Donna Ledbetter inherits $2 million. As a result, her friends are encouraging her to ask her fiance to sign a prenuptial agreement. When he refuses, Donna has to decide whether or not a prenuptial agreement is worth losing the love of her life.
Donna definitely had a dilemma on her hands thanks to shady characters in this book. God was truly on her side. Storyline nicely paced with surprising instances. Great read
I'm disappointed in this read. BWS has an impressive catalog and I just recently rediscovered this author. What stands out most is the lack of editing. I don't recall this issue in previous reads. As for this book, I knew just who the traitors were so there was no element of surprise for me. The girlfriends' outings didn't ring realistic to me and they didn't feel important to the story. In fact, there seemed to be a lot of filler. The scene changes didn't flow well at all. Donna, as a single parent, was all about her boys but eventually they seemed to disappear from the story altogether. This was not one of my favs by Mr Smith and despite the high ratings, I wouldn't recommend this book.
GREAT read once again. I can't stop laughing at the author's "education" notice with the "G-Code Alert".
Money changes people. In Donna's case, many close to her wanted the best, but others, not so much. This is a must read and I am looking forward to the sequel.
BWS advertises grown folks books, and many of the scenes in this work are definitely for grown folks. Be careful, you just might learn something.
This is my 3rd book by Mr. Smith. I am a drama queen. I like element of surprise and although I feel like 80% of this book was just fluff when you get to the last 20% that is when the suspense grows and I’m contemplating about what might or could happen next.
Oh my gosh! Every one of Brian W Smith’s books will have you on the edge of your seat trying to figure out the ending but you are met with a twist! I LOVE IT! Please read his books for yourself to be taken on a reading ride!
I have read enough books by Brian W Smith to know it’s never what you think! I never saw what was coming on this one! I highly recommend you read this one. Everyone is not who they claim to be!
Lord. I am shocked at the ending. I thought I had it figured out but NOPE! You dropped one on me. This is a must read and I can’t wait for you all to read about the twist I’m writing about in this book. It had me on my toes.
Donna Ledbetter is a divorced woman with two children trying to get on with her life. Her mother and best friend are in a tragic accident that leaves her mother's friend in a coma. Her mother dies and Donna's life changes instantly. Her ex-husband, Nathan, doesn't make things better bringing more problems to Donna's plate. She then meets a new guy, Michael, who steps in to make changes.
When the best friend awakes from her coma, all the answers to Donna's problems unravel. This is one of the best books read this year and I will continue to read more of Brian W. Smith's books in the future. Brian W. Smith has not failed me yet with another excellent book, "Donna's Dilemma." This book is filed with drama from the beginning to the end.
Divorced, suffering from the recent loss of her mother, financially strapped and trying hard to be a good mother thanks to the absence of her ex, Donna Ledbetter has had it rough. Depression quickly settles in making Donna somewhat of a recluse. Forcibly, her friends get her out to celebrate her birthday where she meets Michael, a handsome, small business owner that’s interested in getting to know her better.
DONNA’S DILEMMA is filled with desires for her children, greed and pretense. The story was unsurprising and easily forgettable. I’d consider myself a fan of Brian W. Smith’s other stories and I’m hoping that if he considers revisiting these particular characters that he sets the bar much higher.
Donna has a horrible husband and a mother who only wants the best for her. What happens when her mother dies leaving her all this money and her husband tries to come back in her life? Hearts will be broken, friends will be lost, and lies will be revealed.
This was my first read by the author and I was pleasantly intrigued by the good story. From beginning to end Smith kept me engaged and wanting to know what happened next. There were a few editing issues that needed to be addressed, and there were moments when the wrong characters names were used. I will be reading more from this author.
This was a very good novel. I enjoyed all the twists and turns. In true Brian W. Smith fashion , just when I thought I had it all figured out he flipped the script! I wanted a little more for the ending but overall a great story, quick read!
