Hale Anderson

The Air Weaver.

He was the freaking Air Weaver. Not exactly what he expected when he got kidnapped by the pestilents, but Hale’s good rolling with the punches.

He can take a little time away from his pursuit of a doctorate in astrophysics to save the world.

Except that the final spell is poised to kill all the Weavers and their last hope lies with him finding his soul mate.

Hale doesn’t want a soul mate. He just wants Harrison.

Harrison William Davenport III

As the Keeper of the Heart of the Earth, Harrison must bring the final key to the Weavers if they’re to stop the pestilents.

He’s trained for this task his entire life. And he’s prepared to die just like his father did with the last generation of the Weavers.

But what if saving the world isn’t enough anymore?

What if the only thing that matters is saving Hale?

Storm Warrior is the final book in The Weavers Circle series. It includes fast-paced action, a dangerous cross-country roadtrip, dirty fun in tents, flying, bi-awakening sexy times, animal shenanigans, nerdy talk about the stars, jealousy, three crazy old ladies, magic, and a fight to save the world!

Action, action, action, and MORE ACTION, just how I like it! 😁

In this fast-paced conclusion to the series, there was non-stop fighting that had the Weavers and their Soulmates fleeing for their lives.

As we'd been told would happen in the previous stories, the moment that the last"brother", Air Weaver Hale, was finally given his powers, that action dropped the wards surrounding their Savannah headquarters and allowed the pestilents to attack them in their home.

But Hale was in luck, when Harrison, the previously-unknown Keeper of the Heart of the Earth, was sent by the goddesses to help the Weavers close the inter-dimensional rift, and save a weakened Hale from the attacking horde of pestilents as his first task.

The inevitability of their pairing was a bit predictable, as the one new Weaver needed a Soulmate to increase their chances of closing the rift, so even though Harrison initially saw Hale as too young and unserious, the previously-straight Keeper eventually had his bi-awakening and fell head over jealous, possessive heels for Hale. As expected. 🙂

Their romance seemed like a bit of a combination of slow-burn and insta-love, mainly because the entire book took place over the course of one week, two at most, if I'm being generous. Harrison did seem to hold the growing feelings at bay for quite a while, but time-wise, it still wasn't that many actual days before they were giving in and together.

One thing that I really liked about the book were the powers that Hale got as the Air Weaver. He was a bit like Storm from X-Men, with the ability to fly and control the weather, mainly storms and lightning.

Then once the goddesses finally bonded Hale and Harrison, the new Soulmate's gift also came in especially handy in getting past the pestilents, so that the Weavers were able to

I thoroughly enjoyed this last installment of the series and felt that it did a very good job in balancing the romance with the action, even if the action was a bit more front and center this time around, so there wasn't much I would've changed about the story.

I'd rate it at around 4.25 stars and wholeheartedly recommend this book, and series, to lovers of magical fantasy stories.

4.5*

Righto, I've had a think and revised up half a star but I have to say - while I enjoyed Hale's story - it felt a little bit anticlimactic overall as the final book for what has been a truly fantastic paranormal series.

Each of the previous books leading up to this final battle has seen the discovered Weaver drawn into their new world and all the perils they're facing.

But we'd got a lot of that in the previous book when Hale was rescued from the pestilents.

So it meant things kicked off on a different note from the start. Now, don't take it as me saying I didn't like Storm Warrior, my rating shows that's not the case.

I loved the push and pull between Hale and Harrison, I loved the way the Weavers and their Soulmates pulled together as they fought the ever increasing numbers of pestilents.

Although, it’s not just me surely, who thought it was blindingly obvious who Hale's soulmate was from the off?

And I even guessed the reasons why he wasn't showing up with the red ribbon.

I think part of my 'problem' and it's honestly a very minor one in the grand scheme of overall enjoyment, is that it couldn't have been anyone else because of the narrowed aspect of the journey the Weavers were taking.

As a narrative choice, I appreciated that they had a connection from the start and that both were drawn to the other. I also appreciated Harrison's very possessive nature even while he fought against his attraction.

And it was super sweet that they fell for each other even though they thought there was someone else out there for Hale.

Still, Hale's relationship with Harrison was an absolute delight throughout, as they worked out the strange pull between them.

The sex was, as it always is with these two authors, both ridiculously hot and deeply emotionally connected.

The tensions rose more and more as the Weavers discovered new information from Harrison, who brought them hope in the form of a magic pendant, and then they faced rising despair as it looked like they wouldn't survive the final battle. All this part of the plot was well done.

But that final battle is where it fell a bit flat for me.

I don't want to go into massive detail, but I was expecting more from the confrontation.

John, the pestilent's warlock leader, has been a thorn in their side for so many books now I was sure there'd be some epic scenes with him and the Weavers, especially Grey.

And there just wasn't.

I mean, I loved how they resolved the final inevitable outcome of the Weavers giving their powers to close the rift, and I loved how the soulmates were what made the difference to all the hundreds of attempts before.

But I wanted John to meet a particularly visceral end, one I could exult in, given all the pain he'd caused, and that didn't happen.

As Epilogues go too, we get a wonderful rounding off of each of the six Weavers' futures and a very definite HEA for all.

The Weavers Circle really is a fabulous series, it's an interesting take on elemental magic blended with the otherworldly villains.

Pretty decent for a final book. I didn’t skim and enjoyed most of this enough. A lot of it is still really lazy writing, and I dont think even the authors really know what their rules are regarding the bad guys. I really liked Hale, and by this point just liking all the characters makes the books enjoyable. Nobody holds a candle to Baer and Wiley, though. Even in Hale and Harrison’s book, Baer and Wiley still manage to be the most romantic.

I loved Hale’s powers and I wish we’d gotten to spend a bit more time with that. I liked most of his and Harrison’s relationship progression too, especially Harrison’s possessiveness. Yet again though, the love comes out of nowhere but sure, I guess it’s ok cuz they’re fated mates.

The final battle was actually pretty decent and emotional, but the very ending confused me. I was sad to see

Long live Baer and Wiley. Especially Wiley who seems to be the only member of this group who knows how to use his brain.

4.5 🌟’s, I really got worried for a time there for the outcome of the warriors and the mates. 😳 One of my favorite parts of this book was the update at the end of all the characters/mates and their plans for the future 🥰.

A nice wrap up to the series.

The Air Weaver, Hale meets Harrison (who is kinda like a version of the Men Of Letters/Supernatural). Harrison has never been attracted to a man so he finds his sudden interest in Hale confusing. Hale, on the other hand, knows what he wants.

The interaction between the two is interesting, but it's the last epic battle and epilogue that allow me to rate this a 4 star.

Suppose I liked this series for the romance part and the magical frat house situation and how their powers are reflected by their character. I even enjoyed some of their fights but I still don't believe the overall story arc. The casual, hands-on approach without strategy or precautions for more than the next battle doesn't sit right with me when the worlds survival is at stake, even more so while knowing that all their reincarnations before failed. In the end they could count themselves lucky that their enemies were even less capable and didn't learn anything from their past experience.

⭐︎4.25 "Warrior" Stars Rounded Down!⭐︎

As someone who skipped the fourth book in this series, I don't feel like I missed much, plot wise. I could gather from this that at some point in the last one we were finally introduced to Hale, the last Weaver, and he was kidnapped by John, the head pestilent or whatever, and that they rescued him and he'd been at the house a week to get to know his fellow Weaver brothers and all that before he was given his powers.

This immediately opens with the protection spell being taken down with the last Weaver getting his powers and the pestilents attacking the house.

In the middle of this fight, we meet Harrison, who comes into the middle of the fight basically guns-a-blazing, saving Hale's life in the process.

After the battle is over, all the Weavers gather and with the help of the Godesses, learn that Harrison is the Keeper of the Guardians, a group of 100% humans that are spread all over the country, ready to help the Weavers whenever and wherever.

The Keeper has the job of holding some piece of magic that helps the Weavers in them closing the rift between their world and the Pestilent world.

Harrison's father, and his father before him and so on down the line, have always been the Keepers, and like the Weavers, they have all died. Harrison's father left to help the weavers the last time when he was about 6 or so and died then.

Now it's Harrison's turn to be the Keeper.

With Wiley putting up a temporary protection spell to last them a few days around the house, the Weavers take a few days to rest, recharge and plan how they're going to get the rift where it's located in Arizona.

Hale and Harrison don't quite know what to make of each other at first, but they're still drawn to each other regardless.

Harrison always thought of himself as straight, so when he begins to be attracted to Hale, it takes some time for him to wrap his head around.

And Grey doesn't see a red ribbon between the two of them, so they don't think they're soulmates either, and that on their road trip to the rift, Hale might hopefully meet his soulmate.

Along the way, the two grow closer and closer - especially when they're put in rooms and tents together, because they can't be alone in case the pestilents come to attack them.

Harrison tries to resist because he thinks that Hale finding his soulmate is more important, when Hale is just more of the opinion that they have days left before they'll probably die, so why not just enjoy each other while they can?

For me, I did enjoy these two together, but I do wish we had been able to get more build up. It just felt a tad rushed. Also I wish Hale had just gotten more time to be with the Weavers circle in general and really settle into the group. He was so new to it all throughout this, even if he did fit with them, it just didn't feel quite settled. It's only really been like...maybe 3ish weeks of him with them before the big climax comes.

That also means even less time with Harrison and for them to fall in love because Harrison comes along after Hale's been with them a week.

I know them giving Hale his powers is what makes them have to get a move on, as the protection spell lifts once he does, but maybe he could have been introduced around the third book like Calder was, and just not got his powers for awhile, I don't know. I just wanted more time with Hale like we got with the rest of the Weavers. He comes so late in the game, and then Harrison even later.

But, aside from that, I did enjoy these two together, and for what little time they had together, their connection was done well and felt their feelings for each other. Maybe not quite yet when they declared their love for each other, but still definitely a strong connection. The plot just made it so that they didn't get to spend as much as time together as they should have gotten in order to really fall in love, or for it to come across as believe, in any case.

I was very happy with the ending and how they were able to defeat the pestilents once and for all (although I do wish the angst-y part had been given a little more time. It was quite an easy fix, in the end, to get them to their HEA with their soul mates.) and how they all got to live their happy lives together in the end, in peace.

I loved how they all

One lingering question I still have, though, at the end of this series, is...why now? Why in this generation did the Weavers all get their soulmates? What was different about it that they got them in this run of things, and none of the many, many times before over the centuries? What brought them together in this go of things?

Also, did Lucian and Calder's past selves hook up and fall in love ever? Or was it just this time? And did it just not work because they were missing Gio? (Well along with the other 4 not having their mates as well)

Curious 🧐

I'm not too bothered not to know the answers to those questions, so I'm not taking anything off my final rating of this book for it, and especially because it's just a general question for the series as a whole and not just this book, but those questions still linger for me.

It'd be nice if like in a short where maybe we revisit these men and their HEA's that they all asks the goddesses this during a visit or something and they actually get answers. These are the burning questions I will have about this series haha.

Overall, a solid end to this series, with a solid couple at the forefront to bring this great series to a close.

As always, I love this writing duo and can't wait for more works they bring us, whether that be together or apart.

Two thumbs up from me! I'll definitely miss these Weavers and their mates, and all their adventures saving the world 🥰

4,5 stars for the ending of this epic series. I really liked this series and enjoyed every book. So after the last book, I was really curious how this would end and I think it was well done.

I really enjoyed the the relationship between Hale and Harrison. The banter and the tension was great ... and I loved that they stood with each other without knowing the truth.

The way to the final battle was interesting and well done. The final battle on the other side seemed rushed ... and I really would have enjoyed to see more of the other couples during that time.

I enjoyed the epilogue ... it was great to see all the couples in the aftermath

All in all, a great ending to this series and I really loved reading it.

I was happy to read this book and give my honest opinion.

Sunshine & Stars

I can’t believe The Weavers Circle is complete. It’s been an amazing ride. One in which I laughed, cried, yelled at both characters and authors, and fell completely in love along every loop, turn, drop and climb. Hale and Harrison flew right into my heart with their intense, passionate and stormy love. “I’m pretty sure I would have fallen for you regardless. I love exactly what and who you are.” Their push and pull will make you feel but their love is worth it all. All the men in this fantastic series captivated me and I don’t want to let go. Such an incredible family and the final battle they’re faced with is truly epic in actions and emotions. It also made me relieved I never have to meet a pestilent. A phenomenal conclusion that exceeded all expectations, and I was aiming for the stars.

Fantastic ending! We have reached the end of this journey and boy does it deliver. We get our epic final battle and big win for our boys.
As with previous vols this focuses more on Air Weaver Hale and his soul mate. Hale is a very chill guy and Harrison is a button up kind of guy. He is someone who is more focused on his "mission" than anything else. These two opposites shouldn't work but they balance each other out.
This final book takes us on a road trip to repair the rift and along the way they are battling to stay ahead of the pestilants while also trying to figure out how not to die like their previous counterparts.
This was a very satisfying book. I definitely recommend it

Grant finale

I've really enjoyed this series with the diverse cast of characters and abilities.
The finale finishes things off well even when at times I felt it was moving too quickly.
There weren't really any surprises to me, I knew how things would go so I didn't feel terribly emotionally connected to it but there are moments that tug on the heart strings.
I did want to shake a few of them and ask why they weren't asking certain questions!
The epilogues were lovely

This is the final book in Weavers Circle series. This book was so freaking good - it was intense, unpredictable and very emotional. I thought my heart was going to burst out of my chest towards the end.

Sparks were flying around like crazy between Hale and Harrison. The sexual tension building between the two was mind blowing; I was just waiting for the fireworks to go off.

Fantastic finale and well worth the wait!

This isn't the strong ending I was hoping for but I liked it. Hale and Harrison have even less time to sell their love story than the other couples do. This series has instalove in every book but Hale's was lightspeed fast. I would have preferred if Hale didn't use love to describe his feelings. The love declaration in the epilogue would have been a much better fit for me. Even with the soul bonding, love didn't have to be uttered by Hale to Harrison. That's just my small annoyance though.

Lackluster

I am disappointed. This was lackluster and didn't at all live up to the potential. It felt like the authors gave up on the series. The romance was barely there and the finale fight was over way too fast. There was no sense of danger or urgency. All in all I am very disappointed.

Rating (All ratings use a Scale of 1-5) = As a book and a series it has been a solid 3.5 stars. I struggled with rounding up or down for this last book in the series. On the one hand, It wrapped up nicely with an awesome HEA. But... For me, there were some issues. I was thrown out of the story multiple times for various reasons; including typos, editing, minor plot holes etc... (more below)

Blurb = 4
My Genre Scale = 4.5
Odds if not your genre = 2 stars unless in the mood for campy fun.

Development of: =
*World = for the series 3.5, For this book alone 2
*Characters = 3, they are more than 2 dimensional but not well developed either. Not textured and no depth.
*Plot = 3, entertaining fun ride. No real surprises or twists.

What stood out = Nothing really- Except for me personally with Savannah being the setting. I live close to Savannah, so I thought that was cool.

Mood Type : Appeal to those looking for... (and /or those who should avoid)
This series / book requires a large capacity to "just go with the flow" and "don't sweat the small stuff". It is entertaining and what I would describe as a guilty pleasure.

Warnings = For some, the Insta-love might be a problem. It didn't feel completely "organic" to me even with taking into consideration fated mates. There didn't seem to be a lot of attraction or chemistry before they were suddenly making declarations.

HFN/HEA = Definitely

Series Notes = 5th and final for our Weavers
*Reading on? N/A
*Reading back to back? No
*Can be easily read without the previous? Considering I had to go back to skim the 4th to not feel like I was missing something from this one, I would say no.

Rating Notes = (SubPlots, thoughts, etc... )
One of the things that initially frustrated me was the feeling that I cane into this story in the middle, and I had read all the previous books. Hale's rescue was the major focus of book 4. I did not remember enough about it, nor was I given enough info to refresh my memory. I had to stop reading and go back to skim the previous book to not feel lost or like I was missing something.

On the editing issues, examples include wrong name used, clunky passages that required retreads to follow, repetitive dialog, lack of explanation of how Hale got control of his powers so much faster than the others had- are just a few of many that could be pointed out.

Basically, it was a good campy read that did not always flow smoothly, but was still worth a read. It did not seem that it will be particularly memorable with the passage of time.

***************
Below is my philosophy on reviewing!
***************
1. I try to take into account and note common pet peeves noted by other readers
2. "Brain candy' does not necessarily carry a negative connotation. (What is brain candy? Publishing industry 's version of pop music - Typically: formulaic, from a prolific author published often and quickly (like monthly), things escalate fast, and are often solved easily etc..) It has its uses: to pass time when tired, on the beach, etc... The problem comes when "brain candy" is unexpected or even disguised.
3. Why rate the blurbs? :
Like many readers, I do not like to think I'm reading one kind of story; just to end up with another. But...I also don't think a book should be docked stars for being as stated. If I don't like stories about "_________", and I choose to read it; I shouldn't give it 2 stars based JUST on my preferences. Unless... it wasn't clear in the blurb.
4. Other Factors that effect my perspective when reviewing:
Since 2009, I have exclusively read m/m. My 1st was in 2007. I am a Kindle diehard, and I never do audio for m/m. I read at least 100+ books a year - with an average length of 220± pages. My Goodreads lifetime rating (at the start of 2022) was a 3.60 average for 1715 books. Which considering, one should be better at picking out books the more one reads, I feel is an accurate average. I have over 800 reviews within the m/m genre here on Goodreads.
5. I'm really confused by reviews that consist of just 2 to 3 sentences - with no explanation or evidence. I'm even more baffled when it receives "likes". I'm unsure of how it is useful to others on whether or not to pick a book, for example: "It was a fun read". Umm okay... What made it fun? For that matter, what do you define as fun? Do not even get me started on people who have rated over a 1000 books with a 4.99 rating average. How is that helpful? And there's is absolutely no way that every book is above average great / 5 star read. Why even bother to rate books?
6. I am not a writer nor a wordsmith, but I am a passionate reader. I joined the m/m group years ago, but I mostly lurk. I like to ask questions, debate, and quite possibly play Devil's advocate - which is hard to do online, with unknown people - to whom you are also an unknown- and no body language is available to convey intent. Plus, true debates seems to be a lost art form where respect and even friendliness can be shown between those with fundamentally different opinions.

I liked it as well as I liked the whole series. I liked the men, their soulmates, the banter, the romance for the most part and also some fights.

The quest was not what I expected to be honest. It was mainly people meeting and hooking up with a subplot of magic and danger. Their powers were there but nothing was really done with them. Especially in this one it I got the feeling that air powers were nigh redundant. Especially the air weaver had the potential to do so many things that were never explored. Work together with the water weaver to create storms, with the fire to create infernos, to incapacitate a big group of people by creating a vacuum, fly out of danger zones quickly (instead of hiding out in a shop? But I guess they needed that to make them succumb to their lusts for the first time...) .

Also, for a whole group of people who supposedly reincarnated for hundreds of years to fight for their world the anxiety and urgency was nearly non-existent. Only Wiley seemed to have one or two sleepless nights over their dilemma but the rest were more concerned with indulging in their soulmates bodies for as long as they could.

We learned early in the series, that Grey could help and empower Clay when he struggled. I would have thought that, knowing that they had to cast some spell together in the end, even though they didn't know the specifics, that they would try and boster each other. This would have been helpful for example when Grey was facing having to whipe dozens of minds and they had to run instead. I also don't get why Grey wasn't the inofficial coms-man for the group. He could project his voice into the minds of his fellow men as we learned in this one. Why then, didn't Harrison and Hale know what happened to them until they met up with the group again in the small town where they had to run for their lifes? If the world depended on me, I don't think I would go with the let's wing it approach.

What I also don't get is that they were even told that they now were immortal? Why? They never seemed to live long in the past, they always died trying to mend the rift and the godesses always knew what they were going to lose when they acomplished their task. What is the incentive then for them? I guess money in their case would be a greater incentive than . I would laugh my a*** off for sure.

A plotwhole for me also was the fact that John supposedly bargained with Grey in his book about letting refugees or something like that come to our world, where Grey answered that he wouldn't allow John to let in an army and that Grey wasn't naiv. ...Fast forward and we read in this book that every other second a pestilent walked through the rift. So what was all that about then before?

For me personally Hale and Harrisons love story was also the least believable and relatable. I sadly didn't connect with them at all. The issues they had with one another were not discussed at all or handled in any way. Harrison was introduced as being meticulous about everything, needing structure and putting everything just so. Hale was a slob as he believes in the caos theory and that nature thrives on disorder. I just could not see them together beyond haven chemistry in bed. Maybe I am too much of a realist when it comes to the day to day in a relationship but all I could see in their future were fights about toothpaste caps, last toilet paper rolls and dirty cloths. The only really harmonious moment they had was when they were having a moment while watching the night sky. Do they have anything at all in common?

One, and the most important issue, the pestilents are here, trying to kill all of us," Harrison listed, holding up one finger. "Two, you're looking for your soul mate. If I were that, Grey would have already told us. And three, I'm straight. That... that was just a fluke. A one-time thing. We're going to pretend this didn't happen."

Finale books are hard in this style of series - with different main characters each book. You have to culminate the entire series while also providing the feature characters some kind of subplot themselves. This installment opened a little differently then the rest - with the new character actually having knowledge and understanding about the Weavers and the battle against the pestilents. It was nice not needing a big reveal scene with lots of info dumping to catch another character up to speed! We also get a bit of a setting change - as much as I loved the heritage house and grounds they occupied up until now, it was great to see them finally moving towards the endgoal!

"If you want her so badly, go after her." Harrison stalked toward Hale and grabbed his shirt in his fist. "Go on, go after her."
"I don't want her, you dumbass, I want you!"

While Hale and Harrison weren't my *favorite* characters, the fact that they were able to carry such a grand finale book was pretty good. The spice was great when we got there - I do love a good and the way that Harrison's It made the whole climax so much more fun and gave him a place among the Weavers/soul mates that he really needed to be a participating main character.

"It'll be okay. We'll find each other again."
"But-"
"I love you, Harrison. This is not the end."

The ending was full of feels, but of course we know that the Weavers Usually I can put myself into the moment and pretend otherwise until something changes in the plot arc, but for some reason I couldn't get out of my head and sink into the idea. Of course our guys are getting their HEA's, amirite?

The epilogues were nice closure, and just short and sweet enough to not overshadow the rest of the ending. It's nice that they kept a it felt super unfair that those were almost lost.

Overall, the Weavers was a good series read, and another tick in my 'Drake/Elliot Backlog' list! I'll have to decide what to read next by them...

Ever since Broken Warrior, I've been enchanted by the world of this series and completely enamoured with its heroes. All through the first four books of the series, as the Weavers were introduced, as they learned to hone their powers and as they met their mates, I've watched them become a family. They argued and bantered, they had good and bad moments, always with the underlying fear that they might not have a future. I've had the chance to know them intimately, to care deeply for each of them and cheer for the success of their mission.

In Storm Warrior, Hale and Harrison, as the last addition to the Weavers's Circle, felt, in comparison, almost frugal acquaintances, as I didn't get the chance to know them also through the view of all the others. Justifiably so, of course, as they were introduced during the rush to survive and considering that their arrival meant the imminent final battle to save the world.

This book had a breathtaking pace right from the first pages. Harrison had arrived at the manor right in the middle of a pestilent attack and afterwards, he and the Weavers had to embark on the journey toward the location of the rift. It was full of dangers at every turn and many times it seemed like they weren't going to make it. And meanwhile, Hale and Harrison had to figure out the intense attraction they both felt and the incredible connection they couldn't fight, when they tought they weren't destined for one another.

The story was action packed and thrilling. Suffused with foreboding, that, thankfully, the author broke with fun, sweet moments between the Weavers and especially with the amazing romance between Hale and Harrison. The suspense increased with each page, and each page I feared none of them would make it out alive. I've been on the edge of  my seat and holding my breath until the final battle, until the moment when the Weavers had to close the rift...until the moment they met their destiny.

And...wow! Is this truly the end? Everything that lead up to this, all the laughter and tears, the anguish, the love and the passion... It's been a wonderful journey and I can't believe it's over. But, I want to give the author a huge thank you for the epilogues. Every Weavers had one, with an amazing view of how they were settled a few months after the final showdown and I finished reading with a huge happy grin on my face.

**Possible Spoilers**

I love this series. From the first installment, I totally fell for this take on the battle between good and evil with our elemental magic user heroes. Of course, this meant that I had really high expectations for the grand finale. Storm Warrior does not disappoint.

From the romance/relationship point of view, there's quite a different feel to the other books in the series, to me, because we already know who Hale is from the previous book and the identity of his soulmate isn't really hidden from the reader. It's more about seeing how he and Harrison come to that conclusion and appreciating the delicate and potentially short nature of their bond. There's definitely a 'race against time' vibe given that, as soon as Hale gets his powers from the goddesses, the protection the Weavers had had in their home is voided so they're forced into the endgame. Hale's need to find his soulmate, then his and Harrison's fear that their time together is limited because they might not win the final battle brings both a kind of carpe diem heat and a few moments of amazing tenderness. Of course, the other Weavers and their mates also feel this.

The accelerated pace due to the group having no option but to head towards the endgame ramps up the tension, too. Hale and Harrison have far less time than the other Weavers and mates to come into their powers and understand/practice their gifts - which they have to do during the journey to the site where the final confrontation needs to happen so the gang can seal the rift. There's a good few pestilent incidents along the way and a 'will they/won't they' survive dilemma. Obviously it's not a spoiler to say the Weavers prevail, but this is where the biggest surprise is, for me. I'd expected a huge Final Battle (yes, capital letters) but in the end fixing the rift was a short, simply written event. I can get on board with appreciating an 'it's the journey, not the destination' vibe and that it's about what the Weavers are willing to sacrifice. From this perspective, it's an emotional end to not just their battle but the whole war with the pestilents but, personally, I would've absolutely loved to see John get what was coming to him in a bigger way.

Nonetheless, this is a brilliant way to close out the Weavers Circle series. I've definitely got that bittersweet vibe where I'm sad it's over but the great epilogue just reinforces why all that fighting and sacrifice is worth it. 4.5*

I’ve loved this series, and am sad that this is the last book. It’s been a fun ride with wonderful characters, fabulous worldbuilding, loads of action, and an interesting plot with the tension rising with each new book. It’s very much a series that needs to be read in order, but totally worth it.

As well as reading Hale and Harrison’s story, I enjoyed catching up with the other Weavers and their mates. They’ve all come a long way not only with their powers, but in their relationships, and as a family. The goddesses still steal every scene they’re in.

I liked how Harrison, as the Keeper, fitted into the cycle of Weavers and Pestilants. I loved how he and Hale are opposites, yet fit together, and are both geeky about their own fields. I guessed the reveal of Harrison’s other role early on, and also why it wasn’t obvious before that. Hale’s power is very cool. I liked how their relationship wasn’t just physical attraction but sweet and very much two men falling in love.

The action scenes are full on, and the Weavers don’t get much down time as the final battle approaches. Although this isn’t a short book, it’s a fast read, and very much a page turner.

I loved how everything came together in the final showdown. The epilogue catching up with everyone afterwards was the perfect way to finish the series.

This concluding book in the Weavers series is everything you want and need it to be. We get to know Hale, the sixth Weaver as well as a new part of the process, The Keeper, Harrison, who has trained all his life to help the Weavers complete the spell to close the rift and save Earth. And of course we get the final battle.

The book has humor, emotion, drama, romance, love, battles, and a happily ever after. What more could you ask for? Hale, the final Weaver to join the group, is the Air Weaver. He has to learn his powers on the fly as the danger from the pestilential increases dramatically as soon as he gets his powers. The world building that went into this series is fantastic and so many threads from the previous books come together here. Harrison is introduced in the middle of Hale’s first battle experience as pestilents attack the Weaver House in Savannah. He was sent by the goddesses and we learn what his role is to be in the process. Of course the astute reader will figure out what else is important about him but that tension builds throughout the book.

The Weavers have to take a road trip to Sedona in order to get to the rift and close it. The trip is of course filled with pestilent encounters and the battle scenes are tense and exciting. Once they reach Sedona the tension escalates and the drama multiplies tenfold as the Weavers face their pending deaths in attempting to close the rift for good. I think I alternated between holding my breath and hyperventilating for the last 20 percent of the book!

The ending was so satisfying and the epilogue makes for nice closure. I will miss this universe. It has been a very entertaining, clever, and well written fantasy trip populated with memorable and lovable characters.

**I voluntarily read an arc and this is my unbiased opinion.**

I'm sad to see the end of this series!!!
The world that JD and RE created for the Weaver Brothers is nothing short of amazing.

Storm Warrior, the last book in the series, is the Air Weavers story. Hale was literally thrown into battle with little to no experience. His knowledge and strength of his powers unknown. All the while knowing that without finding his Soul Mate he might not survive the the war, or worse be the reason his Brothers don't survive.
Harrison has been preparing all his life to fight the pestilents along side with the Weavers. He is prepared to die saving the world. What he was not prepared for was falling for the Air Weaver.

If you have been enjoying this series, then buckle up for the final stance!
Great writing, great world building, great conclusion.

I was putting off my review because it is just so difficult to say good bye. This is the final book of the series and I think this series deserves more attention. The first two book was good but it just keeps getting better and better. Every book features a different protagonist but it follows a direct timeline. Finding and helping each Weaver to understand their powers and their roles while struggling with themselves to accept their soul mates was a huge package. I don't want to spoil too much but I couldn't imagine a better finale story for them. It was not easy and definitely not all roses. There were blood and tears, doubt and hopelessness. But amidst all that, there was strength, love and found family bonds. Definitely a five stars series

What a ride! I can’t believe this series is over. It has been so good. I love all of these characters; these men who have had to figure out their elemental powers and find their soulmates in order to save the world. All of the weavers are together and the circle is complete. Now they just have to find Hale’s soulmate and close the rift which is near Sedona, AZ. Harrison is a Guardian, one of the elite group who has studied the Weavers across the years. He is the Keeper, the one with the stone called the Heart which will be necessary to help the Weavers Circle close the rift. Now they just have to figure out how to survive the spell that seals the rift. Like any series by either of these authors, this is definitely worth a read. The world is fascinating with the magic and the whole story of how there is this group fighting to save humanity from evil. These guys are all still human, even with their powers, and have their flaws and worries, but they have room in their hearts for their found family. It really is a great series.

I so didn’t want to read this book fast, I wanted to savour it because it was the last book of the series, they are always hard to read. This one was especially…. Oh my heart couldn’t take it, I had to stop reading a few times to cry or just revel on a sentence or afraid to turn the page, just wow… I cried a lot reading this book, I still loved it, it was everything! I love Hale and Harrison!
