This was one of my favorite books as a kid. The stories all seemed a little odd, in a fascinating way that drew me to re-read them. I figured out later that they'd been translated from French and they do have a French feel to them. But what makes this book such a stand-out for me is the amazing watercolors. As a teen, I tried to reproduce many of them. My one success was an illustration of a bee visiting a wild rose. I want my son to have a copy, but I couldn't bear to part with my own, so I found one for him on ebay.
Buku anak-anak paling berkesan semasa kecil.
Teringat jaman SD, sewaktu masih belajar baca. Waktu itu sih luarbiasa banget buku ini (apalagi dilengkapi gambar lucu-lucu colorfull), sekarang membaca ini pun masih suka senyum-senyum sendiri :D
Always love this book and still do. This time I've read several stories with Yofel, and although he was not as engaged as I did when I first read this book years ago, I felt pretty content to finally read this book with him. The animals are cute, illustrations are great, the stories are fun and I still feel the translation is superb. Perfect for a lifetime collection :)
