I'm a bestselling author of dark mafia, billionaire, and paranormal romance. I love to read and write about hot, filthy talking alphas that would burn the world down for the women they love.
I love chatting to readers about my books, or books in general, so please get in touch! You can follow me on Facebook and instagram as well as on here as Sadie Kincaid Author.
To say I was pissed after the last book is an understatement I was so angry at the ending, the author had this way with words that got me so invested in the story
Again the second book also leaves on a cliffhanger but this one leaving me eager instead of angry It’s a good book and focuses on the relationship between Conor and Jessie If you start this book you will not be able to put it down!
I simple just don't like it Shane treated her worse than shit and she still had sex with him not only that but it seems she has no self respect they literally locked her in their basement and she forgive them so easily I thought there would be some kind of groveling but there was none whatsoever and am honestly disappointed
Shane is gross and annoying. I hate him with my entire soul. I'm grossed out by Conor this book. The twins are fine but no one treats Jessie like a person at all.
OH MAN!!!!! my mind was in overdrive, with all sorts of scenarios going through my head as Sadie's story panned out, giving me a few OH MY GOD MOMENTS!.... The scenes between Conor, Liam, Mikey and Jessie are HAWTTTTTTTT!!!!! BUT I think they will be mellow compared to what I feel is building between Shane and Jessie, I can't wait for them to both finally connect again! I loved the back story into The 4 Ryan Brothers past with their Dad, it made them more endearing to me as we got a glimpse into the horrific childhood they endured with him, making me understand why the 4 boys are so tight. BUTTTTT who is "THE WOLF"?????? I'm dying to know...... Loving this series and can't wait to read more. *****
I was excited to read this book after the first one but I was disappointed after reading it. The book had no growth plot wise, we learnt very little that was new in this book that we already didn't know. At some point it felt like all I was reading about was sex. Don't get me wrong, I do love me some steamy sex scenes. I just feel like some characters did not live up to their potential like wolf for example he remained some kind of a "would be" threat that never materialised. Also I would have appreciated if Jessie had led a bit more adventurous life or if we had been taken through a bit of her pov when she was on the run. All in all this felt like a dragged out forgiveness crusade.

I wish Jessie & Shane realize they’re the same. That they punish themselves more than the others accountable. The last 15 pages — again I have another thousand questions and still no answers. Not one.
"I know that it hurts now. But I would feel this every day for the rest of my life for one more moment like that with you. It was worth it, wasn't it?" I turn to look at him and can see the pain in his eyes even in the faint light of the room."
This was such a huge disappointment. Like the. WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT... a kind of feeling.
The first book of the series gave me 50/50 of okay it wasn't wow, but maybe it will get better. BUT NO. Ryan Redemption didn't even have a plotline at all. It went by so fast that it felt like I blinked from the first chapter, and everything was finished.
It did end with a cliffhanger. I was frustrated and happy with Conner, but I wish there had been more plotline development than we were given.
"Of course I did. That was always the plan. I told you I would burn the world down to find you, Jessie. Didn't you believe me?"
I feel like this whole series could have fit into 2 books 6 seems unnecessary the plot is dragged out I don’t know why but I’ll be reading the 3rd book anyways LOL 😂
Can a mess of a series get worse? Yes. Yes, it can. Will I keep reading to see how bad it gets? I will until my eyes roll so far into my head, I can’t see anymore.
It's getting a little better. There was more plot. And I LOVED that Jessie and Conor spent almost half of the book together.
Jessie needs to have some more respect! I get that she hurt all of them and mostly Shane but it was a misunderstanding on both sides. After all Shane said and did she's the one apologizing, and they never even mentioned what HE did. I'm raging!!
And I don't appreciate that when he thought of his feelings towards her and missed her, he made it all about sex. How good it was, how good it would be...bla bla. There were only a few moments where he dug deeper than that.
I don't know if Shane has an arc here. But now I hate him and I wish I could skip his chapters and their interactions in general.
Her relationship with twins is a little more believable but I still didn't see much. Maybe the next book will be more about them.
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Genre: mafia Spice: 🥵yes Series: New York Ruthless, book 2
Thoughts - book 2 picks up straight after book 1 so be sure to start at the beginning… lemme tell you, my heat broke for the first 1/3 and what unfolds. In all fairness though you completely understand where all sides are coming from but it still hurt. Conor is the MVP by a mile this book, I really enjoy his juxtaposition of mr nice guy/ ruthless killer. special mention for that last chapter, you know something is coming but that cliffhanger!!!! Definitely read of your after a RH Mafia family who will stop at nothing to keep their woman… but will she stop at nothing to keep them!
Plot - willingly walking into the hands of the Russian mafia Jessie thought she might finally get some answers. Everything looks the same but nothing feels like it should. The Ryan brothers are not going to let Jessie leave, not without her giving some answers first, but everything goes tits up with daddy dearest comes knocking and Jessie does all that she can, and gets as far away from everyone as fast as possible.
* ⚠️ Trigger warnings * Reverse Harem * Touch her and die * Found family * Fierce MFC
“You’ve had so much Irish in you, I’m surprised you’re not talking Gaelic,” 💦😂
The same issue I had with the first book, I feel nothing. Nothing for the characters or the plot. There isn't enough time given to us to experience a connection. I'd happily read a book twice this length using the new pages to add description, foreshadowing and build up. Everything just happened so there was never any suspense. I also felt the characters and their actions were two dimensional, as readers we just didn't have the time to get to know them and their motivations. I think these books need to go back on the drawing board, use this as a first draft and continue to build off of them. There needs to be more substance to the series. Unfortunately, I can't keep going with the series because it's just not worth my time. It's really sad because I do love the premise and I see so much potential. Hopefully in future series Kincaid will add more writing behind her wonderful ideas.
Loved this addition the the Ryan brothers series and can’t wait to see what happens next! This was a quick read and picked right up after Sadie took off on her men, thinking her long dead father was back and telling her the truth about the Ryan’s trying to sell her back to the Wolf. Throughout the story there were lots of plot twists, spice and plenty of Shane and Jessie fights, which I always enjoyed. This book ends on a cliffhanger and sets up really well for book 3- which can’t come soon enough! I received this book as an ARC and am leaving my review voluntarily.
i very much enjoyed the second book 📖to this series. the boys are lost without there hacker girl. so they go get her back. but jessie s father wont have it trys to take her back. so the brothers let her run. but they want her back conor has found her so goes to get her back we get to see more of Jessie s life .Shane loves and hates her. but as normal the author has left it on a cliffhanger. a very talented writer i recomend all her books very steamy
In my opinion, this trashy series just keeps getting better. Sadie Kincaid fulfills my smut craving but if I have to see the words ‘wet heat’ one more time I’m going to loose it.
WOW!!! only way to describe the first half of the story, Jessie discovers her father is alive and the Ryan Brothers are out for blood and answers to why she left them with the stranger. The story will tear at your heart.
Conor, Mikey, and Liam are struggling to come to terms with Jessie’s decision, but no one is having a harder time than Shane.
They eventually realize that Jessie has been manipulated by her father, and when they learn about what she had to endure to keep her complaint quiet, their anger intensifies. Jessie, upon discovering the truth, feels guilty for the predicament she has put them in.
Shane makes a decision that affects everyone involved: he allows Jessie to leave, not fully understanding the consequences of his actions.
It takes Conor two months to find her, and when he finally does, she is a welcome sight. Conor goes to great lengths to support her, and an unfortunate incident provides Jessie with a new perspective. Ultimately, she decides to return to New York with Conor.
Upon their return, everyone is thrilled to have her back—except for Shane. Their relationship is fraught with tension; trust has been broken, and Shane struggles with forgiveness.
However, a dire situation arises when Liam is taken, forcing them all to move heaven and earth to rescue him.
I didn’t love book one and while I didn’t exactly “love” this one either, I think I’m starting to get a hang of this authors’ writing style. The books aren’t very dark or ‘mafia’, in fact they’re very light on plot. They’re mostly smut with some relationship drama mixed in. A little disappointing, but I’m committed to finishing the series (but probably nothing else by this author…).
The first book focused heavily on Jessie’s relationship development with oldest brother Shane. Unfortunately she quickly blows up any progress she made at the end of book 1 and they are still, for the most part, estranged in this book.
This book is fairly uneventful and is focused on her re-establishing a relationship with middle brother Conor. Almost the entirety of this book takes place over 4 days, as Jessie and Conor road-trip across (a.k.a. Fuck their way across) the US, back home to NYC. Shortly after arriving back home, book 2 ends on another dramatic cliffhanger.
nothing happened honestly. this could have easily been the prequel for book 3. which should then have actually been book 2 but it was sweet so 2 stars lol
this book was pretty short which made it a quick read. If it was any longer I would’ve dnfed it but alas I made it through. I wish their relationship would progress with more showing through actions than talking with the talking already being minimal. I wanna see more sweet little actions rather than them just solving every issue with sex. This is second book there’s only so much of that I want to read before it gets boring and repetitive.
Very upset that this book was very dragged out. She could have put those 5/6 days that Jessie and Conor were fucking in motels all over the USA into 2/3 chapters, not the whole book. Gave me all the sex scenes but left me on a cliff hanger. Anyways I will be reading book 3 cause I need to know what happens next! Lol
