Another great quick read from the short story instalove queen herself.
May and Aiden have been secretly friends with benefiting for the past coupl of years keeping it from her brother who is also Aiden’s friend. Aiden can’t seem to shake his past playboy reputation and May is afraid to express her feelings.
Well written, fast paced and I love the little town of Whisky Run.

"Forbid" is the story of May and Aiden.
Fun novella in which a couple that has been in a secret relationship finally gets to reveal it. Plot has brother's best friend, totally smitten with the heroine and they've been exclusive for two years. When she finds herself stalked, he tries to reveal his feelings only to realize she doesn't think that he's committed. After some drama, we get a quick HEA.
Enjoyed it.

"It takes every bit of control I have not to reach over and pull her chin toward me. I want her eyes on me and only me."
I loved this soooo much more than I thought I would. I thought jumping into a two year relationship wouldn't do it for me. I was wrong. I love a hero that is obviously deeply in love and just gets devastated and tortured. I guess I'm a lil bit of a sadist lol.
Just a great read that I highly recommend.

This story revolves around close friends, and family, in small-town America. Namely, Colt and May who are siblings. Along with Kinsey and Aiden their best friends.
Now you see, Kinsey who is, May’s best friend. She is now, Colt’s wife. They are still besties. Both stay close, telling each other everything. As do, Aiden and Colt, which is good because the two work together.

Quick(ish) Review
In binging this series (because I’m a completist at heart), what irks me is the lack of physical descriptions for characters except to say they’re attractive or if the women have some self-perceived flaw. Makes it feel sketched out than a fully formed story. And this one was especially irksome because of the supposed player status of the MMC. I mean when the FMC says he spends all his free time with her, for two years, but still thinks he’s hooking up? No no no. This just hit weird and awkward. I don’t mind short and sweet but this was just short.

The 5th book, but in no means last.
This gave a nice wrap to the series... and hopefully Leading to more about whisky run in the future.
This book, like ots previous ones has kept a tempo that draw you into the story and makes you feel a part of it.
Both characters came across well and were likable and obviously perfect for each other.
I like the running theme of protective alpha in this book and the previous ones, but the author still manages to give us a strong female lead.
The storyline are always packed with romance, anticipation and intrigue that I'm sure like me you have come to know and love from this author!

Aidan loves May and has done for 2 years! She’s his best friends little sister. He needs to convince her his love is real and forever. May pushes against Aidans love, frightened to be hurt and worried about her brothers reaction! Aidan fights for her and when her life is in danger she realises he will protect and love her forever. Beautiful romance. Hot, steamy, loving and caring with an amazing HEA

Aiden and May have a friends with benefits thing going on for a couple of years. Both of them fell instantly for each other, but different reasons made it hard for them to give a relationship a try. Now they have finally a real chance😍😍😍 Insta love, sweet, steamy, with action and safe with a sweet HEA😍😍😍 Can't wait for the next story 😊😊😊

The story is about Aiden, a pilot with the ALPHA Mercenary team, and May, a nurse at the Jasper Hospital. May just also happens to be Colt's younger sister, and only family. Aiden and Colt are best friends and also work together on the same team. Since Aiden moved to Whiskey River two years ago he and May have been in a very secret and loose friends with benefits relationship. But both of them are actually in love with each other even if they will not admit it. Aiden knows May is not ready for more just yet and is willing to wait, but maybe not too much longer. May believes that rumors that Aiden is really a player who has different women, so how can she trust him with her heart. But when Colt tries to set May up on a date with someone he met at his gym, someone safe and stable, Aiden just about goes out of his mind as all he wants is to claim his woman. My reviews always contain spoilers, I write them so I can remember the story.
Here we go again, May has a mercenary in her bed and another one who is her brother, but she’s going to handle a stalker by herself. Thankfully her sister in law, Kinsley makes her tell her brother Colt, it’s unfortunate that her friend with benefits, Aiden is standing with her at the time. His reaction to the news clues Colt in to their relationship. Aiden was a player when he was younger and has quite the reputation, but since returning to Whiskey Run two years ago he has been committed to May, he’s in love with her. But no one including May takes him seriously. Colt is pissed she’s with Aiden and upset about the stalker. Aiden promises to protect her and starts looking in to the stalker who is a doctor at the hospital where May is a nurse. Everyone thinks he is out of town but he sneaks into the hospital and corners May in a surgical suite. When he tries to leave with her at gun point Aiden gives her a clue to help rescue her. More I love yous, Colt accepting their relationship and Aiden proposing.
I’m so glad she gives all the details to Aiden about the stalker and let’s him help. I also liked seeing Aiden have to work for her believing in his love, it was refreshing to read of a character having to deal with the consequences of his player ways. Next book is Nash’s.

end of series climax
Last in the group (Nash left but he will be in the next series apparently so we will call it complete…) Aiden has gotten bad and good press throughout. Painted as a ladies man who parties hard and has a different woman every night, towards the end, certainly the last couple of books, it’s been obvious there is more to him than meets the eye and then the reveal…..
He’s Colts sisters man. Yes Colt, the irrational big brother who take over protectiveness to a new level, that one…( read Tempting the Hitman - which is technically part of another series but falls into this one too, which Matched to the Mercenary does too thinking of it….actually, please can someone write a reading order for this series because If you don’t get them all, you’ll be missing out on some fun reads!!!)

Short in length this book does pack in the action and it’s a non stop speed ride through.

Aiden and May have been friends with benefits for the past two years. But Aiden wants more, he wants May to be his everything and he wants the world to know. Aiden used to be a player but now he is madly in love with May. May still worries that Aiden has not changed and he will break her heart. These two are both afraid to admit their fears to each other which makes for a really good story with them. Do they come together, yes. But to top all that off May finally admits she has a stalker from work, Dr. Lassiter who will not take no for an answer. But what the doctor does not know is that Aiden is a member of the Ghost team from Whiskey Run and will do everything in his power to protect May. This book is a thrill ride of love and fear. When May and Aiden finally announce they are together it makes for a great HEA. Wonderful steamy parts too. Great storyline and I really enjoyed it.

Aiden & May are my new favorite book couple! They have been sneaking around for 2 years now and when Aiden (May’s older brother’s best friend and coworker) wants to tell everyone they’ve been seeing each other she freaks out. Aiden has a reputation for being a player and has always kind of gone along with it even though it’s been years since he was. Aiden is starting to feel like he’s a dirty secret and he wants to go public with their relationship because he loves May and May is afraid he’ll get tired of her and isn’t sure if she trusts in his love. May has a stalker that takes things too far after a night she spends with Aiden and he and his coworkers plan her rescue because Aiden refuses to lose May and plans to spend the rest of his life loving and taking care of her. This was another AMAZING book in the Whiskey Run : Heroes and I recommend it to everyone!

*spoilers* May and Aiden have been csually seeing in each other for two years. Aiden is May's brother Colt best friend and they work together. Everybody thinks he is a player. May tries to guard her heart but being sincere she fell for him. Aiden really is not a player anymore and loves May, who still tries to guard herself. When she has a stalker and her very protective brother sets her up on a date, the truth comes out. By trying to gurad herself May hurts Aiden, but finally she listens to her heart. But her brother does not react well and there still is the stalker...
Like all the stories of Hope Ford and Whiskey Run it melted my heart. This one was special because the relationship already existed in the beginning, May had to trust in love, I can not wait for Eden's and Nash story.

Aiden and May have been involved for 2yrs and have kept it a secret but Aiden wants to tell her brother Colt and everyone else that they're a couple since he loves her. May thinks that Aiden is a player so she's trying to protect herself and she's also dealing with a stalker that they don't know about she's trying to handle it herself. Once Aiden hears that Colt is trying to set her up with someone else he feels really hurt when May says that their relationship is nothing serious. When May is put in harm's way everything changes. I don't want to say anymore and ruin it for anyone else with spoilers. You really need to read this sexy best friends sister romance to see what happens. I would definitely recommend reading this book.

Aiden and May have been dating secretly for two years and he wanted more. Just when he is ready to confess all to his best friend May's brother, she tells him that they weren't serious. He is hurt and doesn't understand why she would say that. Her brother saying Aiden is a player doesn't help. Especially since he hadn't been with anyone since he started seeing her. When her brother finds out nothing is the same. However, when it comes out that May has been having trouble with someone at work, they all got together to handle it. Will they be able to handle the situation safely? Will May finally admit her true feelings for Aiden?
This is an amazing story that will captivate you from beginning to end. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

May and Aiden have had a friends with benefits arrangement for the past two years. Or so they thought. May has fallen in love with Aiden but he’s been known as a player and she doesn’t want to get hurt when he decides to move on. Aiden has been in love with May for a while but she’s his best friend’s younger sister and knows that’s taboo. He wants to make things real with May but how can he convince her she’s the one for him? This was one emotional read. From the stalker to the interaction between the characters both loving each other and May saying things to protect herself from being hurt. The chemistry between these two is off the charts and they are so good together. I received an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

The fifth book in Hope Ford's awesome Whiskey Run: Heroes series is Forbid, Aiden and May's story. While a standalone, Aiden and May have both appeared in the preceding books, so we know going in that they are a couple - and that her brother, Colt, is Aiden's best friend and colleague with the Ghost Team but has no idea. Their story really starts two years in, both knowing they are in love but thinking the other wants things free and easy, the way they started out. Throw in everyone finally finding out about their relationship, a stalker, and some misunderstandings, and you have a steamy, swoon-worthy and entertaining must-read romance.

Hope has a way of pulling a reader into a story and then, giving you a glimpse of the next book to make you want more.
I enjoyed Aiden and May's story, but not May. Yes, I said it. How was she dealing with a man for two years, most nights and STILL believed the worse about him. Like seriously?!? Seriously? I would have been upset too, if I was Aiden. Colt was an immature jerk and it was so uncomfortable. We don't shame people's extra adult extracurricular activities. I can see why May acted the way she did. Still not a fan but I get it.
I would get into Dr Johnson, the hospital administrator, but I will save it for Goodreads or something.

I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. This is another great addition to the Whiskey Run Heros series. Aiden and May have a complicated relationship. They have kept it hidden from those closest to them. Now that she is in danger, Aiden will not let anything stand in his way of protecting her, not even her brother. May and the others will see that he is not the same man he used to be. May loves him but has felt they could not openly have that. This story has its share of drama and danger but also family, friendship and love. I really enjoyed their story. I thought it was well written short love story with great characters.

Great books
May loved her family but she cares for Aiden too they talked about just being friends with benefits but Aiden feels more and so does may but they are afraid to tell colt her brother who is very protective

May and Aiden have been secretly seeing each other for a couple of years. He works with her brother and things have been kept quiet. Things are about to change though as she has a stalker and he swears to protect her.
Couple things bothered me in this book, but the main thing was May! I just couldn’t understand her and I really disliked her. Aiden deserved better. She deliberately hurt him, said horrible things in front of him and belittled his feelings! If it was the other way round, I don’t think this book would have scored as high. If he spends all his spare time with her when he isn’t working, how is it casual after TWO years. When he blatantly says he loves her, she plays it off. Her brother, and his so called best friend is just as bad. Maybe it’s a family thing

This was an emotional roller coaster ride. Evelyn and Matt had been high school lovers, but when he was getting ready to leave for basic Evelyn dropped a bomb on him. They were both so young, she was 16 and he was just graduated and leaving for basic and thought she should move on even though he was in love with her and vice versa. I guess he worried like some do, he may not come back alive, or worse wounded. So after 19 years he's back after something devasting happened to him while he was in the military. Have tissues ready. This is book number 5 of the Whiskey Run: Heroes series and focuses on Aiden and May. They have had a casual relationship together for 2 years without anyone knowing. They are both in love with each other and Aiden wants to stake his claim for the world to see and finally have everything with May but she is a lot more cautious with her heart because of his past player reputation and his friendship with her brother. When news of May's stalker comes out, Aiden decides enough is enough and claims his woman. This was a really great story and a great addition to the series!

This was so good. Sweet, romantic, dramatic and full of intensity both in the relationship and other events happening.
This was about May, Colt's sister who is in a casual relationship with Aiden, Colt's best friend and work mate.
The connection between Aiden and May is a little off in the beginning because she doubted his interest and sincerity but once they worked through this, their chemistry certainly ramped up. That was great to read about.
This was a great story with a feel good ending. Great book!!
