Denise and Flint - Against the Odds

Great read! Erica Davis had me crying for the misery and abuse Denise endured all her life from her father and her mother never stood up for her until the last chapter, 29 years too late. Flint was her rock and with a baby on the way, he stands up for Denise, causing her to finally stand up for herself against her father to the point of filing a lawsuit for her trust fund that is 4 years overdue. I wonder if he used any or all of that money as his? Either way, he has to give it back as it’s her instantly and could be with interest!

Same Issues...

This book has the same issues as the first one. It leaves a lot of unanswered questions. I don't think I'll be reading the final book. Its to frustrating and some things just make no sense. How does a "line shack" turn into a home for a family??? Just a lot of nonsense that makes no srnse

Why as adults do we care what our parents think about our love choice? If they truly love us they should be happy that we're happy, and get on with their own life. The fact that this couple had to hide their relationship as well as their children was ludicrous. Her father was a piece of work, and I was happy that he got what he deserved.

The ending was too abrupt. It seems unfinished.

TOO MANY UNANSWERED QUESTIONS. THIS COULD HAVE BEEN ADDRESSED IN THE EPILOGUE. THROUGH IT ALL, THE BOOK WASN’T TOO BAD. I ENJOYED IT.

What???

How can a book with over 300 pages not say much. It was a good story, but it felt so very half baked. Such a corny ending!
