Grace Patterson is not my type. Not only is she a second-grade teacher at the local elementary school, but she's perfect, like untouchable perfect. Everything is please and thank you and Maverick - no one calls me that. And when I allow her to bring that mutt into my house, all I hear is “Did you miss me, baby? Are you hungry, baby? I’ll take care of you, baby.” What I didn’t mention is that she's my best friend's little sister and I’m about twelve years older than her, which makes her completely off-limits. So why I'm suddenly wanting what I can't have is beyond me.
Maverick Carter also known as Cap is the only man who can help me when I find a stray dog on my way home from school. He isn’t the easiest to have a conversation with but since my apartment doesn’t allow pets, I need him. For now. Until I can figure out what to do with my new-found dog. In the meantime, it's best if I remember he rides a metal monstrosity of a motorcycle and wears a hideous vest with obscene patches all over it and not the way he sounds when I overhear him having sex with another woman. If only it were that easy.
Ashley Davenport was born and raised in Colorado, and although she doesn’t always live there, she’ll always be a Coloradoan at heart. Ashley loves collecting vintage PYREX (if you have pink or turquoise call her), exploring the great outdoors, and traveling to every Disney Resort possible. When she’s not writing or on an adventure, she stays busy daydreaming about the hot men she writes about in her novels.
Wicked: A Small Town Romance (Love in Lone Star Book 3) By: Ashley Bostock 5 out of 5 stars
The story Wicked: A Small Town Romance (Love in Lone Star Book 3) by Ashley Bostock is a new adult/contemporary romance book. This is a story that I loved reading. It had me hooked from the very beginning and I didn’t want to put it down until I had read the ending page. I love the characters of Grace and Maverick. Grace is a school teacher who has a kind heart and loves to bake. Maverick is a bad boy that rides a motorcycle and doesn’t do commitments. They start seeing more of each other when Grace gets Maverick to let her keep a stray dog that she finds at his home as she can’t keep it in her apartment. He even gives her a key to his house. The sparks fly between these two when they are in the same room and you can feel the tension in the air. Maverick believes Grace to be off-limits as she is the sister of his best friend, he is quite a bit older than her, and she is what he calls “a good girl.” Grace had never really noticed Maverick before however, she is finding that her feelings for him are changing. These two keep dancing around their attraction to each other. Grace then suggests that they have a casual, short-term relationship. Grace’s heart, however, has a way of falling hard and fast. What does the future hold for both Grace and Maverick? When their agreement ends will Grace be able to walk away with her heart intact? Is there any chance that Maverick would change and agree to a committed relationship with Grace? This is a story that had my emotions going up and down. I loved reading about how Maverick and Grace interact and banter back and forth with each other. Both Grace and Maverick have amazing chemistry together and I was rooting for them to find their happy ending. This is the third book in a series and each one just keeps getting better. If you have read all three you will recognize some of the characters from the first two books crossing over to this one. I love when an author does this as you get to catch up on what is going on in their lives. It is like dropping in on friends. This is another amazing book by an amazing author! This story does have adult situations which include some very steamy love scenes. It would be recommended for those 18 years of age or older.
I love reading new authors and being able to be drawn into their books. This book was one of those books. The characters have a story they need to tell. Their pasts try to dictate who they are, but in all they are totally different from what they think they are going to turn out. I love the whole story line of little sister falls for older brother's friend. There is always a sense of I'm doing something wrong but I really am not. That is what makes the reader read. This story starts out a little unusual because its all over a dog. A dog that finds Grace because it is lost or someone has neglected. The kicker is, she can't have dogs and she has to find someone to take care of it. With that being said she turns to Maverick, aka brother's best friend. Maverick tries to say no, but Grace won't have it, so he gives her a week.
Let's just say this begins very rocky and there are story lines within story lines in this. With Grace's parents, her brother, to Maverick's past and his parents there is a lot they are going to have to figure out. Oh and lets not forget Maverick is trying not to let anything happen between the two of them because of her brother. What could possibly go wrong. The story was so much fun to read and watch what all happened in the story. I loved Grace's independence, but hated that she felt alone all the time. The time that she spent with Maverick, I think helped her find herself a little more and not to feel so lonely at times. Maverick is a loner and he wants to keep it that way, but when he meets his match with Grace, he doesn't know what to do. He has a lot of things going on in his story that has him a little all over the place, but one thing you know is that he needs Grace as much as Grace needs him. Maverick is very strong, but his past has played so much of a role in his life he has to learn to let go. It may just ruin him if it doesn't.
Being the first time reading this author, I loved her style of writing she told a great story that not only kept you interested, but wanted you to want more from these two. They have such a great story and what they had to go through, makes that story so much better. I will go back and read the rest of her books, because I found an author that can tell an amazing story.
Wicked: A Small Town Romance (Love in Lone Star Book 3) by Ashley Bostock is the third book in her A Small Town Romance series. This story is a standalone but I highly suggest that you read the previous two books. It will give you background information that will help this series flow better. You will enjoy the other two books as much as this one. I enjoy this author's writing style and her creative attention to details make you feel like you are right there in Lone Star with the characters. Her characters are connectable, lovable and true to life. They will take you on a roller coaster ride of emotions from laughter to compassion. This is the story of Grace and Maverick. Grace is a teacher that usually just sticks to herself. On her way home one day, she finds a stray puppy. With no way to keep the puppy at her apartment she convinces Maverick to keep the puppy. What happens after that with Grace and Maverick neither one see coming nor was it expected. Maverick is older and also Grace's brothers best friend. He has not had the best of life and not willing to trust someone with his heart again until now. Is it possible the Grace is the one that can change all of that for him? They have chemistry and attraction but will they be able to resist each other? Is their relationship forbidden or will they find a way around that? I enjoyed the banter back and for between these two. I wasn't quite sure about Maverick in the beginning but the more their relationship develops the more I changed my mind. Grace is sassy and feisty and doesn't seem to have a filter with Maverick. She knows what she wants and her kind heart just makes you fall in love with her. I kept hoping that these two would finally find their HEA. I had a hard time putting their story down, it was fast reading and kept me engaged until the end. I highly recommend this story, I know you will want to see if Maverick and Grace finally find their HEA.
Wicked : A Small Town Romance ( Love In LoneStar book 3 ) By Ashley Bostock is the third book in her A Small Town Romance Series.Although this can be read as a standalone I do recommend reading the first two books in this series as you'll get some background information and it'll help with the series flowing better.I have absolutely loved this series and each book I fall more in love with not only the series, the characters but Ashley is quickly becoming one of my favorite go to authors She has a way of not only grabbing your attention but she keeps that attention through out the whole book. She simply intrigues me.In this story we get Maverick and Grace .Maverick is a loner ,he didn't have the best upbringing, his mom abandoned him when he was a teenager and his father was neglectful. .But Maverick has made his own way.Grace is a second grade teacher and she's alone, she usually sticks to herself. One day on her way home she finds a stray puppy. She can't keep it at her apartment but somehow she convinces Maverick to keep the puppy Maverick is best friends with Grace's brother. He (Maverick ) maybe older but these to definitely have some chemistry and attraction, can they resist each other? Can they find a way to make a relationship work?I loved how at times I felt like I was on a emotional roller-coaster but at other times found myself chuckling especially at the bantering back and forth between the two of them.i think Grace is my favorite because I can relate to her, she's very feisty and has no filter especially with Maverick. The more you get to know these to the more I fell in love with both of them Want to know what happens between these two? I highly recommend you read this book. As always I look forward to reading more from this author.
In Wicked, book 3 in Ashley Bostock’s Love in Lone Star series we are treated to the romance between Grace and Maverick. Grace is Thatcher Patterson from Wild’s baby sister and Maverick is Thatcher’s best friend. Right from the beginning we know that this is going to be a difficult situation for these two characters. Grace finds herself attracted to the bad boy for the first time in her life and she doesn’t know what to do with those feeling while Maverick has issues with commitment not to mention the fact that it wouldn’t be a good idea to get involved with his best friends sister. When Grace finds a lost puppy she needs Maverick’s help taking care of it, he doesn’t want to get involved but he also has a hard time saying no to Grace. Over time the two get closer and form a mutually beneficial relationship. Maverick gives Grace something she has been lacking in her life, a friend while Grace feeds something that’s been missing in Maverick’s soul. But Maverick has secrets that could end up ruining the budding relationship. I have to say that this has been my favorite so far in this series. I loved Grace from the first page, she was so sweet and I really wanted her to find her happiness, I could feel her loneliness just seeping from the pages. It made me cry to see how all the people who were supposed to love her continued to overlook her even her brother who she was supposedly close to. Maverick was the perfect foil to Grace’s sweetness, although at times I wished he was real so that I could shout at him to open his eyes and see what was in front of him. This was an excellent installment to this series and I look forward to seeing what Ms. Bostock has up her sleeve for us in the future.
Wicked: A Small town Romance (love in Lone Star book 3) by Ashley Bostock is a story of forbidden love and will they both have the courage to peruse chemistry bubbling up between Maverick and Grace or will his reputation be a factor for not getting together.
Grace Patterson has always been the little sister of Maverick's best friend and as she used to hang around, she was the annoying pest who followed them everywhere, roll forward and shes not the little girl anymore but there are rules around best friends sisters, but Maverick has always been a rule breaker.
Grace is the plain Jane, rule follower girl, but over the years she has become her own woman. Although her love life has never been the best she has discovered she has feels for her brother's best friend, the only problem is he has a reputation with the woman and he has had plenty of them. Will Grace be able to love the bad boy she craves or will she do the right thing.
This is the third book of the series and omg I loved the story, Grace has popped in the second book but you never really got to know her, but I loved the way the author created a character which had a naughty side to her and also her strength came through in each chapter you read.
It was also great to get to see the softer side of Cap or Maverick as he has always been portrayed as a rough and ready type but how he sticks up for his relationship with Grace makes you swoon. This book can be read as a stand alone story but it will be fun to read the other stories and meet all the characters who you would love to enjoy.
Wicked by Ashley Bostock is book three of the Love in Lonestar series. This book can be read as a stand alone but features characters from the first two books. This book tells the story of Grace Patterson and Maverick Carter.
Maverick has been in Grace’s life for as long as she can remember because he is her brother’s best friend. Because of their age difference, Grace never really spent much time around Maverick. Until now that is. When she finds a stray dog, he’s the only one who can help her.
Grace is all sunshine and rainbows and Maverick doesn't know how to handle that. His past has never really been that bright and he’s intrigued by how his present lights up when Grace is around.
Both Grace and Maverick know that there can’t be anything between them. Maverick is not a relationship type person and Grace’s brother would not be happy to know anything was going on between the two of them. Will Maverick succumb to his desires or will be successfully push Grace away knowing they can't pursue any type of relationship? Is Grace’s attraction to Maverick simply because she can't have him?
I read the first two books in the series and this book was just as good as I was expecting it to be. As soon as I started reading I couldn't put it down. I enjoyed that it was dual point of view so, as a reader, we get insight into both of these complex characters. I would absolutely recommend this book for anyone interested.
Wicked: Love In Lone Star by Ashley Bostock… Perfect, Perfect and more Perfect. I am assuming this was the final book in the Love In Lone Star series and if it in fact was, I am very pleased with the final book. This book had everything I could have wanted, drama, romance, heartache and funny parts.
I love the fact that Maverick is twelve years older than Grace, that aspect makes the story feel more forbidden I guess you could say. Grace is such a sweetie and I love that she never gives up or gives in to Maverick, who acts like the biker he is. Maverick on the other hand is rough and rugged and even though he has been through a lot in his life and has experienced great losses, he still manages to find love in his heart for Grace.
I think Grace and Maverick are absolutely perfect together. It kind of irritated me when Grace’s brother Thatcher kept opposing their relationship and calling Maverick out for being the way he was, which was someone who would sleep with almost any woman. But, I can understand as her older brother he was looking out for her even though she is twenty seven years old.
Overall I loved this book so much if you couldn’t already tell, this book can be read as a standalone but I highly, highly recommend reading all three books because they are so worth it! Any romance lover could appreciate these books and their stories. This book is definitely a 5 star read!
Just when you think this series can’t get any better along comes book 3 and totally blows the other two out of the water! I absolutely loved this book! It had everything I love in a book and so much more. I laughed, I swooned and I fell in love with the characters. Grace was so amazing – she had me in stitches at some points in the story. Theirs is once scene between her and Maverick that still makes me laugh now when I think about it. Probably one of the funnies things I have read in a while. She did a great job of getting under Maverick’s skin! Maverick, what a character! I will admit I wasn’t quite sure at the beginning he was cold and not an easy to read character but my oh my did he warm up as the story went on – oh yes he did! Yummy!! There was this real intense sexual connection between him and Grace. I think they have fast become by favourite couple in this series so far – I loved reading their story. The book was excellently written, the characters were amazing – I loved absolutely every little bit about this book! The deeper meaning to this story really shone through for me and I think that’s why I loved it so much. I really connected with Grace and could totally relate to her. A truly amazing story that I can’t recommend highly enough – I never wanted it to end!
Book Review: Wicked, Love in Lone Star, A Small Town Romance Author: Ashley Bostock FIVE STARS This is the third book in the Love in Lone Star, A Small Town Romance series and it is just as good as the first two! All three books are stand alone reads so there is no need to feel you are missing anything if you haven't read the others. Just be prepared to want to read them. Maverick is a loner. Abandoned by his mother when he was just a teenager and neglected by his father, Maverick has made his own way in life. Grace is always alone. A second grade teacher, she loves to bake and loves life for the most part. She always emits positivity and happiness in everything she does. Maverick is also Grace's brothers best friend, making "them" a no-no. But will they throw caution to the wind and just go for it and see what happens. This story is about forgiveness and letting go of the past to try to find a better future for yourself. It's about throwing caution to the wind to try new things and discover what can make you happy. It is also about not sterotyping. Yes Maverick is part of a motorcycle club, but is he all bad boy? Yes Grace comes from a home with two parents, but is she as "perfect" as Maverick thought? I have thoroughly enjoyed this entire series so far. I can't wait to read more from Ashley Bostock. Kelli Harper
Wicked by Ashley Bostock is the third book in her Love in Lone Star series. She is taking us back to the small town that we fell in love in the first 2 books and finally, it is time for Maverick’s book! I am sure that ALL of us got intrigued by him in the Thatcher’s book … at least I did! Wicked is the story of Maverick “Cap” Carter and Thatcher’s little sister Grace. Maverick is this moody bad boy who works with his hands, rides a motorbike and has all of us, red blooded women, panting after him. Grace is this amazing young woman who bakes like a dream, looks like a pinup girl and has an innocence about her that intrigues the heck out of guys … I have a feeling that Ashely gets better with every book! She keeps us entertained, in bed and out of bed and the way she has the characters interacting, oh my, we can feel the sparks flying! Both of them have their baggage and both of them need to find courage to take a step outside to get what they deserve! Thank you for writing the story from both Grace’s and Maverick’s point of views, I think it gave a deeper dimension to the story and made the characters even more relatable. I loved meeting the characters from the first two books; it is always a pleasure to meet the characters one fell in love with! That is the beauty of a series! Dear Ashley, please keep gracing us with more stories from Lone Star, we cannot get enough!
Wicked: A Small Town Romance (Love in Lone Star Book 3) by Ashley Bostock 5 Stars
Wicked is the 3rd installment in the love in Lone Star series and can be read as a standalone. I recommend reading the first too books as well because they are just as good as this one. I think this one was my favorite of the series, but it’s a very hard decision because the author did an amazing job with all three of them!! The main characters are Grace and Maverick. They have a little bit of a forbidden romance thing going on because he is 12 years older than her and she is also his best friend’s little sister. But people always want what is just out of reach. Grace is the good girl school teacher who just wants to show Maverick how bad she can be. Maverick tries his hardest to stay away from Grace, but when the two are together sparks fly and they both notice the attraction between the two of them. But will they both have the same goals when it comes to where they want to be in a relationship, or are they so far apart they end up going their separate ways. This story was an emotional roller coaster for me and I loved reading the banter between Grace and Maverick. They seemed to fit together well and I was rooting for their happy ending from page one. I would absolutely recommend this!! Go read it now!!
Wicked is the third book in the “Love in lone star" series by Ashley Bostock. This book focuses on Thatcher’s younger sister Grace Patterson – a school teacher and her growing attraction to biker Maverick- also known as Cap. Grace was a minor character in the first 2 books and it is lovely to see her get her own starring role. I also liked the idea that the characters bonded over a stray dog. Echo could well have been the star of the book at one point! I really enjoy this author’s work. She creates lively characters full of fun and her books are a riot of a ride from start to finish. She is not afraid to approach controversial subjects but does them in a light-hearted way that makes the reader empathise with the characters rather than judge them. I like the comparison between the prim and proper elementary school teacher and the dirty, independent biker. Ashley writes really believable love stories and the love scenes may be hot and plentiful but they are not OTT in my opinion. They are part of the story and illustrate the passion her characters have for each other. For me, this book, as with the rest of the series, has been a bright distraction from a cold autumn day. Thank you!
A 5 star read for Wicked: A Small Town Romance, Love in Lone Star Book 3 by Ashley Bostock. This is the third book in the series. I was hoping and praying that it was going to be Grace and Cap’s book!!! Grace and Maverick (Cap) couldn’t be more opposite. Where Grace is prim and proper, Cap is dark and rugged. Cap always thought of Grace as his best friends little sister until he starts to notice that she isn’t a little girl anymore!!! There is no way that she can be attracted to Cap, he is 12 years older than her and he has had more women than she cares to imagine. Other than age and their lifestyles, the other huge issue is Cap is best friends with Thatcher, Grace’s older brother. Cap doesn’t want to lose Thatcher as a friend. Is he willing to put his feelings aside for Grace or is that a chance he needs to take? This book had me hooked from page one. There were plenty of times that I wanted to jump into the book and give Cap a good shake and slap him upside his head. I loved how these characters fought the relationship so hard and it just proved that in their case, opposites most definitely attract.
Wicked by Ashley Bostock is the third book in her Love in Lone Star series, and it has been another home run for her. Grace and Maverick’s story was fantastic to get to read. The connection between Maverick and Grace goes back for years, and so when they reconnect over a lost dog I got hooked from the word “dog”. Bostock has the best way of grabbing a reader by the pulling you and keeping you at the seat of your pants. Grace is forbidden fruit for Maverick and the more that he tells her no the less his resolve is to turn her away. And while Grace knows that her feelings for Maverick could cause a strife with her family, she is willing to risk everything to grab for the man that she has loved for a lifetime. I have loved this entire series, and was so happy when I found it. This series does have books that can be read as stand alones but I am a firm believer in reading the books in order, allowing for the back story of other characters to be understood to the fullest. Bostock was a new to me author and I am so glad that I took a chance on her series. I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next.
Wicked: A Small Town Romance Love in Lone Star by: Ashley Bostock 5 Stars
Holy Crap on a Cracker!!! You could actually feel the heat coming off the pages as the author weaves her story. What a fantastic story and the characters were awesome. Grace Patterson and Maverick Carter are as different as night and day and Maverick considers Grace off limits. Thatcher, who is not only Mavericks best friend, is Graces brother. But most of all, Maverick hides behind the hurt his parents inflicted upon him especially his mother who abandoned him. He has never gotten over it and has only let one woman into his life since then. On her way home from School one day Grace finds a small dog who looks lost. She wants to help it but she cannot keep her at her apartment. So she talks Maverick into keeping the dog at his house and she will come over and take care of her. This is how their relationship starts. The chemistry is amazing and their bickering is hilarious. They definitely know how to push each other's buttons. This is a story you will want to read, it is powerful, full of emotion, and self discovery.
Wicked: A Small Town Romance (Love in Lone Star Book 3) by Ashley Bostock
Wicked: A Small Town Romance Love in Lone Star is book three in the A Small Town Romance series by Ashley Bostock. This story is a standalone but reading the first two books will give you insight to the characters and the world that Ashley has created. I really enjoy Ashley's writing style the characters are lovable and connectable. You will find yourself laughing out loud at times and other times feeling like you want to wrap them up and give them a big old hug.
Maverick found a place in my heart from the beginning, what he fought against was inevitable. What he wanted didn’t matter. What he found frustrated the hell out of him. What he got was the best thing for him.
Grace has always been a bit of a loner. She is one strong, sassy and lovable woman who is more than she appears. Who thought one tiny thing could change her life. One tiny thing could lead to her heart's desires.
I was unable to put this book down and read it in one sitting it was so good. If you like a good romance about second chances you should grab a copy..
Fab ending to the concluding book in the Lone Star series. It's been a blast over all three books in the series.
Absolutely loved Cap and Grace, her bit of rough, his sunshine on a cloudy day.
They got on really well, they had a deep connection, which intensified the further they fell.
They were complete opposites, he didn't care if he hurt anyone's feelings, where as Grace hated hurting anyone's feelings.
Loved Echo, what a cutie, she was the jam in their sandwich.
Glad we got to catch up with Thacker and Annie, as well as brief mentions of Miranda and Ryan.
Grace was a ballsy girl, who was strong enough to get what she wanted, she had a lot of courage which sometimes got hidden by her lack of confidence.
Cap, Maverick was a closed book, not willing to let people in, and he desperately tried to keep Grace out. She broke down each and every one of Maverick's walls and she was very supportive, when he was looking for his Mom.
I'm happy for Maverick and grace, they worked hard to get to a happy place, even frustrating at times.
Sad to see the series finish and looking forward to see what Ashley Bostock give us next.
Wicked: A Small Town Romance by Ashley Bostock is book three in the Love in Lone star series. Even though previous characters are involved I think these books can be considered stand alone, I like reading in order though. In this book we get to see Grace and Maverick find their way in an unfamiliar place of an attraction they can ignore. Grace's character reminds me a lot of myself so I definitely felt a pull to this story with the family life she grew up with and her insecurities with her body. But she's got a heart of gold and a sassy mouth. Maverick is a man who seems to be running from his past but man is he swoon worthy! I read this book so fast I wish it was over, I couldn't put it down once I opened it up. The story is well paced and thought out. Characters are amazing and beautifully written. My favorite part is Grace learning and believing in herself and getting to where she stopped letting other be her judge. I give this book five stars because it's not just a romance it's also an inspirational book about believing in not only yourself but also the future.
Wicked is the third book in the "Love in Lone Star" series. This is my favorite of the series (forgive me if I said this about each book) and can absolutely be read as a stand-alone but you'll also want to read the other's in the series.
We previously met Maverick as he hangs out and eats peanuts at his best friend Thatcher's store . Grace is Thatcher's "little sister" and is off limits to Maverick. She is full of light and sunshine and he is dark and brooding. Their story begins when Grace brings home a stray dog and needs a favor from him.
A couple of things that I enjoyed about this book is that Maverick is more mature than the typical alpha male; he is about to turn 40 and has come to terms with his life. Grace isn't afraid to admit her desire for physical contact and at the center of the story is a sweet rescue dog named Echo.
This is a well developed story that kept me entertained from cover to cover. It is a quick read and I was able to finish it in one sitting.
I absolutely recommend this book and the entire series.
Wicked is the 3rd book in the Love in Lone Star series by Ashley Bostock. This can be read as a standalone, but you should really read first two books. Maverick is Thatcher’s (from book 2) best friend and 12 years older than Grace – who is Thatcher’s sister - she is off limits but he can’t get her off of his mind. Maverick has a bit of a wild past and he thinks Grace is too good and proper for him. Grace is a school teacher who has some insecurity issues. Grace needs Maverick’s help with a puppy she found because she can’t have the puppy at her place; no pets rule. For six weeks, Grace has been going over to Maverick’s place to care for the puppy; she and Maverick have been slowly getting closer. Will they both turn to each other and how will Thatcher like them being together?
I have been waiting for this story since book 2 when Maverick saw Grace with that Dirty Biker Book. The first part of the book moves a little slower then I like, but by the end, I wanted more. Can’t wait to see whom Ashley will continue this series with next.
Title:Wicked: A Small Town Romance Author: Ashley Bostock Series:Love in Lonestar Book 3
Wicked was a great 5 star read. Be prepared for an emotional rollercoaster of a journey with Maverick & Grace.
Maverick is Grace’s brothers best friend and she is off limits to him. They both try to resist each other but eventually give into their attraction.
They agree to a casual relationship but of course things ended up going a different way for Grace. Does Maverick feel the same? Will their age difference get in the way?
These two had me LOL several times with the bantering. I loved Grace’s strength and feistiness. Of course they both have issues and there are ups and downs but you could feel their chemistry coming right of the pages. The secondary characters added a great element to the story. Once I started reading I couldn’t put it down until I was done. I was very happy with the ending and I look forward to reading more from this series.
Wicked by Ashley Bostock is the third book im her gripping Love in Lone Star series. I had loved the first 2 books and this was did not let me down!!
Grace is the quintessential good girl - great teacher, dutiful daughter, loyal friend. And yet she feels like life is just passing her by, like she isn’t really living it. Desperate to feel the love of someone without conditions attached Grace knows she will have to make changes if she wants that to happen.
Maverick is everything that is her opposite, rough, unsociable and not interested in changing. At all. For anyone. He knows that he should stay away from Grace and he really does try. But she is so irresistible and makes it too hard.
When they both finally give in to their attraction passion flares. But can they make it last?
Another incredible book in an already great series. Everything I wanted and more from this book. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Wicked: A Small Town Romance by Ashley Bostock Five Stars
Wicked: A Small Town Romance is the third book it the Love in Lone Star Series by Ashley Bostock. I have to say this series keeps getting better and better. I may have said this before but this is my favorite book of the series so far. Ms. Bostock has a wonderful way of bring her characters to life. The dialogue between Grace and Maverick had me laughing throughout the book. The chemistry was hot, hot, hot. This series should be read in order, not only because you get the backstory of all the characters that hang around Lone Star, but because they are all great reads. This was such a fast read for me, the story flowed so well I just couldn't put it down. The only bad thing about that is waiting to see what Ms. Bostock has for us in the future. I would highly recommend this book, series and author to everyone!
Wicked is the third but hopefully not last book in the Love in Lone Star series by Ashley Bostock. I love this series and I'm sure I said it last time, I think this is my favorite so far. I loved the dynamic between Maverick and Grace, then you throw in an adorable dog Echo and things are even better for me.
I'm not sure why I have come to love this series as much as I have but I just do. I was able to relate to Grace's relationship with her Mom which is sad but part of life. I will never understand how a Mom can treat her child with such little thought and affection. That ends up playing such a role in how that child ends up as an adult and we saw perfect examples of that with both Maverick and Grace.
I am hopeful there will be a book four in this series so we can find out what happens with everyone. I'm really curious to see what happens with Grace and Thatcher's Mom.
This is the third book I have read from his author and I read this book in one sitting! Hmm how to review.... Well did it have good characters, yes. Did it have a best friends sister romance, yes. Did it have un - answered questions, yes. Did it have sexy times, yes. But did it pull you in completely to the story and characters, no. The story just didn't have that something that kept and held your attention. What was with the real owner of echos part in this story, why did Gracie not have any friends, did her mom get help? And if Grace and Thatcher were so close as brother and sister why wasn't it portrayed instead of just told! Lastly why wasn't a character named Maverick(awesome name btw) more strong and manly in this book! Ok read just not a wicked read that I'll think about after finishing. 2.5 stars😐
Ashley Bostock's Wicked is the third book in the Love in Lone Star series. This is by far my favorite from the series!! Ashley Bostock has this way of creating a story with such fun and enchanting characters. Snippets of these characters have appeared in previous books of the series, but here in Wicked we get the juicy, delicious story that comes together for Maverick and Grace - it's truly divine for all the senses. Nothing is straight forward and easy in this book, but it's so captivating it was easy to succumb to the emotional coaster the author wants to take you on throughout this story. Ashley Bostock is an amazing writer and she delivers again and again in each of her books.
This is another great story by Ashley Bostock. Grace and Maverick had already appeared in the previous books of this series, but now we can know them better, and what a pleasant surprise! Although they are completely different, they are perfect together! The chemistry between them is visible and they can understand each other perfectly. Although Grace is Maverick's best friend's sister, he was not able to get away from her, and she also realizes that the attraction she feels for him is not just physical, the feelings are deeper. I loved knowing more about the characters from the other books and how their lives are. This is a great story, I highly recommend the reading.
Wicked: A Small Town Romance (Love in Lone Star Book 3) by Ashley Bostock is part of a series, but can be read as a standalone. This is a really good cotemporary romance that I read in one sitting! It’s written in alternating first person POV by the two main characters: Grace & Maverick. The story sucks you in from the start! Grace & Maverick are complete opposites-she’s a sweet school teacher and he’s the motorcycle riding bad boy. He can’t help but fall for her innocent charm, agreeing to take in a dog for her. They have chemistry, and the tension is palpable! Loved all the witty banter, and opposites attract plot! Hopefully there will be a book 4!
