After Conrad’s faked death, the O'Callaghans are in a tailspin, with no idea how close the real traitors are.
I’m trying to follow Sorcha’s moves, but my secrets aren’t done with me yet. Frederick is hunting me, determined to kill me now that I’m part of another Family, and my father is twisting things to his own advantage to get me back under his wing. I call my friends to help me with the chaos in Seattle but even with their help shit is getting out of control.
Our group is forced to face the demons of our pasts and present, knowing that there is no future unless we make it through. But as we try to weather the storms in our relationships, there is war brewing in our city.
It's honestly so brave of the author to just write about whatever her Sims household does while on autonomous mode with the wicked whims mod downloaded. Because that would explain the forced romance interactions between characters. There's no HEA and the story just leaves off. You know exactly like when you get bored with a Sims Household and just never open that save file again?
Beauty of Betrayal by Suki Williams is a mafia reverse harem romance. This is the second book in the Lies and Loves duet.
I absolutely love Suki's books. I was pulled in from the first chapter and couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. I really enjoyed the relationship that bloomed between Blake, Robin, Conrad, Wulfric, and Atlas.
I also really enjoyed that we got Sorcha, Troy, Conrad, Blake, Robin, Atlas, and Wulfric's points of view throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.
The book ended quickly but I am excited by the author's note that we will be seeing more of these characters in the Queens of Hearts Trilogy.
I would recommend this series if you like dark romances, mafia romances, reverse harem romances, MMFMM romances, or romantic suspense.
I was excited for this book to finally come out. I loved the storyline and all the characters. The writing was outstanding! The only complaint I have was that I felt like Blake was pushed to the side a bit in terms of relationships. They felt a bit forgotten to me. Plus there were quite a few big issues within their group that never got resolved. I specifically wanted Blake and Atlas to finally have a talk but they never do, he never corrects her about saying they are a “monster” and he ends up with the other guys. Since this was the end of Blake’s story I was a bit disappointed we never got any resolution.
I Give this Book a 4.5/5 Star Rating, Listing as High 4. *For those who don’t know yet, Book 1 Has been updated and expanded, and is now a Duet rather than Trilogy. If you haven’t read the updated version, make sure you do, you don’t wanna miss all the good stuff that was added! 🥰
No Spoilers! 😁
HEA(?): Yes!, Love these characters so much, I’m absolutely thrilled that we’ll see these characters again even in other characters book(s). Relationship Type: RH: Reverse Harem: Wulfric/Conrad/Blake/Robin/Atlas M/M(?): Yes! Heat: 4.5/5 Romance: 4.5/5 Pacing: Mid pacing, and is not rushed at all, the story isn’t compressed for the readers sake as in ‘hurry and get everything done’, there’s breathing space and a welcomed open plotted ending for any future books, so the characters can be revisited at a later date ☺️
Dark: 3.5/5, This book may be darker for others ☺️ Drama: 4-4.5/5 Suspense: 4-4.5/5
You ever get to the end of a series and just have to sit there for a minute to process everything? This is one of those books. I feel like I got hit with a mack truck after seeing some of the information and feelings that were pulled from these characters. It was an emotional journey for sure with a ton of obstacles to overcome, some with the main group and some from outside forces. It was a lot to take in, because how do you approach so many different relationships at once, each having a different level of intimacy and history between them? This group is the definition of complication yet they somehow worked and fit together when they probably shouldn't. The amount of trauma each person had and how they handled it was different, unique, and sometimes unhealthy. However, at the end of the day, they were handling them. Sometimes with baby steps, sometimes after being pushed, or sometimes because they were finally ready to take that step and knew everyone would be there to support them. Honestly, what I really think kept this group so strong is that they wanted nothing less than to make each other happy, no matter what that entailed.
The plotline for this duet was incredible. Dangerous, full of mystery and suspense, and constantly keeping me on the edge of my seat so I could see what Suki would pull out of her sleeve next. Just when I thought I had things figured out, a new player entered the field causing even more conflict, disrupting what we knew and proving it to be false in some way. I've never had my switch flipped so quickly for some characters, going from liking them to hating them or vice versa. I'm talking jaw dropping secrets revealed that completely changed my point of view. Suki did an incredible job with this duet.
Although Blake and their men's stories seem done at the moment, I have a feeling they are going to be back with an explosion, maybe even literally, because you never know with this group. I don't consider this duet ending with a "happily ever after". Not even a "happily for now". If anything it is a "work in progress" because nothing with this group will ever be easy. What relationship ever is? There will always be hard decisions to make, pasts and traumas to admit to and confront, secrets to be unveiled, and a whole lot of communication to get to the place they need to be. I look forward to seeing more from them. Maybe even in Nicolette's Queen of Hearts series.
I didn't want this series to finish. BUTTTTTT.....atleast the ending was worth it. And you will see why. Before I begin, I do want to point out that there are triggers in this book that might not go well for some. So please check those out before reading. I'm trying to warn you ahead of time because it does get DARK AF!!🖤 Beauty of Betrayal was sensational!!!! I was so excited for this book because Blake and the men just make you feel some type of way. There is so much going on in this book that you can't put it down, not even to use the restroom. Makes you think how I did that...lol! This book had me in a roller coaster of emotions because of the things you learn and how you can feel it affects everyone. But the way everyone shows their love is just amazing! I do want to say that at first, I was a little ehhhh about Ansel. But he is one of the characters I fell in love with! Another character that I found really intriguing was Atlas. He and Ansel really squished my black heart! 🖤 The spice in this book was yummm!!! I wish we got to see more of it but it was still amaze balls!! 💦😈💦 I didn't expect the turn of events. But let me just say that the ending for those who deserved it....well I can't say how pleased I was. So all in all, this book ended in a way that just did it. I do want to point out that Suki Williams did leave a door open so that we may come back and revisit this amazing character. (I freaken hope so!) You also get information from characters of another series that Suki Williams is writing. I can't wait to read what else she has in store!! I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did! 🖤 Happy Reading! 😈 🖤Christian O.🖤
It feels so good to be back in Suki Williams writing world, her stories are always so unique and like nothing I've ever read before. This book is honestly so hard to review, because it was so good that I don't want to spoil a single moment!
I'm so in love with the relationship dynamics for Blake's story. Even though the series is labeled RH, I'd consider it more polyam, as EVERYONE is mingling together. I wouldn't want these relationships any other way, all of these different pairings have so much chemistry together, while working perfectly as a whole. I never want to pick a favorite (that's the point of why choose after all 😉) but Robin+Atlas really push me to break that rule.
After this story I feel like I know Blake so much better. They were guarded in the last book, revealing pieces of themselves one at a time, but now I know them so much more as a character. I'm going to need loads of Nic+Blake+Emmerich side stories in the future because I know these 3 can get into some interesting trouble together, and there's no way I want to completely say goodbye to them!
This series was entertaining from start to finish! I give the author a lot of credit for ending the story here, though I am not ready to say goodbye, this is a natural ending to Blake's story. And thankfully the world continues on from here!
There is so much happening in this book that it felt hard to keep up. There was also a ton of repetitive sentences that sometimes took away from a scene. In one scene it was like I was reading the same sentence over and over in one paragraph. Con’s issues still seem a little flat for me. Everyone talks about him from before but if I read correctly. Blake didn’t meet him until after all the stuff started happening to him. So how do they know him from before? I was under the impression his personality was all an act. Not to mention that in his first smut scene with Blake and Wulf he was all in, and it was a pounding, where as at the end nothing had changed other than people knew about the abuse. So it just didn’t line up in my brain. The relationships between all the characters still feels unresolved and confusing. I know that we will see more of these characters in Nic’s series but I don’t think it will be enough to tie up the questions still remaining. I also feel like I missed something at the end. Is Liam alive? Did Wulf get sent to kill him but let him go? What does it have to do with Blake meeting the family all those years ago? Who will run Seattle now? So if this was the last installment of this series I still clearly have lots of questions.
If you know me, you know I’m obsessed with anything Suki writes , but I’ll admit I was nervous when she announced Blake’s story was going to be a duet. This storyline has so much depth and emotion that I didn’t think could be condensed down into two books.
Suki forgive me. You nailed it and I should never have doubted you. This book starts right where the first installment left us and I don’t think it ever slowed down. Suki was a master manipulator when it came to expressing Blake and their harems emotions on page. I found myself often breathless with emotion.
No spoilers here, but the events, the wrap up. It was all perfection. The way betrayal and trauma was handled was as realistic as these characters. I’m sad to see this story end. Blake and their guys have become one of my favorite character groups. I look forward to seeing them in the next installment of Nics story.
If you’re ready for every emotion you though possible to hit you in the face, amazing character development, healing, and spice you’ll love this final installment to Blakes duet.
This is the ending of Blake and their mens story. I wasn't sure if I was going to continue the story or not because in the first book I had a hard time with Blake's pronouns throwing me out of the story sometimes. I figured I would start this book and if I had a hard time I would stop BUT I never stopped because I stopped getting thrown off by the pronouns and lost my self in this exciting, disturbing, finding yourself story! I loved the relationships that are being built by each of the characters in the group/family and the deserving ends to the traitors. It is the end of the story but I hope that we have an update of where they are at in a couple of years because each of them has had so much trauma in their lives that the relationships are just forming/coming back together at the end of this book even though the love is there. This book is steamy, exciting, bloody, violent and comes to a satisfying end. Can't wait for the next book with characters from this world that Suki built.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a honest review.
This was the perfect conclusion to Blake’s story. There are some trigger warnings so be aware of them. This starts right where Beauty of Corruption left off. All the guys are back and we get to see how Wulf and Robin dealt with what Blake and Atlas had to do to Con. We get to dig deeper into the betrayal that has been happening with the Family. Many of the group have to face demons from their past and we get a more in depth look at some of the things they have been through. Blake is so confident in themself and I love those types of main characters. This story had the spicy element and even though there wasn’t a lot of it, what spice there was, was off the charts! We get to see more side characters, some we have seen before. At one point we get to see how devious Blake can be with how they flip something that is considered standard for women in the Family on its head with their brother. Let me tell you, I laughed so hard when that happened!! We also get to see a more hardcore side of Con and that shows why he is in the Family. The ending was perfect and we will get to see more of them in the rest of this world that Suki has created for us. There will be more stories coming in this world and I can’t wait for them.
The group is forced to face the demons of their pasts and present, knowing that there is no future unless they make it through. But as they try to weather the storms in their relationships, there is war brewing in the city.
Beauty in Betrayal is laden with secrets, confessions, and of course betrayals. With Blake's family heavily in the forefront, Atlas and their past and present get dangerously twisted. All is fair in love and war as the group works towards healing together.
However, the storyline did feel a bit rushed and unending. Of note, the author's note at the end does call this out. States that they will be a part of their next story in The Web of Chaos World. Plus, they have plans in the future to revisit the same group highlighting their healing and connections. No set date though.
After such a long absence, I am back in Blake’s world. It was great to revisit Blake and their men. So much is happening in this book, I wondered how anyone had time to breathe, let alone do their nitty gritty in bed. Btw there’s some super hot MM action up in here. Everyone is banging everyone. To the core, you get a great mafia plot line but the context overall, is the relationship between Blake and their hot harem of guys. This book explores the true nature of their poly relationship and how to navigate everything together while simultaneously trying to take down the bad guys. This book ends with an open ended plot just so there’s something there for future books and I’m super excited because I don’t want to say goodbye just yet.
Blake and their significant others are back and I’m so freaking happy about it. Suki knew what she was doing to keep me engaged in Blake’s story. Blake is full of badassery and they are definitely one of my favorite characters ever written and their harem of hotness *dramatic sigh*. Read it, fast or slow, just read the duet and you’ll understand why I am OBSESSED. I can say I’m happy and sad about it being a duet instead of a trilogy. Happy because I don’t have to wait for another book to know the end of Blake’s story but sad because their story is wrapped up but I can get my Blake fix in Nic’s story.
Blake and the gang are back and trying to take that evil creature Sorcha and Troy down. Con had revealed all his secrets in Corruption and now the harem is after vengeance.
Frederick is not giving up still and is playing games with Blake. The men are all figuring out their relationships.
When we finally get to see the fall of our enemies it then brings to light the ultimate betrayal.
The ending was just what we needed.
Also with Nic's story conclusion coming up and them going to be needed as help for NIc this won't be the last we see of my fav harem.

What a thrilling book! Blake and their men continue to come in hot during this follow up. Beauty of Betrayal picks up where Corruption left off, with the group fighting the family mole while also revealing and sorting through their own horrific backstories. Conrad and Atlas deserve so much better! Props to the author for continuing to write stories that handle dark themes appropriately while also maintaining plot that entertains the reader. I can’t wait to see how this lot continues to pop up in Nic’s story!
This picked up right where it left off and just kept rolling, rolling, rolling. I don't want to give spoilers but just know your emotions and heart will be affected dealing this. I feel like the behaviors and reactions to trauma where well written and honest to the individuals involved. This was about broken people trying to find solace in a life where nothing but chaos has reigned. Well done Suki.
I loved this book and seeing how Blake’s journey will end. I think that everyone was written in a way that could be added on and continued and I will be looking forward to it.
Blake’s brother is the bomb and I can’t wait to see his story!
I wish Blake had more time and scenes with the men as it felt unresolved in some parts especially when it was more of a topic in the first book.
**ARC Review** This is book two of the Lies and Loves duet and completed. This storyline is amazing! I love the mafia reverse harem with the added mmfmm and the added dark romance. I was on the edge of my seat with this one. Especially after how book 1 ended. I needed to know how the group ended. Im not going to give to much away but I could not have anticipated the way it ended!
I love that you get more of the characters in this and how their relationships progress. If you like suspense, mafia, RH, MMFMM, secrets and plot twists, this is the book for you! Its also DARK AF! Be prepared! READ TW!
Love suki books So glad this book was about Blake was waiting not disappointed thank you so much suki We had Emotions all thout this book I love everyone in this series but mmmm Blake had my heart The end I'd the series was good But the door left open gor maybe more Love the series thank you 5 star wish I could give more Thanks now I go and find the next book to read by suki Williams ❤️
I loved Blake's story and seeing how they tied into this world, and I'm beyond happy to have heard their story.
There was so much going on in this book, I was kept on my toes the entire time. This book was filled with steam, mystery and suspense. There is a lot of things in place with each other in their relationship and in the entire story. You get to see the characters really grow in this book. Everything gets wrapped up, but luckily we will be seeing them more in other books!
These books sucked me in. I finished both of them in a 24hr timeframe. I couldn’t put them down. I do wish I had read these before I read nics story however. But both series’ were amazing. Definitely on the dark side so check for triggers. I can’t wait for Em’s story & more in this world! Definitely need more on Conrad’s healing. I loved everything about this! This author has moved to one of my favs!!!
I’m not ok; make sure to read book 1 first or this is possible spoilers.
I did a reread on book 1 to prepare for this and darn it! I forgot how mad I was at Wulfric. Like severely grouchy. And I’m still broken and suffering with poor Conrad. I’m glad that Blake is content. They really deserve it considering everything they’ve endured. The ending left me, I’m not sure, waiting? It doesn’t feel like an ending. It certainly doesn’t feel like a beginning either. It’s messy. It’s unfinished. Much like life, I suppose. So in my mind, I have to create my own ending. One where I can banish those who aren’t worthy. And I can really have that happily ever after. ☺️
Loved this second in the duet about Blake and their relationship with the men who came into their life and stayed...through complications, betrayal, blackmail and family infighting. This book has it all...Mafia kingpins and their soldiers too. Highly recommend this as a solid 5 stars for the series.
I just want to say, i love Suki Williams. She never disappoints, despot alk the chaos and insanity, you can't help but feel for these characters. This entire duet was amazing to read. I definitely will be doing many rereads. Please take heed to the trigger warnings. It does get really dark at times.
This story was an absolute whirlwind. Continuously crazy, keeping you on the edge of your toes. I did enjoy this book better than book 1. I’m hoping somehow we’ll see more of Blake and their men, as this wasn’t complete closure. But it was a happy ending. Ready for more in this universe! Especially emmerich’s story…
Okay..... The book was good and I liked it but it was also mid. I like her other series more and had to read these to finish the other series. That did annoy me but I just dont like being told what to do. With that being said the book was good and if she has others in the series I would read those too.
4.5 🌟 I will not be including spoilers by recapping the book what I will say is make sure you have no distractions because once you dive in you will not want to stop. Especially if you are a Suki fan. Blake, Conrad, Atlas, Robin, Wulfric, and Sorcha had me so enthralled in the story.
