It was great to get the opportunity to read this second poetry collection from the author after really enjoying the first collection he released.

As the description says, these poems are very easy to read and it's a nice short collection with some lovely illustrations included. They all follow a general theme of feelings about modern day life and problems/issues we're all facing. A lot of them are things that I think many people can relate to in some way.
I was a little disappointed that this collection wasn't split into different themes like the first book, but it was still an enjoyable read.

There are a few absolute gems in here which I feel just completely hit the nail on the head with modern day life. I'll share one of my favourites:

One of the hardest things
you'll ever have to do
is to fight for what you believe in
fight for your identity
fight for going your own way
because if you don't
you will get regrets
which will haunt you
when you expect it
the least

So overall, a pretty good collection, I'd recommend it if you're a poetry fan!

The most interesting thing about art is
that it is totally subjective
it can be worth zero
as well as millions
so never be too quick to judge
try to understand
your worth is incalculable

Moony Perspective is a poetry collection from author Jameson Blackmay, which focuses on free verse poems that speak up a lot in the minimum of words. The themes touched upon are of life, and the author's clear perception of things. I can confirm that everyone would find something relatable in this poetry book, and everyone will find some truths, some mantras and sometimes a new perspective to things. The author has shared these thoughts without any fears, being 100% honest and I'm sure that readers will resonate with several of the poems, like I did.

The unpretentious and effective poems are embellished with equally simple and effective illustrations, adding to their effect. The poems have quirky and oddly satisfying titles. Depending on the perspective of the reader, these poems are sometimes random musings, and at other times these are deep thoughts to dwell upon one at a time. This is probably the main reason i took it slower than usual even though it's a short book of 107 pages. Basically these poems have different moods- some are sad, some happy, some motivating to seize the day and some are just hard truths to swallow. The ultimate idea is to live the life as we have only got one, and value it by being active and productive. Loved this book and I'd definitely love to explore more of the poet's work!

The cover of this book really caught my attention with its title!!! Although I enjoyed the poems covered in the book, I didn't really like the font author chose for this book. The book was short and easy to read and I really enjoyed it. Can't wait for another piece from Jameson...Cheers

Lovely collection of poems! If you tend to find poetry a little heavy, this is a great choice as the art helps to make things a little more accessible. This collection of poems also comes with interesting illustrations. It is aimed at young readers but people of all ages will appreciate the insightfulness of these poems. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to read this book and can't wait for the next one.

The beggining of the book wasn’t really interesting for me but as I kept reading and put myself in the shoes of these poems, I started to feel something. It’s easy to read as people say and it’s a little emotional rollercoaster ride as the author is using simple but strong language.

I am a big fan of poets that go the other way. When I read these poems I really feel like "this is something different" and something and I can relate to. I could relate to a lot of these poems so Im really giving this a 5* review. Good work.

My favorite poem is love from Mcdonald's and that photo! haha amazing

Blackmay’s collection of poetry does not shy away from its indeed message. It is forthright and direct, there is no extensive imagery or metaphor within the poetry which does allow for direct engagement with the content.

Whilst I didn’t always agree with the opinions put forward in the book, they were expressed clearly, with a kind of bleak simplicity that seemed to fit the morbid tone quite well. There is a continual theme of defeatism, of existentialism and of despair that runs throughout the book, tied together with the notion that these are the bleak thoughts that one has late at night.

For a second attempt at an anthology of poetry, this was an interesting read. I’m looking forward to seeing how Blackmay develops his poetry from here, and what traditions and styles his poetry will grow towards.

Note: I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All of the opinions are my own and this did not affect my review in any way.

When I was approached by the author to read and review this collection I was instantly drawn to the idea, I had been on the lookout for good poetry lately and Moony Perspective was just what I needed at the time.

Moony Perspective is an easy-to-read book full of deep thoughts about life, people, and society's vague direction. It will show you new perspectives in just a few lines.

By this point, Jameson Blackmay collections have become a comfort read for me and I am always able to deeply connect to his writing. I believe the author manages to portray beautiful and heart wrenching images in a few words. The author is starting to become one of my favorites. Every time I read Blackmay´s work I feel good and this was no exception. This poetry collection makes me feel like I matter and it was interesting to read about everyday things in a different perspective.

The prose is simple, what you read is what you get and for me that works marvelously, I loved getting insight into simple things that maybe have a deeper meaning to some people and I adored finding out that some simple things have a deeper meaning for me as well.

I don’t think I have anything else to say really, poetry is subjective and everyone gets to have their own opinion, I liked it, I connected to some poems and I didn’t with others. It is short, you should read it.

Overall, this is a strong poetry collection that gives light to the simple moments in life and I love how the author managed to make me feel like I wasn’t alone. I really can´t wait to read more from this author.

Although I'm not usually someone who reads poetry, this was a very pleasant experience.

The author does a great job in this work and his perspectives of the world, relationships, family, friends, day to day living is very well done.

Even for someone who doesn't have poetry as a favorite genre, this was a great ride and I recommend it to everyone who wants to try to read something out of their comfort zone.

The English is very accessible and easy to read, which make it a lot easier for someone with English as a second language to read (I'm Portuguese).

Congratulations to the author!

An extremely powerful story’s which are more deep then I get to use to read before. This is Blackmay’s second book, despite his flaws, it’s a pleasure to accompany Blackmay’s characters on his physical and emotional journey. The unexpected ending is a fitting denouement to an epic and memorable road trip. Read it if like mysterious stories of 21 century.

After reading the first poetry book by Jameson I was a little disappointed that this book is shorter (around 100 pages) but it´s also been delightful as the first one.

This book is ideal for the winter reading under the blanket with hot tea. It´s just so raw and honest that it hits you before you actully realize.

Can´t wait for another books from Jameson!

This feels a little bit like a sequence to the first book from Jameson but it's better! The book is shorter than the first one but I liked the content and pictures much more. I especially enjoyed the poems Occupation and SIlent Fame :)

This book was easy to read and understand while the things the author has written were complex, deep and profound. I found it as a really good reading and hopefully there will be more books from Jameson Blackmay.

Hey, I bought this book in anticipation that it would be fun as in the first one. And it is. I laughed a lot and some poems could be samples of my previous life. Good job, James!

The poems in the book Moony Perspective are easy to read but still hold a strong meaning in each of them. The design of this book is really nice, also the pictures in the book. You can feel the author's view on this word and his thoughts are written in a stunning form. I highly recommend this book for poem lovers.

Really cool thoughts and poems that are like a collection of yours. I did not like some poems but I guess that's normal. But there were really many astonishing ones that were eye-watering. Shit this is great.
