Christine loves to read, but also loves to write suspenseful stories. She enjoys camping and hiking with her family and watching movies. Check out her website: christinekersey.com
I am enjoying the series. That said, this book was a little annoying.
Golly who could have predicted that when both mom and dad leave on a dangerous mission, things will go horribly wrong.
How does a neighborhood full of Mormons not have much food storage?
Why is the church not mentioned at all? Nobody has services? Nobody prays?
Whatever happened to the greenhouse they built?
All THAT said, it is refreshing to read a story where the whole neighborhood doesn't pull together. This neighborhood is full of drama and a-holes, which seems pretty realistic and emphasizes how much a few bad or selfish people can destroy a community during a disaster.

Book three in the series about a broad EMP collapse continues the high action story of a neighbourhood trying to stay alive and protect itself after the society-ending event leaves everything and everyone in deadly chaos. Kidnapping, hostage situations, houses being burned to the ground, murders… expect anything and everything! This book is part of a series that must be read in order. It ends in a cliffhanger and all the books must be read in order. I can’t wait to read what happens next!
Alex, Melissa, and Luke try to find where their enemies live during a Post Electromagnetic Pulse which causes all electronic things to quit working. They are ambushed Alex and Luke are kidnapped and Melissa goes back to her community to try and get food for 40 people to pay the ransom. While taking wagons, and strollers loaded with food the enemies attack them as they have no intention of releasing the hostages or letting the people delivering food to live.
I enjoyed the characters, the setting and the story line. The author kept her characters names and personalities throughout the series..which is difficult for so many of her peers. I hope there at least one more book. A truly good read when you want to read more about the peopke.
I'm already on the third book and I'm quite disappointed. I thought it was going to move on to something better and more involving, but what I feel is that each book is a complete repeat of the last. I find it extremely boring to read reports and descriptions of actions without the author ever going further than that.
Another great book by Christine Kersey. I loved this book and all the characters in this series. I can’t wait to read next book by Christine regarding post-apocalyptic books. I would recommend this book and all Christine’s books.
Christine Kersey is my new favorite auther. This was the third book in her EMP Collapse series. Makes you wonder if this could actually happen. I can't wait until the next book in the series come out.
I’m loving this series! Likeable characters and the plot is good too. It’s a shame to think that this is how some people would act hound something like an EMP happen,
I have quite enjoyed this series so far, though the books seem a bit on the short side. It makes it a little harder to keep the plot moving, though this one does illustrate how hard it would be to keep a cooperative effort going in the face of such a long term disaster. I look forward to book 4.
This was a great book. Four quick reads that I found very enjoyable! I really like these ‘the works is no longer what you knew’ stories, so this one was perfect for me!
