The skill it takes to distill effective horror down to a page or two...this whole anthology is excellent, and a pleasure to read. A great variety of theme and tone, with every story a winner. Some hit closer to me than others, but there wasn't a bad one in the bunch. Highlights for me included WRONG STORY by Seanan McGuire, WOULD YOU LIKE TO RATE YOUR EXPERIENCE? by Sarah Day, ONLY SONG by Avra Margariti, THE ALGORITHM OF ABERRATION by AJ Hartson, TO SHANE ON THE SECOND ANNIVERSARY OF HIS DEATH by Jennifer Shelby, NO AVOIDANCE BEHAVIOR FROM THE THUMBS by Donna J. Munro, THE HOLY WAYS OF MATHEMATICS by Rosemary Claire Smith (I cackled on the plane), THE EMPTY LOT ON FESCUE STREET by Matt Brandenburg (the creepiest in the bunch, imo), and UNDERNEATH by D.S. Ullery. This is an excellent book to read snippets from, as the stories are short and engaging, or sit and plow through, since there's nothing repetitive about it. Kudos on a beautifully curated anthology!
