wven gibes the feels of a suspense, because you will not see coming the few twists at the end. Ann Edwards freshman book is absolutely a not want to put down until the very end and then you still wish it wasn't the end. That good, it makes you wonder how is this her first book? So looking forward to Jasper's book #2 in the Havoc Predators MC series. A must read of 2021.
