Charlie Gibson is the first port of call when Marion Hennessey, one of Hollywood's biggest stars, finds herself in trouble. Marion's yoga instructor has been murdered, but Marion herself was the intended target, and Charlie has to find the killer before they strike again.

The stakes are high as Charlie finds herself mired in the word of celebrity gossip. And she soon finds herself a new leading man as the gorgeous Rowan McLeod seems happy to help her in any way he can. However, the closer she gets to Rowan, the more questions Charlie seems to have regarding her relationship with Jake.

With help from Dot and Rosie, Charlie is confident she can find the killer and bring them to justice, even if it means doing yoga for once in her life. But Charlie soon finds herself in the killer's crosshairs. She has to get to the bottom of this, and fast, before she ends up in corpse pose—permanently.

This is a wonderful series. Very entertaining and Webb hides her baddie very well. The narration by Khristine Hvam make this tale come alive.

In this book Charlie Gibson picks up a celebrity client. Marion Hennessey's yoga instructor takes a drink that was meant for Marion and drops dead. Was the instructor to target or Marion? All bets are that the poisoned drink was meant for Marion. Everyone in Marion's party is a suspect, even the hottest leading man in Hollywood.

Rowan McLeod is impressed with the tenacity with which Charlie pursues this case and he is also impressed with Charlie for personal reasons. And Charlie is just as impressed with him which has Charlie questioning her relationship. or lack thereof, with Jake. This case leaves Charlie, Dot and Rosie with a lot of suspects and when she digs deeper, she can only come to an inevitable conclusion.

Pina Colada Poison is Book 4 in the Charlotte Gibson Mystery Series by Jasmine Webb.

I could not put this book down, literally. If you're not reading this mystery series your totally missing out.

Charlie has a new client and is one of Hollywood's most famous actresses. She has been hired to find out who killer her yoga instructor. The characters are so fantastic and well written.

The setting of Maui is GLORIOUS and beautiful and so vivid.

Charlie's friends Dot and Rosie are a hoot and add so much to the story.

Add in the hot detective Jake, this is one story you don't want to miss.

The final reveal left me shocked, I thought I had it figured out , but I definitely didn't.

A fantastic mystery with all the right elements to escape to Hawaii without leaving your house.

This author doesn't pay attention to the math in her books. By that I mean, she wrote that Marion and her husband were married for eleven years when they separated (ten years ago). But there was no custody issue because their child was an adult? How does that happen in eleven years? Unless the divorce became final after seven years, or their child was born before the marriage, there is no way the child was an adult.

Then Charlie tells Rowan that she moved from the island when she was a teen (and in previous books she said she was sixteen) and lived in Seattle for fifteen years, that would make her thirty-one years of age. But she and Zoe keep talking about not being in their thirties yet.

In every book, on every television show, in every movie, how do people not know someone is in their back seat. I have a light that comes on every time my car door is open. There is no way anyone would be able to hide in my back seat.

Another fun adventure with Charlie, Dot, Rosie, and Jake, with a little Vesper thrown in for fun. Charlie is hired to find out who killed the the yoga instructor of a movie star, and also searches for a missing man. Both mysteries have surprising endings but along the way, Charlie has to contend with a possible blooming romance with a Hollywood actor (say whattttt). Is Jake jealous 😁😁😁??? Sort out exactly what her feelings are for Jake, and prevent her famous client from being the next victim in a body bag. All in all, just another day on the island.

4.5 stars. Another great cozy mystery in this series, with an ending I didn’t see coming. Once again, fun characters and great narration.

I enjoyed this book very much. It was light and a quick read. I didn't have to stop and think, I just kept reading. It's a great escape book and had an interesting twist, which I enjoyed.

REVIEW OF AUDIOBOOK; APRIL 26, 2025
Narrator: Khristine Hvam

A fun installment, albeit disappointing murder mystery. It was so easy to guess whodunit and whydunit that the only kudos I can give to this installment is that it didn't have much of the old biddies but was almost totally centered around Charlie's skills as a - now - seasoned investigator. She's made a name for herself in her profession such that a glamourous star, Marion Hennessey - back when she ruled Hollywood - hires her to find the killer of her yoga instructor. What Marion suspects, however, is that killer was targeting her, not her yoga instructor.

As I said, the who and the why aren't much of a mystery since it has been done before and any fan of the genre can spot it from the first couple of chapters. Nevertheless, I'll stick to this series because there are no TSTL moments from the protagonist and her hottie detective is clearly thawing where her job is concerned - the PI one, not her ice cream serving one - and even though Charlie decides to ask the Hollywood hottie, Rowan, out on a date, we, the reader, are assured - by Rowan, no less - that Charlie isn't interested in him but the cop. He tells her it's easy to see they only have eyes for each other (or words to that effect) but, of course, Charlie denies it.

I foresee Charlie and Jake out on a real date in the next installment - YAY - but I do hope the whodunit will be better crafted. I don't like my murder mysteries overly complex but umm, not so simple that the killer is giving me a headslap after a couple of chapters!

Set In Maui - Great Story

I really enjoyed this book and even though it is the 4th in a series I had no trouble picking up without having read the other three. Great book that I didn't want to put down. Fun story line with enough humor weaving throughout it to keep things fun. Could picture the paddle board struggles with ease. :-)

I will be looking for more of Jasmine's books and picking them up. I love Maui and could follow along with where she traveled. Thank you for offering this book in a giveaway. What a great read!

The one you least suspect

Charlie had a rough way to go in this book. The lies people tell and the games they play make it hard to tell the truth. Charlie also is crazy over Jake since he is so good looking, but since she has been burned so badly in relationships she doesn't trust herself any longer. The actor Rowen is crazy about her, but has seen her twice when she is around Jake, and can plainly see that she loves him. Now that Rowen has told her, she is beginning to rethink about Jake.

Delightful Series

Charlotte Gibson, who actually prefers to be called "Charlie", finds she has a talent for solving mysteries and wants to be a licensed private investigator. Charlie has a knack for getting tasered, and for nearly ending up a fatality in her own investigations. Her neighbor, Jake, who happens to be a homicide detective, finds himself constantly worried for Charlie's safety. You'll laugh out loud at the antics as Charlie and her mad cap associates, Dot and Rosie solve one case after another.

Another adventure for Charlie trying to solve the murder of a yoga instructor who worked with famous actress Marion Hennessey. Marion hires Charlie to find out who done it as she is sure the poison was meant for her not the yoga instructor. There are many suspects so for and her elderly pals Dot and Rosie are all in to help her. She also gets another case involving a missing man.

A famous movie star ends up kissing Charlie which gets her picture in the tabloids and maybe makes hot cop Jake a bit jealous?

Almost as much fun as a pina colada

I won this from a Goodreads giveaway. I hadn't read the first three, so I didn't know what to expect from this series. This was quite amusing and well thought out. There weren't many printing errors, and that is always a plus. I liked the main characters. I would like to read the three which preceded this one, and would read others after this one, as well. Recommended!

Charlie P.I Grows

Charlie’s is really settling into her private investigator job. This time she’s hired to find a pina colada killer as well as a second case involving a missing husband. I continue to enjoy the way her friendships with Dot, Rosie, Jake and Zoe continue to evolve. Both mysteries had me guessing to the end which I much prefer to being able to figure out the answers early. I will definitely be continuing this series.

Tasers Are Us

Charlie is on the hunt for a killer and a missing husband. A movie star hires her to find the killer when her yoga instructor drinks the Pina Colada meant for her. Then a wife hires her to find her missing husband. As Dot and Rosie help they find danger and fun as usual.

I liked this one a little less than the previous books . First reason is that Charlie seemed less likable then before. I thought that some of Charlie’s comments were unnecessary. The second reason was the missing lawyer mystery had two large holes in the solution. These holes bothered me but might not bother someone else.

Love These Books!

These are easy to read books. There is something about them that makes you want to keep reading until you finish each one. Charlie is becoming a friend that you would really like to meet, if you could. Keep up the good work, Jasmine! I also love Dot and Rosie, who are more my age than Charlie is.

Goodreads Kindle Copy Win

Take an adventure with a fun cheeky heroine, who finds herself in less than ideal situations. You never know what trouble she gets into as a private investigator. You will fall for her antics as she manages to stay alive. A fun mystery to enjoy.

Overall very good

I really enjoy Jasmine Webb’s writing. This story was entertaining and original. I am disappointed in how it ended. I want to know how Charlie put it all together because I didn’t see it coming!

Love this new series! Cozy fluff mysteries about Charlie and her two well advanced in age cohorts Dot & Rose. This one I suspected the “who done it” way early and was shocked I was right! -
