It has some cute moments but it reads like a bad fanfiction. It info dumps right at the beginning and I would have enjoyed it more if it were more about her learning how to live with her new set of quirks than her mom telling us everything in the first chapter. Some creative problem solving would be great but the main characters hurdles are about as high and complicated as a weener dog.
overhyped and overrated. why are there so many white spaces? this is a manga, not a coloring book. you should've drawn something to make the pages look less empty 🤡 the art style is too simple at times and some characters have mediocre looking appearances, they're easily forgettable. the story was alright in the beginning but it's gotten painfully slow soon after. i love domestic and mundane slice of life stories but this one's poorly written on top of having serious pacing issues. it got boring so quickly and i started dreading the new chapters every week. lastly, i'm disgusted but not surprised at how its fanbase tends to give off weird creepy vibes despite them constantly acting like parrots and saying that this series is wholesome and refreshing. also i'd be rich by now if i were given $1 whenever they use either of those two words to describe this story. lmfaoooooooooo
My favorite current manga being published nowadays. It has a fantastic lead character who is learning how to deal with being different. You can compare what she’s experiencing to what some in our world are dealing with (fill in the blank). What I care about most is how matter-of-fact it deals with something that is so fantastical and the way she and her classmates and teachers react realistically. Yeah, it may look simple artistically but it makes up with body language and facial expressions, A+++. Like another manga I adore, Flying Witch, it’s so chill I sit down, read each page slowly, scan the artwork diligently and smile broadly.
This was cute! Short little coming of age about a young girl who learns she's half-dragon and is gaining dragon-like abilities (as evident by the horns she grew overnight). It's cute, Ruri is precious, and while it doesn't really accomplish much by the end there's this running them you find with a lot of coming of age style stories about accepting some of the weird things your body does, learning to love yourself and be comfortable with who you really are. And that's nice!
