A Lane family, small-town, instalove romance in the Dad Bod — Men Built for Comfort series.
Willa I bought a dump. It’s the worst house in the most charming town I’ve ever seen. It was Roseville that sold me. Standing in my exploding kitchen, with my house falling down around my ears, my friend sends over a handyman. He’s big, handsome, and I can’t take my eyes off of him. Everything I see as a problem, he sees as an opportunity to make my home beautiful. I’m holding back because, just like this stupid house, I’m full of flaws, and he has a little girl to think about. I can’t risk hurling the Willa-disaster-zone at him, even if my heart yearns to take the leap.
Denver My business is flipping houses, not fixing them for other people. Yet, when a friend asks me to take a look at our new neighbor's rundown house, I cave. Wow, am I glad I didn't refuse, because I could look at Willa all day. In fact, I want to do more than look. I want to touch, feel, and cherish her. I can't get her out of my mind, but what would a sophisticated, big-city girl want with a small-town single dad from New Jersey? Since she's all I can think about, I guess we're going to find out.
Series Blurb:
Some of your favorite contemporary romance authors are here with a sexy selection of brawny, hot Dad Bods and the women who love their men with a little something extra to hold on to. These men may be built for comfort but don't be fooled - they will stop at nothing to protect the women who've claimed their hearts.
Roseville and the Lane family. Lovely romance abounds! The story of Willa is a sweet one but all too short. The mark of a good writer is if the story just won't let you go. I keep getting sucked into these Roseville stories, no self-control.
When I first heard that there was a group of authors setting out to write a whole series based on hefty heroes. I was beyond excited! I mean I'm all for a hero is doesn't have the 6-12 pack abs. The one who is like a giant teddy bear and can be cuddled with and keep you nice and warm on those cold nights ;)
This one was okay. I really think Denver made the book for me. No matter how distant Willa tried to act and no matter how much she pushed him away he was always there when she needed him. He may think as a single father living in a small New Jersey town he has nothing to offer a city woman like Willa, but he underestimates his appeal as he's a man who loves with his whole heart and protects those he loves. With Willa I just can't understand how it is she can act immature and not talk to Denver about her "flaws" especially when she thinks they'll hinder their future. I just hate when women who have these kind of problems think they know best for their partner and decide to leave rather than talk things out.
A cute short story. Willa buys a dump of a house after a terrible breakup. When a friend recommends a good contractor to help her. Denver is a great contractor and also a wonderful single dad. The more Willa gets to know him and his daughter, the more interested she is. The problem is, she is not good at relationships, and she isn't able to have children. Denver comes from a large family, and even though he already has one child, Willa knows that he will most certainly want more children. She can't stand the thought of never being with him. What will she do? Can Denver convince her that he just wants her?
Wonderful!! This was a nice quick, short read. I really enjoyed this one.

HEA Standalone, series, interconnected characters (Lane Family) *over 18 readers only* Insta-love, single dad
Trigger warnings Cancer death of wife Infertility, not resolved in book
He lost his wife, mother of his child, to cancer when his baby girl was still a baby. She left the big city to get away from a relationship that soured. The house she bought, although she loved it, needs a lot of work. He flips houses now, but as a favor, hires out as a handyman. He doesn't think he will get a second chance at love, and she thinks she's defective, without a first chance at love I liked how devoted he was to his daughter without living only for her. I appreciate that the author didn't give them a magical fix for her infertility, even though my heart broke for her. Another Lane Family book, another win.
She is just soooo cute, add to that Denver being his gorgeous, thoughtful, sexy, steamy self and women will be swooning everywhere! I didn't like Willa quite as much as I did Denver and Avery, she starts as this feisty, kick ass, funny woman but half way through becomes a flighty, whingy, ignore your call girl, with no explanation...and this makes her more difficult to like. But aswell as being part of the Dad Bod series this is also a cross over with the Lane Family series and I cannot wait for more of the crazy, interfering but loving Lane's. I read this on Kindle Unlimited.
Dad Bod Handyman is a fun contemporary romance by Andie Fenichel. Ms. Fenichel has provided readers with a well-written book populated with a stellar cast of characters. Willa bought a house, now that she's moved in she finds it's a disaster. Enter handyman Denver. His business is flipping houses but a friend asks him to take a look at the new neighbor's house. Denver and Willa's story is loaded with drama, humor and sexy bits. This is a fairly quick read, perfect for those with limited reading time. Dad Bod Handyman is book 21 of the Dad Bod: Men Built for Comfort Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliffhanger.
This was a bit eye-rolly because we're supposed to believe that a 25yo woman who works in advertising in NYC can afford to buy a fixer-upper and offer her handyman a blank check without even discussing quotes? Ya, OK. The dark moment comes their first morning after when his parents show up to drop off his 3yo daughter after a sleepover with the cousins and they mention how the family is known for having lots of children and how theirs was the smallest with 5. So she goes silent for a couple weeks because she can't have kids. The saving grace was that there wasn't a miracle baby pregnancy.
I really liked this book. Loved the descriptions of the house renovations, Denver's daughter, Wila's dilemma, family and friends. Wila has been neurotic it seems for a very long time and with her parents professions you'd think they would have known there were problems. Denver is a great guy. He certainly has a big family. You'll have to read the book to see what all the hub bub is about. I sympathized with Wila because of everything she's gone through. I hope you enjoy the book as much as I have. Written by Cindy :)
Willa and Denver… for Willa, the lessons seem to be about slowing down, while for Denver, it’s about waking up. The contrast between their families illustrated why each of them showed up to their connection as they did. It would have been nice to see more of Willa’s friends and how they helped her become the person she was. Also, it’s thrilling for me as a reader to see a character with multiple heritage, but it’s also a real letdown for none of that nuance to matter in the story or the character’s interactions.
Responding to a friend’s S.O.S. to assist their new neighbour, Denver finds her trying to stop her kitchen faucet from flooding the room with her sweat shirt, wearing only a bra and pants. Denver is unable to look away from Willa’s beautiful face and body. He’s never been so happy to respond to a call for help. Its not only her house repairs he wants to help her with. Willa doesn’t want to inflict her flaws onto Denver and his little girl, but Denver isn’t going to let her go that easily.
Denver Lane flips houses for a living, but he's making hearts go flip-flop in this heartwarming and steamy romance. Denver possesses a kind of easy confidence that's equal parts strong, steady, and sexy. He's an irresistible hero you'll be rooting for from the first page, and a wonderful match for Willa. A lovely read, start to finish.
This was a story of a beautiful man (soul, spirit, and the whole package) and a sweet and flawed woman who is able to shine because of the love and patience this man gives her. Loved this and all of the “Dad Bod” books. So far this one is the sweetest, still sexy but definitely sweet.
Dad Bod Handyman: He normally just Flips homes and sells them but then he was ask to help a neighbor out and look at her house. Denver was going over to give Willa an estimate. Then Denver hear yell for help and broke down the door. He saw a wet but beautiful women battle with water spraying all over the place. It was a wonderful story!
I loved Denver. He was such a compelling lead character. His daughter was also cute - I do enjoy when an author can add a kid and it be mostly realistic with how the child acts. Overall really enjoyable story and I will have to go read more from this author.
I loved this single dad Instalove romance. I think what I loved most was her inability that have kids and how that effected her view on relationships/how she hesitated getting involved with this yummy single dad.
Willa finds a handyman to work on her fixer-upper, and he works on her heart, too. Despite excuses from Willa about why she's not the right girl, he wins her over in the end. I recommend this book to readers of romance books.
Good fluffy romance with bit insecurities which needed to be addressed more but I fathom that's a short novella but it would have given more depth for the story. Overall loved Denver and Willa they was lovable and great
This was a cute story of heartache, romance and finding your forever person. It was very endearing and I'm sure you all would enjoy reading this story as much as I did.
