Shadow of Descent

True love, evil villains, fearless heroes, harrowing escapes... How can a family torn by death and greed ever find the truth? The Tobin children grew up alone, with no memory of each other or their parent's untimely deaths. Their guardian separated the children to maintain control of their vast fortune, hiring former SEAL team agents to ensure they never meet. With deadly intentions against people close to the Tobin children and eye-for-an-eye revenge plans from psychopathic gangsters--reunion seems impossible. "From the opening scene in Munich's English Garden I found myself wondering, with the young mother, would her three-year-old son, Max, and her daughter, Anna, remember her when she was gone. The author had captured my heart. Soon I was as concerned as she would have been about the survival of Max and Anna. The good guys are good and the bad guys are very, very bad. What a great read. Shadow of Descent is hard to put down." D.W.G., artist. "A thrilling and suspenseful read with a narrative of nightmarish mystery, violence, greed, bravery, passion, and love. Robert Joseph's first novel grips his readers while unraveling layers of page-turning intrigue--including a harrowing brush with a dangerous criminal underground. Shadow of Descent seeks to answer the age-old question....will good triumph over evil?" Nancy Barr, entrepreneur and avid reader

Some parts of the book are kind of dark, and when I wasn't feeling too great I chose more upbeat books. But it gets better as brave people risk their lives for others. Knowing there's such evil in the world is sobering though.
