The best friend I need

From the opening page I felt seen. I felt understood and supported as if she were my best friend. It’s a voice of compassion and understanding that I have rarely received . Thank you

My soul has been affirmed with the Love God created me for.

The insights in this Blessed book are an answer to my prayers as to why I've suffered for 27 years married to a CN. I realize now that forgiveness is the key to set us both free. Forgiveness doesn't mean condoning the toxic behavior, it releases the shackles of the expectation that it should have ,would have or could have been anything different. I'm alive and I choose better not bitter. I'm a 61 year old Lady on SSI disability. I have and own nothing however I have my soul and love in my heart. I will be ok,I don't know how, but I will be OK. Thanks for
this and the first book, both of which I devoured in 24 hours. I listened to one while I read the other like a thirsty wilted plant. Jesus said that the person who gives the least of us a cool glass of water will be greatly Blessed and you my spiritual sister have given me a well from which I can draw from and share with others into eternity! Thank you!

The best book I've found for healing from abuse

I've read so many books trying to get help healing from years of emotional abuse. I can honestly say that this has been the best book I've read and it has had a profound effect on me. I highlighted half of the book with things I want to go back and read time and again to make it stick! I'm genuinely sorry the author has had to experience what she has had to go through. I am so grateful that she wrote about it to try to help others. This book is going to be read over and over again. It has been a salve for my soul and has given me hope again for peace and self love and a chance at a much different future. Thank you Debbie from the bottom of my heart.

Love the title. Amanda means “worthy of love”. The CN agreed with this meaning at first.. but later he treated me opposite of…

“So when narcissists, who are essentially bullies, give us negative messages about ourselves, it reflects what’s going on inside THEM.”
…..so much projection.
Thank you Debbie.

Beautifully Written

The author captures not only all of the feelings and emotions you need to navigate in facing this issue, but addresses all the questions and thoughts that come up. You feel so loved and supported as you read her words. It's one of the most important parts of this journey, to not feel alone.

It could be helpful as part of the journey to heal from narcissistic abuse. Not much new information if you’ve already been learning about the subject but it is empowering and validating and a good reminder that what we’re going through now is normal considering what we’ve been through with the narcissists in our lives.

Really encouraging read. I read it to support a friend and better understand their past abuse, but it was super motivating for me as well. Anyone who has come out of our relationship, confused about how they were treated and left with many unanswered questions about their own self-worth would benefit from reading this.

a good one

I have read a lot, probably too many, books in this topic. I don’t find a lot of decent ones and this one is great. I got a lot out of it.

Not quite as impactful as 'The Covert Passive Aggressive Narcissist', but still a very useful frame of reference for guiding oneself forward.

A short book by the author of The Covert Passive Agressive Narcissist about recovering after this type of relationship. She does a great job taking from her personal experience and generalizing it to be applicable to others. Another good book to add to your list as you walk out of this dynamic into a bright new life!
