I quite literally have no complaints. This is just a really fun run, that is usually quite a nice read but can really deliver some impactful moments when it wants to. This is my first Miles Morales book that I've read, and I'm immediately buying Volume 2.
I'm just not a comic book person I guess. Bought this after rewatching the Spiderverse films, but just didn't really get into it. The artwork is fine, nothing particularly noteworthy about it though. There are some interesting plot points that look at modern US politics and how Miles balances his daily life with being Spider-Man, but if you've seen any of the films or read a previous comic you'll have seen that theme explored aplenty.
I think this is a fun and varied comic. We see Miles at school and trying to juggle being Spider-Man. There isn't a strong villain here really, but the characters are interesting. The art is okay, though I find it strange that the characters swear (with @!"£) a lot.
Overall it was okay. After only a few days I'm struggling to remember much of it.
Really enjoyable Miles Morales story with gorgeous art with the exception of chapter 7 which was a free comic book day chapter and has a variety of different artists on it, which are nice but none of which are as good as the main art style. Ends on a big reveal and is followed by a very short bonus chapter.
this is a very good intro to marvel comics, I've never read anything by marvel and all you need to know going into this one is I'd recommend having seen Spiderverse 1
