Odin Hendrix has a talent for cleaning up other people's messes. Only, he's becoming less and less enamored with his career path. When he walks in on a blood splattered crime scene that needs his special sort of attention, the last thing he expects is the blonde haired, blue eyed, curvy morsel that bursts from a closet fighting for her life.
If he does his job the way he should, Gracie Stefanova will be just another body to be handled. But that's not going to happen. He's got her tied up tight and locked in his basement bunker in record time.
Things heat up when she decides she's done being a prisoner. Even if it is to the brooding, hot kidnapper who is tempting her in ways she never dreamed possible. There's just one problem: the people that hired Odin to clean up their mess see Gracie as a loose end that needs eliminated.
And if he won't take care of it, they will.
Odin Hendrix is an island unto himself. He likes order. He hates being touched. That is, until Gracie Stefanova turns his world upside down. Her lush curves have his control panel short circuiting and all the feelings he's kept buried for three decades come boiling to the surface. The resulting steam will have you wiggling in your seat and looking for a fan. It's no cheating, a little spanking, and some push-pull that will have you rooting for these two to find their unique version of happily ever after.
Nikolai Andrew has been writing stories as far back as he can remember. His elementary school teachers used to have him stay after class to try to explain some of his more creative work but with a to-die-for smile and wisdom beyond his years, he always managed to charm his way out of trouble. Not much has changed, except he's now found an outlet for his stories where he can show off a bit of his darkness, a dash of dominance and a sprig of hopeless romantic topped with a whole helping of hot.
When he's not writing, he's playing with his many aquariums, searching for rocks, enjoying cheap vodka and making waitresses blush. He's got a penchant for vintage Playboy's and Vargas girls and a weakness for giving out spankings and cookies. Drop him a line anytime. He loves to hear from readers. Especially their own ideas on what he should write next.
I ask myself why was I so sure the heroine was a virgin? I stopped reading at that moment, in the middle of the book, when she confessed that she had fucked one time with some kind of driver! all! I'm upset! And I liked this book so much and I was so upset by this fact! I wasted my time which I already have so little!

This is definitely a me problem, I didn't know that there will be DDLG in this novella, and I'm not a fan of that. Aside from that, their role play about flying made me cringe. 😬 Both MCs were wishy-washy and I hate the back and forth they do everytime. She'll go from angry and wanting to escape to being horny, flirty, and clingy in a hot minute. Then him trying to put her in arms length and not wanting to touch her to being a "daddy" that teaches/punishes her for being a "bad girl" 🤦♀️.
Odin's job is to clean up any mess after a hit, blood, bodies and staging it all up to look like an accident. But when they go to their new assignment he sees Gracie, a potential witness to what happened. Instead of killing her, he kidnapped her and brought her to his mansion. They felt instant attraction and Odin knew from the first moment she would be his. With force proximity and all, things happened between them, and they got together eventually.
Like I said, this is probably a me case and I didn't enjoy it like all the other books in this series. The only thing that I was happy about in this novella is the fact that Gracie isn't a virgin. I'm so tired of virgin tropes and the guy is experienced. Other readers might find this up their alley, it just isn't mine.
This was an interesting book. The hero (anti-hero) had a number of control issues, including not being touched. I really enjoyed the book, but felt the back and forth between him and the heroine went on just a little too long, while some of the action not long enough. Some of the twists and turns along the way to their HEA were expected, others were not. Overall, another book that I thoroughly enjoyed by Nikolai Andrew.
I really struggled with this book. It probably deserves higher stars because it is well written and for someone into Daddy/little girl kink it would been great. For me, not so much. It is just so much happening. Orin is definitely not the good guy here. Not the Hero at all except to Gracie though it took her a while to tryst him. Gracie was a bit annoying.
I loved this story. It has a great couple that become the perfect team. Anti-heroes are the best. They are always the big teddy bears for thier women. And the perfect violence to everyone else.
This was amazing Gracie and Odin were amazing. Nikolai has a knack for taking the dark anti hero and making you love them regardless. I also loved that Gracie while having submissive tendencies she still fights for what she wants.
