'To all the people who take the chance to follow their hearts and dreams.'

- Beth Worsdell

In a future where humanity has brought the Earth to the brink of destruction and mass extinction is just around the corner, help comes from the most unexpected source.
Angels.
Magical and beautiful angels, who are healers of planets. A peaceful and gentle race with amazing powers. They step in to save not only the planet, but also the remaining survivors of the human race.

When Mel wakes in a hospital-type environment she doesn't know where she is, or who she is. But the shock of finding out that she is pregnant doesn't even compare to that of realizing what exactly she was pregnant with. And that is only the beginning.
Mel discovers that not only are ancient angels real, but that she and the other humans will be helping the angels to save the animal kingdom, the human race and Earth in truly amazing and magical ways.

But nothing can be perfect and danger threatens not only the fragile balance the angels had managed to achieve in their interaction with humanity, but also the very future of Earth, humanity and even the Angels as a race.

Neither humans nor angels have a chance against that which is coming. Unless they can unite and work together.

Beautiful, sweet and gentle, just like the angels themselves, this story here is love on a page. As first in series, it feels more like a build-up for the books to come. Setting, magic and character interaction are carefully laid out and everything is explained to give the reader not only a vivid picture of the world, but also convey a distinct feeling of kindness, gentleness and love.

The first half of the book is more descriptive, outlining the angels as a race, their work and interaction with humanity, while the plot starts building slowly in the latter half. Towards the conclusion, the plot is a lot more action packed and the final scene hints at a much faster pace in the sequel.
And be warned, it ends in a cliffhanger that had me reaching for book 2 right away.

Emotion and passion, hope and so much of positivity that it practically shines from the pages. And despite the slower pace of the first part of the book I found myself reluctant to set it down. And now I'm eager to dive into the sequel.

Intriguing and amazingly imaginative, Earth's Angels is a book that will appeal to a both younger as well as a more mature audience. It may not appeal to readers who are looking for edge-of-the-seat action books, because of the descriptive nature of this tale, but it will be perfect for everyone who'd like an absolutely unique read full of feeling. The good kind mind! The one that will have you wanting to be a better human.

And now I'm off to read the sequel because I really want to know if James will be able to use that t-shirt of his. The one with 'I have a shovel and a gun, and I'm not afraid to use them.'

What's that about you ask?! That remains for you to find out. So go ahead and give this beauty a try. But get book 2 while you're at it too. Because that cliffhanger.....

Hugs and light everyone
and do keep in mind...
'Everything happens for a reason.'

In a post apocalyptical world where humans have pushed the limits of Nature far too much, things are very bad. Mel, the main character is pregnant and she discovers the presence of angels who are trying to heal the world. Beautiful description and excellent premise.
Enjoyed it.

As the Earth died, it’s waters, land, and air poisoned, the animals and insects dead, humanity had thought the end was finally here. And for many, they were right. However an ancient race of aliens had visited the planet countless times in Earth’s history. They seemed to consider themselves a sort of caretaker of worlds and had helped humanity many times in the past. They managed to arrive in the nick of time to attempt to save many and to restore life as a whole on earth.

They possessed technology and abilities far beyond what humans were familiar with and began the long, slow process of healing the people, repopulating the animals & insects, and cleaning the waters, land, and air of the planet to make it once again habitable. It appeared that the planet would survive and eventually might thrive again, especially if those living on it could learn the lessons that many before them had ignored.

But there was another problem. The previous world that the Angels (as the humans called them) had saved contained a very violent species, one far worse than humans had ever been. And this race had decided that instead of remaining on their own planet and trying to improve things, that they were going to travel to Earth and take over that world instead. So now in addition to healing the planet and all its inhabitants, the Angels need to find a way to aid in Earth’s defense while still working to bring the planet back from the brink of extinction... if it can still be done.

I really enjoyed reading this story. While I can’t speak for whether or not an ancient alien race would come and rescue us if the end were here, the problems that led up to what happens were entirely plausible and very real. I could very easily see what happened to the Earth in this tale happening here as well. It may not be too late for us to fix a lot of the problems that nearly destroyed the planet in this story, but it will take a lot of effort from humanity to even begin to reduce the damage already done.

One thing to be aware of is that this is the Adult version of the book. There are a number of scenes that take place that involve sexual encounters that are inappropriate for younger readers.

This was also the first book in a new series. It was well written and very entertaining. I am glad that I had the chance to read it and will be watching for book 2 in the series when it becomes available.

I also enjoyed the fact that at the end of the story, the author includes a number of ways in which we can help to heal our own planet and improve things for humanity now, rather than simply waiting and hoping that someday a kind race of aliens will arrive to save us from our own mistakes.

One thing I did appreciate about this story, was that given the subject, it would have been very easy for the author to have written in a story scolding our race for its foolish past, but that was not the point of this tale. It was a story of kindness and redemption. A story of new possibilities and starting over. I appreciated the tone that she chose to use in this story and am looking forward to seeing where she will take her story from here.

This book was Epic !!!

This book was all kinds of wonderful !!
We follow an EARTH that is completely fed up with his she has been treated. As Man willfully raped her of her resources, her precious gems , soil , fossil fuels , trashed her seas and skies. All the waste , and numerous wars, She is no longer the Earth we once knew. Everything is failing . The insects . The animals. The humans . Almost everything is poisoned . The waters , the soil. People are fighting and killing each other over a bottle of water . Others are dying . Of starvation, disease, pestilence.
Mel and her husband and her children refuse to kill their children as so many others have done . But what else can they do ????
They ran out of food and water days ago.......
Which is the last thing Mel remembers.

When she awakens , she is in a huge room . She is not entirely certain, but these "Beings" that come to check the machine she is attached to are not Anything she has ever seen before . When these Beings move her and another woman , Mel realizes that she is Pregnant !! But Not with a baby Human !!!!!!
Mel should be frightened, but the overwhelming feeling she has is ....Peace.
What follows is an incredible story of Ancient Aliens, Angeles, and how the Earth comes back to life , after catastrophic consequences of neglect. And it all totally makes sense !!!
Truly a masterpiece, and I Can't Wait until the next book in this series !!!!

Only reason I gave 4/5 which is more of like a 4.8/5 is because of some editing it was missing spelling wise and such.

First of all, let me just say, I am 50% into this book.

My rating of this is a 3.5, but I rounded to a 4 since I didn’t see grammar issues that other people went on about. Also so people would give it a chance if they like my review.

Story: 3 – the parts that I didn’t like about the book were actually the unique parts of the story! Sorry! Just a personal preference (You can read on to the spoiler points at bottom of my review.)
Clarity: 5

First, the without-spoilers points I want to make.
-When I first read this, I was expecting more sci-fi.
If you think you’ll get a techie view of Angel’s advanced technology, I don’t think this is for you.
-At around 25% of the book, my first impression was a post-apocalyptic world turned Hallmark Romance. This actually scared me as I didn’t want to be pulled into a rose-colored view of things. I was also scared that a loose end ended at that point.
-Around 30-35% of the book though, things unraveled like they were supposed to, so that was a relief.
-By 50%, I can say with full confidence there’s more richness and depth than I originally thought. A lot more diverse characters, the plot was progressing nicely. There’s still that Hallmark Romance between Mel and her husband, they are very sweet characters.

Now for the spoilers:
-I was shocked at the giving birth to other animals bit. Made for a good read to go through the trauma with Mel, but jarred me in some way.
-Also, Mel is now pregnant with a new super race of human. The reasoning for it was humans were on the brink of extinction, causing evolution. Which just so conveniently happens to be like the Angels. It could have been easily clarified that Angels tampering with her body also helped cause it, but the author didn’t go that far.

If you liked those tidbits, then this book is for you. Now go forth and happy reading!

Have you ever question about the ending of our human race? About our earth dying? Our carelessness toward our nature and our animals? Well, Beth Worsdell entangles us in a unique world where she shows the "ifs" and the "possibilities" of our world coming to a close.

Written from the first-person's perspective, Beth's eloquent hand defines a style best suited to a young-adult crowd. The narrative structure carries a smooth flow, fast-pace with a perfect visualization. In the first-ten chapters you may find the content repetitive and overly express, but take note that it gradually improves in the follow-up chapters. Beth expresses human emotions and passion vividly by closely giving life to her beloved characters. Anyone would be happy to notice the gracious advice given on how everyone can be an Earth Angel.

There were moments where you may question the realistic nature of a character's reaction to certain situations. The romance between the protagonist, Mel and her better half felt like newlyweds, somewhat questioning the maturity of their relationship. There is a glow of positivity among Beth's characters that can light a fire of interest in her readers' hearts. Toward the end, this action induce plot will drive your adrenaline and elevate your heartbeat when the narrative reaches its moment of climax concluding with a blast fill with outburst of emotions that will leave you jaw drop. There is noticeable amount of punctuation and grammatical errors, a through proofreading session will clear away these mishaps.

One thing is certain: Beth's content driven read will stick you to the Earth's Angels leaving you seeking more to know about the aftermath in the next instrument, The Marilians.

I will admit that I am writing this review before I have finished reading the whole book, but it is because I am already in love with it!!!!! Authors can change the world with their words and right at the beginning of this book Beth Worsdell proves that she is one of those authors with concepts and story that can change the world for the better! The beginning goes right to your heart, and then suddenly you find yourself in the middle of a mystery that you can't wait to keep turning the pages to find out more about! -Heather Skinner

*addition to review* I just finished reading this book in its entirety and am so hooked on this series!!! Beth's writing style makes it all feel like such a realistic story, which really connected me to the characters. I laughed and cried and can't wait to read what happens next! I am also in love with the end list section of how we can all be Earth Angels! In addition to what my family already does on that list, I was excited to find out that biodegradable, flushable cat litter exists! I added that into my Amazon cart immediately! Along with bamboo toothbrushes and I am still researching toothpaste drops! I have never heard of those and didn't find them in my 1st searches, but will be continuing to look. The messages in this book about life, family, and importance of every little decision we make for how it affects our planet and each other is such a poignant topic and I feel like everyone needs to read this book series! I suggest buying the whole series at once because once book one ended I know I was wanting to jump right into finding out what happens next in book two right away!!!

“Space, the final frontier”...wait wrong place in my head. If you are a sci-fi fan, like me, you will love the book “Earth's Angels” by Beth Worshell. I was electrified by the aliens' abilities and the imagery that made this book so unique. The story definitely had me pondering what our ancestors would think if they saw our planet now. A quote from the book spoke to me sadly...“It had taken our world to start dying for us to finally gain world peace.”

Can we really be the only race in this great big universe? When our Earth is dying, ancient angels come to the rescue in an effort to save Earth. Imagine waking up in a hospital-type environment and not knowing who or where you are? Mel, the main character learns the unimaginable truth of what has become of her home planet. She, along with her fellow survivors join the angels in an effort to bring planet Earth back to life, but something is trying to stop them.

The author, Beth Worshell has such an imagination, it had me awestruck! I think “Earth Angels” would be a great movie for any Sci-fi fan! This is book one of a trilogy and I can't wait to dive into the next one, anticipating more excitement and awe! So, join me in reading this trilogy for your next sci-fi adventure. And, remember to make those little efforts to save our planet: recycling, planting a tree and not littering to name a few.

~This book was given to me in a giveaway by the author in exchange for a fair and honest review.~

We've managed to kill Earth. It's some time in the future and everything is polluted and poisoned: air, water and earth. There is disease and death everywhere. A few have survived and are attempting to get to safer land but suddenly find themselves awakened five years later. They have been healed by creatures who call themselves angels and they DO look like a concept of guardian angels with wings. Creatures of their race have always been here even in ancient Egypt but now come to cleanse Earth, repopulate the flora and fauna and heal the humans. It's what they have done on many planets in the galaxy.
Eventually families are reunited including the main characters Mel and husband and children who are now grown. As they watch and learn the "angels" reactivate ancient energy and magic in the Earth to begin the process of healing, but things do not go smoothly. Marilians, a species of humanoids from another world, who have been healed by the angels resume their warlike and conquering ways. Now they are coming for Earth. A battle is set and just as things look bleakest the story ends, but will roll into Book 2 The Marilans.
The book was quite enjoyable and I will be looking forward to reading the next two in the series.
This is the Adult Version for a few sex scenes. There is also another version written for younger readers.

Earth’s Angels is the first book in Beth Worsdell’s Earth’s Angels Trilogy. A different genre than I am used to reading, this one grabbed me from the start. A very original and highly imaginative story it still brought out a lot of different emotions. This story has the power of family and courage……it will make you laugh and make you cry! Then Ms. Worsdell adds angels, now I for one believe in angels so I really enjoyed this. She writes with a lot of passion in this one. Her imagery and writings are so beautiful and real. You can really imagine what she is writing. The characters are well developed and believable. She also sends a message…..look out for our earth. This book really makes you think!! Ms. Worsdell leaves a huge cliffhanger and I am looking forward to reading the next one!

Thank you Beth Worsdell and The Sisterhood of Traveling Books for inviting me to read this highly engaging story. My opinions are my own.

I just finished this delightful Alien incorporated book. I actually really liked how global warming came into play and what could happen if we keep treating our world the way we do now adays, with trash, chemicals, wildlife, and enviroments.

The alien twists is what really drew me in and I found it compelling to keep reading. I do need to notate though there is strong sexual conduct and would say this is for a mature audience.

Overall a great read and I am excited to see what happens in the second book.

Interesting concept of aliens saving a destroyed earth.

I liked the concept and basic plot of this book, but was distracted by word usage and some grammar that was off, though found the author is originally from the UK, so understood some of the reason for the different writing. While it's true the we are closer to destroying the earth than most people think, this is sometimes too preachy to keep the story flowing. Not bad for a first book, but I wasn't as emotionally connected to the characters as I would have liked.

Beth Worsdell is a new author for me, and I was intrigued by the concept and hooked from the first chapter. The story starts with a believable explanation of how earth as we know it has been destroyed by humans; a topic that resonates at the moment as we all consider the impact our footprint is causing. Although fantasy, the message to look after our world is thought provoking. It’s an easy read with some likeable characters and interesting plot. I’m looking forward to the next adventure already.

This sci fi fantasy reads like a love letter to the planet Earth, being focussed on environmental issues and our fatal misuse of resources. A great opening then moved into an atmospheric and poetic introduction to the characters and their new world with the rescuing angels. I did, however, prefer the conclusion which started to be more plot driven, introducing the new villains for humanity and leaving a cliffhanger for book 2.

This is a magical book in every sense of the word. I found Beth Worsdell’s writing to be well crafted and uplifting. I was completely absorbed in this book and found it very hard to put down. A real page turner. This is a beautiful story of hope and redemption, if only it could be a true story. Full marks for an absolutely brilliant book. Time to get book 2. 5 Stars from me!

Makes u think what if?

Thank you for the book .you have broken a barrier . Humans are appalled by some of the things you have written about. The way you write makes thinking about them much easier and takes away the taboos. Your imagination is to be admired. If given a chance everyone who likes so fi should read this it is a different way to look at human ,alien encounters keep up the good work and thank you for writing this

This is a unique story of an environmentally devastated earth that is reborn again by an alien angel civilization. It contains some very imaginative visual imagery and a different stance on the human/angel relationship and, although a bit glib at times, it’s an interesting read that I flew through in one long setting.
I won this book in a Goodreads giveaway for this honest review.

As people have caused the destruction of their own planet, the time has come to pay the price. Angels, aliens and humans will either come together or collide. Buckle up and hold on tight because a collision is in the stars. An interesting story and a new twist for me.
