4,4 stars just because it's too short.
Brandy always been in love with her friend Ryker, he's been her rock.
Having problems with depression, he's been the one always around, her best friend.
But now, not even Ryker can help her.
With her parents dying in a car crash, Brandy is worse than ever, and she feels nothing...
Ryker, for Christmas holidays, comes after her and demand they spent Christmas in a cabin that his parents have in the mountain.

When Brandy arrives to the cabin, nothing would prepare her to see what she encountered.
Their relationship takes a real turn, and she founds out that Ryker is not only her best friend, but also her protector, and he's obsessed with her.
This involves sex with knifes, so if this is a thing for you, you shouldn't read it.

It's dark and sexy, and I can't wait to read the second and what will happen to them...

¿No les ha pasado que terminan leyendo un relato extremadamente corto que aman más que los libros del mes anterior?
Me encantó este libro. Tiene algo oscuro que termina siendo bastante dulce.
La historia trata sobre Brandy, una chica que acaba de perder a sus padres y se siente terriblemente sumergida en la depresión de la cual ha intentado escapar durante toda su vida. No hay esperanzas, ni deseos de escapar de la oscuridad, pero eso no deja que Ryker la deje ahogarse. Él es su ancla, el único que ha logrado ser su tabla de salvación, pero tiene un gran defecto.
Ryker es demasiado… perfecto.
Es abrumador no ser suficiente y no tener las energías para siquiera intentarlo, pero entonces, Brandy descubre que ella no es la única sumergida en la oscuridad. Ryker es la oscuridad y ella es su «Little Star», la única capaz de iluminar su vida.
Claro que es algo súper romántico, pero eso solo es la punta del iceberg en este relato corto. Hay mucho erotismo, un cuchillo de por medio y un terrible fetiche por empaparse de sangre mientras follan como conejos.
¿Qué más se puede pedir para la época de navidad?

I had such high hopes for this one because I loved the Halloween one by this author. And the blurb got me!!! But there was something missing for me.. idk it might have been because it was short? Idk but I enjoyed it.

Brandy is having a hard time getting past her parents death it’s gotten bad that she quit school, doesn’t care what happens to her.. her mind is all over the place and that has her best friend Ryker having enough of it. He takes her to his family cabin to help her.. a nice Christmas turns into something a little darker when Brandy walks in on Ryker next to a body and bloody!!!
But she isn’t scared she’s ready to die…

I won’t say more since it is a short story.. lots of bloody play.. and knife play.

I feel a strong pull to Brandy/Little Star. I'm a sadomasochist, who often falls into very dark places mentally. When I get to play consensually with others it helps those dark places not be dark. So, I get you girl. Be your freaky self.

I loved this book.
I love long stories, but I also really enjoy these smaller bite sized ones that you can fall head first into. You can connect with both LS and Ryker. ( I have to admit I kept seeing Ryker from TNG. Hehe )

Some people may have issues with the knife, blood play, and murder, and while the first two are kinks in the community the last one is not. But, even with this, you could see, where someone who is already psychotic could do this for someone. We give baths to our loved ones when down, a psychopath does murder.

I had hoped that the person LS saw dead in the cellar, was the person who was the drunk driver or what not. That would of been great. Maybe in another book?

I would love to see LS to back to college, maybe online. So, she can finish what she started, but still stay safe. It would be interesting to see Ryker teach her how to hunt someone down, and take them out. While still protecting her, also teaching her that she is strong. I don't know, I just want more of them

Brandy loses her parents in a car accident & in turn, lost herself. She drops out of school & just goes thru life without meaning.

Before Christmas she gets a visit from her best friend, Ryker, who tells her he will absolutely not be letting her spend Christmas alone and that she’s to meet her at his cabin & spend it with him.

When she arrives she sees a side to ryker she’s never seen before and one that sings to the demons she has. The two find that through pain, Brandy is able to be free of the hurt she’s been harboring… meaning we get to see the two get hot, heavy & bloody 😈

Psychopath in Love

Brandy and Ryker are besties. When Brandy's parents pass away Ryker shows that he feels the same for Brandy as she does for him. Brandy learns about a side of him she didn't know about.

Everything about this story was beautifully dark and haunting… aka right up my alley.

Ryker is so dark and possessive, I couldn’t help but instantly adding him into my top favourite book men list. He’s just everything my dark heart could ask for in a book. I hate how short this story was though as I wish I could read more about this couple.

Read the triggers before beginning this book as some readers may find the content within the story triggering.

A quick fun smut filled read, set at Christmas time. This is exactly like the author explains it; a fast paced, smut filled (like right from the beginning), kink filled, no plot short story and it’s absolutely that. You could read this book anytime of the year really because although it’s set at Christmas time, it isn’t Christmasy. Well except for the snow.

There’s quite a few triggers in this book too so be mindful going in but a good read non the less and the smut and the kink in this was hot too.

First off, let me say the story is very well-written, but I guess it's just not my kind of thing. Although I enjoy BDSM novels, this is heavily into the SM part of that kink, plus a darker side that I won't get into so I don't spoil the story. It's also very short and actually part of a duet, so there is very little room for character development, which means that while I could understand the reason for Brandy's depression, it left me wondering what made Ryker the man he was.
