What do you do when the man of your dreams is real?
Kiera Wade never thought the man she had been dreaming about was anything more than a figment of her imagination. On a mission to save her crew, Kiera crash lands in hostile Atlantean territory, where she finds out her dream lover, Phoenix, is real and claims she is his destined soulmate.

When Tai isn’t writing, she can be found catering to her two neurotic cats or touring the latest haunted house that rolls into Austin. Tai also has a wonderful husband and two Swedish Valhunds, along with the aforementioned cats.
Phoenix’s Touch is the first book in the Soul Bonded in the Stars series by Tai James, and it’s an interesting start to the series. If I’m being completely honest, this one had me a bit conflicted. Despite the conflict – initially, I could not decide if I wanted to round my three-point-five-star rating up or down – it was one that had me happily powering through the pages.
Phoenix’s Touch was a story with plenty of moving parts that had me curious to see how the pieces would come together. With plenty of details that had me eager to see what happened next, the story was easy to devour in no time. Although the story had me desperate to see how everything played out, I felt there were parts of the worldbuilding that were not as fleshed out as I would have liked. My fingers are crossed that these details will be explained more in the future books, as there is so much potential for so many of the elements involved.
All in all, an intriguing start to a series with a lot of promise.
DNF 51%. Started off interesting but unfortunately the momentum of the story was hi jacked by cozy get to know you sequences in the midst of serious circumstances. Yes let’s go shopping and have a meet-the-family dinner while the FMC’s crew mates are fighting for their lives in space.
This book is a fantastic start to this series. Featuring humans, Atlanteans, a common enemy an various other aliens, it’s full of danger, action, soulmates, steamy scenes and more. It’s a must read if you love alien romance books. The world building and storyline is incredible with amazing characters to boot.

I loved this book! Great world building. I loved the characters. They had great chemistry together. They also had their own insecurities and uncertainties and that made them relatable. I also completely loved Mia and can't wait for her book. Very well written. This was the first book I've read by this author and it was a wonderful adventure. 5 stars.
I loved this book and will be looking out for more books by this author. I signed up for a free copy of this book in exchange for a honest review. I’ve had a really bad cold these last few days and in the gaps were I was feeling somewhat normal, when the medicine kicked in, I eagerly returned to reading this novel. I absolutely loved the characters, even the supporting ones and I’m hoping to read about them all in the books that follow. Tia James did a wonderful job of describing the planet and the people involved in the story, it felt very immersive. The two main characters Phoenix and Mia were wonderful. They both had their issues and insecurities that they were dealing with, as we all do, even if we hide them. So to me it was very relatable in ways, but you could still escape in the fantasy. I appreciated that the characters were thoughtfully fleshed out. I loved the whole Atlantean theme of the story, and what became of the mythical ancient people of Earth lore. I don’t want to include spoilers, so I’ll just leave off by saying once again, that I absolutely loved this book. I would gladly recommend this book to anyone interested in sci-fi alien romance, which is totally my jam ; )

Pilot Kiera Wade was in love with a dream. Even on a date with someone, she didn’t respond with them because they didn’t have his eyes or his hair or his skin. All the things that drew him to her dream lover kept her from appreciating anyone else. No one else was like Phoenix. He was her fantasy and her dream. No one else compared. Her best friend, Mia Grey, walked up and sent her date away, taking his seat so he got the message this time. She played a game until she couldn’t keep her eyes open and returned to her quarters.
To save the crew from the Scavengers who incapacitated their ship and were waiting for them to pass out without life support, Kiera crash lands in hostile Atlantean territory. If she is captured, she could be killed. But she must get help quickly for her shipmates before the Scavengers harvest their organs or sell them as slaves. But instead, she finds her dream lover, Phoenix, is real, not a dream, and tells her she is his destined soulmate.
Phoenix Vasilakis, a prominent Atlantean orator, is willing to risk everything to help Kiera. But a secret could destroy everything between them. What choices are left to them as time is quickly running out to save her shipmates? Will she get help for them in time? Or will everyone she cares about die?
Kiera is the navigator aboard the Pax ship the Henson. A horrible accident that killed her parents left her body scarred without the proper medical attention. Which, as the ward of the state, was deemed unnecessary n too expensive. Passed from one foster family to another she was told she was pathetic n unworthy. She worked long n hard to achieve her position, often forgoing interaction with others. Even now she prefers the solitude of her cabin, where she dreams of a lover who worships her n fires her passion. Phoenix is an Atlantean who treasures the moments spending time with Keira in her dream state. After repeatedly telling her he's real n not part of her imagination, he gave up n just enjoyed her presence. But he has his own demons, as a genetic anomaly causes him to go in berserker mode when highly aroused. When the Henson ship is attacked by scavengers, Keira is launched in a pod to seek help. She crash lands on an Atlantean planet where Phoenix lives. Will they help Kiera?? Or will they turn their backs n refuse to offer aid?
This was a Kindle recommended read. I hadn't read anything by the author previously. I enjoyed certain aspects of the book. The nod to Atlantean mythos was interesting. I enjoyed Keira's interactions with the other members of the crew aboard her ship, and her reaction to Phoenix's culture and family. I liked the political aspects of the Atlantean culture as well, but I do think things went on a little long and were a bit over the top.
There was something about the pace and writing that made this hard to fall into. I liked the story, but I wasn't fully invested in it. I'm not sure if I will read the next book in the series. The premise didn't really appeal to me, but I may change my mind.
This is my first book from this author that I am reading, and they are now on my watch list! The male lead was kind endearing and not pushy to the female lead - while the female lead was also trying to balance understanding how the male lead is feeling towards her BUT her mission as well. I thought it was just really well balanced and loved that. The beginning at times oddly felt slow/draggy, but it was also important to the overall plot. However everything was described well and I wasn't really left questioning any of the world building AT ALL - which was huge for me. Definitely recommend!

This was such nice easy read, great scifi romance adventure. Kiera had a man of her dreams, literally, pheonix only appears to her when she sleeps. But when Kieras ship is attacked, and left helpless. She is sent to get help before the scavengers can raid it. But she has to pass through a system that is off limits, and ends up crash landing on one of the planets. Pheonix planet.
I loved the characters, especially the side characters. I think if they werenpart of the story then i would not of wnjoyed it as much. The world building was simple but effective, and the writing style was perfect for me, read this so quickly.
I enjoyed this, and want to read the rest in thia series

This is my first time reading this author. The storyline is good and interesting. It’s truly a feel good story. A ship was attacked and left so that some evil aliens could take over. The humans are smart and send Kiera in a pod to help. Kiera is stopped by a people for flying in their no Fly zone. Surprisingly Kiera finds her soulmate on their planet. Their journey begins there. . . . Read On!
I didn’t realize this would be insta-love/insta-lust!! The story starts out with them already having shared a bunch of sexy dreams together and falling in love off-page, but I was hoping we’d get to spend some time exploring those dreams before the MCs met in person. Build the tension, and all that
I also wasn’t a fan of FMC stopping to drool over MMC and chat about their relationship while she’s on an incredibly important, time-sensitive mission.
The first book in the Soul Bonded in the Stars series by a new Author to me, I saw there is a prequel to this story so I bought it. Kiera Wade and Phoenix Vasilakis, a prominent Atlantean orator and the unwilling leader of change's story. The story is well written and well worth reading. A very action packed and entertaining book. But I didn't like romance. These 2 are too melodramatic for my liking. Kiara and Phoenix are both facing threats to their society but decide now is ok to moon over each other.

Very interesting, the heroine and hero met in a dream. She was the hero's soul mate. This story has some political challenges. Love the secondary characters. Hope there is a story about the hero's sister. Her character is a bad a$$. Looking forward to the second book due summer 2022. Kudos to the author👏👏👏👏👏
Wow! This is my first read from this author and I can honestly say that I had a hard time putting it down. The world building is fantastic and the characters are well thought out. I loved that Tai came up with a new idea for Atlanteans. I look forward to reading more of this series.
This is a fantastic sci-fi/fantasy romance.. I liked it very much! It is mysterious and mesmerizing, with lots of drama and danger.. Fated mates and a race to save lives!

If you like Stargate, this gives me a touch of Stargate Atlantis vibes regarding the big baddie and the Atlantians. I really enjoyed this one. It was easy to get into. Good steam, good tension, good plot.

A great series to kick off here with good world building, well developed characters with fated mates theme but also full of suspense, danger and heat. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is a first time reading Tai James and I definitely want to read more.
What an incredible story! Phoenix and Kiera are soulmates and until now had only been together in their dreams! What Kiera doesn't know is these dreams are real and on Phoenix's planet they are normal.
Pretty solid writing. Meeting your dream lover in your dreams then crash landing on his planet after evil aliens take over your ship is certainly one way to start a romance.

It’s a decent read I love the story but felt like the main characters themselves feel kinda flat. It has a good plot just could’ve been a lot better IMO
