As soon as Thalia arrives in Pompeii with her acting troupe, her dog runs off. Her search shows what the city was like before the eruption. She works together with native Felix to escape when Mt. Vesuvius blows up.
This well-told story will interest middle-grade readers while introducing them to life in a Roman city.
