Addison Michael writes riveting, character-driven thrillers heavy in suspense with a focus on the intriguing motivations that make a person a murderer.
Addison grew up in a home where rules were not meant to be broken. As such, she was the "goodest" of the “goody two shoes” around. At 16 years-old, she survived a deadly head-on car collision. With a twinge of survivor's guilt, she developed a morbid fascination with who lives and who dies and why.
Being the oldest of six siblings forced Addison to lead by example. Her golden reputation solidified well into her thirties. But every good girl needs to have an outlet. Behind every smile and sweet comment, there is a dark side waiting to emerge. Addison Michael found the outlet for her dark side writing thrillers. She has an uncanny ability to step outside herself and create believable characters who navigate unbelievable circumstances involving murder, mystery, secrets, and suspense.

Dawn That Brings Death A Mynart Mystery Thriller, Book 2 By: Addison Michael Narrated by: Mira Williams
Addison Michael continues Paige's story and wow. That is all I can say! This story, like the first packs a punch. Paige has run back to Canada, found a job and is starting a new life. Hooking up with her old best friend James is an added benefit! After all, finding love helps make life better. But her job has her constantly thinking. She is now a CIO, a detective of sorts and is on a mission to find the Deliver and Dash murderer. Steven is back in the states, recovering from the gunshot he got at the end of the first book. Angry and hurt, he can't understand why Paige would leave him. His bitterness has him searching for her. But what he finds is not only a surprise, but the last thing he would ever expect. This thrilling story had me on edge. Each scene had me going down a path, and trying to figure out the answers was something that would not happen until the very end! It;s an exciting listen and left me wanting more of these amazing characters.
Mira Williams continues her narration of the series and I am loving her. She gets each of the characters and has a voice that fits perfectly. From nameless to Darby, she adds a flair to the individuals making them easy to follow and either love or love to hate! I truly enjoy her and can't wait for more!

A haunting paranormal thriller with relentless suspense and complex character development.
Paige Deffer's story continues in this gripping second book where she's fled the Mynart Murder House and ended up working for the Winnipeg Police Service while being hunted herself. Michael has created a clever setup here - a woman with a deadly past helping police catch killers while dodging her own demons, both literal and ghostly. The paranormal bits work well with the mystery without taking over completely, and Paige's reunion with childhood friend James brings some romantic tension into all the danger.
I found myself rooting for Paige despite her questionable choices, which speaks to Michael's skill. The way she balances protecting her daughter with her own survival instincts keeps you turning pages. The pacing stays tight as this deranged killer closes in, and Michael knows how to build genuine tension without cheap tricks. The ghost haunting Paige works both as plot element and as a reminder that the past has a way of catching up with you, which makes this more than your typical chase story. Good character-driven suspense that delivers on the thrills.
Overall: 5 of 5 stars Performance: 5 of 5 stars Story: 5 out of 5 stars Reviewed: 10-11-22
Dark, haunting and horrifying with a definite chilling noir feel. “Dawn That Brings Death” is a creepy good psychological thriller! The writing is excellent, the character development divine, the narration beautiful, and the twist filled plot that manages to be interesting and intense, yet easy to follow combine to create a truly perfect experience! I admit I was stunned at the reveal with this one. I had a few suspects in mind but THIS reveal took me completely by surprise! No spoilers, when you listen, you’ll see exactly what I mean, and speaking of listening, the top quality narration will make that a pleasure indeed! Five stars!
Paige has run away again. She is in Canada and working with the police there as a CIO - Civilian Intelligence Officer., which is rather odd considering her past. She is on the Deliver and Dash case. Meanwhile, Steven her ex-boyfriend is fighting for his life after being shot and she left him there on the floor. She thought he was dead, but he wasn't, and it has taken a long time to come back to 'the land of the living'. He has to find Paige, to ask her why she left him to die. Paige has a few surprises he doesn't know about. This story is a continuance from the last one. It will leave you wanting more. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
Paige, a Central Intelligence Officer under the supervision of her Lieutenant, has three female victims unalived. With evidence stacked against one person, Paige feels she’s missing something right under her nose. The closer she comes to finding the truth the faster her life begins to unravel. Once again, Paige and those closest to her are in danger. Plus the secrets Paige ran from are starting to catch up to her.
This series has such personable character development! The drama that unfolds in the characters lives keeps the pages turning! The mysteries and the thrills are there with twists and turns! An absolute must read series! Looking forward to the next in this series!
I was so consumed with listening to all 3 books at once I did not realize I forgot to leave reviews for books 2 & 3 of this series. In this book Paige flees to Canada where she carves out a life for herself and her child. She knows people are looking for her but she tries to stay under the radar. The tragedy she left behind continues to haunt her as the mystery unravels. There are so many unexpected twists. Mira Williams delivers a great performance.
this book picks up were the first one stopped. we find Paige has run from her problems and moved to Canada. She has started a new job in hope to make up for all the wrongs she has done in the past. Little does she know that her past is about to come back to haunt her. Great new characters and good storyline.
Read the first book before this one to get the most out of the characters and their relationships. This book defines page turner - there is a lot going on and I really liked their credibility - flaws, mistakes, regrets and all. The ending was a surprise, and done in a very believable way. The author led me down a path and then pivoted it!
I really enjoyed this, so well written and narrated. There were enough twists and turns to keep you really interested and the narration just added so much to it. It was really addictive and I had to keep listening to it.
I am so glad I found both this author and narrator and will definitely by on the lookout for more by them both.
Paige escaped from her abusive relationship and is now living in Canada with her young daughter…she is finally moving on…or so she thinks. A killer is out for revenge.
This was an okay book. Didn't care for the main character - Paige. Strange how she moves back to her home country and suddenly is in law enforcement and trying to solve cases. Didn't fit with her character in the first book in the series.
I don't even know where to begin. What a great story. The author created a wide variety of characters, some likeable & some not. I love a book that will send your mind in one direction as you read & then unravels into something else. This was one of those books. A new author for me & she has my attention. A. Page turner for sure with twists you won't see coming. Loved it and can't wait for more.
Dawn That Brings Death: A Psychological Thriller (A Mynart Mystery Thriller Book 2), my second outstanding read from author Addison Michael, was an 8-hour 1-minute/310-page read that grabbed me and kept me reading until I finished it in 1 sitting. “I received a free Audible copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. I look forward to reading more from this author and in particular, Truth That Dawns: A Psychological Thriller (A Mynart Mystery Thriller Book 3), when I get it. Narrator Mira Williams' reading of the book again adds to its enjoyment. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).
5⭐️ I thought the first book was amazing but damn this book is even better! I sped thru the pages when I had time to read and I enjoyed the entirety of the book. The ending was so unexpected I can’t wait to pick up the next book and continue reading!!
