While there are some changes that I was disappointed in (Ephesians 2:10 I prefer in the NRSV) there was some delightful new phrasing, especially Genesis 1:2, in which "the earth was complete chaos."
This is my fifth time reading the Bible all the way through in a year, and reading through a new version each time helps keep the word fresh and alive.
