Ambushed by God is a collection of real life stories about an ordinary guy who understands and embraces his extraordinary mission in life - to be a witness for Jesus in his every day life. Simply put, the situations that Kelly Talamo writes about are everyday situations that you and I find ourselves in all the time. 4 Stars - Honest, Bold, and Stirring

Ambushed by God is a raw and personal look at what it means to truly surrender your life to Jesus. Kelly Talamo doesn’t pull punches—his storytelling is honest, bold, and filled with moments that challenged me to reflect on how available I really am to the Holy Spirit in everyday life.

I appreciated how relatable his journey was—he doesn’t try to come off as perfect or polished. He just points to the goodness of God in the midst of his own mess and invites you to go deeper. Some chapters really stirred me up to live more courageously for Christ.

I’m giving it 4 stars only because there were a few parts that felt a little repetitive or could’ve gone deeper theologically—but overall, it’s a powerful read. Definitely worth picking up if you’re hungry to live a more surrendered life.
