This is a 3.5 star. First off let me tell you when I rate, a really good book gets a 4 star. It is hard to get a 5 star from me. It has to be a straight jaw dropper, or a book that is just fantastically awesome (in my opinion).
I read this book to finish my reading challenge. Needed to read a paranormal detective. And it is Christmas time, so what the Hell. Holiday Hell it is.
So this is a story that is a series, but you can read this book as a stand alone. I have not read any of the series of books. So, I’m sure if I had, it could have recieved a 4 star.
Angelica a vampire and her husband Danny (mortal) can see things in his dreams. Have to fight off an ice witch. Angelica has help from the PID, which consisted of witches, vampires, and other paranormal beings. This is where the book for me did get confusing. Again, think it would have been better if I would have started with book one of the series. I would have understood the characters better. How they developed and so on.
It is a good read I just recommend starting at the beginning.
