The fourth book in a brand new series from Chris Smith.
Steve Savage and his team of bounty hunters are still on the track of Andy Sheridan and his gang of desperadoes when they are summoned to appear before the governor of Texas for a mysterious mission. A missing professor and a madman hellbent on restoring the Confederacy are the beginning of Steve's most hair-raising and exciting adventure yet.
Soon he's up to his ears in the kind of trouble that seems to follow him around. He and his friends are going to have to rely on each other and their unique skills to survive. Not everything is as it seems, and there are twists and turns galore in this exciting new adventure in the Steve Savage, Bounty hunter series from exciting new author, Chris Smith.
Chris Smith has pushed the boundary a bit in his previous books, in terms of bringing some new ideas to the traditional western, and this 4th book in the series doesn't fail to deliver on his usual exciting formula.
This book reads like the baby that Fast & Furious and Magnificent Seven would have after a wild night in Vegas. BANG! POP! WHOOSH! It's fast paced, crazy, but believable, and really entertaining. The plot is full of intrigue and action, and there's a twist at the end that I didn't see coming. Loved it!
The plot is deserving of a movie or a series on Netflix. Come on, Netflix. Make it happen!
I loved this book. It reminded me a lot of the Wild Wild West movie. Gadgets, intrigue, espionage. Chris Smith has taken the western genre and added a bit of a blockbuster movie feel to it. I love traditional westerns, like Louis L'Amour, Mike Mackessey, and Zane Grey, but this one really grabbed my attention.
There were frequent plot twists, a threat to the safety of the entire USA, and detailed fight scenes that made me feel like I was right there in the middle of the action.
I don't want to give away spoilers, so I'm just going to encourage you to read the book for yourself. You will be as hooked as I was.
The bounty hunting tream are still looking for Sheridan, the last gang member of Steve's family murderers. The governor of Texas has asked the team to stop a fanatical group from starting another civil war. It is amazing how strong and intelligent these men are. On to the next book!
Another great, action packed story of the three Bounty hunters. Easy to read and follow. Having read the whole series, it adds another block but if you haven't read the others, this still a great standalone story.
Wow, what an adventure. A very original and exciting story. Hard to write a review without giving away spoilers. Needless to say, you need to read this.
I got this book on Amazon recommended by my friend who is also a fan of action novels and western culture stories. Got curious about his feedback so I bought a copy and got fascinated reading chapter by chapter like I am watching episodes of an action-adventure series on Netflix. The author has made his characters as colorful and exaggerated as possible, while also making them very relatable to what it is like to be a cowboy in our modern world. It was very eye-opening and gave me material to think about. I loved the story arc of this book and how it was so well balanced by a complex set of characters that really added to enrich the storyline. This book contains a lot of excitement and euphoria. All in all an easy read and definitely worth your while!
