I think this is a great book to help individuals learn conversational Spanish. For me, the best part is the exercises that allow you to fill in the blanks then check the answer to see if you were correct. I took a couple years of Spanish in high school, and one in college, and while I read and understand the language pretty well, I am not a good speaker. I hope these books will help. The purchase description mentions access to an audiobook, which I did not find. I think hearing someone speak would really help my learning. I can't speak to the results of the program, yet, as I am only a week into the 30 days, but I'll keep practicing.

This book is AWFUL and so frustrating! First of all this is absolutely NOT for a true beginner; you must have at least intermediate skills first. Second, it is FULL OF SO MANY ERRORS! I can always forgive a few typos, but this book has SO MANY, and probably some I am not even knowledgeable enough to catch. Thirdly, for crying out loud, it has vocabulary lists of nouns without giving you the gender of the nouns, which is standard practice in any dictionary or reference work, or any language class you take on a language which has grammatical gender. The book suggests that you can use it as a "reference work," but you'd have to have an actual GOOD reference work in your other hand to tell you the genders of the nouns and so you can catch all the stupid spelling errors in the verb conjugation tables! The stories are only summarized in English, not translated, and they are difficult to follow even at an intermediate skill level (which again is not what the book is advertised to be). Also they are weirdly religious and melodramatic. I didn't like the content either. Soooo....yeah, don't buy this mess of a book!

I left a more complete review with pictures on Amazon but this book is basically worthless. What little it contains is free online. I purchased it only because of the 5 star reviews not realizing that presumably all of the 5 star reviews are fake. The book just contains so many mistakes and flaws as well as empty space and massive typeface it's basically a fake language learning book.

Comparing it to Spanish for Dummies or Complete Spanish Grammar underscores how laughably awful the book actually is and how the rating system is for both Goodreads and Amazon has been so egregiously manipulated.

Immediately after I left my 1 star review on Amazon several fake 5 star reviews arrived to make sure my review didn't appear as a "most recent review"

After going over these books to learn Spanish I found them to be helpful. I had to read them over several times to get a greater understanding, but the instructions are good. I won't say that I will learn Spanish in thirty days, but I have a better understanding of the language.
