Doc's Gamble
Dr. Ana Collins is tired of being passed over for funded expeditions, but when a cave is discovered in Peru containing a new species of fungi, she is delighted to find herself heading south. Except, she has to travel with her nemesis, Dr. Ryker Hayes, ass-extraordinaire.
When they are stranded in the jungle, Ryker has to protect the most ill-prepared person he knows. Sure, she has a quiet beauty and the best breasts he’s seen on a woman. It doesn’t mean he needs to test the waters, so to speak. Except, the more time they spend together, the more attractive he finds her. Perhaps there’s something in the air, in the rain, in the muddy rivers, because there’s no way he wants anything to do with prissy and verbally challenged Ana. Even when she kisses like a skilled courtesan.
For Ana, when Ryker saves her repeatedly, she begins to realize what it takes to be an adventuring micro-biologist, that it isn’t for her, but damn, the man does know how to pull off wild, sexy, and irresistible in a dirty shirt and cargos.

Great short story, the storyline has everything; action, adventure, Intrigue, humor and romance. I can't wait for more from this author. I received this book 📚, as a FREE copy to read and I voluntarily leave this review.

Ana Collins is tired of two things.
1-Ryker Hayes beating her out for the lead on new expeditions and
2- Everyone treating her like an idiot because of her little speech impediment, well, maybe so not little.
When another trip comes up, no one is more shocked then her that she's been asked to go. Well, no one except for Ryker who made the request that she accompany him so she can see for herself that is's not the spa trip she thinks it is. It's the jungle and very dangerous.
As passions quickly bloom between them, they are both thrown into a plot of revenge and must run for their lives.
Fast-paced and fun adventure but, I really wish it would have been longer. It felt rushed.

Quite the book to take a read of. It's exotic, sweet, adventurous, and everything in between. If you want to destress from everyday life with a quick read that may seem slightly unrealistic, this is for you. This may feel a bit fast-paced, but (spoiler alert) they've known each other for years.

Short and steamy
Ana got more than she bargained for when she finally made her first trip to the Amazon. Being chased was on her itinerary but it's not so bad with Ryker by her side. The man's got abs of steel.

This is a quick read that does not disappoint. We have a quirky, intelligent, tongue-tied Ana. And, then we have a handsome authoritive co-worker Ryder. Now it's different to see the use of a speech impediment and to see the it in action, unique for me so bonus. The action and romance were awesome!! Definitely great for a re-read in my books!
